Still away from home, Justice has come in from surfing to do his homework on the shore.

Since the teens departure, Daddy Trovinte has gone out to replenish the family's wood stores.

FroAnhke is starting a garden at the herbalist hut.

Assiduous, apprenticing with Popa Shocc, is solo journeying to collect materials.

And Pride is caring for the family dogs as apart of her tasks while apprenticing with Trovinte.

I got distracted midway through updating one rizzles fic to go write brainstorming notes for another today. Like literally left a chapter in preview mode and disappeared into a word doc. And on that note, I want to pose an open question.

I am incredibly curious as to whether there are specific pieces of art or culture that you imagine Maura or Constance seeing themselves in or better yet seeing each other in. I will also accept art Jane or Maura might see the other (or themself) in, but that's slightly less to the point.

I have a couple ideas already but I need more for what I'm planning next.

Not sure if you thought of this but are the animals organic or cybaranimal or alien? I really don't know lol, not sure if there will be beastformers or Predacons in that world. Since there are fur and all that Megatron wears.

They’re a mix of cybernetic and organic! Thorns and Thrones is a soft body au, so nothing exactly ‘transforms’ mechanically (mecha, techanimals, beastformers)

This AU does have mythical elements added to it as well! Transformations are totally on the table if you’re dealing w Sorcery, Curses, Demonic possession, or Changelings

The furs are absolutely from a variety of techanimals that exists in this world from cyberwolves down to cybercattle, mythical techbeasts exists too, but they’re rarer to come by nowadays. However, since the Allspark’s disappearance, it seems more and more that strange, dangerous creatures are showing up out of thin air.

The ancient Predacons were rumored to be nothing short of half-beast, as not many outside of their people shared the knowledge on how they could seamlessly communicate with and command anything from titanical serpents to dragons. The Predacons aren’t in the current timeline of the AU, but many speculate that the Dinobots tucked away in the unclaimed Isles are descendants of them!

Dinobot armor is highly sought after since it’s believed that the scales of fallen dragons have been passed down through those family lines. Trading for this impenetrable, fire proof, material rarely ever happens. It’s more common to negotiate a hefty hand-crafted weapon or brilliantly colored fabrics, the latter kudos to skills brought in by the Seekers who merged with the Dinobots, than it is the ever get your hands on scaled armor. Because of it’s rarity, Dinobots who venture out of the Isles frequently conceal their coveted armor in furs.

so crash course, furs, scales, hides, and teeth, some materials used more commonly than others, are techno organic materials used to create clothes and armor in this world outside of the usual metal ore!

#thorns and thrones au #asks #lore lore lore #yes you saw that right the seekers and Dinobots reside in the isles together since the seekers were banished from Autobot lands!#the Dinobots are isolated by choice for protection. space. and recourses from the sea! very solitary so it’s assumed that they don’t want to #be bothered. like ever.#which is definitely true but recluses can’t exactly grow their people and the seekers were cast out from rumors much like they were so the #merge was welcomed!#it took some warming up but #sharing protection and resources with the Dinobots so all it’s WELL. though trading since the merge is a bit more pricey since there’s an #ever increasing number of mouths to feed !#and yessss demons and creatures are borderline rampant since the disappearance of the allspark! the Council and High Priests claim it’s a #punishment from their Primus brought on by the greedy decepticons :// ah yes blame everything on the decepticons bc that totally solves #every single problem ever right #RIGHT??🙄🙄🙄🙄

in a way, wik was actually even MORE isolated than hunter was since he had to stay in the castle more due to his leg injury. was it because wik is a grimwalker of philip that he was better at seeing through his dad's BS?

It most likely was - it's a mixture of having a natural propensity of schemes meaning you see through other people's better and of the fact that by virtue of being in his company more because of the isolation, Wik had a better opportunity to know Belos than Hunter did

Trovinte and FroAnhke's chat turns to flirting and physical intimacy after realizing they've been left alone.

Between whispering sweet nothings they agree to meet at the double bed on the top floor.

While FroAnhke says her goodnights to her children, and then journeys to the agreed meeting place, Trovinte washes up and fetches extra wood to light the fire pits on the roof.

Then it's on to woo and woohoo, before the two sneak back downstairs.

There they climb into their own beds, before entering the land of nod with the rest of their family.

so the answer to “is isolated isles canon” is: pretty much yeah. there’s nothing really suggesting it shouldn’t be, it flows on perfectly smoothly from the end of the main story, etc.

the wrinkle with isolated isles isn’t so much “is it canon” but what it signifies. isolated isles being canon by itself doesn’t cause any problems. but isolated isles being canon also kind of, in turn, mandates that at least the chaos elfilis part of the ultimate cup z is canon too, which is where weirdness begins cropping up. arenas in general have never been canon and especially not true arenas, given that they’re almost entirely built on exmode characters themselves and almost always contain boss fights made up exclusively for said arenas.

chaos elfilis being canon is also, by itself, hardly a problem at all, but it’s overall a kind of awkward execution and raises questions about a bunch of other stuff. like what’s the deal with morpho now? isolated isles being in the “90% certain this is canon” bucket but chaos elfilis being in the “uhhhhhhh maybe???” bucket leaves poor morpho in a kind of quantum flux state lmao
