🌥️ Rainbow Factory Infection AU🌥️

Hello everypony!! Ive been loving the infection stuff and wanted to jump onto the trend myself with an AU that came to me very suddenly. I'm gonna try and get all my thoughts out here:

☁️ Scootaloo fails her flying assessment by getting disqualified for checking on her injured friend who had crashed during their turn. The two of them get taken to the Rainbow Factory as a punishment for their failure, and quickly realize the deadly situation they're in.

🌈 There are few dozen pegasi there already. All of their wings have been torn off of them, their cutiemarks are branded over, and chains are fastened around either their legs or neck. They all seem so... dull. As if the color has been stolen from them.

☁️ Rainbow Dash enters to examine the new sacrifices, and is mortified when she sees Scootaloo. She had trained her every day to prevent this from happening; she never wanted the pony she thought of as a little sister to end up here. Dash had to quickly decide if she was more loyal to her career, or to her friends.

🌈 She chooses Scootaloo. This does not go over well. Whether you enter the Rainbow Factory as a prisoner or an employee, you were not allowed to leave until you died. Rainbow Dash grabs Scootaloo and attempts to flee with her.

☁️ A chase ensues. She realizes that even if they do escape, they wouldn't be free. They would be hunted for as long as the factory existed. The answer suddenly seems obvious. Dash veers away from the exit and heads deeper into the building, straight for the core.

🌈 Because of her high status in the company (and a lot of kicking), Rainbow Dash gets into the restricted access room and corrupts the core, sparking a reactor meltdown. Her and Scootaloo manage to escape seconds before the core collapses, and the Rainbow Factory is lost to the rainbows it created.

☁️ Not long after, ponies begin to emerge from the ruins. Well, they seem to still be ponies. Mostly ponies. The Inital Victims. The pegasi who had been deemed useless and dispensable in one way or another, and had been put through torture for weeks or months in order to drain them of their very magic and soul.

🌈 The Victims seem to have a symbiotic relationship with the Rainbow Infection in their body. They live just out of reach of death; gaunt and hollow, yet somehow surviving. Blind, weak, and terrified, they seem to believe they're still trapped in the factory, and will viciously maul any living being they sense with a newfound strength. So far, they don't seem to be curable, or killable.

☁️ The Infected pegasi have a much more unpleasant experience. Every waking moment is nothing but agony as the infection consumes their magic and feast on their vessel, reducing them to nothing more than another fluffy white cloud looming in the sky.

🌈 The Infected aren't hostile, and seem to still be lucid up until their death. However, they are incredibly contagious, and the final stage of the infection seems to be designed specifically to further the disease.

☁️ Unicorns and Earth ponies are completely immune to the Rainbow Infection. Alicorns are not. The princess's have been barricaded in Celestia's castle to protect them all.

🌈 Without any pegasi to moderate the weather, it has become increasingly unpredictable and harsh, making typical farm work almost impossible. The Survivors are getting low on rations, and they're getting desperate and hungry.

I think thats about it. Idk at the time of writing this its 3am lol.

Pie's family redesigns + Family tree

Maud "Slate" Pie + Mudbriar "Walnut"

Maud "Slate" Pie I've kept Maud mostly the same all over, her pallet and color scheme are already good in my taste. She now has spots to match Pinkie but also as a hint to her special talent, as I wanted it to look like an opened geode. I didn't like that her cutie mark was only just a rock, it didn't say a single thing about her special talent. Now it says a bit more, showing off that she can find true beauty under what others might just see as a rock.

She wears her normal dress, as I didn't see a reason to change it. I've however added a small bracelet, which has different beads, to represent her sisters. As she might not show or say it much but she loves them all dearly.

Mudbriar "Walnut" I've darkened his pallet a little, more so his overall design didn't end up too light or dark. I've given him cloven hooves and a long tail, as I see him from a family of mixed unicorn and earth ponies. His markings are like branches/roots of trees, showing his connection to the trees. Same story for his cutie mark as Maud's, it was too simple for what his special talent is. So I've added a book but it's standing by its opening, as a small hint to tents, as he travels to examine trees, learning about as many as he can and writing it down for others to read.

