its a little funny how my dad kept being like "ooh ur gonna be so good at elden ring u were great at parrying the guardians in botw" and as it turns out.. im pretty decent at parrying in bloodborne!
#back in like 2017 i um. i learned how to parry botw guardian beams & perfect dodge lynels FOR FUN.#I SOUGHT THEM OUT#i would not rest until every guardian/lynel was dead and then following the next blood moon i did it AGAIN#like 12/13 year old me was INSANE.#my dad saw this. of course. pretty recently even because my stepbrother asked for help a few months ago (with master mode)#my dad. also. adores elden ring#and he kept saying it. yk. 'youd be so good at elden ring'#IM NOT. IM NOT GOOD AT ELDEN RING.#i only beat margit & godrick bc of the rotten stray ashes my stepmom got for me and got stuck at the WOLF.#parrying in bloodborne is so good#its so satisfying when u hear the noise & do the visceral#i havent put that much time into either of them but so far.. i like bloodborne more than elden ring#but maybe thats just margit's 3 year wind-ups giving er a bad rep right. ....right

Miquella was my top fave character instantaneously when the game aired aadbdhfb, I have a thing for what I call ethereal looking blonde bitches that may or may not be 100% saints, sometimes even a bit evil (not Miquella’s case for the evil part imo but who knows)

Made a new oc! His name is Von, son of Kyne, and guide of the fallen!
Von is a demi-god, son of Kyne, who watched over souls in Sovengarde and helps lead them to the Hall of Valor.
Obviously, being the son of Kyne, he always did know the thu'um and used it to aid warriors in Sovengarde.
However, all would change with Alduin. Von and Alduin have a long history of battles against one another. But it wasn't till the Nords of the Merethic era would fall quickly during their rebelion that the two's anger towards one another would come to a head.
Von would meet Alduin in the snowy fields of Skyrim, demanding Alduin to stop. This led to a large fight. For a while, it seemed the two to be evenly matched, but at one point, Alduin gained the advantage by bitting off Von's hand and shouting at him. Using a thu'um that caused Von to fall in a deep slumber.
As the years went by, Von laid in the snow, soon covered by the thickness and laying dormant in it for thousands of years.
Soon enough, he awoken. But all was not well, Von remembers nothing of who he once was except his name.
As a mess and not knowing where he was, Von began to wander Skyrim.
He started to take small, odd jobs to get by. These jobs would slowly begin to lead him to places where he started to meet others like him; lost, in their own ways.
Taliesin kept telling Von he should at least try to look more presentable.
Von just somewhat chuckled and asked, "What do you suggest?"
The Mer looks to Khash. "Khash, would you be so kind to get our friend's hair under control?"
The Argonian girl could barley contain her excitement!
While he knows nothing of who he once was (yet,) Von is happy with the life he's building so far.
Sadly, Alduin knows how to hold a grudge and longs to devor the rest of the demi-god who's flesh he tasted.

listening to dark souls design critiques works better than therapy, tried and true method I promise
#souls series is honestly a great example of how extremely high player tolerance is for bullshit design#elden ring is the#its kind of ridiculous honestly#the game is supposedly goty yet the moment you take the pink glasses off and cure your soulsborne rabies you wonder why anyone even bothers#to play it?#i think of this as a powerful reminder that you enjoy bad games even more than good ones sometimes#it is alarming that a gamedev studio has been unable to learn anything new or fix their own glaring mistakes for more than a decade though#oh well they seem to do better with armored core though I have not seen much about it#elden ring#i know im probably baiting soulsborne rabid fans into hate here but i need to share this and spread critical opinion and analysis

By the end he was calling atreus loki, did NOT trust angrboda (no matter how much i tried to convince him), was actively impersonating kratos irl, and lost his mind when thor died

The Elden riiiiiing, the Elden ring is reeeeallll
At last! My first Elden Ring fic (and first proper fic in years) exists and it's first chapter has been posted!
Malenia/Finlay fic that delves into the darkness of her rot and the love that may (or may not) save her life amidst a bloody campaign into the rotten lands of Caelid.
This one's for the sickos (Elden ring lore heads), the queers (Yuri defender, it gets gay) and everyone in between! Made a specific effort to keep the fic readable to people not familiar with the setting. Hope you enjoy!
