Mr Joseph Brickowski

He is the father of emmet/rex, Larry (the barista dude cause yes) and Maya Jane (the youngest sibling!) He is happily married to Ms Brickowski (Ella) and he's quite dorky just like Emmet. He loves to bake in his free time, he was seperated from the family when he was visiting his parents as the walls were put up. He stayed with them during the apocalypse as he was scared of being hurt, after the apocalypse he came back down to syspocalypstar in time for one of his children's wedding to his special best friend!

Greetings.

I have been told by Doctor Fox that Rex Joseph Brickowski has been intimidating others and acting inappropriately when working as a government official. As the ambassador to the Unikingdom, I would like to apologize on the kingdom's behalf. RJ is... Used to a certain amount of freedom when it comes to his mannerisms and his actions in our universe. He can also be abrasive. I will not get into his history as he is taking steps to improve himself. He will be informed tonight when I get home of any complaints that we have received so we can further address any steps he needs to take.

We do appreciate hearing how he has helped as well. He has been under probation with the Syspocalypstarian government for a long time and the more evidence we have that he is improving, the more we can prove that he is no longer a threat to the universe at large.

As for any requests to adventure with him or see his mothership, those will need to be filed with him at a later date. The Rexcelsior is currently property of the Unikingdom government and he would need to go through the necessary steps to hold a tour or take the ship out of orbit.

If you have any questions or further comment, feel free to address them with me or the queen. Thank you.

As a post script: any power crystals that were found in RJ's possession are considered property of the Unikingdom government. Please return any power crystals you find to either myself or RJ.

Rocket sighs. So... I'm pretty sure you've figured out by now, but uh... You're a long way from home right now. But before I go into detail, I want you to know you don't have to worry, we're gonna help you get back, all right?

Lucy stays quiet, processing what he said. After a moment she nods, tears starting to form, but she's clearly trying not to let them fall

Rocket looks down at the tabletop, frowning at his hands. ... I'm going to kick this off by saying... I look a lot like someone you know, right? But I'm still so different it's a bit scary, huh?

Lucy hesitantly nods again.

... Well... That's because... The multiverse theory? It's actually... true. You've ended up in another timeline. Rocket looks up at her with a sheepish smile. Hey, you're not the first person to end up here, and we've sent the others back!!... It's okay, I promise.

There's no spark of realization in Lucy's eyes, and Rocket nods sympathetically. It was a confusing thing to learn about if you'd never heard of it before.

So he continues. There are a bunch of different universes. Each of them a little different from the others. For example... Rocket hesitates to share this, but then realizes he has to continue for her to understand. Before I changed my name to Rex, then Rocket... my birth name was Emmet Joseph Brickowski. He waits for her reaction, blushing nervously.

Lucy opens her mouth, a word forming on her tongue, but evidently she second-guesses herself, as she just stays quiet again.

Her silence makes Rocket shrink slightly, smile wobbling nervously. He was so scared he was saying the wrong things again. He just didn't want her to hate him.

... S-so... Even though I'm... similar to the guy you know I'm... not. That's... all... He can't seem to think of anything to say...

Lucy thinks about what he said, then takes a deep, shaky breath. "... S-so, I'm really in a... a different t-timeline?" She looks up at Rocket for confirmation.

Rocket nods, looking at her with worry. We know how to send you back. But... Yeah. Somehow you... got transported through spacetime.

Lucy frowns slightly as she thinks back. "... Uhm, I was just... taking a morning walk in the park... a-and then I'm just suddenly standing in a d-dark lit hallway, and then a dinosaur bumps into me and then I ran into... y-you guys..."

Rocket nods in understanding. A temporal anomaly, like what happened to Ryder... Yeah, that makes sense.

Lucy doesn't know what to say anymore. There had to be plenty of questions going through her mind, but she can't seem to phrase any of them. So she just stays quiet, glancing at the other two.

Rem catches her eye and gives her a wobbly smile, before looking down again, chewing on his lip nervously. Rex is still staring at the coffee maker, but she can catch his glare from what little of his expression she can see.

... More explanation is needed, it seems... But taking a breather is important. Being in another universe was a lot to take in.

so i was in the shower and i suddenly had a huge realisation

i feel like the lego movie fandom always tend to overlook two specific lines in the rexcelsior tour scene. those lines are between two of rex’s raptors:

Raptor #1: [What’s the WiFi password?]

Raptor #2: [I don’t know, ask Sharon.]

this then means two things.

1: the rexcelsior somehow has wifi.

2: radical emmet xtreme machete ninja star joseph brickowski dangervest decided that of all the names in the world, he would call one of his raptors freaking sharon. like the most stereotypical-middle-aged-white-woman-soccer-mom name ever conceived.
