At long last, I'm excited to share my FULL piece for 'Behind the Mayhem Fanzine'!!!🥰 A callback of sorts to the very first Muppet film where Kermit and Fozzie run into the band at that old church; I always wanted their coffee shop to be a real place! (maybe even as another lil eatery destination in the Disney parks, like Rizzo's pizza place? get on it, theme park designers!)

Sunday Week In Review XIV
How's everyone doing? I skipped out on last week's update since it was a really slow week on all fronts for all the things for me last week. Things picked up a bit this week - but I'll be honest, I'm having a hard time finding my feet around here at the moment and finding a groove to get into.
Not sure if it's that time of year, a bit of a writing lull or what - but I've been a little meh, not in the sad sense - more like I'm a petulant child offered six different things and I turn my nose up at all of them because I don't know what I want lol.
Also trying to figure out a system for getting through my TBR list, right now it feels like it's out of control and there are only so many I can read in a week. Especially since I want to get through some of my physical TBR pile and dedicate a couple nights a week to offline reading.
Anyway, enough about me seemingly channelling Baby Truly™️ - on with the recap of the last two weeks!

Date night with Mr. Truly - we spent the entire two hours wondering what people do on dates aside from watching their phones and waiting for a call to say your kids are out of control and have taken over Nakatomi Plaza. But needless to say, we had fun, I even ate a meal without someone else's hand in it.

Hey, how are you doing? I hope you’re alright. 💕 I’ve been reading your status updates on Constellations and the Epilogue, and I just wanted to let you know that I think you’re amazing. Your writing is incredible and I love it. Your stories are so well thought out and the characters are ✨on point✨, and the plot is complex and detailed and aaahhh! It has me hooked! 🤩
And I understand how it hurts when you put so much effort and love into a story, only to post it and not see others be anywhere near as excited or invested as you are. I know how discouraging it can be. And it may be a little silly, but I do want to apologize for not commenting lately—life took some difficult turns for me healthwise around the end of last year and I haven’t been able to catch up! I’m still on Chapter 4 of Constellations! 😭 BUT Chapter 5 is open on my phone, and I am READY to read it as soon as I have the time (and mental energy, but that’s a whole ‘nother issue 😩). Don’t worry that your writing isn’t enough, or be discouraged if some readers don’t catch hints while others are figuring it all out seemingly too easily. Everybody reads and comprehends stuff differently, and it’s not a sign that your writing is bad if they don’t catch it! Honestly, I’m pretty bad at catching hints the first time I read a story unless they’re pretty darn obvious. I don’t usually notice subtle hints until the second, or third, or even seventh read-through, haha! (on the bright side, rereading stories and rewatching TV shows is always fun!) 😅
I guess what I really wanted to say is… don’t give up hope. Don’t lose your love and enthusiasm for your works, or feel like they aren’t worth writing because others don’t seem interested in them. At the heart of it all… at the end of the day… write because you love to. Because it makes you happy. And know that it doesn’t have to be “perfect”—the main goal should be that you enjoy it. That’s something I’m trying to teach myself, too. 💕

Please take your time reading; none of it is going anywhere, and don't feel obligated to leave comments either. i'm realizing that, even if chapters are short or long, finding the time to finish things is difficult, and everyone lives different lives. And I'm sorry about all the spoilers on this blog, I'll tag that better from now on.
But I really do think I got confused or disjointed in my perceptions; everyone here knows so much because i've been asked questions and given answers and people have interacted, so people following me here have more context than the average ao3 user. But I've kinda been expecting everyone to be on the same page, which will never be true.
I'm also the same way where it takes me a while to pick up on hints. I actually changed my writing style to prevent this. I got tired of reading books in college where you had to dive into every little thing. the hints and clues weren't obvious to me. I decided then that, when I wrote, I wanted things to be bold, obvious, but beautiful. I didn't want to make readers feel like they're missing something. I wanted them to trust that every answer, every clue would be answered in time. I made that promise to myself a decade ago, and being reminded of how different people interpret things just...made me remember.
I take writing really seriously, probably too seriously, but I've been doing it for so long and I love doing it. I want to be good at it. When it feels like I've gone back on that promise to myself, I get frustrated. I think of ways I could've fixed things. But I also remember that those books and those writing styles just weren't for me. I wasn't the target audience.
Sorry to go off on a tangent, but I wanted to explain why I got upset. I still love Constellations and I'm posting it on ao3 out of convenience, really. It's easier to reference and search there in one "Entire Work" than to have 5 documents open. The fact that others can see and read and have fun is a bonus. But I'm committed to telling this story, and I'm gonna finish with a bang.

