Claiming His Mate- Part 10 PREVIEW
Work has been horrific. I am back and determined to finish this story. Halfway done with the chapter and was to excited to wait to show you the start. Very dark and very smutty.....maybe soft dark Morpheus will return at the end. Let me know what your think
18+ Trigger warnings in place
Tumblr media
Without time to let out a gasp. You were forced back. Your back hitting something soft knocking the air from you. You watch helplessly as Morpheus hand reached out and with one powerful tug the dress ripped from your body sending you juddering against the bed in horror as the material turned to dust on the air. His onyx eyes burning into you, a gleeful spark igniting in those murky orbs as black formless tendrils wrapped around your thighs dragging you harshly down the softness of the sheets. No matter how you kicked or twisted the thick vines that ensnared you herd you fast and firm unrelenting till you displayed before him like a sacrifice on an alter. Thighs pried apart, arms tugged out gentle leaving you bare and exposed to him.
"Morpheus... What?" you gasped as his eye roamed your body.
"Hush, My Queen. Save your strength... you will need it. The Fates tell me it is rather arduous."

Chapter 6
CHAPTER SIX: LakeClan
Nightbreeze was relaxing near the lake when Longstar and the rest of the fighters who had gone to the gathering arrived back at camp.
Longstar leapt up on the Tallrock, “We all remember Lemontail’s death, as it was very recent. ForestClan, those filthy Darkplace-worthy cats, accused us of lying about Lemontail’s death!”
The clan gasped, and Swanfeather, who had been sitting in the back, leapt to her feet. She was heavy with kits but tried all the same to convince them to let her join the war.
“We need to declare war on those…” she began, struggling to find what to say next, “...little balls of fox-dung!”
“Well,” Longstar began, “That’s what I was getting to. They have declared war on us, so tonight I would like a group of four of us: me, Minnowtail, Clearwater, and Nightbreeze. I plan on setting a trap; when a cat steps in it it will injure them, possibly heavily. I never hoped I’d have to kill anyone, but injuring one of them could possibly scare them off the battlefield,” she went on explaining the battle tactics. Considering that most cats in the other clans didn’t like water, they could use that to their advantage.
As the moon began to set the group got ready to depart, and Nightbreeze stretched her legs. The patrols would set out at moon high, as Longstar had memorized their pattern. They would have to work fast. They snuck out and entered the river, the water flattening their fur. The moon was nearly full, which illuminated the cats’ silhouettes. As they reached the shore, Longstar whispered to Nightbreeze, “The reason I chose you was because of your black fur; use it to your advantage.”
Nightbreeze nodded. She felt rather closed in with the trees sprouting up on all sides. She snuck through ForestClan territory, carrying with her some of the supplies needed to make the traps, and found a suitable spot to put one: a large open area near ForestClan’s camp. She began to dig a hole three feet wide and ten feet deep, just as Longstar had instructed her. Suddenly, just as she finished digging the hole and covering it with leaves, she heard the sound of paws trotting up behind her. She immediately rushed up into a tree, only hoping that whoever was there didn’t see her. It was hard for her to climb up, considering sharp claws weren’t all that helpful for swimming, but she made it up just in time. She felt her heart thumping, although it was creeping up her throat. The sun had started rising and she felt like she had been there for days.
The patrol consisted of four cats: Cinderpool, Brackenpaw, Tigerstep and an apprentice, Woodpaw. They got closer and closer to the trap, and Nightbreeze laser-focused her gaze on them. Suddenly, Woodpaw tripped and fell, headfirst into the trap they had set. There was a loud CRACK and Nightbreeze’s eyes widened. She had to cover her mouth with a paw to keep from screaming.
She never thought the young trainee would be the one to die.
Tigerstep frantically began digging, and when she saw Woodpaw’s limp body she let out a loud yowl that resonated in the silent air.
Nightbreeze heard Tigerstep crying, “My Woodpaw was so young! He didn’t deserve this!” And she let out another wail.
Then Nightbreeze heard more paw steps. Her body stiffened; she was petrified. Thicketstar suddenly burst through a patch of brambles and rushed over to the group. The leader gazed at the dead trainee, overwhelmed with sadness not only because the young trainee had died, but the fact that this was his son.
