about to finish Spider Man 2 (the game) and i love this univerce. they understand the need for a comunity so deeply, and it does not feel like an empty promise, because their treatment of Miles's comunity puts Pete's lack of it, and his almost unsucsessful attempt at it with puting Harry into the mix, into the full focus
Miles actually manages to 'redeam' his enemy!! like Pete never did!! i have been begging for this since the uneccesery death of Phin!!
like, Pete's point of view is: if i secrefice enough of myself i'll manage to save the world, and Miles's attitude is: if i relay and gain strengh from the support of my comunity ill manage to save the world. and it shows!!! Miles is there to represent what Peter isn't!!
Peter was there to make sure Miles do the same mistakes as him, and now that he sees that Miles did learn, from Pete, from his mom and eveyone else, he feels inaducite, to the point where he agreed that he just needs to become better and to secrefice even more of himself to keep up.
but Peter, you are not less because someone else is there for you, you are MORE because of it. and im obsessed they actually deliverd to us on this, to the point where i am not even done with the game but i m incredibly happy with it

Man, today's question really reminded of how little interest Shidou seems to have in Amane as a person. He says he's frustrated that he doesn't have the time to "do something" about her, but even when she approached him, he didn't even try to reason with her or comfort her.
She tries to warn him that he's committing an unforgivable sin that will damn everybody, he's just like "Now, what could you be talking abooout? Anyways, just stop worrying about it and help me, okay?". And when she insists, his reply is "Ok, wow, you're so spoiled. Your parents must've been real soft on you until now, but that's not gonna fly with me, alright? I'm a responsible adult, I'm going to ignore you no matter how much of a brat you are"
He just dismissed Amane's very obvious mental breakdown as a mere temper tantrum, presuming that Amane doesn't truly care about anything she's espousing and that she's just trying to test boundaries. May I also point out how Shidou makes zero mention of Amane in his voice drama, either as a threat or as somebody who, like Fuuta and Mahiru, is in a precarious mental state?
And that casts a really different light on what "having the other adults deal with Amane" is supposed to mean. Is it really about making her more able to cope with the situation? Or just getting her out of the way? If it's about helping her, why does it matter so much that the adults do it?
Say, Muu and Haruka are in the best physical and mental shape out of everybody, and they have plenty of free time. Since Haruka says they're "sticking close" to Shidou, why doesn't he take a moment to suggest they should try to spend a little time with her, make her feel a bit better? Even if they can't convince her to change her mind, it'd at least useful to know in more detail what she's planning, right? After all, Shidou is willing to put his utmost ideal (dying to atone for his sins) on hold for the sake of the injured prisoners. Surely he must be very concerned about anything that could threaten their care, right?
Even if you take is as meaning "Well, the adults have the duty to care for the younger ones, so everyone under eighteen is exempt for responsibility", it's kind of really weird to put all the responsibility on three people having their own mental and physical breakdowns (Mahiru, Mikoto and Fuuta), one guy who said re:Amane that "we can't worry about that now" and "We'll just wait until the situation changes" last time Shidou spoke to him, and who's carrying the weight of being the only line of defense against Kotoko (Kazui) and one woman who's already taking mental care of Mahiru and also doesn't seem to want to have anything to do with anyone else (Yuno). Does a few years of age really give you that much more capability, such that it outweighs everything else going on?
So the fact that Shidou takes the trouble of specifying that an adult ought to help Amane really sounds like he's, at best, blinded by ideology. Only adults can help Amane because only adults are capable of taking meaningful action on anything, and only they have real ideological commitments that can beat a child's silly whims. At worst, Shidou is annoyed that Amane is threatening his worldview of "adults act, children obey", so he wants somebody to step in and bring her back into line. Of course, that person has to be an adult if they're to truly reinforce his perspective instead of opening a different kind of hole into it.
