Have you made a list or notes on whumpy Hallmark and if so where?🥺
You know what, I haven't yet! Let me do that for ya now. And if anyone wants to add their favs please do so!
A Gift To Remember: Darcy (Ali Liebert) hits Aiden (Peter Porte) while riding her bike and he gets knocked out and loses his memory. It’s pretty good.
Love on the Sidelines : Laurel (Emily Kinney) is a struggling fashion designer who finds herself with a job as a personal assistant for Danny (John Reardon), a quarterback sidelined with an broken ankle. Danny is on crutches for most of the movie and is recovery from his injury.
Spirit of Christmas: A young lawyer (Jen Lilley) finds romance with a spirit (Thomas Beaudoin) that takes the form of a human 12 days before Christmas. He was murdered and there are flashbacks to him being attacked and killed.
Christmas Homecoming: Stars Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson from SG1!!) as an Army Captain recovering from an injury in battle. He's got a broken leg and suffers from survivors guilt and ptsd.
Hailey Dean Mysteries: Deadly Estate for some good poisoning whump of a medical examiner. You want unconscious? medically induced coma? respirator? bedside vigils? worry? waking up with a twitching hand? walking down the hospital floor holding onto their iv pole? Then this is the movie for you!
Love Blossoms: one small part when the main guy, Declan, gets sick with a cold during the movie. It’s kind of cute but the rest of the movie's got nothing.
Second Chances: "A badly injured leg forces fireman Jeff, who lost his father in a fire as a young boy, to rent a ground floor room during his recovery. Thus he moves in with Jenny, a 911 emergency call center operator, and her two young children, Luke and Elsie, who soon dote on him as an ideal substitute father and try matching him with their mother."
My Gal Sunday: Henry (Cameron Mattheson) gets shot in the beginning of the movie.
Signed Sealed Delivered Lost Without You: Oliver goes on a hike with his father. His dad trips and gets a seemingly innocuous injury on his leg but the two of them get lost in the woods and the injury turns out to be life threatening.
A Godwink Christmas Miracle of Love: Eric (Alberto Frezza) is run over by a plow near the end of the film. There's lots of surgery, worry, hospital stuff.
Retreat to Paradise: "Jordan is recovering from a shoulder injury and his grumpiness tempts Ellie, his carer, to leave him to his misery. But will romance finally blossom?"
The Christmas Waltz: Roman (Will Kemp) hits his head due to slipping on an icy sidewalk and has to go to hospital
Taking a Shot at Love: "Sparks fly between a ballet instructor and a professional hockey player as she tries to help him recover from the same injury that sidelined her dancing career." It's not got a lot of whump but it is about a hockey player in rehab.
Martha's Vineyard Mysteries series: The whole series. Jesse Metcalfe's character Jeff was shot on a previous case and the bullet is still in lodged in his back and it causes him pain a lot AND he continually has nightmares about the incident. It's great.
Mystery 101: Killer Timing: Travis (Kristopher Polaha) gets blown up and even though the aftermath doesn't last long its still wonderful. He gets knocked out, there's an ambulance and hospital scene (kinda), worried family members.
Never Kiss a Man in a Christmas Sweater: Maggie O'Donnell (Ashley Williams) accidentally breaks Lucas Cavelli (Niall Matter)'s arm while carrying a Christmas Tree and offers him a room to stay in when he can't find a hotel room cause she feels guilty.
A Timeless Christmas: Charles Whitley (Ryan Paevey) passes out in 1903 and wakes up in 2020.
Aurora Teagarden A Bundle of Trouble: Martin Bartell (Yannick Bisson) gets shot in the shoulder
Christmas on the Range: Clint McCree (Nicholas Gonzalez) is attacked and beaten up pretty badly.
Mix Up in the Mediterranean: Josh (Jeremy Jordan)'s twin brother Julian gets hurt and can’t do a cooking competition so Josh takes over.
The Christmas Cure: Mitch (Steve Byers) falls off ladder and gets a concussion
Love's Christmas Journey: Sheriff Aaron Davis (Greg Vaughan) gets shot in the leg while chasing a robber. His injury is bad and gets infected. He gets a fever and is rescued by an old man who cares for him. The wound needs cauterizing and he suffers fever, chills, and more.
Hearts in the Game: Diego Vasquez (Marco Grazinni) is a hot shot baseball pitcher who has a panic attack during a game which costs the team the game. Turns out it was triggered by the anniversary of his moms death and he has another panic attack later in the movie as well.
