So now can we say that the company is mistreating Jimin?
So an article was posted on Naver saying Jk is the first soloist to achieve Platinum certification in Japan and BH made a post about it.
Tumblr media
However, Jimin was the first soloist to reach RIAJ Platinum in Japan on April 12, 2023, 19 days after the release of FACE.
Tumblr media
The information from the article came directly from BH. There wasn't some sort of weird confusion in the words they provided to the media.
This is what they sent:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jk isn't the first soloist. Jimin is.
They did the same when Like Crazy was certified Platinum in the US. They gave the achievement to Jk.
Not acknowledging Jimin's achievements is mistreatment. Attributing his records to Jk or others is mistreatment.
The disrespect they show Jimin is unbelievable.
And I don't know what's worse...the company thinking they can get away with this behavior towards their artist and the fans don't matter or the fans that defend the company thinking issues like these don't matter.

Congratulations, Jimin!
Tumblr media
After a long battle of waiting for this official recognition, Like Crazy by Jimin has been certified for RIAA Platinum in the US.
He is the first k-soloist to achieve this in the last decade and the second in history.
History maker Jimin!

Very interesting...
I am currently waiting for a pie to bake and was doing a quick scroll through the hellscape that is Twitter when I saw this post:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
credit to @FJiminData
So out of all the songs that BTS and it's members have released that were eligible for RIAA certification, the last song that wasn't a JK-led project to receive certification was "My Universe", which had an eligibility date of 9/27/22. Of the 15 songs on this list that became eligible this year, only one has actually been certified - "Seven". That means that not only was "Like Crazy" not certified Platinum, but even BTS songs like "Fire","Save Me", and "Life Goes On" (which all became eligible this year for Platinum certification) weren't certified. I checked on the RIAA website and "Life Goes On" was previously certified Gold but the list is surprisingly short compared to what has been eligible. Even "Spring Day" hasn't been certified, and it became eligible in 2022.
I'm not sure exactly why this happened (anyone who has some knowledge in this area please feel free to jump in and comment) or why it has now become a priority to certify "Seven" if this is seemingly unimportant to Hybe.
It doesn't make me feel any better to see that other songs have also been neglected by the label, but it does seem to confirm that the bullshit that PJMs and other Jimin supporters have been calling attention to isn't limited to just him.
I am a firm believer that a fair and even playing field is the only way that achievements can truly be judged against each other, and there is nothing that has happened this year that leads me to believe that is what we are working with.
I'm sure ARMY/"OT7" will continue to say this doesn't matter but if they won't stand up for Jimin, shouldn't they at least stand up for the group they care so much about?

Release: March 17, 2017
Lyrics:
You know it's the place I need But you got me walking circles like a dog on a lead The doctors say I'm crazy, that I'm eight miles thick I'm like the taste of Macaroni on a seafood stick You got me switched on baby, like electric Eel And I'm tight with Axel Foley, that's just how I feel Like a grapefruit and a magic trick The prodigal son I'm walking I'm walking I'm walking I walk so quick
And it just don't mean a thing We've been waiting far too long We'll play it out again This is just my serenade
You're in love with a Psycho You're in love with a Psycho And there's nothing you can do about it I got you running all around it
You're in love with a Psycho You're in love with a Psycho And there's nothing you can do about it You're never gonna be without it
Jibber-jabber at the bargain booze Reciting Charles Bukowski, I got nothing to lose And I wait for you to follow me, to share my chips But you're walking You're walking You walk You walk so quick
Nobody's gonna take you there I stick around for the thousand yard stare I go to sleep in a duffle bag I'm never up, never down, down, down, down
You're in love with a Psycho You're in love with a Psycho And there's just nothing you can do about it I got you running all around it
You're in love with a Psycho You're in love with a Psycho And there's nothing you can do about it You never gonna be without it
Maybe this will be the fine solution Maybe this way, we'll find a solution But we're far too lost, we gotta find love
You're in love with a Psycho You're in love with a Psycho And there's nothing you can do about it I got you running all around it
You're in love with a Psycho Tu amor es muy loco And there's nothing you can do about You're never gonna be without it
Songwriter: Sergio Pizzorno
SongFacts:
This is a song by English alternative rock band Kasabian. It was released on 17 March 2017 as the first single from their sixth studio album, 'For Crying Out Loud' (2017). It peaked at No. 62 on the UK Singles Chart in 2017, the first time a lead single from a Kasabian album failed to reach the top 40 in the country. It was certified platinum by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI) for chart sales exceeding 600,000 units in the UK in August 2022. It also won "Best Song of 2017" at the Q Awards.
The music video was heavily criticised in the UK media by mental health advocates and charities for reinforcing stereotypes around mental illness, and were branded by the director of the Time to Change mental health charity as "unhelpful, damaging, and disappointing".
The song received its first radio airplay on 17 March 2017, having leaked the day before. The song was also released on 17 March 2017 as a digital download, CD single, and 10" vinyl and made available on most streaming services. The single reached number 62 in the UK Singles Chart spending 5 weeks on the top 100 and reached number 24 on the Scottish Singles Chart.
Kasabian guitarist and songwriter Serge Pizzorno explained to The Independent, "The story of that song is a man or a woman who has visions of being the prodigal son, thinking he's friends with Axel Foley… having an argument outside an off-licence and reciting Bukowski to win back the person they love.
The song received mixed to positive reviews from critics upon release. Will Hankey from The Edge gave the song 3/5 stars, stating that the track "starts very well, opening with a Krautrock-like surge forward that soon anchors into Kasabian's familiar territory of live hip-hop beats [but] while this is amiable and still an enjoyable listen, the song still never really goes anywhere"
The music video for the single was released on 30 March 2017 and was directed by W.I.Z. It features frequent Kasabian collaborator Noel Fielding and actor Stephen Graham, as well as members of Kasabian and Bhangra dance group Four by Four. They all play inmates of the fictional West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum, a nod to the title of the band's third album.