And this is hardly the first time he dismisses a child's thoughts on the basis of their age. In Molech, when Es tells him to treat them with respect as the warden, Shidou's answer is essentially "But we DO have a big age difference, so everything else is irrelevant. Let me pat your head to show how much I pity you, total stranger who's already annoyed at me for being condescending". At this point, either Shidou is being deliberately obnoxious or he's so thoroughly drunk his own kool-aid that it doesn't even register on the shallowest level when a kid tells him not to do something. Kids just go agoo-goo until they hit eighteen, yeah? No need to listen to their babbling.
And it's not just Shidou treating Es as both warden and child, he doesn't seem to have any respect for their ability to form their own opinion as a warden either. He literally goes "Hey, why go through the trouble of actually looking at evidence? Just take me at my word, way easier and faster". Even though by this point it's also obvious how much pride Es takes on being the guard and carrying out Milgram's mission, and that they don't necessarily trust Shidou. Again, either mockery or a frightful failure of basic pattern-recognition when the pattern doesn't match what Shidou expects from a child.
And to tie this back to Shidou's "my heart goes out to you" comment, sure, he's so concerned about any mental toll being the warden might take on Es… But he's still insisting on being murdered by them. Why? Surely Shidou of all people would know that murder can be hard on the killer. And if he wanted to die so badly, surely he can wait until Milgram is over and kill himself then, right? No need to make it Es' responsibility.
One of his last lines in the VD is "I feel sorry that you had to be given this role. And, I truly apologise for being so insistent about sentencing me to death as well… But, you’re perfect. You’ll give me the ending I’m most suited for." So apparently the thing is that being murdered by a child, specifically, would be very satisfying to Shidou, and Es' pain is secondary to that.
Kinda undermines all that talk about how tragic the situation is, doesn't it? In one of the app conversations, we see him being overwhelmed by sadness while grading Amane's homework, and he says "If everything about MILGRAM is true… why did a child like you have to become a murderer? Just imagining what sort of circumstances must have led to that, it makes me so sad…". But apparently his sadness isn't so strong that it'll stop him from setting up that sort of circumstances.
The only way this makes sense to me if it's he's subsumed Es' choices into his own so utterly that he can't imagine anybody, not even Es, could possibly hold them responsible if they did kill Shidou. It was simply suicide with Es acting as a tool for it, no more guilty than a bullet. I'm sure you can see how utterly dismissive this is of Es' autonomy.
TL;DR: I'm sure Shidou loves the idea of children, but so far he's been severely lacking in empathy for actual children when they deviate from his concept of how they ought to be or when their wellbeing comes in conflict with his ideals.

Day 4: Pride i wrote it on his shirt instead of the black text in the bg like I've done for the past days, since the space is surprisingly occupied Okay so i kinda went crazy with this one... If you wanna read my decisions and thoughts behind this thing feel free to read below the cut !
Anyways, Pride. Bon. Where the hell do i start. I see Bon as a very proud person, at least proud of his craft, at what he excels at, which is playing guitar. SO. Why is he so many colors and shit? Hes the colors of the people closest to him. Friends. Malva/Usagi is the blue, Mangle/Meg is the pink, Toddy's the red, Joys yellow, and Bonnie's purple. All the different colors and expressions represent what they sorta do to Bon? How they affect and influence him n shit... All with his pride at the center of it. Malva/Usagi. Shes his sister, his twin. They are directly compared what feels like constantly to Bon. He's specifically in his school uniform because school is where they show their true personalities most. Where they differ the most. Malva is organized, in control, plans thing out, is a natural leader, book smart. She's always 'on top of it' and mature. All things he feels he lacks/inst enough of. A point of shame and envy within him, at least in comparison to her. Same situation and she can somehow 'handle it all better'. Whether that's all true is a different matter lol. perception and reality am i right? Anyways onto Joy. Yellow. All the toys boost each-others egos and shit, but where Bon and Mangle are comfortable being brutally honest and blunt, but giving genuine compliments is sorta few and sparse, laced in their silly stupid sarcasm and fake hatred of each-other. Joy just says what she wants straight up. If the others are going off, she'll say it, if they're blowing it, she's gonna say it straight up. Shes always energized, and imbues the other two with that same energy. For Bon, Joy is someone who pushes that cocky side of him further out. Full