He padded forward and laid his muzzle on Tigerstep’s shoulder.
“It’s ok, everything will be alright,” he said trying to sooth her while his own tears fell onto his pelt
“No, it’s not! Woodpaw is dead! He was barely a trainee, and it was ALL LAKECLAN’S FAULT!” She cried, and stared over to the border and towards where Nightbreeze was in the tree.
Nightbreeze froze, worried that the aggravated fighter had seen her.
But as they gathered together, carrying Woodpaw’s small, limp body.
Nightbreeze’s thoughts rushed around in her head. This was, like her sister’s death, all her fault. Nothing that any cat in the Goldenplace ever said would change her mind. This was beyond anything she thought would happen.
As they left the clearing, she heard the end of Thicketstar’s words, “...they will regret this and get double the pain!”
Nightbreeze leapt down from the tree, tears filling in her eyes. As she reached the spot that the rest of the patrol was waiting, they saw her tears. Longstar put her tail on Nightbreeze’s shoulder.
“Are you okay? What happened back there? Who’s wail was that?” the leader asked her.
Upon returning to camp, a few of her clanmates threw questions at her as she lay down, wanting nothing to do with them; but just as she was about to close her eyes, Longstar came into the fighters’ den and crouched beside her, “Nightbreeze, tell me what happened. I’m your leader and I need to know what happened.”
Nightbreeze muttered under her breath, “Why is there even going to be a battle? Lemontail’s death has already resulted in more death.”
“I understand,” Longstar said. “But there’s not much I can do at this point.”
“The trap was finished when…” she stopped as tears started forming in her eyes again.
She sniffled and continued explaining. It felt good to talk about it, but when she finished there was still a pit in her chest. She could feel Tigerstep’s pain as she lay in her nest, and it felt as if there were ants crawling all over her pelt.
Suddenly, there was a loud scream from somewhere near the edge of camp, and no more than two minutes later, a breathless Bluewater came thundering into camp.
“ForestClan...they’re coming to...attack us!” The fighter exclaimed, trying desperately to catch her breath.
Longlight didn’t even respond, she just leapt into action immediately, organizing battalions and getting the seniors and kits into safe spots.
“LakeClan!” She roared from on top of Tallrock. “The time for war is now! Thicketstar has begun to launch attacks on us, and we need to act now!”
With that, she leapt off of the large rock and, taking a large battalion, a battalion that Nightbreeze was a part of, with her, she raced towards where the ForestClan cats were coming towards LakeClan.
“THICKETSTAR!” She screamed when she saw him and his cats.
And with that, the two groups of cats came together, screaming and yowling madly.
Nightbreeze immediately leapt into the fray, tearing at any cat she saw.
You made my clan lose trust in me! She snarled in her head, ripping her claws across one cat’s throat.
Eventually, the ForestClan battalion had been forced to retreat back into their camp. Nightbreeze and the others followed them closely, and the battle restarted in the camp of ForestClan.
After attacking and severely wounding several cats, Nightbreeze’s head whipped around, looking for a cat that hadn’t already been taken by another LakeClan cat. She saw a bluish-gray she-cat pinning a hissing Minnowtail to the ground. The she-cat raised a claw over his head, and Nightbreeze knew she had to act fast. She sprang towards the she-cat with the speed of a falcon in a stoop, and slammed into her from the side. She pinned the other she-cat down, spitting madly. She tore her claws across the she-cat’s face, but was thrown off as a result.
Nightbreeze and the she-cat stood, facing each other for a moment before the other she raced at Nightbreeze, claws brandished. But as she came down, Nightbreeze tore her claws across the she-cats throat so deeply that the she-cat simply fell to the ground.
Then, as she looked at her victim lying on the ground, she was attacked from the back by a silver tom.
“You killed my mate!” He roared, raking his claws through Nightbreeze’s pelt. He gave her no break to fight back, and so, when she could, she raced off. When she looked back and saw that he was following her, she just kept running away from the battlefield.
