I don't care about myself, I don't care what happens to me, I never did really. I do believe in the evil in human nature, this is a wicked wicked world, and in a wicked world wicked people are born. I'm not gonna blame society, my race or people or anything. It is up to the individual like myself to keep on knocking on whatever door they want to get into. As far as Satan is concerned, I believe in a malevolent being, his description alludes me, but I have felt forces that are evil.
Serial killer Richard Ramirez in a tv interview for inside edition in 1993, he was on death row at the time.

also yeah the plagiarism is horrific in its extent and the damage it did to fellow queer creators but honestly one of the biggest indicators of james somerton's fuck-ass stupidity and almost fucking admirable refusal to do his own research was him saying that serial killer fangirls only like jeffrey dahmer because he didn't kill women

When Richard Ramirez, who later went on to become the infamous “Night Stalker”, was just 12-years-old, he began to spend the majority of his time with his older cousin, Miguel “Mike”, a Green Beret who had recently returned home from duty in Vietnam. They would often smoke weed together in Mike’s apartment and Mike would share his disturbing war stories, and to corroborate these stories, he would show the impressionable Richard graphic images. Some of the black and white Polaroids showed Vietnamese women being raped by the soldiers. Others would show the decapitated heads of the same women. Later, Ramirez would say that these images aroused him.
The stories and images would serve as the driving force to convert Ramirez in the wrong direction in life. On 4 May, 1974, Ramirez and Mike were at Mike’s apartment when his wife, Jessie, came home and began to argue about Mike being unemployed. Mike responded by shooting his wife dead in front of the young and impressionable Ramirez. Mike sent him home and told him to remain quiet, which he did. Mike was found not guilty by reason of insanity. Following the apprehension of Mike, Ramirez and his parents went to Mike’s apartment to retrieve some property. Ramirez would later recall:
“That day I went back to the apartment, it was like some kind of mythical experience. It was all quiet and still and hot in there. You could smell the blood.”
