WEDDING BELLS YALL

and brainrot. I've been sketching these ideas out for like, a year. And done nothing with them until this point

this has been festering. in my mind.

*note: I didn't get around to drawing it, but I imagine Sun, Moon, and Y/n say their vows at the Bell place thingie that I need to reread in the fic. Y'know, the place Moon climbs up to, to get away from y/n. Yeh they declare their love up there and smoochies*

I should really reread that bit actually lol

Before moving forward, I'm gonna rant about outfits

this is the outfit that I base Sun and Moon's wedding look on because I just think it fits so well. I share this so you guys see the vision and forgive my inexperience with drawing these folds

Also, I went through several variations of what Y/n would wear before settling on this bc nothing that came up when I searched "gender neutral wedding gear" really fit

Wanted a mix between gown and suit and y'know this ended up being more suit but I like it a lot so we're going with that. It also came to me in a vision so that has to say something.

(Ok but I did envision Y/n having a dress similar to this one character's dress in Bad Guys but I couldn't draw it so I scrapped it)

(ok some details stayed but most of the concept had to go)

But all three of them are the criminal. masterminds. They planned this from the start. Holly and Chica HAD NO CHANCE after the role they played in getting Y/N AND SUN AND MOON together.

I think this video would also be something cute that I could see happening for their wedding lol

Anyway I still have a whole list of wedding shenanigans I need to draw

Sarah and Yao being some because when I tried before I couldn't sketch them out to my liking.

And the more CCRT gets expanded on, the more I'm sure will be present in their wedding since there are only 3 chapters out so far and enough art for me to make my guesses dlkkldsf

I'm sure there are plenty of fun things that can be included into this wedding, or edited, once more is revealed of the characters and their relationships

and who would be wedding guests is a little more up in the air, for instance and... who'd be able to show up in the first place considering unknown state of... living

I prommy these are one of last Trolls original species I'll make <3 I have one more but that's for a separate post (well technically I have another, but he's by himself and not a whole species)

FURBYS! It started with the concept sketch originally; this is Dove~ She's just a normal little Furby. Big nerd, probably works in a library?

But then I moved onto the actual lore-related ocs:

Royce + Dior So the original idea for these guys was a new villain-- this concept, if I ever turn it into a fic (I want to), is heavily mature.

Royce runs a club where he deals out drugs to all the patrons. The drugs are, not surprisingly, Trolls

Specifically, it's injecting or drinking Troll blood (cus if you can eat em whole and huff em I'm sure you can do it other ways)

That's actually why this exists: Juniper was lured in with the promise of drugs, Caspian went to find her.

Dior is one of the dancers for the club and they're kinda fucked up from overusing the blood (most of the time it's Royce enabling them and peer pressuring). Dior is also a 'plucked' Furby (meaning their body has little or no fur/feathers anymore; theirs specifically was self destructive and abuse)

No one who frequents the club knows exactly what the drug is made of. The only ones who know are Royce and his accomplice.

Dior does find out later and actually helps <3

Shyfade is finally here! I've been working on this one for a while, and I hope you guys like it! This is only pg. 1 and 2 of what I hope is going to be quite a long comic :3

Although - before i say anything else, I will clarify that the reason the clan is called "Successionclan" is because this was originally supposed to be a Lifegen run with Roman Roy from Succession, which kinda got outta hand (she's gonna show up later i prommy <33) and I've stuck to the name cause i find it funny :3

Also, warrior scerimonies are really weird when you think about it - the whole head kiss/shoulder lick thing just comes off as weird to me, because like - dude thats a kid?? also it very much gives off cult vibes. It was kinda hard to portray here, this is my first comic so I'm definitely still figuring things out, but the motion :(( had to scrap two panels that i really loved for this to make it flow better. Killing my darlings :(. But Shy's dicomfort with it was sooooo fun to explore!! It's almost theraputic? exploring my own religeous trauma through him lmao

I also have an irrational hatred for Sandstar (the brown cat) for some reason - me and Shy are united on that front lmao. Mskeing me a homophobic dog fr fr lmao.

Also shoutout to @chaotickitchenware ! If she didn't suggest I make this months ago it probably would never have happened, lmao, and she and @black-mass-things have massively helped me to make decisions with it, so big credits to them <3333

I ran out of space on the alt for the first page, hopefully its still legible tho 👍 let me know if there's anything I can improve on, cause I'm quite inexperienced with writing alts.