Eventually, she found herself in an open field, across which she could see tall mountains rising into the sky. She kept going until finally, she could go no further. She fell to the ground and closed her eyes for a moment, and when she opened them, she saw the dark blue eyes of another cat staring into her own.
But before anything else happened, Nightbreeze fell unconscious, the damage of her wounds finally catching up to her.

MoonClan Founder Allegiances!
Here they are! For this clan, I am trying to let almost everything be decided by the rng, unless I feel like I need to intervene. I am also going to try to keep their names as they generate, but I did change Moonstar's because i wanted the clan to be named after her! Feel free to ask me any questions, I'm so excited to see how this goes!

Moon 1 is here!
I got really indecisive on whether I should draw Mousepaw's tail injury in a funny way or a serious way so it's kind of a weird combo which makes it even funnier to me

Moon 2 and 3
Nothing interesting happened event-wise for Moon 2, so I just added some stuff I found cute and funny!
Mousepaw is really the main character lately (which is fine because I adore her). and Auburnleaf is really pathetic, everyone bullies him

Chapter 5
CHAPTER FIVE: ForestClan
The sun was high up in the sky when the clans finally had gathered together for the results of the competitions.
Swiftstream had watched the competitions rather closely, critiquing each of the competing trainees in his head.
He watched as Cinderpool leapt down from her branch with a piece of bark in her jaws. She had marked it up with the scores and was prepared to call out the winners.
“For the hunting segment of our competition, CliffClan came in the lead with twenty-seven points, it was a close match; LostClan was right behind them with twenty-six points, only one mouse away!”
Stillpaw and Springpaw stepped up as the leaders came forward, addressing each one and laying a wreath on their head. The first place wreath was full of golden flowers; and Stillpaw stood up tall, dipping her head to receive it before stepping back to where the other cats were congratulating her.
Next Springpaw stepped forward, given a wreath with twigs and grass wrapped around, a single flower stood out in front. It was nowhere near as impressive as Stillpaw’s, but he still walked into the crowd with cats congratulating him.
Stillpaw stepped forward and dipped her head in respect.
“Good game,” she told Springpaw.
Springpaw smiled and nodded, saying, “Good game to you too.”
Next, Cinderpool called out, “LakeClan got third, PrairieClan fourth, and ForestClan took last.”
The trainees stepped back, replaced by the trainees who had done the fighting.
Cinderpool stepped forward and said to Skypaw, “You fought well, with the courage of a fighter and the strength of a guard, earning yourself the title of first.”
With that, she set a wreath upon his head. He walked back to the gathered cats, and Brightpaw took his place. A second-place wreath was set on her head.
“Brightpaw, you fought well, too, with the courage of a fighter.”
Next came the winners of the obstacle course.
“Woodpaw, you used your speed and agility to leap through the course like a squirrel, earning you first place.”
 He nodded, his eyes shining.
“Thank you!”
He was one of the younger apprentices, excited at this being both his first gathering and his first win in a competition. This would make him into a fighter, as he’d won first in the obstacle course.
After all the awards had been given out, the leaders jumped up to their places on the Meetingtree.
“I hope all of you are doing well so far,” Goldenstar said; and Swiftstream commented “no” in his head.
He’d been very unamused while watching the competitions, especially during the fights.
I could take any of them, he’d thought to himself.
His mate, Stillwater, had to stay behind in ForestClan to watch their kits, and she had forced him to go to the gathering.
He was sitting next to his sister, Spottedear, as Goldenstar laid out the plans for the rest of the day.
“Wasn’t Skypaw a good fighter?” she whispered to him.
“I could’ve taken him down in less than a second,” Swiftstream replied flatly.
“Oh, come on, Swift. Just because you lost those competitions doesn’t mean you can be jealous at the other trainees,” Spottedear said.
Swiftstream shifted uncomfortably, saying nothing more to his sister. He then continued to listen to Goldenstar unattentively.
After the large orange tabby had dismissed the gathering, Swiftstream made no attempt to socialize with other cats, but instead made a beeline straight for ForestClan’s territory.
“Swift, wait!” Spottedear called after him. “Don’t you want to stay and talk with others?”
“I don’t like gatherings, Spottedear. You know this,” he replied, not even turning to face her.