Mudbriar now wears a travel backpack, which is for his travels. He doesn't wear much else, as he doesn't see the need to.

Gilda "Glory" + "Shady" Limestone Pie

Gilda"Glory" I've darkened her whole pallet and added some markings. As she's a mountain lion + tiger in this AU. Her design hasn't been changed much, I've added some jewelry but not much else.

"Shady"Limestone Pie Limestone's pallet is mostly the same, its his patterns that darken his look. Lime is trans in my AU, as his anger issues were caused by him not feeling whole/as he should be. His cutie mark has been changed to a broken opened geode, with lime-green stone, which resembles a lime.

He has a few pricings and wears a his band's t-shirt, which says ROAD KILL, Gilda also has one but she mostly wears it to his concerts, showing her support.

Trouble Shoes + Marble "Droplet" Pie

Trouble Shoes I've made Trouble Shoes slightly darker and added a few lighter strips to his mane and tail. He also now has a beard, which to those who don't know him, makes him look even more scary than before. For his cutie mark I wanted something more than just "bad luck". He of course still struggled to find out what he was meant to do, as he thought the clown nose and wig was some cruel joke the world did to him.

As for his clothing, I went with a nice jacket, kept his hat and his weeding ring.

Marble"Droplet"Pie Marble's pallet has mostly stayed the same, only receiving slight changes and the usual markings that come along with my redesigns. Her cutie mark now shows off how well she makes jewelry with the beautiful gems they find in Appleloosa. To me, her cutie mark never told a single thing about what she was to do, it said marble but what else? So now, she's a crystal collector and seller.

The clothing she wears is a simple shawl, her weeding ring, a few earrings, a few flowers from her middle oldest son, a sun anklet to represent her oldest son and a small bat wing hair tie to represent her youngest son.

I haven't come across a tf2 MLP crossover yet so I made my own

Edit: folks keep asking me how I haven't come across a crossover yet and I'll be 100% honest I don't know . I've only seen the 500k word fic and that's it :(

Now I am going to explain my design choices for each one so it makes more sense

Pyro: they're a dragon/unicorn hybrid, since I think making them the strangest looking of the group adds to their already mysterious character

Engineer: he's able to carry tons of equipment around without breaking a sweat so I felt like making him an earth pony fit him and his physique

Scout: I colored him similarly to BONK! to make him stand out and appear really bold. Much like his personality

Heavy: I gave him a colder tone to better represent how he seems on the outside. Also, I replaced the fist on his emblem with a horseshoe to better fit the pony theme

Medic: Very monotone in appearance, to give him a cold and almost sterile look. His tail is a bit messy to add to his eccentric design

Soldier: I made him blue because how can I not make him red white and blue. I made him a pegasus as a nod towards his rocket-jump abilities

Demo: It was hard to find a good coat color for him but I thought a more rose hue fit him and his color scheme. I made his tail look like a bomb fuse for fun, and his horn is crooked and bent due to excessive use of explosion magic

Spy: I made him a changeling, since I don't think any other creature fits him better. Also, he and Scout share the same blue secondary colors

Sniper: I made him a griffon and I referenced the New Zealand falcon for his patterns. I would've made Soldier the griffon (a bald eagle one) but I felt like Sniper would've fit the role better, seeing as he likes to perch in high places

I might do more but I'm still thinking about it

ok putting my saiki k pony ideas here, mostly so i can maybe draw them someday, but also i put so much thought into these ideas and i want everyone to see them

tried to do EVERY character

kusuo- alicorn, no cutie mark

hides his wings under clothes and pretends he doesnt have them, would rather hide his horn but cant and just pretends he doesnt have much magic instead

why does he not have a cutie mark, you may ask?? because he hasnt accepted his quirks+powers as a part of himself.. his special talent is probably helping people but he thinks he only does that because the magic he has makes him basically obligated (its not true ur just a good person!!)