Fourth Down in Love is about an athlete who is sidelined by an injury. Broken ribs I think?
Rip in Time: Another fun time travel movie. Rip (Niall Mater) gets knocked out at least once.
Three Wise Men and a Baby: Paul Campbell's character has social anxiety and has a sort of panic attack in the park at the beginning of the movie.
Jolly Good Christmas: Will Kemp's character falls into a frozen river and he comes out shaking and shivering and she gets him a blanket and tea and he needs a hot shower.
That's all I've got for right now. The bolded ones have the best whump in my opinion so definitely check those out first :) Love's Christmas Journey and the Martha's Vineyard Mysteries are A+ whump hallmark movies. Do those first ;)

BREAKING: A whistleblower from Barack Obama's late chef Tafari Campbell's family has reportedly come forward revealing that at the time of his mysterious drowning at the Obamas' Martha's Vineyard estate, Campbell had been working on a TELL-ALL book to expose the misdeeds of the Obamas. He is also said to have had a years-long sexual relationship with the former President. This comes at a time shortly after Larry Sinclair, a homosexual man alleges that he smoked crack and had an affair with Obama in 1999. It also fits a similar pattern to a little known case of a man named Donald Young, a member of Obama's church who allegedly had a years-long intimate relationship with him. In the heat of his 2008 campaign, the night before Young was set to come forward to the American public to expose Obama, he was mysteriously shot and murdered in cold blood in what was later deemed to be "a home invasion" in Chicago. No suspect was ever charged with his murder. This is a MAJOR revelation and it appears that the truth about Barack Obama is finally coming to the mainstream of the American public. This begs the question: What really happened to Tafari Campbell, Obama's chef and Donald Young? They deserve justice.

REVEALED: Obamas WERE On Martha's Vineyard When Chef Mysteriously Drowned in their POND: 8 feet of water
In a turn of events, it has been confirmed that former President Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle Obama, were indeed present on Martha’s Vineyard when their personal chef, Tafari Campbell, tragically drowned under mysterious circumstances. The Obamas, who own a massive house on the island, initially reported through their office that they were not at the residence when the incident occurred.
However, the narrative has since been changed, stating that while they were on the island, they were not at their residence at the time of Campbell’s unfortunate demise.
Campbell, 45, was discovered dead on Monday by divers after he went missing in the Edgartown Great Pond, Massachusetts. Campbell had been paddle boarding with another individual around 7:40 pm on Sunday. Eyewitnesses reported that he was dressed entirely in black and was not wearing a life preserver, a detail that has added to the mystery surrounding his death.
The DailyMail wrote:
Initially, the Obamas’ office said they were not home.
Their office clarified on Monday that they were on the island, just not at the residence when Campbell drowned.
The circumstances leading to Campbell’s death remain unclear, and an autopsy is expected to take place. As part of the investigation, a toxicology analysis will also be conducted, which is a standard procedure in drowning cases.
Campbell had a long-standing relationship with the Obama family. He served as a sous chef at the White House during the Obama administration and continued to work privately for the family after they left office.
Adding another layer to the mystery surrounding Campbell’s death is the fact that he had taken swimming lessons as recently as 2019. Reports have led to further speculation and questions about the circumstances of his death.
Campbell’s Instagram ‘Fitness’ highlight showed his dedication to maintaining his health, showcasing him swimming backstroke, freestyle swimming, logging a 40-minute swim workout on his Apple watch, and even bench pressing 315 pounds.
WATCH:
Campbell’s wife, Sherise, released a heartfelt statement on Instagram mourning the loss of her husband. She wrote, “My heart is broken. My life and our family’s life is forever changed. Please pray for me and our families as I deal with the loss of my husband.” The couple were parents to twin 19-year-old sons.
The staff at Edgartown Meat and Fish Market, where Campbell was a regular, also paid tribute to the chef, whom they remembered as a ‘wonderful guy’. “We saw him last week, he was such a nice and happy guy,” one staff member shared, adding that Campbell had been a customer for a few years and would often chat about what he was cooking.