Somehow we’re here, and I need to take a look around….
Well, guys, as Back To You draws closer to an end, (don’t worry, there’s still the sequels, it’s far from over - and we still have mayyyyybe 5 or so chapters left….) I’m starting to get a bit sad and nostalgic.
This has been such a journey. And while it isn’t goodbye goodbye, it’s still an end to a part of it, and it makes me sad. 😩
Looking back, I realized, this journey has been filled with people, more than anything else, and I wanted to take a moment to touch on that.
I know I’m going to forget people, and if I do, I am so sorry. Know that I DO remember you, I am just really horrible with names, truly.

this chapter was so!!! you did amazing job with it <3 slayed with the dialogues too by the way i loved every bit of it. i love how luthien and hurin are vibing and morwen and bere back in hithlum have at least 10 important conversations beforehand. but i'm also glad beren is making friends turin!! i sure hope his leithian swag nullifies the turin curse (though morgoth might not yet curse hurin and his bloodline so we're yet to see.)

aaahhhh thank you beloved so glad you enjoyed ❤️❤️ I’m very fond of this part but also scared that it isn’t working as it’s supposed to so this was v reassuring!
You only ever had to ask is one of THE most important lines anyone has ever said in tfs, although we haven’t been able to engage with it during the second arc because we had a detour to do Fëanorian Melodrama. But when I changed Huan’s last words – and had him say them to Celegorm instead of Beren – I knew they had to be Important and Significant. Notably, what he said was actually Son of Fëanor, you only ever had to ask. That was not a line addressed solely to Celegorm! It is also significant that both Lúthien and Thorondor expect Maglor and Fingon respectively to know what Huan said, and they’re both a little surprised that they don’t. Because the person who heard those words hasn’t really absorbed them, or related them to anyone. (Sorry long ramble on this but there was a lot of subtle behind-the-scenes stuff going on here and I was DYING for someone to ask about it.)
Anyway – don’t be too hard on Fingon or Maglor! If tfs is about the tricky path to salvation (and it is), then Fingon is not doing too badly. As Thorondor reminds him, he has asked for mercy before, and received it – and he does manage to do it again now, however grudgingly. As for Maglor, Lúthien’s advice was pretty cryptic, and he hasn’t yet had the opportunity to ask for anything. Word is out on whether he’ll be able to do it when his chance comes!
I’m so glad you liked all the little scenes anyway ❤️❤️ we will have more Beren and Morwen next part, it’s just that this one was very firmly set in Barad Eithel and I didn’t want to drift around too much. You cannot IMAGINE how excited I was to have my precious Maglor and Lúthien friendship back in play they are Important to me. And M&M my darling precious babies!!!! They didn’t have a scene in part 21 and I was like. this is unacceptable to me personally. Anyway look how traumatised and codependent they are I am obsessed with them.

