Train. 7
Story: 8
Acting: 10
Chemistry: 7
Comparable to: welcome 2 life (kdrama); Someday or One Day (taiwanese drama); Tunnel (kdrama)
This will definitely be a mixed bag for a lot of fans. You’re either going to love it or hate it. Yoon Shi Yoon puts on another outstanding performance, honestly I really have yet to watch a drama of his that he didn’t act well in. The storyline outline for this drama was really exciting and I thought going in this would be a stellar knockout drama especially from all the press releases and trailers. Unfortunately it got bogged down with a ho hum execution and a bland romance which shouldn’t of been written in. It’s still a good drama despite those set backs, you can still enjoy it for what it is.

DRAMA REVIEW | Perfect Marriage Revenge (2023)
Tumblr media
There’s an argument to be made about how Perfect Marriage Revenge had a perfect execution because it was a 12 episodes long drama and didn’t waste time for unnecessary conflicts. Everything took its right time and was resolved in a cohesive way with the characters development.
Both leads were compelling and had amazing chemistry, but the secondary characters were equally interesting to watch. All the performances outstanding and you can tell the actors are enjoying themselves in their respective roles.
On a story about a woman looking for revenge against her own family, this kdrama had a perfect balance between makjang and romcom. Making it an easy and fun watch. I highly recommend it!

Bloodhounds
Tumblr media
TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2023
Bloodhounds (2023, South Korea)
Director & Writer: Kim Joo Hwan (based on the webtoon by Jeong Chan)
Mini-review:
I'm gonna be honest: I'm not usually a big fan of these type of movies/shows and I only started this one because of the wonderful Woo Do Hwan. However, color me surprised, cause I ended up loving Bloodhounds. Sure, this story has been told a million times before, but the bromance, the incredibly lovable characters (and incredibly hateful villains!) and the showstopping action scenes take this show to the next level. I'm telling you, it's a really enjoyable experience.
On top of that, the cast absolutely delivers. The show is filled with knockout (pun intended) performances, there's not a single weak link. You can tell just how hard these actors worked to prepare for all the fights and action sequences. Oh, and I can't leave out Kim Joo Hwan's propulsive directing, which left me breathless in several episodes. I do think the final scene cut off way too suddenly, and the sort-of-time-jump in episode 7 is also rather awkward, but I guess it's understandable, considering all the trouble the show went through during post-production. Anyway, Bloodhounds took me by surprise, and I think most people who like action movies/shows focused on hand-to-hand combat will love this.

Sunny (2011) Dir. Kang Hyung Chul
We'll meet again. If you ignore us because your life is too good, we'll go and punish you. If you hide because your life sucks, we'll go and make it better. I don't know who will die first among us, but until that day... No, even beyond that day... We, Sunny, will never break up.