Barack Obama's Chicago Man Country Friends:
November 17, 2007 Larry Bland shot and killed in his own home
December 24, 2007 Donald Young shot and killed execution style in his own apartment
December 26, 2007 Nate Spencer died in Chicago Hospital (AIDS)
November 14, 2011 Larry Sinclair, Obama's CHICAGO 1999 Bathhouse & cocaine prostitute involved in hit and run car incident
In 2008 Beau Biden & Joe Biden arranged to have Sinclair arrested for telling the Washington, DC National Press Club about his gay love affair and cocaine use with Senator Obama.

Set during the splendid summer days of 1960s Martha’s Vineyard, this page-turning debut novel pulls back the curtain on one mysterious and wealthy family as seen through the eyes of their nanny—a college student who, while falling in love on the elegant island, is also forced to reckon with the dark underbelly of privilege.
In 1962, coed Heddy Winsome leaves her hardscrabble Irish Brooklyn neighborhood behind and ferries to glamorous Martha’s Vineyard to nanny for one of the wealthiest families on the island. But as she grows enamored with the alluring and seemingly perfect young couple and chases after their two mischievous children, Heddy discovers that her academic scholarship at Wellesley has been revoked, putting her entire future at risk.
Determined to find her place in the couple's wealthy social circles, Heddy nurtures a romance with the hip surfer down the beach while wondering if the better man for her might be a quiet, studious college boy instead. But no one she meets on the summer island—socialite, starlet, or housekeeper—is as picture-perfect as they seem, and she quickly learns that the right last name and a house in a tony zip-code may guarantee privilege, but that rarely equals happiness.
Rich with the sights and sounds of midcentury Martha’s Vineyard, Brooke Lea Foster’s debut novel Summer Darlings promises entrance to a rarefied world, for readers who enjoyed Tigers in Red Weather or The Summer Wives.

So the Rory/Logan/Jess timeline in S6 is a little...insane. I may have concluded that S6 lost all sense of time and logic when plotting out this story (if they actually bothered to do that, which they may not have).
Jess comes to visit Rory in Hartford on the Nov 5 episode (6.8). We know it takes place more or less in real time because he mentions that her birthday was a few weeks beforehand. He more or less causes Logan and Rory's breakup by getting Rory to realize that her current lifestyle is making her unhappy and she needs to refocus on her goals and ditch the aimless partying. I believe Rory moves out of her grandparents house right away and goes to stay with Lane.
Tumblr media
The next episode is 06.09 (Nov. 15). Rory badgers her way into a job at the Stamford Eagle Gazette, reunites with her mother, and starts making plans to go back to Yale. People rag on Jess for not knowing the "real Rory", but his methods are pretty effective.
6.10 airs on November 22. It's Thanksgiving, so we are more or less in real time. Thanksgiving happens at the Dragonfly: Liz cooks. Jess does not attend. Logan's sister Honor calls Rory to tell her she's sorry about her breakup with Logan. They haven't spoken since Logan left her alone at the bar right after having dinner with Jess, so Logan decided to cut the cord by sending the word through Honor. As we find out later, he then starts sleeping his way through Honor's friends.
6.11 aired on January 10. Rory is back at Yale, so we're still in real time. I wonder if she saw Jess over the holidays. She moves in with Paris and Doyle.
6.12 airs on January 17. Logan decides he wants Rory back, but she rebuffs him. He goes to Lorelai and begs for her help, and Lorelai writes Rory a boyfriend recommendation letter. I think Rory is still undecided by the end of the episode.
6.13 is the infamous (and IMO, overrated) fighting episode. It aired on January 31. Rory doesn't reconcile with Logan until this episode, when he comes to her rescue at the paper.
6.14 is February 7. Paris is kicked out of her position as editor of the Yale Daily News and Rory is voted in. Paris kicks Rory out of the apartment and she moves in with Logan.
6.15 airs on February 14. It's the dreaded Valentine's Day episode. Logan (because he is insane, apparently) invites Luke and Lorelai to Martha's Vineyard for a couples weekend. As you will see, we are in real time here. Rory and Logan mysteriously have a weekend and domestic routine after being back together for two weeks and living together for one. What? How is that possible? He's also taught Rory to cook. I rather like this detail, but there is no way this was accomplished within a week. Did they take advantage of a time loop to accomplish this? So strange.
Oh, and they weren't living like this when Rory was at her grandparents during the summer and fall, because they spent all their time partying, Rory didn't have time, and the grandparents would have noticed if she was out of town with Logan every single weekend. Domestic Martha's Vineyard Logan is obviously someone who is trying harder and not partying so much, which is not who he was before the breakup.