Upon reaching the forest, he quickly found his favorite tree and climbed up to the top, where he laid down on one of the branches.
How come Cinderpool and Brackenclaw are so high up? They only won one competition each, Swiftstream thought to himself. I should be up there, too.
-------
Swiftstream heard the loud scream of a cat nearby and jumped to his feet.
He looked around and the entire forest was black as night, even though he was sure it had been the middle of the day.
He began trotting towards where the scream had come from, and once he reached the center of ForestClan’s camp, he saw a sight that he knew he would never forget.
There was a massive, dark-gray cat with pitch-black eyes staring back at him. It had black stars caught in its fur; and in its jaws, it held Stillwater’s limp body, colored red with blood.
Swiftstream’s gaze was suddenly lined with horror, and he heard a bone-chilling voice say, “You never should have left her in the way of the rising tide.”
He stumbled backwards several steps before turning and running back into the forest. But suddenly, he was stopped in his tracks by another black-eyed, starry-furred cat, who raised a wickedly clawed paw above his head. He could only watch as the cat took a swing at him…
——————
Back at the gathering, where all the cats were talking, telling stories, and sharing gossip, Spottedear only had one mission: to figure out what happened to Lemontail, healer of LakeClan. They had been close friends, and she was concerned by the fact that Lemontail wasn’t there. It wasn’t like her to miss a gathering. Was she injured? Or—the thought struck her like a thorn in the heart—was Lemontail…dead?
She padded up to Seedpatch, who had been announced as the new medicine cat for LakeClan.
“Hey!” Spottedear called out as she approached him, ”How’s Lemontail? Is she sick?”
“I suspect you wouldn’t know anything about it,” Seedpatch said in an accusing tone.
Spottedear stepped back, surprised by the hostility in Seedpatch’s voice.
“She died, torn apart on your side of the shore!” Seedpatch said, getting up as his fur stood up. “I’m sure nobody would accidentally just slit her throat.”
There was fury raging in Seedpatch’s eyes and his tail flicked back and forth. Lemontail had been his mentor, and like a mother to him.
That’s when Spottedear realized that Seedpatch was accusing her, and her clan of murdering Lemontail.
“We are not fox-hearts like you fools, we would never do such a cruel thing!” she exclaimed.
That’s when, out of fury and still reeling from the death of the old healer, Seedpatch lashed out, scoring a lasting slash on Spottedear’s nose. She recoiled, hissing.
As Spottedear recovered and prepared to strike back, Thicketstar got in the way. He earned a small scratch on his side from the young fighter, and he yelled, “Enough!”
Both cats immediately stopped hissing and spitting at each other.
“Spottedear, what has gotten into you?!” Thicketstar said firmly.
“Seedpatch accused our clan of killing Lemontail, their healer!” she replied angrily, throwing a nasty glare at Seedpatch.
Thicketstar moved to speak again, but Seedpatch cut him off.
“I know you killed her, I know it!” he snarled.
Then, Longstar, leader of LakeClan, intervened.
“What in the name of the Goldenplace is going on here?” she inquired of Seedpatch.
“I know it was ForestClan who killed Lemontail,” the healer growled.
“Seedpatch, we don’t know that for sure. It could have been a forager or a rogue; you shouldn’t just jump to accusing a whole clan,” Longstar told him, trying to bring him down from his place as the instigator.
But Thicketstar stepped forward.
“You should teach your cats not to go around accusing other cats of murder!” he told Longstar angrily.
Longstar was irritated, she flicked her tail and called out to her fighters, signaling for them to round up.
“My cats know not to make bad judgements, but the best evidence we have shows it could very well have been one of yours,” she replied, though not raising her voice much.
Thicketstar had had enough.
“You must be insane, thinking one of my cats would act like that, but if you want yourself to seem like the perfect clan, then maybe a war will settle these… strange actions of yours,” he proposed in a growl.
Longstar stepped forward.
”Very well. If any of your Darkland-destined fighters wish to come forward and admit what they have done, so be it; I’ll be waiting.”

