So the spending event is coming to an end and I wanted to share a bit of my lucky and unlucky moments, as well as how much were my savings worth.

Herrscher of Origin

I was incredibly lucky with her gears and got everything within 46 pulls with no doubles. Am incredibly happy with her and love her lots <3

EXPA Select

After I suffered the last time going all the way to the pity for her weapon AND DIDN'T EVEN GET IT, I just needed her fists and M, and Sushang turned around to me and gave me both back to back, and even gave one HoHE stig as a bonus. It wasn't the stig I'm missing, but now I just need any one of her stigs whenever she reruns.

Herrscher of Finality

Oh boy did I want her. I mean JUST LOOK AT HER. No actually don't look, y'all don't deserve her, I'm taking her all for myself.

And boy was she nice to me. Coming home in 30 pulls with 0 pity built prior. The best luck I've ever had with a character. Well, at least on main. I was planning to spend the rest of my pulls on her gears, and I didn't expect to get 4/4 but... I did not expect to get bullied so hard!

I mean 3/4 is all I've ever wanted, and I never got anything off rate... That being said, I got 5 COPIES OF HER WEAPON. F I V E. 5. Back to back, with nothing else in-between. I had to go to 8 pity for her T, just like back in the day with Sushang's gear. Except I didn't get any weapon on Sushang's. Arguably worse. So I guess.. That's still rather lucky?

Spending event

Finally got my HoF and the skin for her!! And I don't want to hear anything, I love this skin granted I just got it for free as a bonus to her. She deserves the world. (But only on Fridays.)

I spent the rest of my orbs on getting frags for Bella.

I love her dearly, but she hasn't been in supply since forever so spending events are likely my only chance.

I needed a few more pulls to get the last 45 orbs, but I had no chance to guarantee me anything, and I didn't want to waste pulls, so I thought, "hey why not pull for an elf?"

For a context, this was the first time ever I pulled for an elf. I didn't even know how the box looked like. I needed about 8 pulls. I did 5. And...

HUH??

To say I was speechless would be an understatement. I didn't even scream, I was so shocked. I was in a daze for a few minutes trying to process what just happened to me.

This heavily outweigh all the unlucky moments I had, making this spending event extremely lucky for my main.

As for my alt...

*sigh*

My alt outweigh all the luck I had on main, making it the most unlucky account in the entire global space.

I saved quite a bit of crystals for an f2p account, my hopes were so high! Pull Bronya N-EX TB, then pull for Sushang MB, then also pull any one Zhenyi, if I had anything left by then pull HoTr! And then at least one Senti's stig from Firepower. Of course I recognized that I had to be super lucky to get all of that, and was quite realistic with what I can actually get. But then...

...This happened.

I drained all my savings for one stig.

I tried to get T the next rotation of EXPA with nothing, and Zhenyi also didn't drop in 10 pulls.

I decided to sacrifice one of Zhenyi I had to make T just so it wouldn't drop from Firepower.

I limited possible drops from it to SSwords TM and Bronya N-EX TM, and out of them there was only one stig I didn't need! Everything else was going to be great for me! But you guessed it right.

I mean, yeah, not the end of the world. Next time it reruns I'll just need to pull whatever. And I will be able to get both Senti's stigs from BP. But that still was the worst that could've happened with a chance of 25%.

And to add to the pain, I wasn't even able to get an elf.

I will have to wait for the next spending event featuring Dudu elf. Sadly.

So, to summarize... This spending event was such a rollercoaster. Truly. I had the luckiest moments I've ever had along with the unluckiest anyone ever had. So I guess... it balanced itself out?

Now I'll be going back to the dreadful saving on both accs, but thankfully Ayaka's banner is around the corner to satisfy my gambling addiction <3

Finnish Vaschete AU.

Vesuri (a type of pruning knife/billhook) and Vaski (brass/copper/bronze) live in a big village somewhere inland, far away from the country's populous cities like Turku (Finland's oldest city and former capital located in the southwestern coast). The village priest, Vesuri, is trying his best to persuade the villagers to start farming potato, a high-yielding and nourishing crop, but people are reluctant to give up their turnips (one of Finland's most important staple foods up until 1800's when potato finally took over). Vaski is the son of a local lord of the manor (or maybe you'd call it bailiff? Or even jarl?) and is doing his best to get along with the villagers so that they would continue paying their taxes to the king and wouldn't turn against his dad.

Once again I have to shout into the void that Jiang Cheng was a sect leader and all of his actions and opinions reflected not only on himself but on the entirety of Yunmeng Jiang.