of himself, thinking he's hot shit. (I mean thinking that isn't completely undeserved, hes impressive for his age n shit, but kid has an ego is hat I'm saying lol) She brings out his fiercer energy. She gasses him up, inflates his ego, and his pride gets the better of him and can turn kinda shitty and egotistical and mean ect ect Mangle/ Meg, lol. haha stupid stupid stupid decisions. They are both. very proud of their craft and Mangle is someone who has peen put through and continues dealing with a lot of pain. He pushes through it though. She pushes through her pain, through their days, through everything that's handed to him because she's determined to get through shit and not let things like constant aches and loss of balance hinder him. They'll do what they want and it doesn't matter what hurts. Bon. Was already a dumb-ass with that sorta mentality, but alongside mangle they both push each-others pride to being a detriment to their own health and safety. lol
Toddy. Toddy, Toddy, Toddy. Longtime family friend, has known that blue rabbit family since. ever. okay? Okay. She knows. She just knows what the fuck is up with their house and situation, she's seen Bon at his worst and helped him. Moments he'd rather not be aided, moments he'd rather not be seen. Moments of shame. Along with that shame of being seen, comes the discomfort and shame of being known. They know each other, they do, yet they feel like strangers at the same time. They can hang out and have fun, but they don't click in the same way Bon clicks with the Toys. There's a seed of shame in Bon that he cant be the good friend Toddy wants and needs. The friend she feels she had. The friend she feels she lost somewhere. Bonnie. Bonnie. End of sentence I cant do this anymore I cant fucking tackle that one i cant do it you cant make me- Okay what if you someone really pissed you off. Like super pissed you the fuck off. You have this one thing you're really good at, you have this one thing you you are GREAT at, you consider yourself unmatched. Then you get matched. Then you aren't an untouchable god at your craft. You're tumble down from your pedestal, you ego is more bruised than you can admit. Then he bugs you cause he think you're cool and can teach him shit. Even though you feel like you totally lost just by being matched, and part of you hates it cause he's a walking reminder that you aren't untouchable. but part of you likes it because someones fucking gawking at you and looking at you with admiration, directly. SO you fucking cave and do it and whoops oh shit you kinda vibe with this guy. Shit he likes Zelda. shit hes letting you use is switch cause you mentioned never having played any of the Zelda games even tho you've both been passionately ranting about the games for a while now. You became friends with the guy who irritates you good job doofus. Goodluck with the weird mix of friendship and resentment idiot. And the underlying romantic bullshit cause fuck you , fuck you royally. And scene. Killing Bon fnaf highschool my curse to carry. lololololol
Pride, Shame, People.

So apparently there was a Trigun Maximum videogame in development for the ps2 back in 2002 that was discontinued
heres all the information avalible about it on the Lost Media Archive!
Premiering in March 2002 at Sega's GameJam event, was a 20 second teaser trailer for an upcoming game based on the Trigun manga series, titled Trigun: The Planet Gunsmoke. The game was being developed for the PlayStation 2 by Red Entertainment, and was to be published by Sega, but for some reason, it was never released. No explanation has ever been given, with Sega issuing a "no comment" on the current status of the game. It is widely speculated that Red Entertainment's 2002 PlayStation 2 game Gungrave (which was released in Japan 4 months after that year's GameJam event) is actually a modified version of their Trigun game, following it's apparent cancellation, and there are similarities between the Trigun universe and the Gungrave game that seem to back this theory up (although it has never been confirmed nor denied by any of the game's developers).
"All that was released of the game was a 20-second long video trailer which featured no gameplay, only a cinematic."
The video trailer in question:
youtube
[video description: The first scene showed what looks like a steam locomotive against a red sky. The second scene animations of multiple unknown characters in silhouette in front of what looks like a map. Half of the map fades to blue sky where Vash the Stampede is standing with what looks like a full moon behind him. The final scene fades back into the map background and an unknown character with medium-length black hair wearing a black cowboy hat, a western-style grey vest over a long-sleeved white shirt, and a large mechanical left arm. This character throws a punch at the screen with the mechanical fist. The game's title then appears, ending the trailer. end video description]
(vd source)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
screencaps titled "Vash's appearance in the trailer." and "Unknown character."