Clip Studio currently won't let me back into the actual file for the first page (I think it git corrupted ????) so I can't fix the spelling mistake that I just noticed in the fifth panel 😔😔😔 I also normally put progress vids here but i can't for the first page atm, I'll see if I can for the second page tho. (although I'll probably only add it later, I'm in a bit of a rush cause I gotta get ready to go somewhere and I dont have access to my puter at all rn 😔😔)

I'm really glad you enjoyed these! the translator is actually user 17979 on here, they've written some really good After God fanfics and are a good friend of mine! the other parts they've translated are: original: "His soul seemed to have left his body. I'll have you know I had about the same reaction to the "You are the story I started 50.000 years ago" line, it just brings up so many questions; VA's lore is scattered as it is and very little is given to us, so just dropping something like this in a convo I doubt a lot of people have read is so [vague hand gestures] it's quite late at night when I'm writing this so forgive any incomprehensibility: the line itself, combined with some others there ("It's tone was surprisingly laden with grief, as if it was lamenting a past that could not return") read to me as slightly contrary to VA being merely a Divine Key, it sounds like he has an amount of history in the PE; my personal idea that is pure unadulterated speculation is that VA might have started out as just a person who had something to do with the PE HoR? it would explain the fact that he repeatedly speaks to a "you" which is clearly not actually Joey in this convo and doesn't seem to be Welt Joyce either considering the 50k years thing, that is to say maybe VA even inherited the core (woo Welt paralel) of the PE HoR; considering that Vill-V does say that the Core of Reason is fucking weird [paraphrasing] and, at least if my memory is holding up, Welt did retreat into the Herrscher Core at least once to avoid dying, there's nothing saying VA couldn't have also pulled that and ended up getting his ass merged with that Fragment of Prommy and turned into the only DK we know to be sentient, I dunno I'm sleep deprived that being said the 3rd line I sent last time would imply that VA was also like not human if all of this happened... I'll just say he yoinked a body Orokapi style and call it a day cuz I think if I keep trying to get these thoughts down on paper they will actually become complete word vomit [thumbs up emoji] anyhow the ramble section ended up being longer than I intended... but the fact that we really know so little of his lore does make my brain go haywire, if they ever explain Void Archives' lore properly that'll probably all be disproven but it's what I came up with considering what we know (and I remember)

“There was no more gravity that bound him to the mortal world” I think this one is in reference to Void Archives likely using the Fenghuang Down… ouuu

I definitely think the PE Herrschers besides Elysia all being nothing more than the names of said Herrschers in the story is one of the things that blocks my road here. Me and a friend have theorised plenty of things about the PE HoR, but none can be confirmed, none are even implied!!! A character with such a nothingburger that you can just make shit up and no one could tell you yes or no. My favorite theory is that the PE HoR looked just like Otto, but a girl. Because it’s funny. But now I don’t know… I can’t sacrifice my integrity for humor… I think the idea of the person that used to be what later became Void Archives was a part of the HoR core is really interesting. It would take from the whole “artificial thing struggles with humanity”, because then they’d have already been human once, but at the same time it would be as if they were reclaiming their humanity which is also intriguing etc etc… it’s really interesting. I initially thought Void Archives’ sentience came from them being part Prometheus since she’s sentient too, but at the same time why would Vill-V merge them with her then..? Because Prometheus is an AI so she can handle the “ever expanding knowledge”? Don’t know… so much left in the air, most Void Archives lore we know is stitched together thanks to No.17 who hasn’t talked about them even once. Thank you for sharing!!! I’m having lots of thoughts…

cracks my fucking knuckles oh BABEY ok this is going under a read more because i know damn well this is gonna be multiple paragraphs long. Ty anon, michael afton is my favourite topic ever

Okay so, something important to note here is that even if I choose to ignore all of Dittophobia, my au still does have Sister Location occurring after FNAF 1 - Specifically late December, so like. A month after fnaf 1. It ALSO coincides with the fnaf 3 minigames that lead up to William's death. That's a longass discussion all in itself tho so I'll probably make a follow up post on that if requested

But! Post-Scoop Mike! During the time period of Ennard inhabiting his body he was essentially unconscious for the entire ordeal. Like. Yknow how majority of the ghosts are kinda lacking some level of awareness while in the suits? Yeah. Michael doesn't really remember it, but he still remembers the time passing, so it's not just. Like. Dying on the scooping room floor, then BAM! Alive on the sidewalk. It's sorta like. Yknow those movie/show/game cutscenes where everything's vague and blurry and slow-motion and the audio is funky. Like that

When he DID get his body back, for a few minutes it was sorta like. He was back to full awareness. Noticed he could see things, and that his limbs felt heavy, and that he could hear a mix of ringing and the "You won't die" line and flies buzzing around him. The sunlight felt too bright. You know when you take one of those naps that severely fucks you up, and because of that you wake up half-numb, dizzy, and disoriented? Now imagine that but a million times worse. He's in pain everywhere, his senses are readjusting, he knows he shouldn't be able to see or hear or speak but he can do those things anyway. And he can tell that despite it being a bright, sunny day, no one's coming to his aid. So he forces himself up and painfully stumbles home.

