This is Glaucus Atlantis also known as the Blue Sea Dragon. It's a type of nudibranch or sea slug! These creature can be found in tropical/subtropical climates world wide and are pelagic, meaning they float upside down by using the surface tension to stay afloat. To do so, they swallow and store air bubbles in a gas-filled sac and are carried along by the wind and currents.
Sea dragons feed on other pelagic critters including the venomous Portuguese Man 'O War, known for its painful sting. Glaucus recycles the "stinging cells" or nematocysts from it's food and stores them in its own tissues as a defense mechanism. Thus, handling this adorable little guy would result in a powerful sting much like one caused by the Man 'O War !

Mola Mola
Tumblr media
Mola Mola or more commonly known as the ocean sunfish is one of the largest bony fish. They are around 1.8 metres long and can weigh 1,000 kilograms. But they can lay millions of tiny babies smaller than your fingertip!
They do not have a tail. Instead they drift the sea use their large dorsal and anal fins to move. They also have a beak like a bird.
They are called sunfish because they are known to iften go sun bathing at the surface of the water (although in other languages they are known as 'moonfish' because they look like the moon). They may do this because 1) they often have parasites so they will lay on the surface of the water for the birds to peck them off and 2) because they often go deep down into the cold sea to get their food and will sunbathe to warm themselves up again.
These big things are my favourite fish i love them so m uch omg I want an autograph
Please listen to these Sunfish songs they are lovley:
Louie Zong - mola mola
YonKaGor - Goodmorning Mr Sunfish

In order to digest a fish whole, a bird requires a two-chambered stomach. The first chamber secretes acid, which helps break down bones and scales. The second (gizzard) grinds up pieces of food into much smaller pieces.

Some fish, like this copper and butterfly fish, have a spot on their back called an Ocelli. these spots have many different advantages, like helping blend into its environment, or confusing a predator by making it think the fish is larger or its head is in a different spot. Some fish even have more then one Ocelli!

Best Pet Fish as a Beginner-Pets devotee
When it comes to choosing a pet fish for beginners, there are several species that are known to be hardy, low-maintenance, and adaptable to different aquarium conditions. Here are some of the best options:
Tumblr media
Betta Fish (Siamese Fighting Fish): Betta fish are popular due to their vibrant colors and long, flowing fins. They are relatively easy to care for and can be kept in smaller tanks. However, it's important to keep them individually as they are aggressive toward other bettas. It is one of the best fish for pets
Goldfish: Goldfish are classic beginner fish and are available in various colors and shapes. They require a larger tank with good filtration and appreciate colder water temperatures. Keep in mind that goldfish produce a significant amount of waste, so regular maintenance is necessary.
Platies: Platies are small, peaceful fish that come in a variety of colors. They are easy to care for, adapt well to different water conditions, and can be kept in community tanks. They are also prolific breeders, so be prepared for potential fry.
Swordtails: Swordtails are similar to platies and are known for their elongated lower fins. They are relatively hardy and adaptable, making them suitable for beginners. Like platies, they are livebearers, which means they give birth to live young.
Corydoras Catfish: Corydoras catfish are bottom-dwelling fish that are great for keeping the aquarium clean. They are social and should be kept in groups of at least six. Corydoras catfish are hardy and can tolerate a wide range of water conditions.
Remember, regardless of the species you choose, it's important to research their specific care requirements, provide them with a suitable environment, and maintain a healthy and clean aquarium. Regular feeding, water changes, and monitoring of water parameters are essential for the well-being of your fish.

Whitetip reef shark!
Tumblr media
Unlike other requiem sharks, this species can pump water over its gills without needing to ram ventilate, which means it can stop moving and have a rest! These sharks are very slender and hunt at night by squeezing themselves into tight caves in their coral reef habitat.
