Updates posted Sundays, Tuesdays & Thursdays with an occassional bonus day for a little ✨ razzle dazzle ✨
Named after one of my favorite books and albums, Things Fall Apart is an epic tale of lust, greed, betrayal, vengeance and, above all else, growth.
Tumblr media
This story never started as a legacy nor was it intended to be anything other than gameplay.  However, these characters evolved and, as such, so did their stories; each intertwined and forever impacted by the others.
Written, played and photographed by The Watcher circa 2015. This story is best read/viewed on a laptop, tablet or PC.
Should you choose to continue, please note that this story is rated MA for Mature Audiences and contains strong language, violence, adult themes, strong sexual content, nudity and a variety of triggers appropriately tagged for depression and abuse in all of its forms. This story is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18 (DNI).

Posting Schedule
I typically post story updates/episodes on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. I post in the mornings (US CST) and reblog in the evenings.
Author's Note:
This story has been a labor of love, writing is a hobby and so is gaming. Combining the two has helped me in ways I cannot put into words. I am thankful to you for enjoying this hobby with me. Writing urban fiction using the sims, for me, will forever be inspired by mochasims, rest in paradise, dear friend. Mocha created a community for Black storytellers where one didn't exist anywhere in the Sims Community and paved the way for other Black writers to follow with her epic tale of Men and Stilettos and of course Kasim's adventures!
I will be forever grateful for the safe space she created to tell real, Black ass stories. Much love sis.

Nancy Drew Rewatch 105: The Case of The Wayward Spirit
(or the one where everyone is serving looks)
Okay so we're back to more plotty episodes, and I am glad for it, though I did appreciate the last two very character driven episodes.
This episode features two new characters (well I guess one is on their second episode), neither of which made it past s1, neither of which I like.
I have discussed how Owen is....fine. He is...present. He was...on this show. That is really the most complimentary thing I can say about Owen, otherwise he's just kinda....Generic Man #3.
Laura. God, I actively dislike Laura. I get her motivations, but she constantly manipulates Ace, she disrespects what Tiffany wanted and she is just generally annoying and intolerable, and I can't wait for her to leave.
From episode 3's MVP of Tunji Kasim, Leah Lewis and Alex Saxon share the spotlight this episode.
But big praise for Leah Lewis. You cannot say she doesn't commit to a posession arc.
She looks freaking gorgeous in this dress too:
Tumblr media
Okay so, that is not a finger prick's worth of blood on the mirror?
I swear Nancy's hair is less blonde and more orange this episode.
Kennedy McMann serving looks here too. The orange isn't a great color but damn does it make her eyes pop:
Tumblr media
Ace being the best wingman ever.
A deep, profound sigh that I will have to contend with like 10+ episodes of Nick/Nancy and Nancy/Owen scenes to come. I swear it's not a Nace thing but it's just so....yeah.
Speaking of Nace, we get some classic baby Nace "no personal space" scenes this episode, along with some extended gazes. I can see why some started shipping them here.
Tumblr media
Also shout outs to Alex Saxon. They really seem to be noticeably upping his scenes, and he is excellent comic relief. One of my fave Ace lines:
Tumblr media
A prepared king and his knife
Tumblr media
I wouldn't give Laura the password either, miss me with that and please leave.
Fuck, I love Nick. That last scene with Tiffany....Ned Nickerson, the man you are.
Also baby Nace and baby Fanson!
Tumblr media
I said this to @middleagedresidentofriverdale but I LOVE George's style. If I didn't work in a super conservative environment with kids, this is exactly what I'd want to dress like.
I am...both looking forward to and not looking forward to the next few. Like I am already prepping myself for some Ace-less episodes.
But also the way they slowly unfold the mystery is SO GOOD and I am almost going to be disappointed when the two main murders are solved.
Thank you for being here to watch the cast of ND serve looks.

P-P-P-Power Rankings!!
Since continuing series are going to be on break during the New Year, Power Rankings will also be gone next week.
Jujutsu Kaisen (Last: 1): "Geto" absorbed Mahito and revealed that he was once Noritoshi Kamo, the baddest dude in all of jujutsu history.
The Faraway Paladin (Last: 6): Will slayed the dragon, absorbed his dragon factor to become even stronger, and got Stagnate hot and bothered.
Helck (Last: 2): Vermilio assured Helck that there was still hope for the humans, possibly with intel from the totally not dead Azudra.
The Apothecary Diaries (Last: 3): Maomao lost her job as collateral damage from Fengming's crimes, but Jinshi bought her from the brothel.
My New Boss is Goofy (Last: 5): Determined to move forward, Momose secured his own apartment... directly across from Shirosaki's.
Spy X Family (Last: 7): Becky became Yor's disciple after failing to win Loid's heart, then he and Bond dove into a house fire.
Under Ninja (Last: 8): Kuro was defeated and NIN lost Escape, promising a widening domestic conflict against an emboldened UN.
S-Rank Musume (Last: NR): Attempts to make Ange and Kasim fight each other were thwarted by their mutual admiration of Belgrieve.
Aiming for eight each week cuz eighters gonna eight. [Full Watch List]

