hi. I uh. I got into the craftsmanship costume contest at the largest con in my state for the Robin cosplay. So I'll be on a stage in one of the largest rooms in the convention center and I'll be introduced and then do a little performance in the costume. like of course she's still not a good mother but her character is just so complex and well written, there's so much depth to her as a person which ends up making episode six my favourite (like you :D). obviously being self-aware isn't enough like you can 't just be like "oh man, i suck" but never do anything to change it which jessie says in the episode, and jessie actively trying to make up for the hurt she caused (albeit in.. questionable ways) is so I N T E R E S T I N G and COOOOLLLLL
she also provides the other perspective to seth's hurt and AHHHHH "they forgive you because they've decided that loving you, feels better than hating you"

How is your day going over there? Wanted to share that today I have to go back to work 😭I teach in a private university, which souds fancy but it's just me losing my mind and my mental health trying to make the students understand basic human rights and failing everytime 🥲🥲

Well, I teach at a university too. But mines a public university. One thing I can say is that you can only do so much as their instructor. Especially college aged kids cuz they’re more grown up. Sure it’s on your to get their attention and explain the material. But that’s only half the work. The other half has to come from therm actually investing time and energy into the course and paying attention and being interested.
Idk about you, but I have noticed that ever since Covid. Students have become less and less attentive. It’s like an actual issue we talk about in department meetings a lot. Like they think using their phones in class is the norm now. And they think attendance is just a silly little suggestion lol. The pandemic has really changed how we view classroom learning it’s kinda wild.
All of that is to say BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF. you’re not up there teaching into the void. They’re responsible too! It’s not all you!

I love the idea of otacon introducing snake to Splinter Cell as like, a semi-joke, and at first Snake is real leery and makes fun of it but then he starts to get super into it and refuses to stop playing for hours, and always tries to get perfect stealth.
Snake (absentmindedly because he's super focused on making Sam scale an elevator shaft): Grim's cute. She reminds me of you.
(Poor Otacon in the background almost spits out his soda at that specific choice of words, but he's in another room so Snake can't see, lol.)
Otacon, pressing his cold soda can to his red face to try to stop blushing: How, besides the obvious? She's closer to you in personality than she is me!
Snake just makes an "I don't know" sound while still super focused on playing, unaware of the near death he has just caused.

She grins. “We’re celebrating.”
Quinn raises an eyebrow. “I haven’t even told you how it went.”
“So tell me.”
“I got the part.”
“Yes! Of course you did.” Tina hugs her tightly, shaking her a little from side to side in excitement. “I knew you would!”
Quinn laughs. “What if I didn’t get it? Were you just following your strong hunch that I got it and setting up a celebratory dinner?”
“Yes, and?”
“Thank you, my love. It’s beautiful.”
Tina smiles, the flickering candlelight dancing in her warm eyes. “I’m so happy for you, Q, and I’m so fucking proud of you. This is huge!”
“I know, I know,” Quinn squeaks, jumping up and down a little; she feels giddy with happiness from this huge success that she’s been working toward for so long. “I’m super excited.”
“I can tell,” Tina laughs.
“Shush.”
“You’re adorable. I love you.”