nobody really calls him out on constantly wearing clothes with so much coverage because they think hes just insecure about being a blank flank so late in life (kinda true, but it defeats the point if everyone KNOWS..)

will he ever get his cutie mark?? um.. i dont know.. maybe ?? definitely not in his high school years

chiyo- unicorn, baking cutie mark but idk what specifically, maybe a heart shaped chocolate like the one she made for kaido

specialty magic for tracking, she was a late bloomer with her cutie mark because she discovered her tracking talent really young and thought that had to do with her special talent for a longgg time

shun- pegasus, black feathers cutie mark

underdeveloped wings (like scootaloo obvi)

convinced hes just a late bloomer but hes almost an adult and still cant fly (never will but he doesnt know that)

gets these cool wing extensions that allow him to glide but still not fly

tells people his cutie mark is his "jet black wings" but its actually writing quills

riki- earth pony, heart shaped ramen bowl cutie mark ?? idfk what his special talent is i just think he has a lotta love in him..

HUGE stallion.. HUGE..

aren- a kirin..

has a huge scar where a cutie mark would be on a pony in the shape of an exclamation point

used to let his anger free when he was a delinquent and when he transferred, he was pretty self deprecating about his control of himself but he actually has a crazy amount of self control..

chisato- pegasus, hammer cutie mark maybe ?

almost made her an earth pony cuz of the brute strength thing but i like this better

got her cutie mark REALLY late because she was absolutely convinced her special talent had to do with food, and when she got it while doing a job she was like "WORKING IS MY SPECIAL TALENT??" but it wasnt about the job, shes just really strong, hardworking, and adaptable

kokomi- zebra, golden heart cutie mark

couldnt decide if she was a crystal pony or a zebra, decided on zebra

her mark LITERALLY seems to glow golden light, it doesnt actually but.. it really seems that way

ik her being a zebra may not sound like it makes sense because zecora got a bunch of NEGATIVE attention, but HEAR me out okok.. this pony au would be in a modern setting with more diversity and people would focus less on her being a zebra and more on her being beautiful and having such a unique pattern..

zecora is the only zebra we see in mlp so theres no reason to think other zebras couldnt have blue hair, esp in the era of saikis mind control (idk how that would tie into this universe cuz ponies already have crazy colors but shhh) so her hair is prob blue with dark and light stripey highlights

mikoto- griffon

ik she might make more sense as a unicorn but her fortune telling strikes me as more of an.. outside magic ?? like.. she was born with the ability, but its not a physical magical power, its like pinkies pinkie sense!!

so yea i like her as a griffon, its unique and i like the idea of her feathers having a unique pattern around her eyes thats akin to gyaru makeup (see: gilda but make it gyaru esque)

and yes she can still be colorful, we see colorful griffons in the late seasons of mlp

metori- a crystal pony, diamond ring cutie mark

tells people thats his cutie mark because its expensive and hes rich as hell but his special talent is actually MAKING jewelry..

i like the idea of him lying about his special talent so i had to think of something that he could say its cuz hes rich.. i kinda wanted his talent to be baking for some reason but i couldnt think of how that would work

reita- earth pony, cutie mark is like a cartoon-like ghost surrounded by a scary purple and black aura

was gonna make his mark something more meaningful but i think its funny if people see it and are immediately scared of him but literally all it means is like he SPEAKS to ghosts, like in the most normal way possible

and same thing as miko, he doesnt need to be a unicorn cuz his powers are different from unicorn magic..

touma- unicorn, magnifying glass over a thought bubble cutie mark

the mark is hard to explain but tell me u get me when i say its because hes got stupidly good detective skills and can tell what people are thinking

jokes around and manages to convince people he has crazy magic and his cutie mark actually means he can read minds but he actually isnt very good at unicorn magic at all

kineshi- is a changeling..

