bakugou being shy while simultaneously being a hopeless romantic despite all the shoujo and romance he’s watched and consumed in media is exactly the reason why you initiated your first kiss together. when you break apart the kiss, his face is a mixture of shock, content and furrowed, annoyed brows.
when you ask him why he looks like that, he grumbles under his breath and you soon realise that he wanted to kiss you first!! and you can’t help but laugh at his expression, kissing it straight off his face and he can’t be mad for too long.

‘Hey,’ Yaz said sadly. She inhaled the Doctor’s smell, although every time they hugged, her friend smelled different: sometimes like solder or engine oil, sometimes like peppermint and beeswax and Earl Grey tea.”
The Good Doctor
Ascension of the Cybermen
Three things-
YAZ TALKING ABOUT WHAT THE DOCTOR SMELLS LIKE SHE IS SO IN LOVE🥺👩🏼❤️💋👩🏽
The Doctor, little functioning alcoholic that she is, carries around a bag of peppermint candies that get her drunk
Yaz noting the Doctor sometimes smells like peppermint is the equivalent of someone carrying around a bag of little vodka bottles, and the person that loves them thinking them smelling like orange juice is really sweet when really they’re just getting drunk on screwdrivers, and that is giving me allll the sad angsty headcanon right now

Hawke turning in the Starkhaven blood mages. the lingering shot on his face as he processes exactly what that means. going to Merrill’s house that night. talking with her, chatting, laughing. she’s the first mage he’s ever met, outside his family. the first true friend he made in Kirkwall (aveline is something, he wouldn’t really call her a friend. varric’s little more than a business partner, if he’s honest). and a blood mage herself
he doesn’t tell her what he did, earlier that very day. how could he? it didn’t even seem right at the time, but what else could he do, faced down with so many Templars as he was? defying them then would’ve been as good as handing himself over
he doesn’t tell Merrill what happened, but he does ask her about blood magic. how is it she can use it and still be, well, her? to consort with something so powerful and not be corrupted by it
so she tells him. blood magic is no different than any other magic, really, just wrought from a different source. it’s a tool, same as a hammer or a greatsword. and hammers and greatswords aren’t evil, are they? but people can be, and people can use them for evil. it’s the same with blood magic; it’s not evil, and it’s not using blood magic that makes people evil. it’s how they use it
and she shows him. the power in her blood, and in his blood, the way they can harness it to draw from a deeper well than mana alone. how natural it is, how gentle, in their own hands
Hawke heals the cuts on his arms and goes home that night. he doesn’t tell Carver what he and Merrill talked about. he doesn’t let Carver see what he can do, ever — he’ll never use it in the open, and certainly never in a fight. he’ll never summon a demon. no one but Merrill has to know
and he thinks, that night, of the mages from Starkhaven. of the way Decimus called forth the dead to protect his own. of Grace’s grief, and Karras’s threats. and he hopes they find mercy in Thrask’s care.

pitching a fit because no one is inviting me to be very smart on their podcast with all my perfect takes on jurassic park park such as quit calling it a theme park!! It’s a ZOO GUYS IT’S A BAD ZOO let me share all my zookeeper thoughts about it please, I know the line between theme park and zoo could be argued blurry but I just simply disagree on purely subjective reasons, it just feels like characterizing it as a theme park falls into the trap that the series does limply try to get you to understand but never with true proper conviction, in the conceit of the world these are living animals!! And they always get turned into monsters and calling the park a theme park and not a zoo contributes to the idea of these creatures as attractions, not animals!! let the dinosaurs be ANIMALS and let me talk about imagining theropod husbandry manuals!!!! Safe enclosure design!! PROPER positive reinforcement operant conditioning with dinos!! Y’all don’t understand how much we zookeepers still actively dunk on Prattkeeping, we have FEELINGS anyway I’m just yellin