#3, #6 & #24? :)
hii thank you so much for the ask!! <3
#3 What were your top five books of the year?
I didn't read a lot of books this year so it feels a bit weird to make a top five out of ten books. But here are some books I loved reading: Tears In The Water by Margherita Scillia, Fifteen Hundred Miles From The Sun by Jonny Garza Villa, Beating Heart Baby by Lio Min and Lark and Kasim start a Revolution by Kacen Callender. They're all YA (except for Tears In The Water, I think), all queer and all of them made my heart very very happy.
#6 Was there anything you meant to read, but never got to?
So so so much!! The biggest one is One For All by Lillie Lainoff, which has chronic illness representation that I'm very excited to read. Others are Foul Lady Fortune by Chloe Gong and her newer releases. But I always need some time to get into fantasy. And all of Taylor Jenkins Reed books, since I absolutely adored The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo. This year I mostly read YA contemporary and I'll try to read other stuff next year. It takes more but the reward is big.
#24 Did you DNF anything? Why?
No I haven't DNF'ed anything in years. In my head it's just not really an option not to finish a book. And besides, most of the books I don't enjoy I read for school so I have to finish them anyway.

When is Kasim's birthday? What is his favourite kind of cake? I ask because birthdaycore is one of my favorite aesthetics and I want to put him on my aesthetic board list for whatever date. :'3
Awwww this is the sweetest ask!!! Kasim’s Bday is February 10th! Tilly and him often wait till Valentines Day to have a party for him though, it’s practical and all the more romantic… I would say his favorite flavor of cake would either be red velvet or some sort of coffee-chocolate cake! He drinks coffee near constantly and it’s one of his favorite things !
Pls tag me when you make the board I’d love to see it!! ^_^❤️❤️❤️🌈

An Analysis of Helicopter parenting on its Effects on Children's Development
Helicopter parenting, also known as over-parenting or hyper-parenting, is a style of parenting where parents are highly involved in their children's lives, often hovering over them and micromanaging their decisions. This parenting style has gained significant attention in recent years due to its potential negative effects on children's development. In this essay, we will examine the research on helicopter parenting and its impact on children's development.
One of the most significant negative effects of helicopter parenting is the development of anxiety and stress in children. According to a study conducted by researchers at the University of Mary Washington, children of helicopter parents tend to be more anxious and have lower self-esteem than their peers who have less intrusive parents (Schiffrin et al., 2014). The study also found that these children may experience higher levels of depression and may be more likely to engage in risky behaviors, such as drug and alcohol abuse.
Another negative effect of helicopter parenting is the stunted development of autonomy and independence in children. According to a study published in the Journal of Child and Family Studies, children of helicopter parents may have difficulty making decisions and may struggle with problem-solving skills (Jones et al., 2017). These children may also lack the confidence to take risks and explore new experiences, which can impact their ability to thrive independently in adulthood.
Furthermore, helicopter parenting can lead to the development of entitlement in children. A study published in the Journal of Family Psychology found that helicopter parenting was associated with increased levels of narcissism and entitlement in children (Brijlall & Furrer, 2019). The study found that children who were raised by helicopter parents tended to believe that they were special and deserving of preferential treatment.
Moreover, helicopter parenting can negatively impact a child's academic performance. A study published in the Journal of Child and Family Studies found that children of helicopter parents tend to have lower academic achievement and lower academic motivation than their peers (Jones et al., 2017). These children may also struggle with time management and organization skills, which can hinder their ability to succeed in college and the workforce.
In conclusion, helicopter parenting can have significant negative effects on children's development, including increased anxiety and stress, stunted autonomy and independence, entitlement, and academic difficulties. Parents should strive to strike a balance between providing guidance and support and allowing their children to make their own decisions and learn from their mistakes. Encouraging independence, resilience, and self-regulation can help children develop into confident, well-rounded individuals who can navigate the challenges of adulthood.