Now, well my timeline of events between SL and 3 is a bit vague, I do have the important stuff down. He gets home, and despite not having been allowed to contact his mom since late '86 (this is important and relevant guys i prommy) and having been told she was dead, he called her anyway. Long story short, one phone call later and also lots of general, messy emotional stuff, Michael. Left the state of Utah as a whole and went and lived with his mom over in California. Because of the whole being dead thing, he did kinda unfortunately sever ties with Jeremy and Henry (aka the only two living people left he even spoke to, besides William but he's a week dead by now), but like. He wasn't really sure how he could approach those situations. A guy who's lost a bunch of cognitive and motor abilities, and a man who fell into a deep depression after his daughter's death. Michael kinda saw telling them as like. I dont really have the word for it, but he saw abandonment as the better option. Figured it'd hurt them less

When it came to fitting into public, it was essentially the same as how he blends in during fnaf 6, just with MUCH darker clothes. He likely did hide away for a while, refusing to go outside, but started slowly readjusting. He didn’t make any bonds while there (unless his mom’s adoptive parents count), mostly keeping to himself. He worked, but it was always nightshift jobs where no one else would be around.

Luckily, his hygiene has gotten MUCH better! Due to being a rotten corpse, he tends to start smelling bad and being a general safety hazard rather quickly, so typically he’ll do a thorough shower in the morning, and then another quick shower at night, just to be safe. And also he wears perfume, to avoid a smell building up. Just to be safe.

About 10 years (ish. I picked a general number so I didn’t have to pinpoint exact timing) into his 30 year disappearance, his mom does unfortunately pass. Lung cancer, turns out smoking a shit ton out of grief is a bad idea. Better than the murders, probably. It was very much so a rough time for Mike, given being in and out of a hospital (bad memories from Evan’s death and Jeremy’s near-death kept him in a constant state of anxiety during this time, not to mention those events already made him plenty anxious, paranoid, and overall jumpy when in hospitals) and then the eventual death. That’s when his goal to hunt down his dad kinda went into full swing. Because, well, that last sorta tether just snapped, so now he’s far more goal oriented.

It was probably full of him following small leads. Contacting some distant relatives of his, contacting his father’s old business partners - he kinda tried to procrastinate going back to Utah (specifically Hurricane) for as long as possible. But then news about Fazbear Frights came around, and the return kiiiinda became inevitable. Because unfortunately, it was a damn good lead. Also, once again, Michael remains friendless in this time. Outside of any possible employers or the people he contacted, he hasn’t actually properly, freely spoken to anyone since his mom or grandparents. And he kinda cut ties with his grandparents out of guilt after his mom passed.

And Fazbear Frights is. Interesting! Because as he’s used to, he has to go in to meet his employer! But what he’s not used to is seeing his estranged kinda-cousin-kinda-brother whom he hasn’t seen since they were, like, 14. Aka Sammy. It’s an incredibly awkward experience all around, despite them both having somewhat similar goals. They agree to pretend not to know each other.

Work goes, well, as it pretty much does in game. Nothing special. Probably some panic and resurfacing trauma on night 2. Anyways the fire! That’s the important part!

As one would expect, Michael was quick to get out of the fire. Wasn’t exactly hard to set it - the place is old and dirty and fucking *moldy* - he just tossed a half-smoked cigarette at some loose oil or something and the bitch was ablaze.

William (slash springtrap but im just saying william for simplicity’s sake) caught him in one of the hallways. And had the fucking *audacity* to try and plead with Michael to help him out of the building. And the kicker is that if it weren’t for survival instincts kicking in and causing Michael to topple William over and crush Will’s arm with an arcade machine to keep him down long enough for a quick escape, it would’ve worked. Michael is. Uh. Very emotionally and mentally vulnerable.

A couple years pass after that, before a new Freddy’s place opens, needing someone to run it. Michael does have experience business-wise thanks to watching and learning from his dad as a kid, so it couldn’t be *that* hard, right? He applied under a fake name, got himself all disguised and whatnot, and headed in!

It did take a few minutes for the recognition to actually happen. But. Yeah it was a lil awkward. Considering Michael’s very silent and very sudden exit 32 years ago. Oh yeah also i have fnaf 6 taking place over more than just a week, stretches out from about 2025-2026. No specifics, just a general span of time. Feels more realistic to me, idk. I get the 1 week thing for gameplay/continuity reasons, but hey! This is just an au! I can do whatever shit I please!