Luke points out that he doesn't want to spend all weekend with Logan because "we don't know where we stand with this guy" and points out that Rory and Logan's relationship status changes every week. Luke was a giant douchebag this episode, but one can't blame him for being right.
6.16 aired on February 28. Rory finds out that Logan slept with Honor's entire bridesmaid party while they were separated, is upset that he "cheated" so soon after they stopped talking to each other, and moves out of his apartment and back in with Paris.
So basically they were back together a little less than a month.
I don't feel Rory is terribly sympathetic here. First of all, she had her tongue down both Tristan and Jess's throats within a day of her first two breakups with Dean, so she really is in no position to talk about moving on too fast. Second of all, the fact that they didn't clarify when exactly they broke up is on both of them because neither of them picked up the phone and asked the other one what was going on. No, Logan shouldn't have broken up with her through his sister, and yes, he should have told her what happened, and he certainly should have given her a heads up before she hung out with his sister's friends, but he technically did not cheat. At least not in the way Rory has done in the past or will a few weeks later with Jess. I don't feel she has the moral authority to proclaim herself as the aggreived one here.
6.16 airs on April 4. I'm not sure if this episode happens a week later or if it's an actual month. It's mentioned that Zach has been working his way up to asking Mama Kim for Lane's hand in marriage and he proposed the previous episode, so it very well could have been a month. Anyway, Logan talks his way into Rory reconciling with him and she moves back in.
6.18 (airing on April 11) is the episode where Rory goes to Truncheon and breaks Jess's heart into a million tiny pieces (again). This time she apologizes to him and admits that he deserves better than to be treated as her sidepiece. She returns to her Logan drama, while Jess is consoled by the many, many willing men and women of Philadelphia. Your slut destiny awaits, Jess. Enjoy.
Tumblr media
As we all know, Rory dedicates herself to Logan when he gets injured, and he moves to London at the end of the season (which takes place on May 9) despite Rory accusing Mitchum of trying to interfere in their sacred love and begging him to let Logan stay (Rory, you've broken up and gotten back together twice in six months and have only actually been together about half of that time. Also, you were making out with your ex three weeks ago. Calm down). This relationship does not seem particularly stable. However, we get new writers the next season, so it calms down and both of them actually mature a little before having all of that growth reversed in AYITL while Jess stays awesome. Oh, well.
The thing is, imagine if Jess had made a move sometime in the two months when Rory was officially broken up with Logan (the first time) or if they got together over Christmas or if he had made a move after the second break-up while she was living with Paris. I'm not sure if Rory was mentally stable enough for Jess or if this version of her could handle a long-distance relationship, but that's not the point here. It could have gone so much smoother for both of them, and Jess wouldn't have to be roped against his will into another cheating scenario.
But, alas. Not to be.

Saiwa and Kiyoshi/Conny are on their way to Martha, to bring the good/bad news.
She already awaits them. "Oh the horses! How wonderful!"
Tumblr media
Kiyoshi/Conny: "You have sheep now?" Martha: "Haha yes! Between us - these goats scared the hell out of me! I'm glad you took them with you. I will give them away after you left. Sheep are so much more sociable and friendly! Look at them!"
Tumblr media
Martha asked them inside where another suprise waited. Mysterious Rancher Roberto Crinkletop! Agnes Crumplebottom's husband on the run! Martha: "I hired him to help me with the farm, now that it's visible again."
Tumblr media
And then Saiwa had to confess that the horses refused to leave the Otherworld. Except for some shorter visits and the new episodes for 'The Stables'. And that they bound themselves to the goats and the Boys...
Tumblr media
Martha: "Don't worry, Boys! We are too old anyway to care for six horses. The sheep and the vineyard will keep us busy enough. And you deserve them!"
Tumblr media
"Look, I am well aware what you did for me. You risked your health and your lives to find the horses and bring the farm back. And by doing this you hadn't even enough time to make a living with the farm and I can't pay you. You don't owe me anything and I'm so, so grateful!"
Tumblr media
Martha: "Right, my dear Roberto?"
Kiyoshi/Conny: "Ahem - I think we should leave now..." Martha: "Let's meet at the Country Bunker this evening to celebrate! It's on me." Saiwa: "Thank you, Martha. For everything."