HELLO I SURVIVED!! my voice is extremely fucked up from screaming and my legs hurt but i’m alive!! i feel like there’s so much stuff i need to ramble abt so i’m just gonna write a fuckin essay here lmao i’m so sorry 😭
ok so the stage looked SO cool in person. the backdrops were gorgeous <3 and everything was like a physical prop, not projections… including the giant replica of bubbles the dog <3 pete kept pretending to put his hand in its mouth and patrick was singing to it! and the pyro was insane, i could feel the heat from it and i was Not super close to the stage. they Also had a clock on the side of the stage that would go backwards every so often… like going back in time to play older songs 😭
UM?!?! THAT SETLIST?!?!?! ginasfs was NOT a possibility in my head at all, so that was absolutely insane, my god!!! everyone was like “???” after pete said they’d never played it live. and then it started and my brain literally blacked out. like my only thought was “there’s no way this is happening, what the FUCK”. that song is so important to me and honestly was one of the first ones i remember loving when i got into fob, so that was a whole moment!! if there’s a different song every time that’s so scary, i SO hope u get the song u want if that’s the case! <333
“don’t forget who left the light on 20 years ago” had me tearing up and then all the tttyg stuff… fob wants us all dead fr! and THEN HEAVEN IOWA?! AND HEADFIRST SLIDE?!?!?! i was HOLLERING the whole time, my throat still hurts 💀 and FAKE OUT OMG WHERE DO I EVEN START 😭 the pink lights worked and it looked so pretty!!! it took some ppl a minute to get theirs set up, so the stadium kinda gradually lit up more and more and by the middle of the song it was fully lit! i swear i saw the exact moment where patrick realized what was going on and he smiled so big <3 i teared up so hard (was trying not to cry bc i had glitter on my face lol… i kinda cried anyway) and then pete gave us a shoutout! i’m def keeping my seashell on like… my wall or smth <3
also the covers!! that first song patrick did at the piano is lake shore drive, it’s actually what he was playing in that tiktok of him in the studio back in like… february! (it’s the piano thing right after the clip of him playing trumpet) my mom recognized it when i was watching that video originally and asked why he was playing it, so i already knew the song… was Not expecting it live tho 🤯 and then don’t stop believing?!?! we were all v confused but excited lmao… and then crazy train a bit later 😅
and pete did baby annihilation!! honestly when i said he could do it and i’d cheer, i did NOT expect him to actually do it lmaoo… but he did and it was fantastic!! hold me like a grudge was also incredibly fun, it goes so hard live <3 shoutout to the ppl who were doing the clapping during the bridge w me lol
every time patrick started talking he’d go “hi” in this soft voice and i was just like “HIIIII 🥺” AND HE WORE DOC MARTENS!!! AAAA 💓 he was so sunshiny and just skipping around like usual <3
OH ALSO!! idk what the other venues on this tour are like, but wrigley has this thing above the stage where they have a couple different flags, and all except one of them were changed out to be the smiley face logo!! it reminded me of when they planted their flag in the lftos music video and i got emotional looking at it 😭 like. they did it!! and it’s so obvious they’re excited to be doing all this!! ur gonna have an absolute blast at your show for Sure!
(the openers were fucking amazing too, i totally didn’t process that tai was playing until literally right before they came onstage. and then they covered snakes on a plane and were like “iykyk” and i very nearly died lmao)

ohhhhh my god it sounds like it was such a fantastic like. incredibly special concert, i'm so happy for u!!! the setlist and the set itself literally blew my mind as i was watching a livestream of the show like????? my god they really pulled out ALLL the stops while also keeping the classics on there, really a setlist to please Everyone i think?? also w the set like. all the animatronic stuff and different backgrounds and everything. patrick was Not kidding when he said this show was visually different than anything they'd ever done before i am. SOOOO impressed. actually both by that and the stardust project, i remember something similar happened for mania tour and it was really pretty (kept my cutouts and still have them!!!) so im VERY glad it's happening this time for fake out <333 they deserve to see all of our love in every way possible <333
SO interesting that that's what he was playing on that tiktok omg he was practicing for so longggggg.... insane that ur show got a special lil piano mashup and then last night he did what a time to be alive.... so curious to see if its wattba forever now or if that's gonna be different each night Too!!!
and YEAHHH baby annihilation being on the setlist is making me soooo ;__; every time i think abt it im sooooo proud of pete for like. being confident enough to do That in front of thousands of people. also made me so happy to see patrick skipping around stage in his slay lil outfit like all four of them were SOOO happy u could tell i just. god i love them, they DID it they had their lil flag planted and played such a good show. last nights show was no doubt so good and special too from every video i've seen i just. i Know this tour is gonna be the tour of a lifetime, im SOOO excited for my show and also so glad urs was such a wonderful time and experience like u got so many special lil things!!! ginasfs and snakes on a plane etc!!!!!!!!! loved hearing all of this <33333