And Iiii! Still need to actually flesh out the fnaf 6 stuff beyond my silly lil jokes. Uhh, I think majority of the stuff gets covered here? Feel free to ask further questions on anything, im more than happy to talk about it :-)

ok thanks so you ever heard of jackbox games. they make incredibly silly party games you can play with your phone. one of my faves is the fibbage series, specifically the most recent one fibbage 4

in fibbage you get a weird fact with an important word(s) blanked out. and every player has to write something to fill in that blank (that’s called a lie). then everyone picks what they think is the real answer (the truth). you get some points if someone falls for your lie, but more points if you find the truth

the main reason i like jackbox’s games so much is because of the voices in each game that narrate stuff like tutorials, prompts, etc. the fandom usually just refers to these guys as the Hosts of the games. some of them have official designs that appear sometimes throughout a game (m bubz in job job, rue meringue in roomerang, etc.)

others don’t have appearances Or official names (like the hosts of talking points, quixort & fixytext) and some More others, while not ever being seen, they do have names that they refer to themselves as. there’s schmitty from quiplash and lord tippet from weapons drawn

ok back to fibbage now the host of fibbage is part of the last category i listed, his full name is Cookie Masterson. he’s such a wild guy let me talk abt him for a moment. he has a niece named Lexical Semantics, his house is infested with bats, he once tried to drive down local real estate prices by dressing up as a ghost & the fandom has collectively agreed that he’s bisexual. those first three facts are from various voice lines that he has in fibbage 4. go try to look for them i dare you

fibbage 4 also has 5 special episodes with pre-decided questions (oh did i mention that the players take turns choosing the questions using random words relating to the questions? well in the special episodes they can still kinda “choose” the questions but every choice in one round leads to the same question. does this even make sense anymore i’m sorry) that relate to an over-arching storyline that each episode has, like there’s one where cookie’s on a date and hosting the game both at the same time, one relating to the bats infesting his house that i mentioned earlier, one where an ai clone of himself traps him in a closet and takes over the game for a bit. sorry for going on for too long i just really like sharing crazy shit i enjoy. anyways here’s a link to all 5 special episodes i have no idea if the embed will show or not

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Sometimes, but not often, and I post it even less often. I prefer reading it to writing it, but I do like tossing around ideas I'll never write about the characters' weird and intriguing kinks lmao

10. Do you write crossovers? I don't tend to, unless they're incredibly funny to me. Reading-wise, crossovers just annoy me because there's 2x the chances for mischaracterisation/misunderstanding of the setting(s), but sometimes a really good one can scratch my brain.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? not to my knowledge!

12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Not into another language, but I have had a podfic made of Cabin Fever -- which was great since it was a scriptfic anyway! It's really well made, go give it a listen!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Quite a few! Not in a while, but it's fun to work with someone whose brain ticks in synch with mine about a character or ship. I actually started dating my current partner in part because we were talking about a fic we wanted to write together! We'll get to it one day, and get sooo much hate about it it's quite fucked up LMAO

14. What’s your all time favorite ship? MAN. YOU CAN'T ASK ME THIS. it's like picking children. uhhh Shadowgast (Critical Role) is up there for All Timers but they are def not the only one. Probably the one I've thought most about, but now I'm thinking about Blupjeans (TAZ)... JMart.... augh. i love when people love each other despite the very terrible consequences

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? little blue pills! It's a fun concept -- I love fucking with the very rubbish trope of soulmate AUs and making them Weird and Queer, but I am not great at finishing projects and I have also cooled slightly on TMA since I started it.

16. What are your writing strengths? big emotions! being purple prose but like good about it! Weird People.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? It can be done well, but it needs to be considered deeply. Also, used sparingly. I like throwing in terms of endearment in other languages, but when it's whole conversations, it's not fun to be checking google translate/the AN every five seconds.

Getting my ass kicked by my body and feel like I'm getting stabbed everywhere all the time so uh so pardon me if this makes no sense but one time I came up with a new way to view the human psyche and it's development. I found it again. I have named it "Egg Brain" and...

I'll...think of a better name later, maybe.

Anyways here's how my idea works. Okay uh look at this egg first.

It's important I prommy :)

So the shell protects the egg right? And the albumin is the fluid filling the egg, and when an egg hatches there isn't much left. Instead you find a baby bird :) And then the yolk is, obv, the nutrients it needs to survive.

Okay so that's the human psyche in this theory. It's comparable to the egg because it has those three critical parts: protective shell, albumin where it grows, and yolk that perfectly meets its nutritional needs as it grows.

