March 19, 1914: Birth of Comrade Jiang Qing, a leader of the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution in socialist China.
"When the imperialists and the reactionaries speak of Jiang Qing as the most hated woman in China, they are merely venting their own hatred of a revolutionary. They pour their venom upon her precisely because she was an unflinching and devoted adherent of the cause of revolutionary communism."

If a rightist, anti-communist coup occurs in China, my conclusion is they will not have peace, and it is quite possible that it will be short-lived. This is because all the revolutionaries, who represent the interest of more than 90% of the people, will not tolerate it. At that time, the right will possibly use my words to secure power for some time, and the left then will definitely use other of my words, organize, and defeat the right.

Life and Death
//Ok, so I was feeling a bit fluffy and a bit angsty. I decided to write a thing with half of this revolving around the birth of @hadesrebelofadaughter and F.A.N.G’s daughter and the second half many years later, revolving around F.A.N.G’s death. I have also done my best to portray a Buddhist funeral as accurately as possible. In some cases I’ve written F.A.N.G’s birth name the way we do (given name, last name/Xiang Jiāng) and other times I list it in the traditional Chinese way (Family name then given name/Jiāng Xiang).//
Jess is swearing as she gives birth to Althea. F.A.N.G has been there almost every step of the way. When Jess went into labor, F.A.N.G dropped everything and was there. He held her hand and does his best to comfort her and encourage her. Thankfully, the labor is reasonably quick.
Althea Liling Jiang-Faultor came into the world with piercing cries. F.A.N.G cuts the cord. The nurse cleans her up quickly and carefully. Another nurse is helping Jess get cleaned up some. Jess asks F.A.N.G about their daughter, she smiles and chuckles at his answer.
“She’s as beautiful as her mom,” F.A.N.G says. There is so much pride in his voice and so much pride written on his thin features.
Soon, Althea is cleaned up, bundled up, and in Jess’s arms. Althea coos and gurgles as she occasionally opens her eyes.
“Look at that head of hair,” Jess murmurs.
There is a motherly pride there. She gently smooths a hand over the bit of raven hair.
“And those little cheeks!” Jess grins.
Althea is fed, burped, and then gently rocked to sleep. F.A.N.G then gently holds her so Jess can get some rest. He cannot help but smile proudly as he studies his daughter.
“Thank you for bringing our little girl into the world,” he tells Jess softly.
“You’re welcome,” Jess says quietly with a soft smile. “Thank you for doing your part, for being so supportive, and for being here when she was born.”
“I would’ve moved the moon and stars to be here.”
Jess, Jess’s father and step-mother, Jess’s Demi-god siblings, nieces, and nephews, Ning, Bai, F.A.N.G’s half-sister, Tai, her husband, son, and granddaughter, Althea, her husband, her brother and his wife, F.A.N.G and Jess’s four grandchildren, and F.A.N.G and Jess’s great grandson all mourned F.A.N.G. He was ninety nine and he had passed away peacefully in his sleep early in the morning on September 9th, 2075.
There is a portrait of F.A.N.G in front of the casket. This serves as the centerpiece of the altar that has been set up by the family for the wake. The altar also has candles and other offerings such as flowers and fruit. There is incense burning, too. Buddhist tradition dictates that an image of Buddha should be placed near the altar, as well. Buddhist funeral rites are conducted on the morning of the cremation ceremony.
The mourners all wear white. For once, Bai is not wearing anything flashy. Each mourner that comes goes up to the casket to pay their respects with a slight bow, hands folded in front of them in a prayer position. Each one pauses in front of the casket for a quiet moment of reflection if so inclined.
After paying respects, the mourners then find a seat and wait for the service to begin. The Buddhist funeral rites are conducted by monks. The monk’s behavior as far as sitting and standing go: if they stand, mourners stand, too.
The service consists of sermons and chanting are delivered by monks. The eulogy is delivered by Althea. There is some group meditation. Mourners join in the chanting. The one’s that are unable, sit quietly. The service lasts roughly one hour. The cremation is held that evening.
Hades had asked Jess if she wanted F.A.N.G brought back. Jess was torn to say the least. On one hand, this is the man that she called husband for fifty five years, the man that she had a family with. On the other hand...
“No... as much as the kids and I would love to have him back, he’s had a long, full life and we had so many years together. I’ll keep his memory alive until I pass as well. Even then he’ll live on in the memories of our two kids, four grandkids, and great grandson.”
F.A.N.G, naturally, had made sure that everything had been taken care of for his funeral. He had even taken care of things for when something happens to Jess. He left behind a sizable sum of money to be divided between Jess, their two kids, the four grandchildren, and great grandson. The great grandson’s money has been set up in a high yield Trust that is to remain untouched until he turns eighteen.
Their two children are successful business owners and have gotten into the black market business like their father, using their businesses for legit means and Black Market means. The four grandchildren are almost done with college or have not been out of college too long and are learning the trade as well. F.A.N.G has made sure the two Jiang-Faultor children know his contacts and his contacts know them. The four grandchildren are slowly being introduced to said contacts as well.
It is during the following weeks that Jess, Althea, and Althea’s brother learn one rumor about F.A.N.G has been true. Some of the Shadaloo members spoke about his supposed surname. The only ones who know are Bison, Jess, her and F.A.N.G’s kids, grandchildren, and great grandson, F.A.N.G’s mother, uncle, grandmother, step-father, and half-sister. Some have taken it to their graves. Some Shadaloo members spoke of how F.A.N.G was related to Jiāng Qīng. Jess has found an old picture of F.A.N.G at two months of age being held by a woman that wasn’t his mom or grandmother. She looks on the back and reads the inscription.
1976年4月2日
江青, 江翔 (Jiang Qīng, Jiang Xiang)
Jess is quick to research. She chuckles upon seeing the results. She does some more research and finds out that Jiang Qīng is F.A.N.G’s great aunt.
“That sneaky devil... Even now, he’s still surprising me.”

When Jiang Qing took her place in the defendant's dock, Judge Zeng Hanzhou slapped the table and said sternly, "Jiang Qing, you are a criminal, you are defendant, you have to be afraid of us!" Jiang Qing was taken aback at first, but then shot back, "Afraid of you? You're afraid of me!" The two of them went back and forth arguing who was afraid of whom. Finally Jiang Qing laughed and said, "Ask Jiang Hua, who's sitting beside of you, whom I've ever been afraid of!"
