a slightly tweaked version of kenji watanabe's original wizardmon x art to make it easier to read color-wise, as reference for my future endeavors of drawing/coloring this lovely fella. (i struggled a bit to read his colors in the past, but he got an official card recently that is by the same artist where they're much clearer- this is adjusted to reflect what is shown in the card)

i also added the symbols on his cape, which are the eneruge (energy, fire/lightning), earthlin (earth), baluluna (wind), and aquary (water) clan symbols from the realm of witchelny (magical witches)

i think this makes it much clearer that the gloves were meant to be black(in the original art i'm guessing the blue was meant to be glow from his magic, tho it's the wrong color blue for that), and the hat and vest are much more clearly blue instead of being inbetween blue and black in the original art.

below are the original art that i struggled with before, and a concept sketch (it's obvious in the sketch that the hat is black, not blue, but also the cape changed significantly between sketch and final so it really shouldn't be used as a reference) don't get me wrong, i LOVE the original art, including the sick yellow/red lighting on the edge of his cape (which i removed in my edit since it's not in the card)- it can just be a bit tricky to tell what's lighting and what's the object's actual base color, which if you're trying to draw the character yourself, is less than ideal.

Bandai Announces Digimon Kenji Watanabe Edition Digimon V-Pet at 2023 DIGIMON CON

DIGIMON CON sure had a lot of surprises in store, and that even included new Digimon virtual pets! The new Digimon Kenji Watanabe edition called version MetalGreymon and version Numemon are designed by Kenji Wantanbe. Kenji is the chief designer responsible for designing a variety of Digimon.

His newest art is graffiti styling featuring moments of like sprite assets, the Diigimon logo, and more! The design was made so that it moves between all 6 sizes as one piece of art, how cool is that?

UV printing was used to cure the art onto the plastic shells, and the back of the LCD panel features the DIGIMON CON logo. Programming on both is identical to the US Digimon Original virtual pet re-release, rather than the Japanese programming, indicating that this device will be fully in English. MetalGreymon uses the programming from the Brown version of the Digimon, and Numemon uses the programming from the Gray version of Digimon.

Preorders are already available at Premium Bandai Japan for 5,500 yen and they are set to close on March 13th, 2023. These Digimon virtual pets will ship in July 2023. The appeal of these two are the designs featured on the shells, and you know they will be a collector’s item, they’re just gorgeous!

SUNEOHAIR

is a Japanese musician, actor, and music producer.

His real name is Kenji Watanabe.

His short name is "SUNEO".

One-man project by Kenji Watanabe.

In the fourth grade of elementary school, his parents bought him a Casiotone keyboard, which awakened his interest in music.

In his second year of junior high school, he bought an electric guitar with his New Year's gift. He expanded his musical activities by forming a guitar unit.

In high school, he joined the soccer club, but when he learned of the existence of a light music club, he immediately joined.

Moved to Tokyo when he entered university, and became interested in theater in his junior year. After graduating from college, he continued to work with various theater companies, but in 1997, he quit the theater and resumed his music career.

In 1998, he sent a demo tape to cafe au label and started his music career in earnest. In August of the same year, he became a supporting member of Sugarfields, playing bass guitar.

In January 1999, he played his first live concert. In February of the same year, he made his independent debut with "SUN!NEO!AIR".

In May 2002, he made his major label debut with the single "Ivory" from Epic Records Japan. In October of the same year, his first major album "Sunestyle" was released.

March 16, 2018-, published his first newly written novel "Kanashimi".

In 2022, he starred in the movie "Nikko Monogatari".