So the main idea is the three parts. I tried typing them but my brain hurts too bad to get them right so here's a screenshot from months ago.

So the yolk represents learning to exist as a corporeal being with needs and stimuli (physical and psychological, internal and external).

Albumin represents learning how to thrive when your needs are met and your stimuli are comprehended.

The shell represents learning to survive more independently, as a member of a community.

That seems kinda confusing to me right now, ngl, uhhh. Oh wait there's more notes! Okay. I think I understand.

Okay so :3

During the "Yolk" stage, the human (and it's psyche) are a baby. Babies are already highly equipped to identify and respond to stimuli (if they're uncomfortable or unhappy, they cry) but they also obviously have a LOT to learn (like understanding what about their present existence is uncomfortable or unhappy, AND learning how to respond to it, and even communicate it!)

The most important thing about the Yolk Stage is that development: learning to identify stimuli and respond. Learning what hunger feels like and learning how to eat. Not all babies are born knowing how to breast feed, even! And toddlers don't have the firmest grasp on "If I'm hungry, I need to grab the food with my hands and then place it in my mouth (and then REMOVE my hands from my mouth for sure) and then chew." Fortunately for that, babies are very good at trying to grab things and chew on them! They do try to figure it out and they do succeed! Have you ever seen a kid eat cake for the first time? Or a Popsicle? They're definitely learning as they go, even with something as basic as "eat."

There's a lot of things you can learn in the Yolk Stage! Some are concrete like "Oh, swallowing things makes this mysterious discomfort (hunger) go away," like I mentioned above. But crucially others are more social like "Oh, when I generate stimuli, others notice me." That one is REALLY important for me to mention, as someone who learned that Generating Stimuli = Other People Facilitate Suffering. It's important to learn how to communicate with the language you have at this age: volume of noise, movement speed and range, bodily functions, performing actions, etc. That's basic Yolk Stage stuff!

Learning things like dexterity, language, and even social cues and behavior regulation also begin here. Did you know that if one baby watches someone get scolded for something, the baby is less likely to do it? Such as grabbing a colorful object? Even before they can walk or talk? There's some fascinating studies on it! They're learning how to exist as sentient corporeal beings, but they're also learning how to interact with and exist within their larger community!

So! In summary of Yolk: Learning to interpret stimuli (internal or external; concrete or abstract; hunger, being scolded, being comforted, What The Fuck Is A Dog) and respond to it (eating, regulating behaviors, seeking comfort, How To Respond When A Dog Barks).

This connects PERFECTLY to the next stage: the Albumin Stage! So you know what hunger is, and know to cry/eat about it. What else is there to know?

You need to know when and how to be independent/dependent! For a simplified example, let's talk about foxes! For foxes, one of the big differences between the Yolk Stage and Albumin Stage is that the kits transition from "I am hungry and I will cry" to "I am hungry and I will go nurse," and eventually, "I am hungry and I will go find something to eat (and engage in play-hunting to practice!)"

For humans, even eating can be very complicated once you enter the Albumin Stage. Rather than having a bowl of cereal and milk fed to you, you now learn a lot of things: how to hold the spoon, how to not spill everywhere, how to pour the cereal and milk, etc. Rather than just crying when uncomfortable, you learn to communicate the discomfort of needing to use the bathroom, and to receive help tailored to your skill level. Obviously some of this stage is about "independence," but I want to draw attention to something else: the ability to learn when and how to be dependent is very important! Do you need to ask for help when you are sleepy? Can someone offer help or comfort, or is it just a matter of falling asleep?

I place a lot of importance on learning how to be dependent, because I struggle to be dependent to this day. Often times, I'm unsure if it's okay to ask for help, and struggle to actually ask even if I really need it. I also want to point out that this "Albumin Stage" learning behavior extends well beyond the Albumin Stage. I'll discuss how it exists in the Shell Stage later. For now, just be aware that this lesson in independence/dependence thrives in the Albumin Stage, when it's safe to experiment and make mistakes, when others are aware of your skill set and openly ready to accomodate it (and this can be true in the Shell Stage as well, but with more steps, as you will see!)

You might be wondering "If these occur in the Shell Stage, do they also extend into the Yolk Stage?" and they do! You can certainly argue that you learn to use a spoon during the Yolk Stage, for example. It's true, the Albumin Stage is not necessarily a discreet stage. At the edges of the Stages, it becomes harder to decide where to place things. That's fine. There isn't any point in perfectly defining it; just accept that the borders are gradients.

