Jiren had his eyes closed, using the time to meditate as he and Marcarita travelled through the universe. But his own inner turmoil made it hard to focus and he couldn't keep it to himself anymore.
"I still believe this is a waste of time." Jiren grumbled. He had a universe to protect, he couldn't abandon it just for a vacation!
"Toppo insists that this will be good for you and Lord Belmod agrees. Personality i also believe having some time away from your duties will help." The angel said.
Jiren grunted and closed his eyes again. He didn't know how long the trip was but when he opened his eyes he saw he and Marcarita had arrived on a planet. Jiren had no prior knowledge on where he would be for the duration or his "time off".
At least the planet he was staying at looked nice enough. With lush green fields and a gentle blue lake of water with an equally beautiful blue sky.
Jiren removed his hand from the angel and saw a nearby small, dome shaped building what was most likely a house.
"See? This planet looks lovely. Whis recommended this world. I can imagine you'll find some peace and quiet here." Marcarita tried to encourage the gray alien to go along with the idea.
So he was somewhere in universe 7? No wonder the journey felt so long.
"I still have trepidation about this. What if the Pride Troopers require my assistance?" Jiren knew Toppo and Dyspo were powerful warriors but you never knew what evil could come from out of nowhere.
A small glowing light answered his question. Before him was a small circular device with a button built in.
"This device will allow you to communicate with the Pride Troopers, and vice versa. Should they require your assistance then all you need to do it press the button and you'll be back in Universe 11 in no time.
Jiren plucked the device from the air and examined it. A press of a button and he'll be back to the Trooper headquarters?
'Click'
Jiren and Marcarita stood in silence as Jiren pressed the button but still found himself on the same planet.
"Of course in order for it to work, Toppo must press his own button. We figured you might try that." Jiren glared at the smirking angel. Yes one could call his action childish but this whole situation was taxing on his patience.
"Now, preparations have been made for your stay. The people inside that home have been made aware of your arrival and have made accommodations for you."
"I'm staying with others?" Jiren was tempted to press the button again, just out of sheer desperation to get out of this.
"You socialising some more was also recommended. This is to, oh what's the phrase...? Kill two birds with one stone." Before Jiren could further question Marcarita, the attendant quickly tapped her staff onto the ground and disappeared in a streak of light, no doubt already exiting the solar system in mere seconds.
Jiren sighed, wondering if he should just fly all the way back to universe 11 just out of spite but shook his head. After the Tournaments of Power, Jiren knew he needed to better himself, not as a fighter but as a person.
For years he was cold and distant to his teammates, believing any connection he made would be a weakness and he couldn't allow any weakness.
Yet that ideology led to his defeat against universe 7. Their power of trust overcame his own strength. He couldn't, no, he wouldn't allow his tragic past to dictate his future anymore.
'Maybe this will be good for me.' Jiren thought to himself as he hoisted his small rucksack over his shoulder and made his way to the front door of the house, knocking on the door.
'Maybe Belmod is right.' Jiren thought and the door finally opened, revealing a familiar, grinning face.
"Hey, Jiren!" Son Goku greeted the Pride Trooper.
'Belmod, I will murder you.'

Thought on Powerful Cowardice
I think Jiren from Dragon Ball Super and Kylo Ren from the Star Wars sequel trilogy are thematically similar.
Both Jiren and Kylo Ren cling to strength as their saviors and rely on their actions alone-not their supporters.
Both Jiren the Gray and Kylo Ren, formerly Ben Solo, are in their respective organizations because the Pride Troopers and the First Order give them an excuse to not only lash out at a cosmos that hurt them- but also to prove they'll never be hurt like that again.
Both of them think they're too strong to depend on outside support. Neither understand they wouldn't be as powerful as they are without it.
Unfortunately once that paradox is revealed to them- that Might does not equal Right, that their strength or power is not a substitute for a life...Jiren and Kylo Ren first rage and then collapse under the weight of their own expectations.
Finally, they have to face the fear of connection and will themselves towards a more true strength.

I'm musing about my superhero setting a bit and I kind of want some insight/suggestions
I'm trying to figure out what I want Heart Ace (spades superman) to actually look like. I know that they are kind of inspired by Jiren from DBS, mostly because I really liked the early intepetation/rewrite of how Jiren was supposed to be like, Superman, and it was Toriyama trying to Canonize goku VS superman, if only that was actually how it turned out.
Another reason is because I want them to actually look like an alien. I want to play into 1960s scifi and UFO culture desgin influences. Gray skin, big eyes. I want them to look like a gray without it looking too goofy.
I know they have a white suit, black cape, and red heart insignia because it opposites Spades colors.
I'm also considering making their suit look like, a part of them, like it's unclear where their skin begins or ends, it also plays into their otherworldlyness. I want them to look like they don't come from our dimension.
On a similar topic, I'm trying to piece together their backstory. They come from a higher dimension based on emotion, and their empath abilities are what make them such a great hero. It's also why they don't trust Spade, because their empath abilities work based on brain chemistry and spades emotions are not. So they can't detect her and they question if her emotions are 'real'.
I know that a twist I want to establish later on is that Heart's alter ego is actually *multiple* different alters. They use these scifi glasses that lets them disguse themselves as different humans and it's revealed that they've been living *multiple* mundane lives in secret with their own connections, jobs wants, and dreams. The glasses are imparted to Spade after their defeat and it's an excuse to give her a cute girl form.

A hiss of surprise escapes Nucleotide. The slap sends his head reeling back… maybe an inch or two. Some of his Pride Paint slides off and drips down on the pitch-black spandex adorning his shoulders. Still, he springs back, pouting.
“ I will NOT apologize for doing what’s right! I have reports of you stealing hearts, and I will abide by the words of the innocent until they are proven otherwise! Besides, if you had nothing to hide… ”
His thickly-lined eyes squeeze into thin slits.
“ … You wouldn’t slap a Pride Trooper across the face. ”
There’s a burning in his face, too. Not the kind that tints his cheeks, though. Instead there’s the distinct impression of a hand steadily growing more and more purple there. Nucleotide huffs, idly wondering what Jiren would have done in this scenario…
… Well, he’s not here. And as the famous gray said, he needs to learn to stand on his own two feet. His mission, his rules of conduct.
Nucleotide snatches Mariko by the wrist.
“ If you come with me, and you’re innocent, all you’ll have to deal with is some wasted time. But if you run, then guilty or innocent, I’ll have no choice but to pursue– and I assure you, neither of us want that. ”
"Oh, really? Whose reports? Who are these innocents?! Do you have names? My mother is a lawyer and if there is one thing she always says, is that justice needs evidence before everything else!"
She pulls her arm away with an indignant huff and takes in a deep breath, trying to regain some composure. She shouldn't act so frayed. It's unbecoming of a lady to lose her temper.
"... Very well," she decides then, rising her chin with a haughty look. "I'll come with you. I am innocent and hence have nothing to fear -- if anything, it'll teach you how level-headed people behave. But let me tell you, you are absolutely disappointing as an avenger. You lack method and tact. And above all, proofs."
