The Vampire Diaries: Stelena | Stefan Salvatore x Elena Gilbert (Marriage/Pregnancy AU)

It is extremely cold. Elena's felt cold before, but it still sends a jolt through her when the doctor squeezes the gel out onto her bare stomach. She takes a deep breath - partially to counteract it and partially to steady her racing heart. It's running cross-country right now.
Stefan takes her hand and locks their fingers. With just the gesture and the smile in his eyes, he manages to settle the storm inside of her. He's right there with her.
They both look at the monitor when the doctor begins to speak.
"There it is," she says with a smile. "Your baby looks completely healthy. If you look right there, you'll see its heart which is beating beautifully."
She can see it. The pulsing pixels are so strong that she thinks she can feel it in her stomach. It's impossible, she knows as a doctor herself, but that doesn't stop her from imagining it.
"Do we want to know the sex?" the doctor asks, glancing over at them.
They look at each other. They hadn't really talked about it, but Elena knows the answer. She nods and turns back to the doctor, swallowing down her nerves.
"Yeah, we do."
"Okay." The doctor turns the monitor to better let them see the scan as she says, "Then this is your little girl. Do we have any names in mind yet?"
Elena barely hears the question. She stares at the monitor. Her baby. Her daughter. The pixels clump together and blur as tears overwhelm her. But she smiles - laughs, actually. One of pure joy.
Stefan breathes deeply, pressing his smile against her knuckles. He has enough coherency to say to the doctor, "Uh, a few. Some family names. We had some picked out for a boy and a girl."
"Oh yeah, were any top of the list for a girl?"
Elena sniffles and nods shakily, blinking her vision clear again. Mostly. When she thinks about voicing the answer, her eyes well up again and she nearly breaks open like a dam.
It's okay. Stefan swoops in, squeezing her hand lightly to let her know he's got it. She can take as much time as she needs right now.
"Jenna," he says softly, flicking his eyes back to the monitor, clearing his throat. "Jenna was top of the list. We were trying to choose between Miranda and Sarah for a middle name."
Just hearing it sets Elena's emotions off again. A feeling washes over her, picturing her mom and Jenna. They would be with her right now. They should be here. Crying with her, not just tributes.
But as she looks at her baby, a smile spreads across her face and she presses her fingers to her lips. They're here. She just can't see them, but they're here.
"Jenna Salvatore," Elena whispers. Another light laugh of pure joy bubbles out of her and she turns to look properly at Stefan. "She's really real. We're having a little girl."
"We are," Stefan says happily, grinning back as he cradles her face with his other hand. He pushes up to kiss her but neither of them can contain their emotions long enough. He presses their foreheads together and whispers, as if to himself, "She's real."

so I've been really burned out these past 2 weeks and started rewatching the first tv show I've ever watched - the vampire diaries
gosh rewatching this 10 years later as an adult feels so unique? and watching it in english too? because i change my opinion on things like every 2-3 episodes

well now i can't sleep because i just made myself mad for no reason

Weird question, but what do you think of the sex scenes in the TVDU? I mean only The Vampire Diaries and The Originals 'cause I don't think Legacies has any.
What exactly do you mean, though?
If you refer to what I think as mainly - I think it fits how savage they are. They're vampires, they don't do soft most of the time and that is easy to see in their sex scenes. Stelena was the first important sex scene The Vampire Diaries had (because Damon absolutely raped Caroline so that doesn't count) and it amuses me how sweet and soft that scene is in comparison to how rough later scenes are.
Though my personal favorite is when Klaus and Camille make out in his bed the Christmas episode, it was just so sweet and the fact that Klaus trusted her enough to fall asleep beside her (literally the only girl he's actually slept beside) it's so adorable. I don't know if it counts as sex, but it's heavily implied more than once they fucked, but yeah Klaus is without a doubt an animal in bed (he started fucking Hayley in a table and they ended up in his bed, like hello, his quickie with Caroline lasted literally an entire day and Genevieve and Aurora were down bad). Elijah's sex scenes fit his character so well too because dear lord.
But I do wish they recognized certain people aren't having sex but raping persons instead, it upsets me so much how Katherine and Damon both compelled people to not be scared of them in bed and yet the fandom still believes they consented.
And Legacies actually has a few sex scenes, if I'm right. And I think Hope actually killed Landon when they did it for the first time, and I don't mean it in the ironic way...

Damon and Stefan HATES each other in the beginning. And matter of fact, we don’t actually see a healthy relationship between them till towards the end of the show! We don’t see a true bond between them until like season 6, maybe season 5. MAYBE. Elena didn’t have to do a damn thing to those boys, because the damage was already done, and that damage was called Katherine fucking Pierce. If y’all want someone to blame, BLAME THAT BITCH. She played those boys like lotto, and got away with it for the most part. The same people that hate Elena, LOVES Katherine, and I just don’t understand it.
MIND YOU. MIND YOU. Elena doesn’t fall for Damon till season 3. And by that time, Stelena is on VERY rocky ground, and I’m talking on the edge of destruction. That ship was sinking by the time she comprehended what she felt for Damon, and she ain’t act on anything till she was single. So don’t come here talking about how Elena fucked up their bond or relationship, when Stefan and Damon didn’t even HAVE ONE TO BEGIN WITH.
Some of you do not utilize context clues and comprehension skills enough, and it really shows on Beyoncé’s internet. Fix it.

TVDU Couples I Would’ve Liked To See (if my favs couldn’t happen)
BONNIE & NORA
There was something there, ok. There was potential! Personally, I don’t think Nora was always treated very well by Mary Louise. She deserved a better partner (that being said, Nora/Mary Louise had cute moments). I think it would’ve been interesting to see Bonnie explore her sexuality, and I’m pretty sure Kat Graham said she would’ve been open to that. I don’t think they would’ve been an endgame couple, but they could’ve had something!
ELENA & ELIJAH
The actors had chemistry. Idk why, because I’m pretty sure they weren’t supposed to, but they did. Daniel Gillies literally said he thought Elijah had feelings for Elena. And that kiss scene when no humanity Elena was pretending to be Katherine? Come on now.
I think they had a few similarities, and if they’d got together, it wouldn’t have been a very dramatic relationship.
That being said, I am glad Elejah didn’t happen because Elena didn’t need yet another guy chasing her. It would’ve been too much, but if Stelena and Delena couldn’t happen, I would choose these two.
KLAUS & BONNIE
The wasted potential of these two 😩 even the actors wanted it to happen.
I can just imagine, Klaus being initially interested in Bonnie because of her power, and because he wanted to get a Bennett witch on his side, so he starts trying to charm her, which Bonnie would see through. She’d deny and challenge him, and probably try to kill him a few more times, and all the while Klaus starts to get real feelings for her.
It’s honestly quite strange that Klaus didn’t try to connect with her more to win her over to his side. A powerful Bennett witch? The one that almost killed him at the sacrifice? He should’ve been much more interested, but the writers said no. 🤓