I will provide some paired examples of Albumin Stage development, pairing a more "instinctive" lesson with a more "complex" one: learning how to pick ripe fruit vs learning to find groceries in a store; learning how to express concern about a predator animal vs learning how to express concern about the family pet eating a sock; learning how to stir a bowl of ingredients vs learning what goes into the meal; learning to ask for a bandage for a small cut vs learning to apply it--even learning when its okay to help someone else if they're hurt vs needing to find someone with more experience.

This stage is inherently hard to confine to specific ages or activities. The Yolk Stage begins at birth. The Shell Stage goes on until death. The middle stage is unique enough to be categorized separately, but it doesn't have any obvious borders. The recognition of the absence of borders is crucial, because the human psyche is a complex thing that can't be cut up like meat and categorized based on muscle or fat, or behaviors or needs. If you try, you risk cutting off crucial components, and giving yourself an incomplete comprehension.

And now, the Shell Stage. This stage is important for one reason: it is the final stage, and it is lifelong, and it's "success" depends upon the previous stages. Without a yolk, an albumin cannot give rise to a chick. And the entire point of the shell is to protect the contents. Think of the Shell Stage as a person learning to use, protect, retain, and improve what they've learned previously.

Importantly, an empty shell isn't useless in this metaphor. It is not a hopeless thing. It is a symbol of hope, for it will protect whatever is inside, no matter how much the yolk or albumin have been struggling. The Shell Stage could be seen as the "competent adult," if the words "competent" and "adult" had any power to provide boundaries for the stage. This stage is hard to define, because it's the final stage, and there are no constraints to the abilities of the person who reaches the stage. You could even argue that it isn't a stage at all--just a method to protect the psyche and offer discrete borders from other people. I will offer this definition: the development of that discrete identity and capacity of self-preservation is the Shell Stage.

This stage makes most sense in relation to the others, so here are some examples of skills that develop during the progression of the stages:

About Dogs:

Yolk) A baby learns the shape and sound of a dog, and perhaps even learns to recognize that the family dog is safe and doesn't necessitate fear or crying.

Albumin) They learn how to tell someone when a stray dog is scaring them. They learn that their pet dog needs food and clean water. They learn how the dog communicates when it's scared, or happy, or needs to go outside. They learn how to comfort the dog with treats when it goes to its routine vet visits.

Shell) They have learned enough about dogs to recognize that a stray dog is struggling and needs help. They can take the dog to a vet, learn that it is a stray rather than someone's missing pet, and decide whether or not they have the desire or capability to adopt it.

About Hunger:

Yolk) A baby learns to cry when it is uncomfortable or unhappy. It learns to identify hunger and it learns to eat when hungry. Is it more innate to accept food or reject food? Idk :3

Albumin) They know how to identify hunger and ask for help. They learn the process of feeding themself (or others) such as manipulating tools, mixing ingredients, using heat sources as they learn to be responsible, etc. They can learn to help acquire food, but importantly, they have safely nets in place that protect them from inevitable mistakes and gaps in their experience.

Shell) They have acquired the skills needed to feed themselves (and others, inherently).

NOTE ABOUT ABLEISM:

Everyone has different abilities. Being a sentient, corporeal being means we are confined to our brains and bodies. Brains and bodies are complicated. They're durable, yet fragile. They're flexible, yet rigid. Wounds can heal, and wounds can linger. This entire Yolk-Albumin-Shell thing is made with this in mind, and can be used to analyze "flaws" in a person's abilities. This can be medical: as someone with fibromyalgia, I have a hard time detecting if pain is mild or severe. That's a skill that I should have, as I should have developed in during the Yolk Stage; but since I don't, you can assume that the impacts of it cause issues in the Albumin Stage and Shell Stage too.

The rest of the information about the Shell Stage is presented specifically in regards to NOT being an asshole about people with disabilities! So keep that in the front of your mind. It's the most important part of the Shell Stage.

I remember one time a coworker got "slightly" hurt. I helped them, and the whole time, I was confused because they seemed to be reacting very dramatically. I have a skewed sense of pain, and a skewed sense of "how serious is this injury, and how much pain is the other person experiences?" My own ability to recognize and respond to stimuli (like pain, which is learned in the Yolk Stage) influenced my ability to learn the proper responses to pain (and I tend to ignore it in myself; which is something I am unlearning, with great effort). It could have impacted my ability to help, but thankfully, I have some old first-aid training and knew how to determine if he needed more help than I could provide, and then how to help since it was within my capacity to do so.

So when there is a "flaw" in one of the stages, it's important to recognise it without adding extra feelings like guilt or shame. This is a skill, all by itself! Learning to recognize our flaws is a Yolk Stage event that many people aren't taught. It's harmful to learn to ignore our shortcomings, because we never learn the proper way to respond to them. We don't learn to ask for help. We don't get a chance to study how others help us. We don't learn how to help ourselves or others.

