Advocating for the Visibility and Rights of Mobile Indigenous Peoples: The Dana+20 Manifesto (UNPFII Side Event).
This side event aims to amplify the voices of Mobile Indigenous Peoples and review the challenges faced by Mobile Indigenous Peoples to achieve rights, recognition and self-determination.
The side event will serve to disseminate the Dana+20 Manifesto of Mobile Peoples (2022) and will offer an opportunity to support the UN Special Rapporteur on the rights of Indigenous Peoples in his preparation for a thematic report on the situation of Mobile Indigenous Peoples to be submitted to the UN General Assembly in October 2024. This is a critical time to focus on the situation of Mobile Peoples, especially women and youth within these groups, and find avenues that affirm their rights and self-determination. The event will identify initiatives to recognize and respect the rights of Mobile Peoples including existing UN mechanisms, ILO instruments and their gaps.

I'm studying some international organizations and I thought it could be fun to do some short posts telling you guys about these.
Some could use them as flashcards if you're studying international relations. Some could use them to discuss their work or insert their rantings. Because let's be honest, the bureaucracy up there is not very accessible to the regular guy (aka someone who's not a nerd for these topics).
I don't know, the amount of effort I'm willing to put into this is considerable. It's gonna help me study, and better yet if someone wants to ask questions about these organizations. Some might be lighthearted like the 'International Maritime Organization' and others might be tougher like the UN's 'Security Council'.

Studied for my graduation exam which is in less than 2 weeks! Why can’t there be quiz banks for university subjects. It would help so much with subjects like econ. Maybe I should publish my own for profit.
Went back to revising my cover letter for internships. I don’t know how many times I’ve looked at this particular one. There’s always something wrong everytime I look at it. Tonight will be the last time I see it!

Harmonizing efforts for forest action by 2030, Strengthening the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (UNFF19 Side Event).
The Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF) is a voluntary partnership among 16 leading international organizations with substantial programmes on forests with the objectives of supporting the UN Forum on Forests (UNFF) and its Members, and enhancing cooperation and coordination on forest issues.
The main objectives of the event are to provide an opportunity for dialogue and exchange with the UNFF Members to consider the future work of the CPF, and pathways to strengthen CPF activities to best support Members' efforts in scaling up their actions to accelerate progress towards the Global Forest Goals and other forest-related goals and objectives.
The event will also provide a platform for UNFF Members, major groups, partners, and other stakeholders to reflect on their engagement, contribution and collaboration in the four focal areas of the CPF Joint Call to Action for Forests towards 2030: implementation and action; data, science, and innovation; finance for forests; and communication and awareness-raising.

The whole day was spent job hunting. I’ve been stuck on a cover letter for days because I feel like I am writing it wrong. I started another cover letter for another organization without submitting the previous one. Doing research on the organization takes just as much time as drafting the cover letter.
I thought of working in finance but decided to stick with international relations since it’s my true “passion”. So now I have nothing to show when I see attractive finance internships. But I think it’s also a sign that this is my true calling. Imagining working a commercial job at an office again disgusted me.