Love You Like a Love Song
Written By: Adam Schmalholz, Antonia Armato & Tim James
Artist: Selena Gomez & The Scene
Released: 2011
“Love You Like a Love Song” was released as the second single from When the Sun Goes Down. It was Selena Gomez & the Scene’s most successful single in the United States, lasting the longest on the Billboard Hot 100 of any of the band’s singles and eventually being certified double-platinum by the RIAA. In 2011, Gomez revealed the inspiration behind the song to E! News: “This song is fun and I wanted it to be really high fashion and different and I think we have accomplished that. It’s basically talking about how crazy you are about someone whenever it’s the beginning. It’s the honeymoon stage if you will.”
[Verse 1] It's been said and done Every beautiful thought's been already sung And I guess right now, here's another one So your melody will play on and on with the best of 'em You are beautiful Like a dream come alive, incredible A centerfold miracle, lyrical You saved my life again [Pre-Chorus] And I want you to know, baby [Chorus] I, I love you like a love song, baby I, I love you like a love song, baby I, I love you like a love song, baby And I keep hitting repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat (Oh) I, I love you like a love song, baby (Oh) I, I love you like a love song, baby (Oh) I, I love you like a love song, baby (Oh) And I keep hitting repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat [Verse 2] Constantly Boy, you play through my mind like a symphony There's no way to describe what you do to me You just do to me what you do And it feels like I've been rescued I've been set free I am hypnotized by your destiny You are magical, lyrical, beautiful, you are [Pre-Chorus] And I want you to know, baby [Chorus] I, I love you like a love song, baby I, I love you like a love song, baby I, I love you like a love song, baby And I keep hitting repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat (Oh) I, I love you like a love song, baby I, I love you like a love song, baby I, I love you like a love song, baby (I love you) (I love you, like a love song) And I keep hitting repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat [Bridge] No one compares You stand alone to every record I own Music to my heart, that's what you are A song that goes on and on [Chorus] I, I love you like a love song, baby (Oh-oh-oh) I, I love you like a love song, baby (I love you) I, I love you like a love song, baby (I love you) And I keep hitting repeat-peat-peat-peat-peat-peat (Like a love song, like a love song) I, I love you like a love song, baby (I love ya) I, I love you like a love song, baby (I love ya) I, I love you like a love song, baby (I love you) I love you like a love song

