Okay, so I fully sympathise with Luke when he breaks up with Lorelai, (the Say Something episode). Like it wasn't enough that Emily constantly insults him, now he found out that his gf went to her ex's house with a bottle of tequila and stayed the night? And she only told him bc she was afraid that the said ex would say something? He had every right to be upset. Sorry to go on about this, but Lorelai showing up at Christopher's doorstep with that bottle will always live in my head as one of the most foolish things a fictional character has done in the whole history of fictional characters. So his father died, so? You say, sorry to hear that, accept my deepest condolences. That's it. If that Stroberwhateverhisstupidnameis was an actual grandfather to Rory, then I could somewhat understand, but he wasn't even that.
Another thing is, why did Lorelai not try to give Luke some advice on how to act around her parents? She was aware of the class divide. Like this is a guy who introduced himself to the maid when Lorelai first took him to meet her mother. Teach him about the etiquette a bit! Don't give Emily more reasons to be prejudiced against him! It's like... like she subconsciously sabotages that relationship, or idk... Or maybe I'm forgetting that humans are flawed.
it's so wild that the best lyric in pop music history ("tell your boyfriend / if he says he's got beef / that I'm a vegetarian and I ain't fuckin scared of him") and the worst lyric in history ("do the hellen keller and talk with yo hips") are both from the same song ("DONTTRUSTME" by 3OH!3). just. crazy how that works
okay americans i gotta ask because as an European i grew up with lots of american shows and cartoons and in a lot of them there was an episode where they give the protags a doll or an egg or a bag of flour or whatever and told them pretend to be its parents or something
Sometimes I think about the fact that Dean Forester and his wife settled in Scranton, PA, and that they have a son who is roughly the same age as Dwight and Angela's son Phillip, as well as two other kids supposedly close in age. Then I wonder whose kid is the bigger bully on the playground and if Dean's kid has his girlfriend stolen by Dwight's kid because Dwight's kid is another bad boy who can read and if that brings back high school memories for Dean. I kind of really hope that happened.
PTA meetings are probably really interesting over there.