Lupo Cittá — S-T (12XU)
Tumblr media
“White Bracelet” shocks itself to life with a screech of feedback, a jolt of electricity that kicks off a barrage of electric strumming, a rumble of chaotic drums, a careening, coursing flood of vocal melody that is both world-weary and extremely energized. It’s the second song on Lupo Cittá’s first album, an emphatic rocker after the narcotic echo and sway of “Onde.” This is the one that sounds most like Chris Brokaw, which is always a good thing. Though to be fair, there are other songs that don’t especially, that perhaps bear the mark of the two other members, Sarah Black and Jen Gori, and they are awfully good, too.
Chris Brokaw, as you might know, has been in roughly a million bands, genre defining ones like Come and Codeine and lesser known outfits like Martha’s Vineyard Ferries and Charnel House, but all of them rough-edged and heart-felt and excellent. Lupo Cittá is the latest Brokaw-affiliated musical ensemble, formed in pandemic’s ebb tide around 2021,with two other indie music lifers. Sarah Black was a fixture in a vibrant Minneapolis scene, playing in Kickball, Period, Plain Jane, the Bleeding Hickeys, the Lie-Ons, the Pointing Geenas and Brandy Thunders and doing performance and visual art. Jenn Gori intersected with Black in several of those bands, playing drums in the Bleeding Hickeys, the Lie-ons, Pointing Geenas and Brandy Thunders.
Once the three members met, they discovered that they had just missed connecting in various episodes of their lives. They were in New York and Seattle during the same periods, and they all moved back to Boston in rough synchronicity though they didn’t really become aware of each other until meeting at a summer 2021 house show. Soon after the two women asked Brokaw to play guitar on a song for them, which grew into more songs and finally Lupo Cittá, an echo-drenched, psychedelic garage trio enamored of 1970s horror and spaghetti western soundtracks.
“Gallup to El Paso,” for instance, has a slouchy western swagger, a molten shudder of bass running through its cavernous, surf-inflected sound. A nocturnal penumbra hangs over this and other songs, clouds of reverb shadowing its slanting cowboy vibe. There’s something lurid about the way the melody breaks through the gloom, a flash of neon in a rainy midnight. “Only in Love” does the same trick with a 1960s girl group melody, wrapping it in so much darkness and uncertainty that it becomes something else altogether. These songs loom up like highways signs as you fly by, flaring out of the impenetrable black then disappearing. Jenn Gori sings in a haunting, dream-shrouded way, slipping in and out of a mess of undertones, even on the all-out rockers, so that the songs have both murderous energy and mystery. “Shawano Pickup,” for instance, blusters and rollicks, an unstoppable rockabilly rave in its bones, but its head, somehow, in the clouds.
This is not exactly a slow-burner —if you like this sort of thing, you’ll like it from the very start. But it does pick up depth and resonance from repeat listens, as this straight on rock record reveals the enigma at its unruly core.
Jennifer Kelly

Haunted Island: True Ghost Stories from Martha's Vineyard (1994) by Holly Mascott Nadler
Martha's Vineyard is, truly, a haunted island, as many residents can attest. Haunted Island presents a fascinating selection of their firsthand encounters with the supernatural side of this fabled island. There are the ghostly entities of Chappaquiddick that just may have played a part in the notorious 1969 car accident that resulted in a tragic drowning and a firestorm of scandal. And the spirit of an empty house who incessantly murmured a prayer for the dead (in French) in the ear of a terrified young woman. The ghost of aristocratic Desire Coffin, called by from the Other Side by the power of music and the memory of lost love. Mysterious Room 8 at one haunted inn, accessibly only by way of a cramped hidden staircase, and the focus of many unexplained events...including the total disappearance of one guest. There stories are not fiction. They are intriguing, sometimes disturbing, accounts that always ring true--as colorful and fascinating as Martha's Vineyard itself.

BREAKING: This is the police report from the mysterious drowning of Barack Obama's chef and alleged lover outside his Martha's Vineyard estate that CONFIRMS there have been 42 PREVIOUS POLICE incidents at Barack Obama's home. I told you so. It looks like the Obamas have some serious explaining to do... But wait, they have strangely been keeping out of the public eye and Michelle has been out of the country hiding with her buddies Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg. We will continue to break the details of this case that the mainstream media won't as we learn them. Why were the police called to the Obamas' residence FORTY-TWO times? JUSTICE FOR TAFARI CAMPBELL!
