Katnappé

Ashley had been a bored young woman who was attending a party at the Spicer household when she happened upon the basement laboratory of self-proclaimed evil genius, Jack Spicer. Intrigued over the prospect of all the neat things she could obtain through super villainy, Ashley decided to join Jack on his next caper. She donned a cat-themed costume of her own making and renamed herself ‘Katnappé.’

Unsurprisingly, Katnappé proved a far more competent villain compared to Jack Spicer and she gave the Xiaolin Monks quite a run for their money. Fortunately, Katnappé was not at all interested in world conquest, she only wanted nice things and live a luxurious lifestyle. She obtained the Golden Tiger Claws and used The Shen Gong Wu to become a successful criminal.

As her name suggests, Katnappé is obsessed with cats, using them both as her inspiration and as her minions. Her primary goal is to live in the lap of luxury along with her cats.

Actress Jennifer Hale provided the voice for the villainess. Katnappé first appeared in the third episode of Xiaolin Showdown, airing on November 15th, 2003.

Some outfit exploration of Katnappé-

Look I am as much of a fan of the catwoman style as much as anyone else. But I think Ashley has the rights to have a style a bit more funny.

I still need to do a bit more stuff about her (because she has some interesting gadgets I want to check) but it would be easier if I can pick one of the three outfits I worked on so I would very much appreciate if you guys tell me which one you like more.

"Uh, excuse me!"

Kimiko opened one eye, jolted from the rare moment of total bliss and relaxation she'd been experiencing. She'd just finished a really nice mud wrap treatment followed by a long session in the sauna, and was lying on a lounge chair in the solarium, just vibing and enjoying the moment. At least she had been. "Can I help you?" she asked the woman looming over her, also dressed in a spa robe. She looked to be a few years older than Kimiko, maybe early-mid twenties. A few strands of blonde hair had escaped the towel wrapped around her head. "Uh, yeah," the woman replied snappily. "You're in my spot!" Oh, boy. This spa catered to an elite and wealthy clientele, which unfortunately meant dealing with some of the most obnoxious and entitled snobs on the planet. Kimiko groaned internally. Externally, she did her best to keep her cool. "This is the solarium," she said. "It's a public area, and there's no assigned spots."

"For you, maybe," the woman sniffed. And Kimiko knew her next line before she opened her mouth and actually said, "Don't you have any idea who I am?"

"Nope," Kimiko said. "And if you had any idea who I am, we wouldn't be having this conversation."

"Oh, you think you're hot shit, huh?" the other woman sneered. "Ugh. If I had my kitties with me you wouldn't be so cocky!"

She turned and stalked away, leaving Kimiko to stare after her with a mixture of revulsion, amusement, and utter bewilderment. What the heck did she mean by kitties?

This was made for an online fanzine that featured a bunch of artists who made art and fanfics for Xiaolin Showdown and Kirby of the Stars (Kirby: Right Back At Ya!). I wanted my piece to feature all the characters that made the show great, I tried to fit in as many characters as I could that I believe brought something to the table. This show has brought me so many good memories and really helped me get where I am with my art, when I was a child first experiencing this show it really struck a cord within me. The art style was perfect, the colours where amazing, the characters were all unique, design was on point and the story that followed throughout the show and even it’s new revival series and a sequel it had some interested plots to it. I wanted to make something that said to the viewer “I love this show and here’s why”. I don’t know if this gives off that vibe to you, if it does then hurray! This show might not be to everyone’s liking and I wouldn’t force you to watch it.

I don’t know if I’ll get a chance to exhibit this in-fic, but one of Timber’s many stupid weaknesses is pretty girls. Had she been there at the Temple when Dyris was around, she would have been the BIGGEST simp for her there, especially since she’s always been a fan of mermaids ever since she was little.

I also headcanon her as being easily charmed by Katnappé during their encounters because of Ashley’s beauty and magnetism, and if she met the Vipers she’d be such a little show-off and do all sorts of tricks with her powers just to win them over.

All in all Timber’s a lot flirtier with girls than with guys, and she’s especially a fan of fiery, stubborn ones who don’t take anyone’s bullshit.

After 4 years, 2 months and I do not know how many days of writing, editing and re-editing, revamping, and checking for mistakes. I finish the one-shot that I want to finish so badly.

Buster Shot, a story mainly focus on the relationship between the wizard, Janaya and his guitar-playing imagomancer godsister, Corral Lynn-Foster, and how Corral play a role in some of the people from Townsville in Janaya’s life. Along the way, two more certain people Janaya and Corral known from Echo Creek are mentioned in the story.

Finally! I can share my re-design of Katnappé! based on tuxedo cats and the purple outfit we see her on her episode. She is a thief that enjoys to stream her battles with the monks for some Shen Gong Wu! Make sure to donate $50+ for a cat joke!

Ashley gets terribly bored in the lab despite being incredibly talented, and enjoys attention and causing problems! So, her favorite hobby is dress in her cat persona and go after Sheng Gong Wu (as long as they are nearby her location and she doesn't have to deal with demands from others). After all, her fans ADORE to see her fight the monks regardless if she wins or not. Prime entertainment!

what’s your favorite headcanon of wuya x yzma? i am interested in hearing about this ship.

Because Yzma was turned into a cat that one time (we all know which time), Wuya likes to use feline terms like the nickname “Kitty” when sweet-talking her. This is the only capacity in which Yzma ever actively enjoys being reminded that she was a cat once. Wuya, I see as always having had a thing for women with cat aesthetic - she was QUITE impressed by Katnappé back in the day.
