This is an insane thing for the New York Times to write. Every other outlet has referred to Jabaliya as a refugee camp (because it is!) and NYT won’t because there are no tents??? How low can you go jfc

One of the criticisms of Israel when it comes to getting its side of the story out to the world is that it is just too slow, allowing the terrorists and Israel-haters plenty of time to get their version of things out and presented before the world audience. Israel just does not react quickly enough.

Not this time.

Lahav Harkov addresses this in her article How Israel shot down false reports on Jabaliya explosion. Israel already started responding on the same day -- Saturday.

“We identified the potential for damage from this incident very quickly,” Head of the Public Diplomacy Directorate Lior Haiat said on Sunday. “We understood it could be a public diplomacy catastrophe that could lead to diplomatic harm that could change the direction of the campaign.” Within minutes, Haiat, IDF Spokesperson Ran Kohav, representatives of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), the Prime Minister’s Office and the Foreign Ministry discussed the incident. Defense officials were quickly able to determine not only that the IDF was not responsible, but that Islamic Jihad very clearly was. Haiat was able to coordinate a media plan with the others within an hour. [emphasis added]

Balance is often used as a tool of obfuscation when reporting on Israel, as coverage of the Jabaliya blast proves.

The situation worsens at the besieged Palestine Red Crescent ambulance dispatch center discussed here. PRCS reports that contact with the staff of the facility has been severed due to the IOF sabotage of telecommunications. However, other witnesses report a disturbing turn of events.

The IOF has now fully raided the ambulance dispatch center. They arrested all members of the medical and rescue teams, and have taken them to an undisclosed location. Within the center are still trapped many women and children, as IOF continue besieging the facility.

Israel bombed the Jabalia refugee camp for a third consecutive day just HOURS ago, but the target this time was a UNRWA- run school full of civilians.

They targeted a UN school.

The IOF attacked the hospital in the Jabaliya camp and burned the disabled people inside the tents in the courtyard alive. Then they shelled the hospital and shot anyone trying to get inside it. The injured had bled for hours with no treatment. They ran out of painkillers weeks ago.

They're still shelling the camp. Mossad and IOF social media claims they got a hundred Hamas militants to surrender, and shows a video of another hundred men stripped to their underwear. Most likely they were the most able-bodied civilians they could find.

Dear God dear God dear God.

This could have been prevented today. These maimed, helpless, terrified adults and children displaced several times over are being massacred because the US made sure of it. Those people too sick and mobility impaired to escape the tents burned to death inside them because Biden made sure they would.

The US will pay for this.