I Don't Want to Miss a Thing
Written By: Diane Warren
Artist: Aerosmith
Released: 1998
“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” was Aerosmith’s first number one song. It was featured in the movie Armageddon, which starred Steven Tyler’s daughter, Liv Tyler. U2 was originally asked to perform this song for the movie—the idea for Aerosmith performing it only came after Liv was cast. Aerosmith’s guitarist Joe Perry explained to Classic Rock magazine in 2002: “At the time, we just didn’t have the time to settle down and do it. We were out on the road, so they brought us in to see the movie and said ‘here’s the song, this is where it fits into the movie, you can do it if you want.’ So we were in the studio within the next three days cutting it. And yeah, we do wish that we’d had a little more time, so that we could have had a shot at writing it, but it was perfect timing. The song was great, people loved it, and I don’t think people care that much who wrote it.” Spinner claims that songwriter Diane Warren intended the song to be for Celine Dion.
[Verse 1] I could stay awake just to hear you breathin' Watch you smile while you are sleeping While you're far away and dreaming I could spend my life in this sweet surrender I could stay lost in this moment forever Where every moment spent with you is a moment I treasure [Chorus] Don't wanna close my eyes I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing 'Cause even when I dream of you (Even when I dream) The sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing [Verse 2] Lying close to you, feeling your heart beating And I'm wondering what you're dreaming Wonderin' if it's me you're seeing Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together And I just wanna stay with you In this moment forever Forever and ever [Chorus] I don't wanna close my eyes I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing 'Cause even when I dream of you (Even when I dream) The sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing [Bridge] I don't wanna miss one smile I don't wanna miss one kiss Well, I just wanna be with you Right here with you, just like this I just wanna hold you close I feel your heart so close to mine And just stay here in this moment For all the rest of time Yeah (Yeah) Yeah (Yeah) Yeah! [Chorus] Don't wanna close my eyes Don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing 'Cause even when I dream of you (Even when I dream) The sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing [Chorus] I don't wanna close my eyes I don't wanna fall asleep 'Cause I'd miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing 'Cause even when I dream of you The sweetest dream would never do I'd still miss you, babe And I don't wanna miss a thing [Outro] Don't wanna close my eyes I don't wanna fall asleep, yeah I don't wanna miss a thing

I can do incredible things with my hands.
Not so long ago, that felt embarrassing to say.
But I don't need to feel shame for realizing my own value. Whatever life experiences trained me to be so self hating are fading into the distance like a speed limit sign on a highway.
Crazy I want from someone who did nothing and waited to die to a man who seizes life. A man who can heal things with his hands. A man who is increasingly in control of his emotions. A man who is living to experience love.
And despite the bullshit lies people are broadcasting on blast, about my trans community, I am going to remain stalwart.
They cannot begin to comprehend how being transgender can save a life, and it is not worth arguing with them. I see with clarity where those bigots do not because I am not afraid.
An anxious brain is not a thinking brain, and transphobes have their cortex's fully shut off from all the horror stories they are being force fed.
I wouldn't be here today unless I transitioned. Fact. And without me, hundreds of people would've had access to habitable apartments. You would have one less universally certified EPA dude who really cares about not letting that gas cause more climate damage. I am blue collar as fuck, son. And it's all because I've grown into confidence as I felt more comfortable being and knowing me.
Being transgender is about self actuation and love. Become invested in your future, give yourself the permission to be you.
Because fuck it no one should decide what your life should be. There is only one of those , enjoy it as much as you can. You are all precious as fuck god damnit. More valuable than platinum.
That's what being trans is.