Tumblr media
screencap simply titled "Steam locomotive?"
Most other sources seem to regurgitate the same information but if anyone has heard about it or have any other info id love to hear it!!!
Its a shame it never came into existence, but from what ive seen via google search, Gungave looks like it would have a simiar vibe, they're also visually identical so if you just squint and give wolfwood his tristamp concept design, Trigun ps2 third person shsooter game real :D!!!
And i guess it also confirms that the planets name is Gunsmoke.

that midjourney leak is remarkable to me in a very specific way. there is a huge amount of artists who have a wide array of styles on that list (hussie and the xkcd guy are on it!) and yet every single image that it produces looks like a sakimichan picture. bc the people who use it as a substitute for commissioning artists or learning to do art good think that specific aesthetic is the only "good" art style, so over the course of millions of billions of prompts the thing starts self selecting against literally all other styles in its internal list unless specifically told otherwise, so all its "artistic" outputs gradually start looking like undifferentiated shiny slop
it's almost fascinating. it also obv sucks donkey nuts in a big way that all these tech weirdos are falling over themselves to avoid just hiring artists to make art for them

i wasnt in my winter play so im coping by tell you all what i think jrwi pcs would do in a play/musical
riptide
chip - he always auditions and signs up for crew, its not really what he does that matters its that hes there (though he perfers being onstage) hes always been cast in bigger roles because hes really naturally charming and funny!! but when hes in the crew he does carps, and weather on cast or crew he helps paint whenever he can
jay - stange manger or head of costumes. easy. maybe she Was in costume but production kept asking her for help in her free time and was asked to be the stange manger. she takes her job very seriously and probably owns a stange manger shirt or hoodie
gillion - SOUND CREW! easy! hell listen to sound effects for hours picking the right ones and makes sure everyone mics are good and the cast loves him! he isnt head of sound but people have stared calling him "head of mics"
prime defenders
dakota- i dont think hed actually be in the show, but rather, the kid eveybody on the show knows. people around the school will always ask of hes in the show because hes friends with All of the cast and crew. director knows him and will sometimes let him stick around for rehearsals! and hes ALWAYS at the stage door lifting up his friends and spinning them around
william- lightning. nobody really knows him because hes always up at the spotlights bisides maybe sound crew to mess with lighting colors. theres only a few other poeple on lighting but that doesnt bother him because he likes to do things himself
vyncent- he signed up for crew and didnt pick a category? so it was kinda up to the crews where he went. most often hes at the props table making sure nobosy touches anything and making sure eveything is clear. when hes Not at the prop table hes a runner. "hey vyn, go grab the lead" "ooo vyncent do you think you can run up to sound and ask them about the effect there?" all that shit
ashe- he was only on one show but everybody loved him. he had a smaller role and he was super funny and made always the actors feel better! gave great pep talks and he was even invited to crew only events because of how well liked he was! they all wish he was in the show again
blood in the bayou
kian- obviously, the lead! he was the one all the newbies looked up to. he was a great actor and singer and he was really nice to eveyone even if he didnt really like them. when ever he was rehearsing in stage he was helping other with their lines and giving them advice
rolan- production! he made posters and walked all around town putting up signs and made sure to get people talking about the show. this is really were he really learned how to convise people of anything! when your convising the high school that that play nobodys ever hear of is actually good you can anvise anyone of anything. great in court
rand- head of carps and set. oh my god he Screams carps kid! he loves the power tools and the smell of wood. made him feel big n strong! he knew that the show wouldnt be anywhere as good without HIS set! he loved it so much hed forget that kian and rolan where also on the show
OKAY IM DONE. THANK U ALL FOR LISTENING TO ME MISS BEING ON STAGE!
