I really like her design. She's probably the most well-thought OC of mine, which is surprising but well. She's actually a civilian//NPC character in such a big multi-timelined universe of Mortal Kombat and her lore is pretty simple

Happy Pride Month: A queer game a day - 12nd June SOLSTICE
For today I bring you a visual novel that has a little romance but is mainly focused on solving the mystery of what is going on in this secluded city! The game is called "Solstice" and it is a classic "choose your dialogue/find different outcomes" visual novel, with beautiful backgrounds and music too.
In this game you play as two protagonists, Galan and Yani, who do not yet know each other and both reach this mysterious city in the snow to find out what is going on with it. It all starts with a disappearance, and during your investigation you will meet the other characters in the city and find out much more!
Regarding the queer content, Galen (one of the two protagonists) is a gay man and during your investigation you can allow him to explore a romance with Kasiya!

🌙//My Young Dragon Headcanons (Cynder Edition):
Too independent for her own good. And the term stoic doesn't quite suit her either, it's more like emotionally stunted, as in she can't express or understand emotions properly. Though, the more she interacts with the others, the easier communication gets, but the 'Lone Wolf' mindset is so ingrained into her psyche that it can slow progression to a snail's pace. It doesn't help that she was never a people person to begin with and quite irritable, too, with an odd tendency to brood when left alone for too long.
Dream Weaver, there's no doubt about it. She has the perception and sixth sense of one, not to mention her innate ability to physically interact with people's dreams. She mainly uses her status as a Dream Weaver to eat and create nightmares, which she prefers to do over obliterating them. She cannot bring herself to care for regular dreams because they're 'boring', geez, it's clear why she gets along with Kasiya so well.
She has yet to meet Spyro, Sparx, or anyone that wasn't a Dream Weaver or a Fairy and frankly, she's indifferent about it. 'Cairo, was it? I'm going to have to decline the 'playdate' you set up for us, Bakari, because I'm sure we both have better things to be doing'. In a scenario where she and him do finally meet, she's going to be standoffish and cold towards him while he gives a ridiculous amount of sass right back at her, it would be a disaster.
She doesn't like talking about how she got her cuffs, and, by extension, her past. 'Let's... Not talk about it. All you need to know... Is that it was bad'. She hates dreaming with a passion as they bring forth memories thought to have been suppressed. The one, singular story to leave her mind was about her birth, how she stayed in her egg past infancy slowly absorbing the magic within the air. The first face to greet her was one of a dragon full of malice and rapacity... He's no longer in this world... And that's where her story stopped.
She uses two particular elements that would take lifetimes to master, Shadow and Fear. The only way she'd be able to get that kind of power is if it was bestowed to her or if she was born with it, a one in a billion chance. The origins of her powers are dubious at best, but with Shadow she can dive into her own shadow and surprise enemies with sneak attack, and with Fear she can paralyze her enemies and cause hallucinations. She's strong, no debate, but relies heavily on magic rather than physical skill to win her battles.
She resides in Dark Passage, where she acts quite hostile to perceived threats when they get too close to the territory she's guarding. A few months ago, she had been rescued by Bakari after being found unconscious near the 'Return Home' portal in Dark Passage. Her first instinct was to attack the old man who swiftly put her to sleep. Several grueling weeks passed, but she eventually warmed up to all the Dream Weavers, and quietly swore to protect them alone with her life.
Claustrophobic and will instantly grow anxious if confined to a small space without any natural lighting. Any room she's in needs at least one window or she'll be on edge, more than usual, for the remainder of her stay. 'Give me a minute, it's stuffy in here... It's hard to breathe'. It got bad once when she fell into a Fool's trap, an empty spring box, and she was hysterical in the pitch-black dimension. If Obasi hadn't been there to soothe and release her, she would've unleashed her second form in a blind panic.
She can manifest herself as an intimidating dragoness but can't keep that form for long. It's all an illusion, a combination of the Shadow and Fear elements that doesn't improve her strength in any way. She takes this form when dealing with the extremely aggressive Fools and Devil Dogs. Hmm, her transformation is quite similar to theirs, it must definitely be from overexposure to the twisted magic of the Dream Weaver Realms.

