#captain’s own#dumb bitch hours#I was briefly an agenda girl in college#and then stopped because I don’t really do anything outside of my 9-5 (9-6 technically)#BUT I’m going to Paris in two weeks for my birthday (my first time out of the US!!)#and I have my trip pretty well planned so it’s a good start for planner-ing#also hopefully once I move out I’ll have more of a social life#and I’ve been thinking about going to the local gay bar/restaurant after work sometimes?#just to be somewhere with gay people#because GOD I miss gay people

The fact that I’ve found someone to sublease over a week ago and contacted the landlords OVER A WEEK AGO about needing the application forms and they still haven’t given them to us… please they want to move in on June 1st and I also want that so I don’t have to pay rent by myself I hate landlords I hate them so much
#I emailed them asking for the forms since we ALL have to fill them out#and it took them THREE DAYS to answer with ‘oh just give us the subleaser’s info we’ll email it to her :)’#and I was like um. okay. don’t know why you won’t just send them to me but whatever#so I reply with their info#and they STILL have not contacted her and it’s been nearly a full week since that#I’m going to fucking scream#you have to send us one damn email#I already TALKED to them about this in person and they were like ‘oh yeah once you have a subleaser just tell us and we’ll email the forms’#BITCH THEN WHY ARENT YOU#and they’re fucking office hours are 10-5. I work 10-6:30….#and I’ve been having weekends off recently so I don’t have a day off to go talk to them about this again#AAAGGGHHHHH#I guess I’m gonna try calling them on one of my breaks today and just hope it goes quickly cuz idk what else to do#like bro your job is to sit on your ass and collect other people’s money#I know y’all are not so swamped you can’t answer a simple fucking email#I fucking hate landlords#this is so stressful#and I feel bad for the other person because like! this is not a good sign for somewhere you’re trying to move 😭😭😭😭#esp cuz I was like ‘oh they’re usually good at responding quickly’#because they HAVE been but fuck me I guess when it ACTUALLY matters its fucking crickets#kaz rambles

i need to bitch about my job for a minute in the tags
#ok so a senior role was made available in my team that i could’ve applied for#and there’s two of us in the team so. yknow pretty certain that one of us would get it#it was sort of replacing someone who left who handled a fucktonne of work across two other teams i work with#and ultimately i decided not to apply for the job because 1. the other guy on my team has been there two years longer than i have#and 2. my health is fucking precarious#mental and physical. i already work slightly reduced hours to try and manage my chronic fatigue but even then i have frequent crashes#and whenever my workload gets too much i just shut down. like the worst stress response ever#so my coworker got the job and a hefty pay rise and im like good for him :)#and then he went on leave for 6 weeks so i got handed 60% of his workload#and when you get handed people’s projects you get a good insight into how they work and how they coordinate shit/write documents etc#and not only are these projects a piece of piss compared to the aid programme stuff i’ve been doing#his actual work is like?? not great#i know i’m a perfectionist and i put way too much effort into my documents and reports but#there’s no way this guy is being paid $30k more for this!!#so now i’m like why didn’t i fucking interview for the senior role!!#i have this terrible impostor syndrome even though i’ve been there a year and get good feedback on my projects#part of it because i’m 22 and i am constantly like how the fuck am i here with an arts degree. i don’t know Anything#but shit man. if this guy’s mediocre work is worth a senior role#i have had a couple of job offers with a decent pay bump which is still wild to me. you want to pay me WHAT#<- well aware this is a great ‘problem’ to have#anyway i think i need a pay rise. we’ve just had a mass exodus from our team. i reckon if i threatened to leave they would lift my salary?#but i don’t know if i want to blackmail my manager lmao

it isn’t the end of the semester but i’m already having my end of the semester breakdown oh my GOD I am going to have a heart attack. sprite save me
#nothing is done!! not my applications not my interviews etc#I am running out of time to graduate in June and I could just graduate in august but then I have to admit to my family that I fucked up bad#it takes 3-6 weeks to get IRB approval I need to step on it#it’ll take at least 4 for my paid leave forms for work to go through and I don’t know if it’ll get approved#and if it does when do my benefits start#I feel like an idiot where those forms are concerned because it needs an occupation code and I don’t know if it’s specific#or if I can just select the one that best matches my job description and I can’t find that info anywhere#my body is literally shutting down I have two golf ball sized tumors and I can’t get out of bed but I can’t sleep#my car is kaputt and I have to call several different shops to get it seen because the one I took it to couldn’t fix it#and is any of it worth it!! is any of it!!#I cried for like three hours today bc I tried to talk to my mom about it and. well. she was very much a mom about it and not helpful#like yeah! obviously I want to graduate in June! but my research isn’t even approved because I haven’t been able to get myself#to complete the application for the last six months! Jesus Christ!#I can’t sleep and I’m so tired I’m so so tired my brain just straight up isn’t working!#I swear to god if I finally meet with my advisor and he does his well you don’t seem to need my help bullshit again#I’m gonna actually snap and kill him#anyway. need to do three things by end of Wednesday. just three things#clean. irb. and paid leave. that’s it that’s all.#it’s what I’ve tried to do the last four days and I’ve accomplished none of it but. #me crafting the food and the potions and the other stuff—#it’s not like I’m upset about it I just know my friend is gonna be all flustered about doing the prep when she made the prep sheet#all the way back in April#but I cannot clean out ur glamour dresser or buy ur ventures or clean out ur retainers#like u gotta do that urself#OR get all the crafting and gathering collectables to hoard#it’s like. per the spreadsheet we need 150 of these deserts#we need 1500 palm sugar#it takes 6 syrup to make 3 sugar#I will let u all do the math on that one#but I s2g at this point I’m not giving her any of my sugar bc I’ve been the one getting it#bc it’s like. I worked to get this sugar. you gotta get it yourself#I sent retainers on those ventures but I’ve also sat and gathered syrup for hours too#it’s the same w the other ingredients too like. I’ve been collecting this shit#it’s just kinda like.
