Hello Mr. Flanagan! I have a perhaps silly question. You mentioned in another post that you dislike the term Flanaverse. Totally get it, it doesn't exsctly roll off the tongue, right? But I have used it partly because I enjoy looking at and talking about your body of work as a whole, as you have some great crossover and connection in terms of themes (and a certain mirror). So having a shorthand for "Director Mike Flanagan's collective body of work" is useful!

So my question is this: is there another name you'd prefer? The Flanagan Collection? The Mikeverse. The MFCU (Mike Flanagan Cinematic Universe). The Flanthology. Something else?

Thanks for those, they're pretty delightful. I love that people are talking about the connections, I really do. I think the word itself was kind of rough, and I wouldn't have gone that way myself, but Netflix was excited about it and we didn't stand in their way. That said, we've tried to lean into it internally. I now insist on calling our returning actors and returning crew the "Flavengers", and whenever there's a new project I send out a "Flavengers Flassemble" blast.

Florida Attorney General Moody Announces Arrest of Skilled Nursing Facility Office Manager Priscilla M. Sluder for Grand Theft. TALLAHASSEE, FL (STL.News) Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit and the Orange Park Police Department are announcing the arrest of the former office manager of a nursing and rehab facility for grand theft.  Priscilla M. Sluder is accused of stealing nearly $30,000 from resident trust fund accounts for personal benefit. Attorney General Ashley Moody said, “Florida seniors should not have to worry about their personal funds being stolen, especially from a manager of a nursing facility who is supposed to be looking out for them.  The defendant’s actions are shameful, and I am grateful for my Medicaid Fraud Control Unit stopping this grand theft.” Sluder worked as an assistant business office manager for Orange Park Nursing LLC d/b/a The Palms Nursing and Rehab at Orange Park—a 120-bed skilled nursing facility.  The Palms provides both short-term treatment and long-term care through comprehensive medical services, 24-hour skilled nursing care, and programs in both rehabilitation and restorative care.  According to the investigation, Sluder took cash from the Patient Trust Fund, an account set up for residents to access cash to purchase personal items.  The investigation revealed Sluder stole funds for more than two years totaling $29,504 from at least 40 patients.  The Palms reimbursed all of the patients’ accounts for the losses and terminated Sluder. Sluder faces one count of grand theft of $20,000 or more but less than $100,000, a second-degree felony.  Attorney General Moody’s MFCU will prosecute the case through an agreement with the State Attorney’s Office for the Fourth Judicial Circuit. I find it odd, that I am unable to tag this particular Mission Federal Credit Union in Poway on any social media. Yesterday perusing my transactions I noticed a charge for goods and or services that have not been rendered, nor was there an email receipt or any other kind of proof that I had requested this money be taken from my account and on a recurring schedule at that. I call Josue at customer support to have the fraudulent charge removed, Josue was very accommodating and told me I could replace my card at ANY MFCU branch. Well, Josue, buddy, I am sorry, but Poway is not a real branch, and not to be confusing in the detail of this it is the branch at 13465 Poway Rd in Poway California 92064. On top of having four people behind the counter, there was only one teller working and serving customers. I waited 20 minutes, at the front of the line no less, to be told that their card printer was not working. A sign on the front door alleviates the extreme frustration I felt at having wasted my entire lunch break to have them wait to tell me news that would have been easily disseminated by a note on the front door. I am not a credit card kind of guy, the one line of credit I do have is at Home Depot, which is untouched. I was going to get gas as I am running on fumes, which wouldn’t have been a problem if I had driven the Tacoma, which is nearly full, but has a dead battery.