I don't even like the word "flaw," because it's so imbued with shame and guilt for me. I can't even type it without quotations, because it feels cruel use the word "flaw" when it causes so much discomfort and pain. Maybe there's a polite word for it.

Okay that's all! My head hurts too much to think anymore :) I wonder if any of that made sense. I might delete this whole thing when I'm not feeling sick. I might reread this and go "oh, dang, I wrote something without properly thinking about it. I don't hold the views I conveyed and will change/delete the text."

so my playlist 'ivaebhin. a boy filled with brightness.' is the playlist i created for songs about the relationship between my oc eden linnaeus and his childhood friend/first love, kader al-masri. as well as eden's relationship with the knight, who... well. we'll get there.

the name specifically refers to kader's favorite pet name for eden, the elvish word ivaebhin. and 'a boy filled with brightness' is the translation.

the vibe of the playlist is like... very doomed by the narrative. losing someone you love more than anything and realizing it may have been inevitable that it'd end that way. and i could talk about that more in his original story, but i've got bg3 brainrot, so i'll talk about how it applies there :3c details under the cut!

so in my bg3 au with these characters, eden died when he was 28, a few days after a very painful argument with kader that ended their friendship for good. the actual argument wasn't related, but the timing was... unfortunate. and losing kader pushed eden over the edge in a way nothing else had before.

i'm being vague about this on purpose i prommy- but kader blamed himself, and his life fell apart as he desperately tried to find a way to bring eden back, to make things right.

this obsession led kader down a dark path, and it ended with him being willingly infected with a mindflayer tadpole. and from there, kader al-masri ceased to be, replaced with a mindflayer called the knight.

but then... years later, eden came back. miraculously, he was alive again. and when the knight saw him, it felt something stir deep inside it, a strange aching longing. it's drawn to eden, and it wants to be around him for reasons it doesn't quite understand.

eden gets infected with a mindflayer tadpole as well, and the plot of bg3 starts picking up. and the knight, at first, is just another mindflayer seeking to kill the party, the ones standing against the hivemind, against the absolute and its power. but kader's spirit, wherever it may be inside the knight, is enough to pull the knight away from the hivemind. he wants to be around eden again, to apologize and beg for forgiveness.

and the knight decides to follow this urge in its chest.

SO BASICALLY yeah the knight and eden have a very weird, intense sort of tension between them, borne from the fact that the knight was created from kader. it's about the regret and the longing and the deep ache of realizing that you can never go back, not to the way things were.

also, to be clear, the knight is a different person from kader. and part of its arc is discovering its individuality--first from the hivemind it was created as part of, and then from the spirit of kader hanging over it. and its relationship with eden is a big part of that.

I was reminded I should post probably- Nothing sad or bad news! Longer delay on next update for "Crashed but not (all) Forgotten" as schools been a bit tough and I haven't had time to write- So I'm dropping art instead that fueled it some!

Once again I crawl out of the grave to post some of my Dragon Ball OCs and advertise my ToyHouse page! I try to make my fan characters fitting to what they're being made for, but I'll be honest I do like to shimmy things around in cannon simply because- I wanna have fun y'know?

First things first is my Saiyan Arlic, essentially a big feral man that I ship with Vegeta (They are happily married and I love them very much) - that kitty next to him is Mip, his companion (and who essentially raised him to some extent) - there's of course more found on his TH page! Next up is the Android Mido, created to be Cells "caretaker", especially in his cicada form, and then later on becomes a guide to help him navigate around Earth and earn more power. Once Cell reaches his Perfect form, Mido isn't needed, but Cell did in fact get a soft spot for him, and so they now act as his Fight Manager - every good tournament participant needs one of those right? Anyhoo, skipping around in his story, he ends up dating Yamcha and transitioning into more of a good guy! Y'know, the usual!

Last but not least is the shapeshifting thief Vinny (You'll never know what he's based off of, it's sooo hard to figure out I prommy). I mostly just made him for fun but I can't help but adore the lad. He's part of a family of criminals who all have an animal of choice they transform into when doing their dirty work, and Vinny chose that of a white rabbit!

Now with that, I hope to see the "no fun allowed" fans crawl from the depths to lecture me about.. who knows what

I'll have you know you're feeling self obsessed and extra cute and sexy and smart and funny and hot because you vampire sucked my self esteem away. But don't feel bad, I wasn't using it, because I am none of those things.

I'm technically more succubus adjacent than vampire adjacent, but also I will let you in on a little trade secret.