Lacy J. Dalton Releases Inspirational Song, “Summerland”
Tumblr media
Singer-songwriter and outlaw original, Lacy J. Dalton, has finally recorded one of her most personal and poignant songs, “Summerland,” which is available today on all major streaming services in association with StarVista Music. Originally written for Dalton’s mother to bring her comfort as she was dying, the track carries an emotional and inspirational message, brimming with her trademark grit and a stirring mandolin solo. Although Lacy has performed the song for more than 17 years, she has never released it until now. M Music & Musicians Magazine premiered the song earlier today, and fans can now stream “Summerland” HERE. “I wrote this song for my mother when she was dying so she wouldn’t be afraid,” Lacy reveals, “and I got to sing it to her before she passed and again at her memorial. Since then it has helped a number of people. Most recently we had a friend who was passing and she listened to it every day until she died, and it gave her comfort.” Dalton signed with CBS Records in 1979 as an outlaw country artist. She hit the Top 20 that year with “Crazy Blue Eyes” and amassed a total of 16 Top 20 songs. More recently, she released the single “Devil By A Different Name,” addressing the many issues going on in the world and reminding us that we aren’t all that different. Lacy J. Dalton recently celebrated the 40th Anniversary of her hit signature single “16th Avenue.” Written by Thom Schuyler (Dalton, Kenny Rogers, Michael Martin Murphy), the lyrics, “God bless the boys who make the noise on 16th Avenue,” gave musical dreamers from around the world a true understanding of the music industry by showing them the significance of Nashville’s Music Row and that is where dreams could come true. Although things are different today, Lacy J. Dalton’s “16th Avenue” continues to offer hope to every songwriter or entertainer who has a dream of being heard and a place to go to chase it! Dalton has received several notable awards over the years including a certified Platinum record as the only female duet on Willie Nelson’s album, ‘Half Nelson.’ She was also awarded the highest award from the boards of Strictly Country Magazine and the Spirit Awards (one of only 4 times in 25 years the award was given out) for her independent CD ‘Last Wild Place Anthology.’ Most recently she received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Josie Awards – the largest independent music awards show in the country. Lacy J. Dalton’s Upcoming Tour Dates: FEB 08 – Sun City Lincoln Hills / Lincoln, Calif. FEB 10 – El Campanil Theater / Antioch, Calif. FEB 11 – Private Show / Walnut Creek, Calif FEB 16 – Piper’s Opera House / Virginia City, Nev. APR 06 – Salinas Rodeo / Salinas, Calif. JUL 05 – Mammoth Lakes, Calif. SEP 21 – Starbright Theater / Las Vegas, Nev. SEP 23 – CPAC Community Performance & Art Center / Green Valley, Ariz. SEP 24 – Elgin Community Club / Elgin, Ariz. About Lacy J. Dalton: First hitting the Country Top-20 in 1979 with “Crazy Blue Eyes,” Dalton was one of the most successful female vocalists of the format during the 80s with the CMA-nominated anthem “16th Avenue,” as well as hits like “Takin’ It Easy,” “Everybody Makes Mistakes,” “Hillbilly Girl With The Blues,” and “Black Coffee.” During her career, she has collaborated with such Country Music Hall of Fame members as Bobby Bare, Glen Campbell, Willie Nelson, and George Jones. She toured with outlaws like Hank Williams Jr. at a time when it was very unusual for a woman to do so. She also toured for a long period of time with Willie Nelson and was the only female on his ‘Half Nelson’ album, which also included duets with Ray Charles, Merle Haggard, Carlos Santana, and Neil Young. Her most recent recorded work is the four-song EP ‘Scarecrow’ which is now available on all streaming music sites, and her single, “Devil By A Different Name.” In November, her very first studio recording, “The Jill Croston Album,” was made available for streaming for the first time since it was originally released in 1978. ✨These 2 weeks in Jimin news✨
Where has time gone? 😭
•Bb end of year charts were released and Jimin is Bb history maker:
Tumblr media
An album that he wanted to give us for free achieved all this. Things feel different when they come from the heart.
•Spotify wrapped...wrapped up too and showed us that Jimin is still a fan favorite. How many of us had our top artists as Jimin and some of the following: BTS, Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, Taeyang, or Jvke? Who would have thought?!
We also found out that:
-Jimin is the most consumed artist in South Korea
-Like Crazy is in the top 50 most streamed songs on Spotify.
-Antis and locals still stream Like Crazy
-If you are looking into a streaming service, consider Tidal.
•This picture of Jimin I found in this thread:
Tumblr media
•We were flying high until BH announced the enlistment process of Jimin, Jk, Nam, and Tae. It's coming too soon. But Jimin will have Jk and they will be there for each other...and Jin!
•Jimin and Jk traveled to Japan to record more of their traveling show.
Tumblr media
During this trip, Jimin started 3 global trends:
-Using Dior ☆'s as bag charms
-Standing next to a Dior Jimin ad and posing
- Eating at CoCo's in Jiminesque fashion
Tumblr media Tumblr media
•PTD content was released and we got lots of Jimin.
He is always so thankful to the fans!
You can watch it here but shhh!
•Jimin's btb!
youtube
•Jimin won Best Male Artist at MAMA. More awards should have been his. Like Best Dancer, Album of the Year, Song of the Year...you get it...
The people at the Tokyo Dome are Jimin lovers too because:
Tumblr media
Read through the replies! So many people were excited and Tetris shared that excitement with us!
And after BTS was awarded the Bonsang, Jimin came to weverse to thank fans for their support to the group:
Tumblr media
•Jimin lost the AAA award, Millions Top 10, and Bonsang because army and karmy didn't vote for him due to Jimin antis running fanbases and people following them. But we will continue supporting him even more so he can have the recognition he deserves.
•Like Crazy was "officially" certified RIAA Platinum in the US. Actually, it reached this status in August and it is one of two songs by a Ksoloist to achieve this.
He is also the first and only Asian solo artist in history to achieve:
🇨🇦 Music Canada Gold Certification
🇯🇵 RIAJ Platinum Certification
🇺🇸 RIAA Platinum Certification
🇺🇸 Hot 100 #1
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cr.
•This clip of one of my favorite BTS songs, No More Dream, where it's focused on Jimin's perfect and precise dancing.
•Jimin posting on weverse for Jin's birthday. He misses his hyung.
Tumblr media
•Jimin being a puppykitty.
•Don't forget this magazine is coming soon...
instagram
We are in December. Where is our Jimin!?
•This beautiful Jimin
Tumblr media
And that's it for now. Hopefully we get some more Jimin soon so our news can be even better!