An Imperfect Perfection
-> Bakugo; After a Long Day; 1k.
TW: Very, very light angst, Fluff, Showers.
Bakugo get's in at precisely twenty-minutes to eleven.
He's almost six hours late. Dinner is long since cold and you're almost asleep, curled in one of his hoodies on the couch when he finally stumbles through the door. He hasn't even changed out of his hero uniform and tracks in dirt when he crosses the room holding one finger up to you when you sit up on the couch. You're not sure, but you think you saw his cheeks puffed out and bloated as he passed, his eyes ringed red and not black from the kohl he uses to blend his skin into his mask.
Shuffling, you sit up and wait patiently as you hear his bag hit the floor in your bathroom. There's some shuffling, a bang or two and then, the shower kicks into life.
That's your cue to move.
Slipping off of the sofa, you pad softly towards the bathroom and gently touch the door with your fingertips. It's been left open, the lock forgotten, allowing you to step in without knocking or disturbing him.
The bathroom is a mess. His bag lays abandoned in the corner, half-unzipped and the washing basket is overflowing leaving a trail of clothes haphazardly tossed on the floor. Steam wisps from the shower, the steady drumming of the water already hammering hard against the glass making the silhouette of Bakugo blur and warp. Stripping quietly, you pile your clothes on the toilet before stepping up to the shower and knocking gently on the door.
He doesn't answer. Instead, he steps back and pulls the shower head towards the wall allowing you to step in.
As soon as you're under the spray, the full extent of Bakugo's day makes itself known. He's got a cut running across his right cheekbone, the start of a black eye and his eyes are blood shot, but things only get worse when you look down. Even the few minutes he's already had under the water hasn't got rid of the soot and ash coating his forearms and neck, his shins too, are reddened and scorched.
Stepping close, you slip a hand onto his shoulder and cup the back of his neck encouraging his head down until you can press your forehead to his.
'Fire.' He croaks after a moment. His hands are shaking so he won't hold you just yet, but even just the small connection of your hand on his neck has his whole body beginning to let the day slip from him. 'Fuck... Everyone's okay, it was... I -.'
Moving slow, you press your other hand to his chest and cover his heart. It's hammering against his ribs, but slowing by the second, vibrating under your palm as you begin to breathe exaggeratedly for him to match.
'You're safe... You're home and you're safe.'
Nodding, he finally lets his hands reach for you. His palms cradle your waist, pulling you close until your chests press together and he can perch his chin atop your head. 'You're here.’
'Yeah.' Wrapping your arms around him in kind, you kiss the join in his shoulder. 'I've got you.'
For a moment, you stay like that, just running out the hot water and holding each other, letting the shower wash away all the evidence of the day. It isn't until you feel his heart begin to slow back to normal that you move. Reaching behind him, you pluck a shampoo bottle from the shelf and squeeze some out onto your hand.
''m sorry.' Bakugo stoops to let you lather his hair. 'I couldn't even make it home for our anniversary and -'
'No.' You tug soft at his ear before continuing to work the shampoo through his hair. 'You're a hero, Katsuki. I'm not going to get mad at you for doing your job and saving lives. You came back, you're here... That's all I need.'
His hands tighten on your waist. 'But -.'
'Nah-ah.'
Swallowing down his next response, he lets you move him under the spray and squeezes shut his eyes as you wash out his hair and start again with another round of shampoo. 'You're too good to me.' A chuckle rumbles in his throat as you fingers begin to work out the tension at the base of his skull.
'I'm as good as you deserve.' Taking a break from your scrubbing, you trail your finger down his nose leaving a trail of suds in your wake. 'And you should remember that.'
'I love you.'
'I know...' You smirk.
A grin splits his lip, eyes earning back a little of their shine as he watches your nose crinkle and your bow furrow with concentration when you return to his hair. Despite his aching body and tired mind, his entire being feels quiet as he waits for you to rinse his hair and start on the conditioner. You don't look at him again, don't speak as you make sure to keep the water out of his eyes and use the softer shower puff on his sore skin, but that doesn't stop him watching you. His chest expands, swollen with emotion as you finish up and bat away his hands when he tries to apply his own burn ointment after you're finally both clean and out of the shower.
'Are you hungry?' You cock your head, massaging in the last of the ointment on his legs.
Shaking his head, he stands and offers you his hand. 'Just want to go to bed with you.'
'Okay.' The bathroom is still a mess when you leave it in favour of climbing into bed, but none of that matters right now. Not when you're cuddled in tight with your head on Bakugo's chest as you listen to the now strong and steady thrumming of his heart. His fingers draw out soft shapes into your shoulder and periodically, his lips find your forehead to pepper you with kisses.
'Let me cook for you tomorrow...' He mumbles into your hair. 'I'll call in sick and we can just cuddle on the sofa and nap all day... Do today over again.'
Sinking deeper into his warmth, you twist just enough to press a soft kiss to his lips. 'Yeah, that sounds good.'
You smile and he swears he's never seen a more beautiful sight. Not all of your anniversaries go according to plan, but if you're there, in his arms, he can't say that each and every one of them isn't perfect.
Settling down, he squeezes you. 'Happy anniversary, Princess.'
Humming, you hold him back contented now in his arms. 'Happy anniversary, Katsuki.'

