Chinook salmon!
Also known as a king salmon. It is the biggest of the Pacific salmon, able to reach such a staggering size as 150 cm long and 57 kg heavy (58 inches, 126 lbs)! Individuals will typically grow to be around 60 to 90 cm long (24 to 36 inches), however.

Day 24 of Fishuary!
Prompt: Fish Dinner
—
Decided to go a different direction with this one! Alaskan salmon, particularly chinook (oncorhynchus tshawytscha), are very commonly consumed fish worldwide. They have many names!
They’ve been introduced to the Great Lakes after proving effective in controlling the invasive population of alewife in Huron and Michigan. These guys can get over a hundred pounds. A HUNDRED POUNDS.