Hana's thoughts...
"I wasn't open to the idea of releasing my own album, it kinda came to me. One of the producers in my company kinda reigned me in to make my own album, since him and the members have all told me that I have the potential. In a way, it felt like peer pressure *awkward laughs.* But I do have to say, working on this album gave me the freedom to express my struggles as the only female member in the group along with the depression that comes along with fame and fortune, so I put all that into this album. I portray two different people. Not real people of course. But, I act in a way like 'the crazy' is my idol life, and the struggles that come with it. And, 'the art' is my life outside of fame and stardom. Oh, before I leave this comment here, there is song that talks about love. That, I forgot to mention, is featured in my album too. *smiles*. Inspiration came to me after J-Hope's 'Jack In The Box' theme, and wanted to portray something like that, but of course, add my own style to it. I also got the inspiration from Suga, too. Since they are like brothers to me, they inspired me to make an incredible album like this. With producing, it wasn't that hard. I had lots of help from the other members and the producers within HYBE. Agust D <SUGA> helped produce a good majority of the album -- and also is featured in one of my songs. We were in the studio together for the vast majority of most nights putting this album together as it kinda helped me in ways I can't explain. Nevertheless, I'm very grateful for Yoongi, and everyone else who was chimed in to make this album as well as the artists featured."

I'm tellin' y'all, it's a sabotage
I have been trying to figure out how to talk about the ongoing mistreatment/sabotage/fuckery that has been happening to Jimin this year and there is so much to cover that kept hitting a wall when I tried to write how I feel about it all.
This is one of the main reasons that I decided to create this blog, beyond just wanting to scream into the void about how amazing I think he is. I have been lurking on Twitter and Tumblr for long enough to see how few people have chosen to continually speak out about how Jimin has been treated. This is especially true of "OT7" accounts (and honestly who is even surprised at this point about that), but I've also seen it happen in accounts where I thought they would have cared more about Jimin (this mostly applies to shipping accounts where Jimin is supposed to be half of the duo they are supporting).
All of this has lead me to the point where I can't in good conscience support anyone who doesn't continue to bring these issues up or recognize the blatant unfairness that continues to happen.
In what is just the latest example, Jimin's "Like Crazy" reached the milestone of selling over 1,000,000 units in the U.S. back in August. He was the first K-Soloist to achieve this in 2023 and the fastest to do so.

This means that he would have met the requirements to go platinum, a great achievement for any artist. Unfortunately, getting certified involves the record label and clearly they haven't made it a priority to certify Jimin's achievement.
This alone is a problem, but the fact that Jungkook has now been certified platinum for "Seven (feat. Latto)" shows that the label clearly knows that this is something important and understands how to make this happen for their artists.
This tweet by @jiminiemelody really sums up my feelings:
Imagine being the first to achieve this impressive milestone 3 months ago and entitled to be the first Korean solo artist to get RIAA platinum certification but the label intentionally neglected and giving the record to their chosen one??? What would so-called armys say? Jimin… pic.twitter.com/fnQrLwIpKr

How anyone can not see how this is a problem is beyond me, but then I remember that ARMY/"OT7" never want to acknowledge any real issues that are happening with BTS or within the fandom, especially when it comes to Jimin.
I'm not naive enough to think that anything I say on this blog is going to change anyone's opinion who doesn't already agree with me or magically make Hybe (or whoever it is that has a vendetta against Jimin) stop their bullshit. But I do think it's important to call it out when we see mistreatment happening, regardless of how many people want to ignore it.
I know that Jimin Karma will come back to bite them all in the end, because while I don't have faith in much, I do have faith in him.