Set never gave anything other than His all in battle. He hadn’t just manifested in spirit above Bomani’s body, He had completely taken it over.
So be it.
Kasiya had no objections to doing the same.
“This is the battle you have chosen, brother. There is no turning back now.”
“I CANNOT ALLOW THIS!!”
The light of Isis blinded them both, causing them to cover their eyes. The Goddess Herself now had complete control over Vinneketh’s unconscious body. Kasiya, now dominated by Osiris, turned to Her with a scowl. “Wife..why do you stop me?”
“I will not allow you to destroy each other and the Vessels in which you inhabit. You must stop the senseless need for revenge.”
“DO YOU NOT REMEMBER WHAT HE DID TO ME?!”
“That is a ridiculous question! Of course I remember..but I also remember the hardships I endured to restore you. Would you allow this obsession to take you away from me again?”
Those words seemed to give Osiris pause.
“Husband..do you still love me..?”
“Yes..of course I love you. You know this.”
“Then please stop this. Set has another duty to fulfill now. As do I. Let go of the past and return to me. You belong by my side.”
“Isis..I..”
“Say no more, my husband. Your actions are enough~”
Set turned away as Osiris and Isis embraced. Soon after, they both collapsed.

When Vinneketh awoke again he was lying in his bed. He turned to see Bomani sitting beside him and dozing off. “You should be resting yourself~”
Bomani opened his eyes and returned Vinneketh’s smile. “You know I had to make sure you were safe first~”
“Of course~ Where is--?”
“In another part of the temple recovering. Under heavy guard.”
“Is..Set satisfied with the outcome..?”
“He’ll have to be. This is as far as I want to take it. I just..never expected you to--”
“It wasn’t me. It was Her choice. She just used my body.”
“Well..you can rest now. I’m sure She will see her husband again under better circumstances.”
“Masika and Dalila?”
“They’re alright. They’ll probably be in here at some point to check on you too.”
“Oh, good~ How do you feel?”
“About what?”
“About..your brother being here..about the history our Patron Gods have together..”
Bomani sighed. “This is all..incredibly strange to me..but as long as they don’t start..showing their love in front of me or something I think I can handle it.”
Vinneketh laughed. “I promise you, they won’t. You have my word~”

Impormatibo - Andrei Galita
Ang Don Bosco Technical Institute of Makati ay isang pribadong Katolikong paaralan sa Pilipinas na pag-aari at pinamamahalaan ng Salesians ng Don Bosco. Kasama sa edukasyon nito, ang paaralan ay pinamumunuan din ng Salesian Preventive System na inuuna ang katwiran, relihiyon, at mapagmahal na kabaitan, upang hindi lamang maturuan ang mga kabataan, kundi upang bumuo din ng wastong moral, mabait, at magiliw na mga mamamayan. Nag-aalok ito ng tatlong pangunahing antas ng edukasyon, elementarya, junior high school, at senior high school, na may kasamang isa pang antas na tinatawag na TVET.
Pinapanatili ng elementarya ang mga pangunahing asignatura at kursong iminungkahi ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon, at gumagamit ng iba pang paraan ng edukasyon tulad ng Computer Aided Design na hindi lamang nagpapadali sa pag-aaral, ngunit ginagawa rin itong masaya at kasiya-siya para sa mga bata at nagbibigay ganang matuto sa mga mag-aaral. Nagbibigay ang Junior High School ng parehong kurikulum gaya ng elementarya ngunit nagdaragdag sa pagkatuto sa pamamagitan ng pagpapakilala ng mga teknikal na kurso tulad ng pag-draft, electrical engineering, information technology, atbp. Ito ay nagbubuo ng mga teknolohikal na kasanayan para sa mga estudyante at tumutulong sa kanila na maghanda para sa kanilang mga plano sa kinabukasan. Nag-aalok ang Senior High School ng 4 na magkakaibang mga strand na mapipili ng mga mag-aaral at nagbibigay ng iba't ibang kurso at kasanayan para sa kani-kanilang mga kurso, and mga strands na pwedeng puntahan ng mga estudyante ay and STEM, HUMMS, AD, at ABM. Kasabay ng Senior High School na ito ay tumutulong sa mga mag-aaral na lumago mula sa mga kabataan, hanggang sa handang young adults na malapit nang maranasan ang buhay nang mag-isa. Ang TVET ay isang antas na nag-aalok ng teknolohikal na pagsasanay sa “poor and out-of-school youth,” na nagbibigay sa kanila ng karanasan sa pagsasanay at hands-on-experience na sapat upang mabigyan sila ng disenteng trabaho. Kahit na ang lahat ng antas na ito ay mula sa edad ng maliliit na bata, hanggang sa pagbuo ng mga teenager, hanggang sa mga taong bago pa lamang sa pagtanda, pinananatili ng Don Bosco Makati ang bisyon nito na bumuo hindi lamang ng mga bihasang kabataan sa kinabukasan ng mundong ito, kundi ng mga matuwid na kabataan na nabubuhay sa kanilang kabaitan, pagmamahal, at paglilingkod, paggawa ng mga tao na may moral na gabay.
Dahil dito ay nagpalaki ng maraming kabataan ang Don Bosco, ngunit sa maraming mabubuti at matuwid na mamamayan na pinalaki ng paaralan, ang pinakakilalang alumni ay sina Kim Atienza isang sikat na TV Host, Raymond Bagatsing isang matagumpay na Aktor na Pilipino, at Miguel at Paolo Guico ang dalawang pangunahing mga bokalista ng sikat na bandang Pilipino, sina Ben at Ben.