That had to be a bitch honestly. Since you had to be a parent in a young age you had less time for school and even less for personal time which everyone needs. That’s actually concerning since lots would get suspicious at this point. Then again if they intervened they mostly wouldn’t care why just the fact you kissed school and think you’re a trouble kid or something. Yeah it adds up since doing both really can put a burden and a heavy load on someone. Wish I could’ve done that because kids are mean as hell but man that must’ve been a lot of days. it’s been so long since i found approach shift and yet i’m still so amazed by it honestly that last chapter was SO good they way you’ve been portraying the characters so far is so incredible.. we didn’t get to see anything about how peter is feeling since the breakup yet i feel like i could easily see l exactly how he feels and find his struggles just in the way that jersey has been acting and her thoughts that’s how amazing of an author you are! i think i’ve praised your approach to gwen in this story before and i gotta admit your reveal of what had happened to her in the story was even better that i could have hoped for i feel like getting may to do it was such an amazing idea i’m just so excited to see what’s more to come 💓

Thank you!! My actual name I’m not as much of a fan of so I chose one I like a lot better for here :) Whenever I see it I’m like “hey, that’s me!!” haha!
To unwind, especially after school, I like to come home, eat a snack, and then read for a little while!! It really helps me get back into a better mindset if I’ve had a rough day and then it will be easier for me to focus on homework or making dinner :)
My favorite season is Autumn!! I love the temperature and the smells and all of the colors!! It’s also very fun to go on a hike and see all of the mountains with their colorful leaves!! When I went on a hike this year we didn’t run into many other people and it was so nice and calm :) My favorite weather is thunderstorms or snow because there’s something about thunderstorms that’s so amazing to me. As for snow we don’t get a lot where I live anymore due to climate change so it’s very exciting whenever there is snow !
My favorite games to play with friends and my cousins is Apples to Apples, Sorry, and Pictionary. Everyone is always laughing and having a good time even though we get very competitive in Sorry and Pictionary. There’s also a card game we play on my dads side of the family that’s name I am completely spacing but it’s very special to me because it’s associated with good memories of so many people that I love💕
Also, a bonus kind of funny thing for games: When I was 8 through 11 years old I was obsessed with Monopoly. I loved that game. However, I could never find anyone to play it with because it takes forever. I ended up playing games by myself with multiple pieces and different strategies for each piece. I memorized almost all the prices for properties and when I played Monopoly recently I realized I still remember all of those prices which I found to be kind of hilarious😂

