I have a cute idea! Insomniac Peter and Miles with a Reader who's 15 (so like the age most spiders start their crime fighting) and because their so new to fighting they're a ball of sunshine, but unfortunately bad at smack talk? Like they'll be fighting someone and the criminal will give a hurtful insult and they'll just be all 'yeah? Well you're dumb! 😡'

Definitely didn't look up youtube video compilations of all their quips for fun of it after you made this request >D lol, also apologies for the delay. Word count:660

Being the Spider-Hero was the most rewarding and challenging experience you had ever faced in your 15 years of being on this planet. But your mentors Peter and Miles helped you learn and master your powers in no time at all. But the one thing that they didn't help you with... was smack talk.

It was one of the things that made Peter and Miles who they were and roll with the punches. Like today when they have gotten a tip-off of a potential hunter base. The three of you then swung into action.

"Morning fella's, who's ready for there fresh cup of bodily harm ??" Peter called out to them.

"Don't let the spiders escape !!" One hunter shouted and the fight began.

"Is really the best time to do smack talk ??" You told peter as you fought your group of hunters.

"It's pretty much a part of the job !!" You could tell he was smiling under his mask.

Miles was blaring out his own smack talk as well.

"If you guys tried this at a real job, you wouldn't need to be hunters"

You were so baffled but amazed at the same time how they could be able to do this and maintain focus into the fights.

When one hunter was facing you, you prepared for yours...

"You really think, That an incompetent child playing dress up can stop me ??!!" He readied his swords.

"Oh yeah... well... Your just dumb !!" You blurted out as the hunter then lunged at you.

Peter and Miles heard your quip and couldn't help but slightly cringe at that, You really needed some help with your quips and smack talk. So once you were done with dealing with the hunters, Peter and Miles then guided you to a nearby building and then took off their masks.

"What's wrong ??, did I not do good ??" You asked slightly concerned as you took off your mask.

"No no not at all, You did amazing y/n, Your training has paid off. It's just... Your smack talk maaaaay need some work." Peter told you.

"Oh... that..." You looked down embarrassingly.

"Hey It's ok" He smiled softly as he wrapped his arm around you. "Like anything Miles and I will help you."

"Yeah, Look sometimes I still have trouble with my smack talk even if I've done this for nearly a year" Miles pitched in.

"Ok... thank you guys" You smiled.

So over the next week, they began to help you with your smack talk, Slow and steadily they helped you go over different situations and picked perfect moments to bring it out

"Hey... I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye..., Is that good ??" You asked.

"Close... but you really gotta feel the passion and motivation when it comes with it." Miles helped you.

So even when you went home, you practised in the mirror your smack talk and got better and better over time, even coming up with some original lines of your own.

Until one day you were ready to show the two your amazing new quips and puns. You found another hunter base and one of the hunters recognised you and growled.

"After all this time, your still just an ignorant child" He snarled at you.

You smirked under your mask as he said that.

"True, but that's just apart of my charm isn't it ??"

Peter and Miles were surprised and happy when they heard that. Your practice really paid off. And as you continued to fight the hunters, you showed off your new vocabularies.

"You and the other spiders will be crushed by Kraven's hands !!!"

"Awww you can't fool me Mr gruff exterior I know ya love me, and I love ya too !!"

Peter and Miles were so proud of you, once they finished the fight, they congratulated you on graduating into a full Spider-Hero now !!, You couldn't be more proud of yourself.

Thinking about Peter's absolute cry of anguish after the final boss battle when he finds Harry unresponsive. Thinking about how all he can say is I'm sorry. Thinking about the fact that in Peter's head it was him at May's side sobbing I'm sorry. Thinking about how "with great power comes great responsibility" can never be separated from the guilt Peter feels. Thinking about how that guilt extends to May. How it extends to Ben. How it cripples Peter so much that he tells Miles that he can't do this again. Thinking about Peter's voice as he'd begged Harry to fight - pleaded with him to not make him do this. Thinking about how when consumed with the symbiote Peter had screeched out I'm the hero, I don't get saved! Thinking about how that's not just pride, how that's not just responsibility, how it's guilt. How it's always been Peter and the weight of the world, the life of his loved ones, and their blood on his hands. And now it's Harry's and Peter just breaks. OH MY... 💥💥💥💳💥💥💥💳💥💥💥💳 💥💥💥💳💥💥💥💳💥💥💥💳 YES !!!!. Word count:850

It's been 6 months since you became a spider person under Peter and Mile's guidance. Your life has never been this amazing, and you had these two amazing goofballs to thank.

