Ursa Major

Lumberjack John Price, retired British Army captain, owns and operates 5,000 acres of selective harvesting land for his logging company. Unfortunately, you work for an environmental firm as a consultant, and it’s your job to tell him he has to stop logging at once since his harvest is encroaching on rare bear habitats. But, something’s not quite right about the bears, or about these lumberjacks, and you’re determined to get to the bottom of it.

Located near the Owl Nebula (M97) on the sky, the Surfboard Galaxy was discovered by Méchain in 1781, only three nights after he found M97. Messier himself observed it about a month later, although he didn't measure its position and so did not include it in his catalog.

William Herschel (1738-1822) independently discovered it in 1789. It wasn't until 1953 when American astronomer Owen Gingerich (1930-2023) identified it as M108.

Ursa Major and Ursa Minor

In the version of Care Bears, I want to make, I drew inspiration from Greek mythology. In some variations of Care Bear's, a star brings the bears and cousins to stay in Care-a-lot. It's not a far stretch to make the bear constellations the ones who give em a home. The founders would then fulfill the mission to spread caring and sharing because of reasons.

I would love to elaborate more about this but I'll just give the names of these two.

It's Callisto and Arcas.

3. Can they accept failure?

Absolutely not! Major is the type who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. If she fails? She throws a tantrum that may or may not kill anyone in range-and then she stubbornly tries again.

19. What sparks genuine, unadulterated rage in them?

Being told she's wrong. Major views herself on a pedestal above anyone else, and will entirely lose her shit if it's even insinuated that she may be wrong in her actions.

51. What element of their backstory are you most proud of?

Honestly? The fact that she went from a loving mother to a bloodthirsty tyrant essentially overnight. She had a good life until her cub died, and that was the trigger. She forced herself through the barrier between the sky and the earth in the hunt for anyone event somewhat relate to her child's death. The process of traveling between worlds in such a way destroyed what remained of her original personality, leaving nothing but hatred and a need for revenge.