Being smart? it's not a thing that someone 'is' or 'isn't', intelligence as a concept is purely fictitious and built on cultural biases. the only thing you need to be smart is to have a topic you're interested in (literally anything) and let yourself indulge in it, and eventually maybe even work up the courage to talk about it.

Being funny? Everyone is funny. If you find that you're not making people laugh it's either because those people have a sense of humour different from yours and eventually you will find a group that lines up better, or you haven't built the confidence and rapport to crack a lot of jokes yet. no one is born funny or unfunny, it's a learned skill that by and large is in the eyes of the audience more so than in the hands of the person being funny

Being hot, sexy, cute, etc? personally I find that that can be the hardest one to get over and build confidence on but like. no one is ugly. and generally speaking it's probably more important to focus on body neutrality than going for an 'everyone is beautiful' angle, I recognize that, but honestly I also feel like it's super important to mention that there IS no quantifiable standard for beauty. The shitty western standard is already so narrow and disconnected from what anyone actually sees in the people they like, and it's made even more unattainable by shifting all over the place every couple of years. I guarantee that someone will look at you and be floored by how beautiful you are to them, if there isn't someone that does that already. Allowing yourself some self respect is basically the hottest thing you can do, and even when that's not possible, allowing yourself to know that you are worthy of respect and love regardless of how you feel about your body will do you a world of good

With that said, I have also felt like how you expressed to me, basically every cruel thing you can think of a person is something that I have though myself, and I also know that in all likelihood these words probably aren't going to really sink in or like, make you start being confident and kinder to yourself because there's not a single person on this planet that that would happen to. it's all growth and healing and it takes a lot of time. I also know that there's a high chance that everything I've said is something that you already know on a logical level but still can't catch up on emotionally, which probably makes this come across as a little annoying. But I'm not the only one that thinks this way, and you're going to hear all that again from others, and sooner or later it's gonna sink in whether you like it or not. I prommy.

im gonna answer all of these so i'll put it under the cut :)

Owen 23: How does envy manifest itself in them (they take what they want, they become resentful, etc)?

Owen by nature is not a very envious person, he grew up not having very much but was kind of resigned/accepting of this. But i think deep down he does become a bit resentful of those who have the things he wants (stable family, money, unconditional love and support), but he would never show those kinds of feelings to the person he envy was targeted at. Don't mistake that for him being a too good of a person though, he just doesn't want negative emotions to become between him and the people he's close to. He's selfish in that way, he would rather let sleeping dogs lie and not cause problems than potentially lose someone close to him over something so trivial as jealousy.

Annora 27: What causes them to feel dread?

Annora definetly has issues with control and therefore a lack of it. New environments terrify her, it's why she was so scared of going outside for so long, and her powers didn't make that lack of control any easier on her. I think to truly make her feel dread, it would be to put her in a situation with a bad outcome, that she could truly do nothing about. She tries to prepare for everything.

Abbi 26: What is their preferred mode of transportation?

she hasnt been exposed to very many as leaving the palace grounds hasn't really been on the table for her, but after some adventures her favourite way of getting around was on the backs of ... well i havent named the animal yet but its like if a wolf, a horse, and a dragon combined and became like a tamed beast. ill draw it one day i prommy LOL

Frith 5: How easy is it to earn their mistrust?

he doesn't really think for himself for a long time! he's loyal to the king, and the king tells him to do what Loreina says, and if Loreina says someone can't be trusted they cant, and if she says someone can be trusted they can. it takes a while for him to break out of this mindset... its not that he mistrusts people, just that he hasn't thought about it either way unless he's been told to.

Felix 12: How do they deal with an itch found in a place they can’t quite reach?

This man is goofy and silly, he will spend ages stretching and contorting trying to reach the itch and once he realise he cant get it he will throw himself at the nearest person and put on a soap opera worthy performance in order to get them to reach it for him. they usually give in.

Maria 16: What makes their stomach turn?

big league gambling :) and generally mistreatment towards children. she has quite the protective streak.

Leona 35: How do they treat the things their friends come to them excited about? Are they supportive?

she definetely pretends to be exasperated but always joins in on shenanigans. if its an interest her friends have, she'll act disinterested, but they always know better because she'll ask clarifying questions and bring up the thing later on to cheer them up or get them things related to it. but she DOESNT CARE!!! important you know that. definetely not. no way.

Loreina 14: What animal do they fear most?

She doesn't feel fear >:) animals fear her >:) ... not exactly an exaggeration but she does find the palace guard dogs pretty annoying. she doesnt like how mindlessly they follow orders, it freaks her out that an animal capable of ripping her throat out could be cowed so easily by the promise of a treat. nevermind that she basically has her own dog in the form of Frith :)