Beyond that, you saw them beyond friendship, you saw them as... family, Brothers you never had. You would do absolutely anything for them.

Today was the anniversary when you started helping them so you decided to do something special for the both of them, Heading out as you then got cake ingredients and custom decorations. Heading back to your apartment beginning to bake the cake. Prepping an icing combination of red and white and black and red. The colours of their suits. Everything was going really well until you heard an explosion.

"Crap crap crap !!" Without thinking of the cake in the oven, you changed into your suit and swung to the location of the explosion, hopefully, it was just a gas leak, but your eyes went wide when you realised wasn't a gas leak. Some remaining symbiote minions were causing havoc in the streets, you needed to plant the sound bombs as quickly as possible.

You quickly planted the bombs as fast as you could and began to fight the symbiote minions, God why did they have to be so unpredictable, One was throwing venom bombs. Another had lighting speed, and then you had your hulking symbiote. You were quickly overwhelmed. You couldn't take a group of them like this. You were beginning to get consumed by the symbiotes until...

"Hey, don't start the party without us" a familiar voice said as he tossed a sound grenade at the symbiote group, quickly immobilizing them from the high range frequencies, scooping you out in the process.

"Thanks Pete" You said as you could see him smiling under his mask.

"I thought we got rid of all the nests ??" Miles joined in soon after, landing near you two.

"I thought so too, looks like we missed one. They destroyed the sound grenade too and it was my last one to destroy the nest." You sighed deeply annoyed.

"Hey, don't sweat it y/n, we have backups ready to go" Peter patted your back. Quickly crafting the grenades.

"You and I will distract them while Pete plants and guards the bombs ok y/n ??" Miles told you.

You nodded and you three jumped into action, fighting the symbiotes like a well-oiled machine. Y/n couldn't help but feel happy when you fought alongside them. They really were your brothers from another mother. Once after the bombs were set off, the nest was now destroyed and the people under venom's control were now free.

"Well done guys !!" You smiled as you fist bumped the two.

"Heck yeah, go team !!" Miles cheered.

"That was a piece of cake." Peter chimed in

"heck yeah, it was... cake... oh no !!!" You hurried back to your apartment.

"Y/n ??" Peter got worried and followed you, Miles followed suit as the three swung back to your apartment.

You could see smoke coming from the inside as you entered and coughed taking off your mask, Heading to the oven you opened it and more smoke filled your face.

"Woah woah what in the forest fire happened here ??" Peter tried to lighten up the situation as Miles opened up more windows to let the smoke out. "What happened, dude ??" Miles went and investigated what happened as you looked at your charcoal cake, With a massive face of disappointment.

"Hey... It's ok, I used to do this as well..." Peter tried to cheer you up

"No, it's not... This was meant to be special, This was meant to be for you guys." You sighed sadly.

"For us ??"

Miles then quickly put it together. "6 Months" He gently wrapped his arms around you.

"I'm sorry guys, I really wanted to surprise you..."

"Hey, come on. This is more than just a cake. This is about us, As a team. You pulled off so many things in 6 months y/n, We're really proud of how far you have come." Peter smiled taking off his mask.

As did Miles. "Exactly, We really care about you, man."

You couldn't help the happy tears rising as you brought the two into a bone-crushing hug. The two were a little shocked but never the less hugged you just as tight.

"You guys... You guys are like brothers to me" You softly said to them, causing their smiles to grow.

"We are like a found family cliche" Peter said causing you to giggle.

"But for real, We see you as family too y/n" Miles said as he broke the hug smiling at you.

Momentarily you were distracted as Peter got a grip on you and noogies your head.

"Peter !!" You laughed

"What, I'm not doing anything" He playfully smirked at you and kept going. With miles joining in on the fun and tickling your sides.

The whole afternoon was full of smiles and laughs. You couldn't be any happier to be anywhere else other than the company of your brothers.