Chapter 2
CHAPTER TWO: LakeClan
“Seedpaw, from this day forward, you shall be known as Seedpatch, and you shall become LakeClan’s new healer. Lemontail has taught you well in the ways of Healers. As for you, Toadpaw, you shall be known as Toadleap. Minnowtail has taught you well in the ways of a second-claw, but for now, you shall be trained as a fighter. Congratulations to you both.”
After Longstar had dismissed LakeClan from the gathering place, Nightbreeze congratulated her former denmates alongside their parents. With Owlpaw right behind her, she followed the crowd of cats as they all headed toward the fresh kill pile. Toadleap picked a crab up and a rock, lifting it and saying, “To Minnowtail and Lemontail for being the best mentors ever!” before cracking its hard shell.
Nightbreeze was happy for the two former trainees, but she merely picked up a rabbit and went to share it with Owlpaw.
“I’m happy for them,” the young trainee told her, “but I wish I could be up there, too. Are you happy for them?”
“Yeah, I guess so. They were my former denmates, it’s nice to have more cats up here with me,” she responded.
“How did you feel when you became a fighter?”
“It was pretty exciting, lots of cats were happy for me, but I always worry I’ll mess up… y’know. I’m afraid I’ll step the wrong way and everything will just come crashing down, like it did with my sister.”
She sniffled hoping that Owlpaw didn’t hear and pushed her prey away, standing up. She hadn’t eaten anything, but she no longer had an appetite. She got a fair glimpse of the crushed look in Owlpaw’s eyes and headed to the fighters’ den where she laid down with her head on her paws. She felt uncomfortable with the reeds brushing her belly.
She remembered her sister and her death, how she had been ripped to pieces by the wolf, and that she was only a trainee when it happened. It had to be killed in the end, but she still knew to this day that it was her fault. She had suggested that they go on an adventure, she never thought there would be a wolf in the area but it surprised her and she ran, leaving her sister to fend for herself. When she finally fell out cold, she didn’t sleep well, thoughts and bad feelings raged through her mind.
—————
Nightbreeze looked around, and she quickly realized that she was in the exact spot where she and her sister had been forced to confront the wolf, clearing.  She heard howls resonating in the dead-silent air and whirled around, trying to find their source.  Fear gripped her mind like she’d been caught in a trap, and she began to run. But she stopped dead in her tracks, remembering what had happened to Whitepaw.
“I won’t run again,” she told herself. “I won’t!”
She turned back around and sprinted in the direction of the howls, determined to face whatever creature was awaiting her. She reached the clearing and immediately saw a massive wolf with glowing red eyes. She glared at it with laser-light precision, spitting madly.
“You don’t scare me anymore! You’re just a nightmare!” she snarled.
But suddenly, she blinked and the wolf was gone. She whipped her head back and forth once more, and off to her right, she saw a pure white cat with their back facing her.
“H-hello?” she called out.
She took a few steps toward the cat, but it turned and revealed that it was Whitepaw, slashed up so badly that she was nearly unrecognizable, and her eyes were missing.
Nightbreeze stumbled back several steps, horrified.
“Whitepaw?!”
“You never should have left me, Nightbreeze. You never should have run, but you did. It’s your fault I’m dead. I met my fate because of YOU and your cowardice,” Whitepaw said, taking several rushed steps toward Nightbreeze.
But just as she reached the terrified black she-cat, she disappeared.
—————
Nightbreeze woke up in a panic, looking around frantically only to find that she was safe in the fighters’ den.
“It was just a dream,” she whispered to herself, looking at the ground and panting.
But when she looked up again, she found herself in a place that seemed vaguely familiar; and standing in front of her was her sister, Whitepaw.
“Whitepaw? Is it really you?” she said in shock.
“It is, Nightbreeze, but you can call me Whitefrost now,” the pure white she-cat said.
Nightbreeze was ecstatic at getting to see her sister again, but before she could say anything, the stars in her dead sister’s pelt began to grow brighter and brighter.
“My death was not your fault, and what’s to come next will not be your fault, either,” Whitefrost said. “There will be a lot of blame thrown at you, but just remember that you are not responsible.”
“What?”
Nightbreeze was very confused.
“What does that mean, Whitefrost?”
“It will all fall into place.”