Which means that while Wei Wuxian was able to distance himself from his sect, Jiang Cheng never could so if he decideded to do something politically charged like take the side of Wen, the other sects would have a reason to attack his sect that was only just recovering from a massacre. Yes, that sounds like a responsible thing to do.

#and even then he was on Wei Wuxian's side right up until the moment that Jiang Yanli died #because once again the fall out between Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian was fake #jiang cheng didn't abandon Wei Wuxian he even tried very hard to include him in Yanli's wedding #if Wei Wuxian would've made it to Jin Ling's 100 day celebration it would've been the start of redeeming Wei Wuxian's reputation #but everything went to shit at Qiongqi Path #brought to you by 2 different post that talk about how Jiang Cheng was selfish and abandoned Wei Wuxian #Jiang Cheng #Mdzs #like this isn't to say that he did everything right but i absolutely think he did his best to do the right thing for his people

So uh guh here's my 2nd project for my Digital Imaging class wheeee. God I made Crowbar look too Irish here (weeps) but uaghhhh it's done!!! I drew the sillies!!!

The paper is 17 x 22 inches and glossy or something like that so the photo I took is kinda wonky since the lighting would reflect too much off of Snowy

Also my professor was like "I wouldn't trust this man, with his crowbar and that bouquet. She looks like she calls the shots though. What's that cone thing she's holding" and then I got to tell him some tidbits like how that's a lancet and then how Crowbar's name is exactly that and that he's the most sensical out of the group teehee and my professor just went "well he's probably knocking sense into the others! Literally!!"

four months into getting to know each other, shouto finds him by touya-nii's shrine. his little brother gently sits down beside him and offers a small prayer.

"yumi-nee-san," natsuo wonders if his little brother will ever drop the second honorific, "said you were the closest to him," shouto says quietly.

after all these years and the use of past tense still makes his heart break. 'you are the closest to him' he wants to correct but that wouldn't make sense anymore. touya-nii hasn't been talked about in the present tense since before middle school. does shouto even remember a time before nii-san's dea-, disappearance?

"yeah, i was," he says, eyes never leaving the photo. it's the one nii-san took for sixth-grade picture day. kaa-san had got him all dressed up and he had hated it. somedays he thinks if he looks close enough, he'll see the displeased pout on nii-san face. "why?"

his little brother says nothing for a long time, back ramrod straight. natsuo has no idea what's going on in that head of his. shouto has so few tells that he's practically a blank slate. natsuo hates his father.

then slowly and so quietly, he has to strain his ears to catch it, shouto stammers out, "do-, do you think he would have liked me?"

natsuo's immediate reaction is to say 'yes'. yes, of course, touya-nii would've loved you. yes, of course, touya-nii would've crossed the heavens for you. yes, of course, he would've loved you shouto; you're his precious younger brother.

but he remembers the way nii-san used to spit out shouto's name when he was a kid. the way his brother's mouth wrapped around it, the face he made, like he had just eaten something disgusting. he remembers the way touya-nii had become almost crazed by the end, hellbent on proving himself the rightful heir to their shitty father's legacy. he remembers the way touya-nii had said, "i just need to prove that i'm better than him,"; the 'him' said with such bitterness and contempt.

he knows instantly that touya-nii would not have liked shouto. that this house and his father would have twisted any ounce of love, nii-san would've held towards shouto, into jealousy and hatred.

(this house may have ruined all of them but it only ever broke two of them.)

natsuo can't say any of that to shouto. his kind little brother who forgave him for not being there. his amazing little brother who falls in love with every cat he sees. his wonderful little brother who has a wickedly dry sense of humor. his soft baby brother who loves him and yumi-nee with a passion. his tender-hearted baby brother who still worries if his long-gone older brother would've liked him.

no, natsuo can't tell shouto that nii-san wouldn't have like him. shouto will internalize it like he does with everything else that hurts him. and there is already so much that hurts shouto, he will not add to that list. his baby brother smiles these days, nothing big like his green-haired friend, but quiet, lovely, ones all the same. shouto talks more these days. they have dinner together when natsuo is home. his baby brother laughs now. it's a miracle like nothing else in this world.

shouto is the best thing to come out of their house and natsuo will die before he ever hurts his little brother. so instead, he curls an arm around shouto's shoulders and pulls him into a loose side-hug.

"of course!" he lies cheerfully, ignoring the ache in his chest, "touya-nii would've loved you. you're his — and our —precious little brother after all. there is no universe in which he wouldn't have loved you."

the tips of his baby brother's ears go red and his pleased little answering smile makes the ache of lie go away. natsuo will tell a thousand more lies if it means shouto never stops smiling like that.