Please tell me Hali, what was this? What have you done to me? This chapter was insane. I said I was really excited but honestly you just blew me away with this. I have so much to say while I am still processing what happened.
I had go back twice to get the first sentence. Throwing the readers in like that, wow. I love how it determines the vibe for the rest of the chapter.
I also wonder if Joon will rather sooner than later sense that oc is not the obedient Carved she wants to make everyone believe.
Can we talk about how both Jungkook and oc are ready to use everything that can be used to get want they want for the other? The complexity of this that you begin to explore with the growing attraction is really fascinating. I am just imagining what it means if the attraction grows. How it will conflict with everything they know til now. I am so so ready for this.
You said we would get to know more about Jungkook´s motivation why he is like he is. And you delivered wow. I found it pretty fascinating to see the parallels between Sariel and oc.
She manipulates him to think that he invaded her mind when in reality she has the upper hand. This is not where I want you. Queen, please, you are insane for this.
Is that screaming? It is. Realistic, isn't it? What must this woman have endured to make torture by Belial seem like a joke?
And this has to be my favorite part of this glorious chapter. You are beneath me in ways you cannot fathom. Ok, that's it. Can she take me with her? I am on my knees for her. I love her, can you tell?
She even makes Belial believe she is useless. Hello? I really need to see what she is able to do when she is not captured and carved. The world is not ready.
In a way this whole deal between them is to get to know more about his mother. But it's also a way to get to know something about himself. To get to know the side of him that has been neglected for so long. An only one person can give him the answers. Answers that will maybe change who he is. Maybe his mask will finally fall. Ahhh, I can't wait.
Btw I love the perspective change. I always find it even more thrilling when we get to see both sides of the story.
I need to know what her definition of freedom. I mentioned this before but I live for the mystery. You managed to build this up so nicely. It burns under my fingertips just to get to know her more.
Her mantra is journal worthy, just saying.

HI SORRY, IT TOOK A BIT TO ANSWER THIS – it was stuck between my Agust event requests! PLEASE I AM SO HAPPY THAT I BLEW YOU AWAY STOP KSJNADKJNAS.
I wanted that first sentence to be as unsettling as possible – I love when a chapter or a book starts a way that you’re not expecting to. I can think of a few books that start that way, but the one that comes to mind is Red Rising by Pierce Brown. It sets the tone for the rest of the chapter since you know … yeah no spoilers here hehe.
Joon is pretty intelligent in this fic, but you’ll start to notice that there is very much a unified ‘blind loyalty’ that happens between characters. Everyone is a little morally ambiguous and at the end of the day, Joon is Jungkook’s ally so if Jungkook doesn’t want to comment on something, Namjoon won’t ask.
I’m so happy that I decided to expand this story and write it at a slower pace than I originally intended to, because I think doing the attraction slower makes more sense to them – they really aren’t focused on romance, and like I’ve said before, it’s not a romantic story. I very much love the idea of two characters who grow feelings for one another but don’t but that emotion first. It’s going to make for some wild decisions, I can assure you.
Sariel and OC parallels will continue – the seraphim share so many experiences that OCs existence will sort of open up Sariel’s life to Jungkook, I think it’s really part of his attraction/need to let OC get away with things. She provides context he’s never had.
OC is insane for that… and in general, tbh. Now that she’s allowed to show her edge I cannot wait to show everyone just how unhinged she can be. She’s been pretty reserved up until this point, but this is also the Carved that slaughtered people in gladiatorial matches.
You will always find perspective change in this story – because of the nature of their situations and the un-aligned goals that they have, I feel like a perspective change is necessary to piece the puzzles together and I feel like it’s important for unreliable narrators 👀
