"With its twin solid rocket boosters and three main engines churning at seven million pounds of thrust, the Space Shuttle Atlantis thunders skyward from Launch Pad 39A. Liftoff of Mission STS-45 occurred at 8:13:40 a.m. EST, March 24, 1992. On board for the 46th Shuttle flight are a crew of seven and the Atmospheric Laboratory for Applications and Science-1 (ATLAS-1). The launch is the second in 1992 for the Shuttle program and Atlantis' 11th flight."
discovery!!! hi!! (unrelated but i just want to say you have a BADASS name) hope your day is going swell <(^-^)>
Sunlit sea☀️ - What nicknames or terms of endearment does your f/o use for you, and which are your favorites?
the self-proclaimed MASTER CHEF papyrus likes using food-related nicknames!!! cutiepie, honeybun, sweetcakes... my favourite is snickerdoodle because i am always snickering and laughing so it's kind of perfect for me hahaha
Fishies 🐠 - What is something your f/o has done for you that nobody else has?
this is absolutely not something nobody else has done for me (i have some very sweet friends!!!) but just... generally? be patient and understanding with me. i have a hard time with alot of things that might not be so hard for everyone else and some things are very difficult for me to process because i'm a bit "slower" than most people. papyrus doesn't mind because he's the exact same!! he knows what it's like! having that inherent mutual understanding of eachother is just really nice :)
Feathers 🦜 - What is something you look forward to in you and your f/o's relationship, whether big or small?
just... having such an unapologetically kind boyfriend. no matter how hard life is he's always so positive... he always look on the bright side of things... i could learn a thing or two from him!!! he is just the sweetest ray of sunshine i am going to go give my papyrus plushie a hug and a kis now mwah

I think it's great that Mr. Ping was expected to lose but ended up getting the biggest win of round 1. Way to go goose dad! 👍
fun fact, i was actually referencing vulture when i said "bird dad" and was too exhausted to go back and fix it before it got posted, and you can't edit poll posts once they're up...... big L for me.
For the first time since 2019, #SpaceX launched their heavy-lift rocket, the Falcon Heavy, Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at 9:41 am (EDT), sending the USSF-44 payload to orbit. The rocket launched from LC-39A at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
Approximately 8-minutes after launch, two of the three cores returned to Landing Zones 1 and 2 at nearby Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. This was the view captured with a GoPro camera on a timer, set there the day before. Big thanks to the Space media and recovery teams for making this shot possible, and to the Space Launch Delta team for helping staff this event.
thanks to @lc-39a i have been inundated with thoughts of hux in Formal Attire and it is absolutely out for my BLOOD!!!!!!!
like maybe he does deserve to be my prince. my king, even. idk what it is with me and royal gingers but i can't stop it
he would have a uniform fit to be seen alongside my elaborate dress, complete with EPAULETTES (!!!!!!) and a CAPE (!!!!!!) and it would probably be like a deep, deep red. still within the color scheme, but a break from the all black fit.
it would be AWESOME and SEXY and yes i think we should be able to be terrible and hot 🥰
The launch of supply Dragon CRS28/SpX28 will take place at 16:47 BST from LC-39A today (5 Jun) onboard the 237th Falcon 9 launch. The capsule, C208, is making it's fourth flight and the first stage, B1077, it's sixth flight. The booster will land onboard the landing ship Marmac 302 'A Shortfall of Gravitas' in the Atlantic, this will be the 198th Falcon 9 first stage landing
As well as some 7,000 lbs of supplies and experiments the Dragon will also carry the third set of iROSA solar arrays for the station, to augment the existing Solar Array Wings (SAW) which have become degraded over the years. These will be mounted at the base of two of the existing arrays by astronauts during spacewalks this Friday (9 Jun) and 15 June, once the SSRMS station arm has unloaded them from the Dragon external payload bay or trunk.
Coverage from 16:15 BST on NASA TV will launch scheduled for 16:47 BST.
