Out of Blue Comes Green by M.E. Corey
Tumblr media
Kinkade wants what every other teenage boy wants: a girlfriend and a successful rock band, but that's not as easy as it sounds.
After a killer school talent show performance in full masculine presentation, trans boy Kinkade is quickly knocked back down to earth when his crush rejects him, and the whole school sees him in the dress his mother forced him to wear for a family photo. So, when the new girl Madi assumes he is cis and asks him out, he accepts without correcting her.
After years of being ignored by his old crush and bullied by other boys, Kinkade just wants to convince Madi that he’s a regular guy’s guy. To impress her and finally win the approval of his peers, Kinkade agrees to his best friend Libby’s suggestion that they enter a competition to become the band for prom despite his misgivings.
In between band practice, weightlifting, and dates, Kinkade accidentally becomes an animal shelter volunteer under an assumed name—and it’s there among the unconditional acceptance of dogs that he finally receives the affirmation he’s been longing for.
But it’s going to be harder than he thought to play the show, get the girl, and become the man he’s meant to be.

Sonic Playlist
There is a lot of good Sonic music. There are several Sonic spinoff games. There needs to be a Sonic rhythm game. There are certainly plenty of characters and visuals to include. Today, I’d like to list my definitive Sonic playlist.
Sonic 1:
Green Hill is overplayed but iconic.
Marble Zone sucks but the music is great, especially combined with the visuals.
Spring Brain is great
Labyrinth is especially good combined with the insane rap song over top of it
Starlight reminds me of Some Nights now
Scrap Brain isn’t all that great but it is classic to me
Special Stage is actually really soothing to me
Sonic 8-Bit:
Just Bridge Zone for being sampled in Tails’ Theme
Sonic 2:
Emerald Hill has always been my favorite over Green Hill
Chemical Plant is classic, almost overplayed
Mystic Cave has an awesome funky beat
Sky Chase just reminds me of Carly Rae Jepsen
Sonic CD (the Japanese soundtrack, except for the main theme):
Sonic Boom, of course
Palmtree Panic Present for just being a good opening
Stardust Speedway Bad Future for being the most iconic to me
The rest of the soundtrack if possible, because the whole thing is groovy
Sonic Spinball:
Toxic Caves for being the only level I ever played
Sonic 3 & Knuckles:
Angel Island, duh
Carnival Night for busting it down on a circus groove
Ice Cap for MANY reasons
Flying Battery, but the versions from Sonic Mania
Gumball Machine, especially the mashup with One Direction
Endless Mine for being sampled later in Escape from the City
Blue Sphere for being stuck in my head
Sonic R:
The whole thing, duh. There’s like six songs and they’re all vocal.
Sonic Adventure:
It Doesn’t Matter and the other main character themes are obvious inclusions
My Sweet Passion
Lazy Days
Believe in Myself
Unknown from M.E.
Open Your Heart, plus the version from the remix album featuring Corey Glover from Living Colour
Speed Highway for being a cool, high energy song
Red Hot Skull for being a creepy banger
Sonic Adventure 2:
Escape From the City, duh
Live and Learn, for being the best song in all of Sonic
Fly in the Freedom, for being Rouge’s only song
E.G.G.M.A.N. for being stupid
Pumpkin Hill, etc. for Knuckles’ ridiculous rap songs
Sonic Heroes:
Sonic Heroes, duh
Team Dark, Rose, Chaotix, and Super Sonic’s themes
Sonic Rush:
Every song, alternating Sonic and Blaze version’s or possibly mashing them up
Shadow the Hedgehog:
I Am... All of Me for being so cheesy
All Hail Shadow for being the only other song on the soundtrack I actually like
Sonic ‘06:
His World, duh
Dreams of an Absolution for being Silver’s theme, but I still don’t like it
Secret Rings:
Seven Rings in Hand, preferably the Crush 40 version
Black Knight:
Knight of the Wind, for being a good Crush 40 song
Free Riders:
Free, because I think it’s cool. I’d prefer a blend of the original and Crush 40 version
Generations:
A lot of these remixes are great, but the main one I think of is the remix of Super Sonic Racing, plus the remixes of Escape from the City
Mania:
Almost every song here is great, but Studiopolis especially deserves to be preserved, plus the remixes of Flying Battery and Chemical Plant
Forces:
Fist Bump is great but that is it
Team Sonic Racing:
Green Light Ride is great, fight me
Sonic 3D Blast, Advance 1-3, Battle, Riders, Rush Adventure, Unleashed, 4, Colors, Lost World:
I can’t actually think of many songs from these games that stand out to me or didn’t play them, but the games themselves deserve to be remembered
Other:
The trailer and promotional music for Sonic Mania
Other Crush 40 songs like Sonic Youth
Sonic Mania Remixed album by Tiny Waves
Sonix X’s US theme song
Emi Jones’s covers, especially Green Light Ride

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
Spoiler alert: This is not the final chapter.
The very best part of this movie is the dance that Crispin Glover does to the Song Love is a Lie by Lion. Apparently, Crispin was dancing like this in clubs all over so this was pretty normal for him.  I love that crazy weirdo! But it is just a riot.
At this point, we are rehashing the basics- kids go to Jason’s hunting ground to party, kids get killed.  We do meet Rob whose sister was killed in II - he is there to take revenge on Jason.  We meet a mother who is separated from her husband (and where better to go than a place where there’s murder!) her daughter Trish and son Tommy.  Mom, Trish, and Tommy (played adorably by Corey Feldman) are overall too friendly to everyone they meet- inviting them into their home and showing off Tommy’s mask making skills.  Oh and there’s a teen named Teddy who keeps carrying around a teddy bear and saying “don’t you want to kiss Teddy?” God Teddy!
Trish tries to get Tommy to run away and get out of the house (he doesn’t) while she distracts Jason and when she realizes that Tommy is still in the house- there is a second of incredibly good acting by the actress playing Trish reacting to that knowledge.
In the end, Trish and Tommy survive. And while Tommy is in the next 2 films- I don’t remember (I could be wrong) hearing anything more about Trish.  #wherestrish #trishfinalgirl
I don’t get the motivation for Jason here. To recap- I was Mrs. Voorhees, II was Jason getting revenge for his mom’s death, III was Jason getting his mask...but IV seems like okay Jason maybe get some counseling figure out who Jason really is. And who is the M.E. who thought Jason was dead when clearly he was not.  Technically, Jason dies in this movie for real and then we have to start digging him up.

STORY TIME: I find this rather amusing. From the years 2010-2012, I was known under the moniker ACB. Those are my initials, Austin Corey Breault. I was several monikers throughout this weird little warp in life. I was Dr. Destruction, Data Enkryptor, M.E. is AB and ACB. 2019 will mark my 10 year anniversary making music. I've been working on an anthology since 2016. I've been scouring jump drive after jump drive trying to find some of the original project files. I want to make a showcase of my first 10 years in making music. Mind you, it won't be pretty, but it's all mine. As for this photo, well, this is the Google Play ACB page. The top 4 tracks are mine, the fifth is A.C.B., who is not me. But, for those don't think they can accomplish anything: I'm a fucking nobody and I out-ranked someone signed to a label. Let that sink in.