Whitefrost began to fade away, and Nightbreeze stood up, moving to stop her sister from leaving again.
“Wait, Whitefrost! I have questions…”
But she blinked and both the starry, golden landscape and her sister were gone, leaving her standing, baffled in the fighters’ den.
—————
The sun had just begun to rise, though no cats had woken up yet. Nightbreeze lay down and closed her eyes, but she couldn’t sleep very well, as thoughts swirled through her mind. When she finally heard Minnowtail issuing orders to the clan, she decided to get up.
“Clearwater, Sharktooth, bring Owlpaw to the border and check the markings and make sure there are no trespassers. Nightbreeze! Good, you’re finally awake. Can you take Lemontail out to collect herbs?”
“Yeah, sure,” Nightbreeze said.
How could something be her fault if all she was doing was helping collect herbs?
“We could head to the western border,” Lemontail suggested. “We need dock, horsetail, and catmint.”
She looked back at Nightbreeze and added, “Does that sound good to you?” as a way of trying to engage her in conversation.
“Yeah, yeah…” Nightbreeze said without making eye contact.
Nightbreeze stayed silent the entire way over to the border, and became bored watching Lemontail gather herbs. After a while, the healer found Nightbreeze’s silence strange.
“Is there something troubling you?” Lemontail said sensing that something could be wrong.
“Would you mind if I go hunt?” Nightbreeze asked rather respectfully, even though her mind was still in a whirlwind and she wasn’t in the mood to be so cheery and perfect.
No, Nightbreeze thought, I shouldn’t think like that.
But still she just wanted to go be by herself.
She looked over to Lemontail, who nodded, and she trudged off into the forest that surrounded part of the lake. After a while of sitting and staring into the eyes of her reflection in the water, not even going after any of the small fish swimming in the water below her, she realized she should go check on Lemontail. As she headed to the place where she knew Lemontail would be waiting for her return, she found that the healer had, in fact, gone missing; she wasn’t in the spot she’d been ten, or fifteen minutes ago. She looked around a bit, fairly frantically, and after not seeing the healer she began calling out her name.
“Lemontail? Lemontail! LEMONTAIL!”
Then, Reedfoot, Flatstone, Toadleap and Bluewater came over, having heard her calling; and Nightbreeze was torn over whether to tell them the truth about what had happened. She decided to stretch the truth a bit and told them that she had seen a big fish in the lake and had gone to hunt it, and when she came back, Lemontail had disappeared. They believed her, and without any questions, fanned to look for the missing healer.
Bluewater and Reedfoot headed off in the direction of the camp spreading out over there and
Flatstone, Toadleap, and Nightbreeze headed toward the Forestclan border. Toadleap headed left and Flatstone went right.
Right then, she caught Lemontail’s scent. She followed it like a bloodhound, and it led her toward the river that separated LakeClan from ForestClan. After following it all the way to the river, she realized that it led right up to the border; and a waft of ForestClan scent seemed to have spread over the border. She realized that Lemontail must have wanted to catch herself a snack.
As Nightbreeze went down to the shore, she caught a whiff of death. Her brow furrowed and she became worried; she’d forgotten completely about her dream and as she trudged down the stream worriedly, it began to slowly fill her mind with dread. She didn’t think the Lemontail would have, but she felt as if she had to cross the border. As she stepped onto ForestClan territory, the scent of death grew.
That’s when she saw it, the yellow-cream pelt lying there, unbreathing and covered in blood. She stepped back and her eyes searched the trees. Were these cruel killers hiding still in the branches above?
Nightbreeze grabbed the healer’s scruff and hurriedly swam through the water, and as she set Lemontail down on the beachside, she called out to the rest of the patrol. Toadleap and Flatstone bounded through the reeds and, shocked and horrified, touched their noses to the healer’s cold, wet fur.
When Bluewater and Reedfoot appeared their eyes widened and their jaws dropped.
“What happened?” Bluewater gasped.
“I found her like this, on ForestClan’s side of the border,” Nightbreeze said.
This was all my fault, she thought to herself. I should have just stayed with Lemontail. It’ll be a miracle if Longstar doesn’t blame me.
