Have you been hibernating now that the harsh winter weather is here? Recipe For Change is a great reason to leave the comfort of your home to enjoy culinary dishes from some of Toronto’s top chefs. The annual event raises money for food literacy programs in Toronto schools and the community. FoodShare Toronto’s top fundraising event, Recipe For Change takes place on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at the St. Lawrence Market Temporary North Market. You’ll get a chance to try sweet and savoury dishes in a wide variety of cuisines from 30 chefs, brewers and wine merchants. Presented by Tangerine Bank, the foodie event highlights FoodShare Toronto’s important work in schools and communities.

School Grown – A schoolyard farming project where students grow fruits and vegetables on school rooftops and lawns, then learn to prepare healthy lunches. Some of their produce ends up in the schools’ salad bars.
Mobile Good Food Markets – This travelling community bus sells produce at cheaper than average prices and travels to neighbourhoods where there are no nearby grocery stores.
Power Soups – Prepared by the FoodShare kitchen team, nutritious Power Soups are delivered to community organizations, who feed the homeless and underhoused.
Field to Table Catering – Order from FoodShare’s Field to Table Catering for your next party. All proceeds go back to FoodShare Toronto’s Good Food Program.
The Sunshine Garden – CAMH in- and out-patients grow produce, composte waste, cook, preserve and sell their harvest from CAMH’s Sunshine Garden at the Garden Market.