Powers and Abilities: Botanokinesis, mushroom manipulation, Life Transference.
Personality: She is friendly and good hearted but also dedicated to her duty. She is also serious, mature, and not one to stray away from her responsibilities. She’s carefree at heart but unfortunately does not get many opportunities to showcase it due to her obligations.
History: Crafted from nature’s flora, Kasiya is a creation by Cetrion as a means to help souls cross from Earthrealm to the Heavens like Kharon does for the souls that go to the Netherrealm.
Kasiya has been a part of MK universe since the beginning but did not make an official appearance until the second timeline (MK9).
In MK9 she mainly watches the spectacle from the Garden of Lotós, speaking with Raiden when he seeks her help since The Elder Gods are doing nothing to stop Shao Kahn. At this time, she is still very loyal to Cetrion but starts to question her mother and Kronika’s behavior and attitude towards the events circulating.
When Kung Lao is killed, she is absolutely devastated but knows she cannot interfere due to her status as a deity and risk a severe punishment from Cetrion. She reluctantly continues to watch from her home, up until several of the Earthrealm Champions are killed by Sindel. She confronts Cetrion to put a stop to this before more lives are lost but again, Cetrion only silences her and says that they are Gods and cannot do anything until Shao Kahn breaks the rules of Mortal Kombat. The rest of the events unfold and Kasiya is left heartbroken and in an emotional turmoil. This is also when she starts to feel lost in who she is and where she starts her journey into becoming astray.
In MKX (before the 20 year timeskip), Kasiya speaks more with Raiden along with Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. While she still hasn’t left her home yet, she does speak with them via her fytó stámnas (pitcher plant). Just like before, she attempts to tell Cetrion of her brother, Shinnok, and the chaos he is causing upon Earthrealm. Again she is disregarded, warned that if she were to continue speaking with Raiden or his champions, there would be dire consequences. Kasiya obeys long enough to get her mother off her back, returning to talking with Raiden and attempting to help him in any way she can from her home. Throughout the story she tries to speak with Revenant Kung Lao to get him to change and to stop working for Quan Chi (even though she knows his sorcery is nearly impossible to break.)
After Shinnok is defeated, she sees how the darkness starts to overtake Raiden, Kasiya trying one more desperate attempt to get her mother to speak with Kronika. She is brushed aside immediately, being told that everything is going the way it is supposed to by Kronika's hand.
MK11 is when Kasiya truly steps into action, knowing about Kronika’s place to restart time for The New Era. While she fears what this truly meant, there was a sliver of hope in her that she would be reunited with Kung Lao once again.
When the Outworld and Earthrealm champions arrive at the Koliseum, she does not interfere when the fight breaks out. When Raiden, Liu Kang, and Kung Lao leave to Earthrealm and are at the Special Forces, she makes the decision right then and there to go against her mother and Kronika. She shows up at the base, reuniting with Kung Lao and Liu Kang and also informing them of their revenant counterparts.
While the reunion was short lived, Kasiya informs them that she cannot join them on their journey to the Wu Shi Temple, saying that she will be returning to the Garden of Lotós to keep an eye on things from above. Throughout the story she informs Raiden and the others about what Kronika is doing, warning them to be careful and to proceed with caution.
Before the final battle, Cetrion confronts Kasiya and gives her one final chance to stop what she is doing and join her and Kronika. Kasiya refuses, claiming she wishes to fight alongside Earthrealm. A fight ensues and although she nearly loses her life, at the last second Cetrion spares her and captures her to take to Kronika’s Keep. There she forces Kasiya to assist with the hourglass, having her watch helplessly as Liu Kang fights the Revenants and then eventually Cetrion. She aids Liu Kang when he attempts to reason with her mother, saying that even she knows that what Kronika is doing is wrong. When that proves futile, Cetrion makes Kasiya sacrifice herself to Kronika, followed by herself after.
The final fight begins and when Liu Kang wins and is made The Keeper of Time, Liu Kang reverses time to bring Kasiya back, allowing her to choose her destiny. She opts to be with Kung Lao but also chooses to remain as the ferrywoman in the Garden of Lotós.
In Aftermath she retains her memories and everything relatively plays the same except prior to the final battle when Kasiya fights her mother, she wins. She leaves and joins the fight alongside Earthrealm, aiding Kung Lao on the ship he occupies.
When Shao Kahn throws him overboard, Kasiya does not hesitate to go after him. After realizing the extent of his injuries, she decides to give her life to him, realizing just how much she truly loves him. Kung Lao attempts to stop her, despite being weak and having no strength. As they share their final kiss, she passes in his arms, claiming that he has been her ‘greatest adventure’. He takes her empty pendant and the rest of the story plays as normal.
Prior to the events of MK1, Liu Kang gives Kasiya the life she always desired; to be free of her duties and to have a normal life. In MK1 she is reincarnated as a human, adopted by Madam Bo and waitressing at her restaurant where she is childhood friends with Raiden and Kung Lao.
Fun Facts:
— While Kharon is immortal, she is not. She wears a pendant around her neck that holds her life and if the magic inside is ever depleted fully or if the pendant breaks, she will die. Another thing to note is that unlike her mother Cetrion, if she were to die it would not be permanent.
— Kasiya and Kung Lao have always been together in one way or another, but it always ends with Kung Lao dying in every reincarnation/timeline. He never remembers her but she always remembers him since she has always been one but he’s been many versions. In MK9 their relationship is mainly off screen but it’s only until after his death when you learn that they were together.
— Just like the Sea of Blood in the Netherrealm, the Garden of Lotós is a place that can be accessed via portal. While not directly in Heaven, there are stairs and a sea a soul must cross in order to pass on.
— Because it is only accessible via portals, Kung Lao is given a special ring that allows him to come and go as he pleases.
— Their relationship is mostly a secret, those who only know are Raiden and Liu Kang (prev timelines). They are not officially together in MK1.

