The Power Blue variant was a uqiue variant to SSC that was sonsered by Autism Speaks, and only given to Splat and Double Dare Trigger Happy (along with their vehicles.)

This makes it the worse variant, why?

Splat and DD.Trigger Happy, with the implied autism with them being both Power Blue, are the two most STRONGLY present stereotypes for the autistic community.

Splat: Very intelligent, gifted individual, but also outcasted by her people for her special interest until it befits them. Very verbal. (Think gifted child), and humanoid.

Trigger Happy: Non-verbal, talks in mostly babbles, hyperactive, non-humanoid, very prone to violence. Crazy.

Would have this been a problem if it wasn't just them? Maybe not. Then again… considering Autism Speaks (even at the time) agent towards shunning the Autistic community and eraticate them….

Not such a good thing…

Wrecking Ball

Wrecking Ball is a magic core from Spyro’s Adventure. His primary attack is to whap things with his long tongue while his secondary is to curl into a force field ball and bounce around the map. His tertiary is to unleash a belch that does damage. His upgrade paths boost his tongue (top) and his force field ball (bottom). I'd go with the force field path if you like combos, as that opens up comboesque abilities while you're using the ball. However, the two abilities you will gain are very similar. If you don't like the ball, or combos, go with the upper tongue path. I never really use his magic ball ability, as it's difficult to steer and stop. His tongue powers are the only attacks that do good damage, and they're too precise to be useful in melee range; Wrecking Ball is a longranger, with some dash abilities. Unlike similar skylanders, Wrecking Ball is very hard to use; his spins are chaotic and hard to maneuver, his burp attack simply doesn't do enough, I'd only grab him if you're into quests, in Giants. His heroic challenge makes some quests easier for your other skylanders. Overall: 4/10, I really wanted to like him, he just doesn't do enough. 

If you want to play as a similar skylander, Wrecking Ball plays similarly to Gill Grunt and Drill Sergeant (both of Spyro's Adventure)

If you want to play co-op, Wrecking Ball would pair well with a slower melee character, like Slam Bam or Chop Chop (both from Spyro's Adventure)

one of these days i gotta explain my headcanon that the kaos you can play as in imaginators is, in fact, the Actual Original Kaos and the kaos you fight in-game was the clone all along because something something “kaos’ ego would not allow himself to admit that he actually liked working alongside the skylanders post-superchargers so in an attempt to keep both his evil villain status while still getting to feel like part of a family without having to admit that he’d ‘gone soft’, he made up an entire fake story about him being a clone created with mind magic. also flynn knows he’s lying but that’s not important right now” because haha woah buddy kaos is painfully ooc in that game and this is the only way i can reconcile with his characterization lol

Sorry for not posting on here in forever, I keep forgetting to post, but I've recently redesigned one of my older Skylanders OCs, Nebula!

Voodood

Voodood is a magic core from Spyro’s Adventure. His primary attack is to simply slash in front of him with his axe, while his secondary is to launch his axe blade on a chain and reel in himself or enemies. My favorite is his tertiary; laying down a magical tripwire that closes on and shocks any enemy caught by it, and it can catch multiple. His upgrade paths boost his magical abilities (top) and his axe proficiency (bottom). I prefer his top path, because I feel without it, he's not a very magical skylander. His top paths boost multiple abilities, modifying his tripwire and giving his axe strikes more damage. It also gives an upgrade that makes him shock anything that hits him, similar to the thorns enchantment in Minecraft. His lower path grants combos, if you like that sort of thing. I really enjoyed playing him, I think Voodood is a fun mixed-melee skylander, and he's one of the more novel skylanders I've played. Overall 8.5/10, grab him if you want some novelty.

If you want to play as a similar skylander, Voodood plays similarly to Dino-Rang and Ghost Roaster (both of Spyro's Adventure), and Sprocket (of Giants)

If you want to play co-op, Voodood would pair well with another versatile skylander, like the dragons, or a charging longranger, like Gill Grunt (of Spyro's Adventure)

Skytober Day 17: Villain

Fun little animatic for a specific little moment I've had in my brain for a while! How'd this guy get all banged up? He accidentally dropped a warship on himself. Finally some of the AU's magic Hugo stuff, focusing a little on light and life magic here! Specifically life, hence the surprise visit by Flynn.

A lot of this au focuses on the whole "big floppa is scary compared to the usual little rodent like members of the species" and it will continue to. It's his own fault for being big and scary with no warning. +Bonus doodles, that darker one was supposed to be an end card but it didn't end up fitting the vibes, which is why the figures are cropped in a strange way.