Teeth Headcanons for Modern Warfare characters

As the winner of our first pole, we will be starting with everyone's not so, maybe sometimes favorite baby man...

Graves!

Yep. Graves was the braces kid. He just was.

At 13 his American ass was told by the dentist to go to the orthodontist. His mother dragged him there despite his protests and he was put in big metal brackets. (He had some normal crowding and a healthy underbite) Graves was awful at wearing his rubber bands, just awful and had braces for 3 years. Almost all his teen pictures have that metal smile on display.

Graves also was the type to not know what color brackets look good and constantly switched them around so half his photos not only have a metal smile but also have a candy-colored metal smile - Blue, green, yellow, and red all clashing on his teeth. (You know he did red white and blue at least twice)

His wisdom teeth were removed at 18 because his mouth is too small for them. His mother made a video of him on the anesthetic drugs as he says all sorts of things. He definitely cried a few times. Graves swears the video has never seen the light of day - he’s wrong and his shadows can prove it. Mercenaries can always find a way.

After getting his braces off, Graves never truly wore his retainer. He lost it within the first year he was prescribed it and never let his family replace it.

Today, It shows in his teeth. Their crookedness and original setup has all but fully returned. Graves has genetically yellow teeth (fig 1) and they're going to be that color even though he brushes them 13/14 times he’s supposed to. (this success is mainly because his shadows will comment if his breath stinks.) lastly, Graves does not floss and refuses to with the conviction of a man with toxic masculinity.

NOT LASTLY I just rewatched some graves scenes on confirm his underbite and not only is it *really there* its there because he is shoving his jaw up and out like he’s chewing tobacco (fig 2 & 3). Which made me realize… this bitch probably chews tobacco! So put dozens of cavities, worn away enamel, and early tooth loss on your Graves bingo cards! Figures under the cut

One thing that I'm afraid about for the next Zelda game is that nintendo is clearly going down the botw route for future titles. I loved botw and totk, but to me these two games HIGHLY prioritized gameplay rather than story. Ocarina of time created a formula for its future zelda titles that in my eyes prioritized story over gameplay (now the quality of the stories could be debated aksjdbakbd)

Overall i just hope the zelda team finds a REALLY good balance between the two

#totk's story WAS better told than botw #but....i did sort of enjoys botw's story more simply because of the story building #that totk really lacked #example: it was fun to imagine the shit that happened 100 years ago #rather than zelda's time in the past with the Zonai #and i will forever say the mystery of the Zonai was really killed off. I loved Rauru and Mineru but i feel like....#the story would've been the same if they weren't Zonai and we just hylians #you know what i mean?#anyways #is this a rant? kind of #pre-calamity era had sOOO much tension and emotions that I loved thinking about #zonai era....kinda didn't #it attempted to but i couldn't really connect #i wish there was a scene between ganondorf talking to zelda just so she could be like “holy shit uh this is dangerous.....”#OKAY RANT OVER NOW FR #Sorry for sooo many long posts today #a lot of my mind #zelda #totk #botw #loz

#thank you for noticing!#I try to consider real dog body language whenever I'm drawing them in their quadrupedal feral forms #when a dog sleeps tightly curled it can mean they're cold or don't feel 100% safe in their environment #and are protecting the more vulnerable parts of their body #in that recent piece Vasco is more stretched out but he's still not fully relaxed #he's lying with his paws under him so that he can jump up at a moment's notice if he has to #if he was asleep he probably would've rolled on his side and splayed out his legs a bit more #or done a proper sploot even #you can see this in their anthro forms as well #Machete's body language is typically closed defensive and tense #whereas Vasco tends to look more comfortable in his skin and takes up space freely #answered #anonymous #I've yet to draw Machete doing the classic sighthound roaching pose where they sleep on their back with legs pointing up #probably not a common occurrence but it has to happen at least once in a while

stumbled across this old pre-s5 post and it got me thinking about the differences between Claudia/Terry and Callum/Rayla in S5 specifically in regards to the "let's save your parents" angle

Now some of this on the surface difference is because all Claudia cares about is keeping her father alive and saving him ("That's the only thing that matters - keep moving!") whereas Rayla routinely puts her family on the back burner ("But I can't help you yet" / "Not yet, Callum") but like

Terry and Callum each prioritize their partner's needs. For Terry, that means putting Claudia above Viren ("Everyone needs rest, especially you") and then on the same level (finding a way for her to rest and for them to keep moving at the same time). For Callum, it means prioritizing Rayla's parents and what she wants even when she's telling him not to (5x04) even though it leads to more disastrous consequences because he doesn't have an 'off' switch.