Kababaihan Laban sa Lipunan
Nakasentro ang pelikulang Barbie, na pinalabas noong 2023, sa buhay ni "Stereotypical Barbie". Nagtataglay si Stereotypical Barbie ng tinatawag na perpektong mga katangian, tulad ng kung ano ang inaasahan ng lipunan sa isang babae. Nagtataglay siya ng mga katangian tulad ng kagandahan, pagiging flawless, at pagkakaroon ng perpekto at kasiya-siyang personalidad. Tungkol ito sa paglalakbay ni Stereotypical Barbie at lahat ng iba pang mga Barbie tungo sa pagtuklas ng kanilang tunay na pagkatao. Sa pelikulang ito, sinimulan nilang matuklasan na hindi nila kailangang matakot na maging isang tao at magkaroon ng mga regular na katangian. Natuklasan nila na hindi masama ang pagiging hindi perpekto at na huwag lang maging isa taong inaasahan ng lipunan sa kanila. Upang maging tiyak, tungkol ito sa kababaihan na tinatanggap ang pagiging isang babae at hindi umaayon sa mga pamantayan ng lipunan at mga stereotype sa kasarian. Sumasalungat ito sa mga pamantayang itinayo ng patriarchy sa lipunan na nakakasira sa mismong ideya ng pagiging isang babae.
Nagustuhan ko kung paano hindi angkop ang kuwento para sa isang partikular na demograpiko lamang. Hinihikayat ng pelikulang Barbie ang mga lalaki at babae na balewalain ang mga stereotype ng kasarian dahil humahadlang lamang ito sa kanilang kakayahang bumuo ng personal at natatanging mga kakayahan, pati na rin ang isang tunay na personal na pagkakakilanlan. Isang malaking punto ng pelikula ang matugunan ang gender inequality. Mayroon pa ring gender inequality sa mga larangan tulad ng trabaho, ekonomiya, at mga ugnayang panlipunan. Ipinakita ito sa pelikula kung saan binubuo ng mga lalaki ang board of directors ng kumpanyang Mattel. Sa pelikula, ipinakita nito ang pagnanais ng mga lalaki upang mangibabaw sa lahat ng larangan at kung gaano kadali para sa kanila na gawin ito dahil sa kung paano umunlad ang lipunan sa mga nakaraang taon, at kung paano ito nagbigay sa mga lalaki ng paraan upang patuloy na manatili sa kapangyarihan. Isang magandang representasyon ang Barbie sa kasalukuyang lipunan at ang mga problema nito tungkol sa panlipunang relasyon ng mga lalaki at babae.