why ?? because he just is!! doesnt it make sense for him to be a creature that feeds off of making other people feel happiness and love ? it totally makes sense

saikis parents are both earth ponies, and i have no idea what their cutie marks would be but heres some silly ideas: kurumi has a cradle cutie mark (meant to be a mama😋) and kuniharu has a boot and he tells people that it's symbolism for like hard work but people know hes lying and think it means hes a boot licker METAPHORICALLY, which is almost right but.. it means literally

kusuke is an earth pony and his telepathy canceler is probably shaped like a unicorn horn in this universe hehe, and his cutie mark is maybe like a microscope or something ? hes just a mad scientist idk

btw chono in this au would def be like trixie lulamoon if u know what im saying.. he would be a unicorn but his special talent is STAGE magic and his horn doesnt do anything☠️

satou prob has that little hourglass cutie mark thats really common in background characters for animation purposes, idk what his special talent is but that would be really funny

So about that Cookie Run MLP au

I've basically tried to come up with lore and stuff. If you can't read what's on the images, don't worry, I'll expand more on my thoughts here:

(side-note, it's gonna be a long one)

White Lily Cookie

Before I talk about her, here's some random changeling lore I made up. Woodland changelings are the ones who feed on the love of other creatures by draining it from them. Basically the more hostile, fae-esque creatures. Prismatic changelings are those who don't drain love from others, but instead feed on love through mutual sharing with one another. My goal with them is to make them sorta like faeries. Yanno, the baby snatcher ones vs the nice disney-esque ones. They can transform into either one if say, they're able to form a strong bond with someone else or if they lack a strong connection and have no one to share love with.

Btw, this isn't related to mlp canon, it's just something I made up.

So anyway, White Lily was a young woodland changeling who, while she didn't (often) drain love from other people, she was still pretty lonely and ostrisized by her peers (probably due to her lily scent). She transforms into a prismatic changeling after making a strong bond with Pure Vanilla, who declared how he'll always care for her, changeling (either form) or not.

Ngl, I'm not that happy with her woodland form, mainly because it just feels less changeling-like. I based her off Queen Chrysalis, but still, the only reason I have for this, is that, she's like a queen bee. She's just born that way. She just never took the throne like the rest of her friends.

In her younger years, White Lily often transformed into a pony disguise (even after meeting PV and leaving the academy) because she still felt like it was necessary. Girl was bullied in her tweens, leave her be. (Also, by now, she's become a prismatic changeling.) Eventually, she did drop her disguise, and was relieved to know the other 3 didn't hate her. Dark Cacao even commented about how he prefers her true form.

Her soul-jam form is basically her just becoming more queen bee like, (similar to how Queen Chrysalis was bigger and taller compared to the rest of the hive. She's the queen!)

Pure Vanilla Cookie

Not much to say other than he was a unicorn who became an alicorn as the years passed and he gained his soul jam.

I dunno if I wanted his magic to be blue or yellow. I think I prefer yellow, but his soul jam is blue, and I wanted it to sorta match. Hmm.

He also has terrible eyesight, and relies on his staff to see. However, the drawside to this is that what the staff sees, is what he sees. And boy, his staff can be a bit sassy sometimes, rolling its eye and glancing down at him to judge him at times. It was especially so in his younger years. But he's comfortable with or without the staff's sight. I should mention, he does get to decide if he wants to see what his staff sees or not.

Btw, if this take is seen as ablelist in any shape or way, please let me know, and I will correct it if it is. The whole 'staff sees for PV' is a popular headcanon which I just roll with, but if it makes people uncomfortable, I understand and will revise it.

Hollyberry Cookie

Not much to say other than she was an earth pony who gained wings, magic, and super strength.

Compared to the others, she rarely ever uses her magic/wings unless absolutely needed to. It just feels quite off for her, yanno? Though, she does take advantage of her enhanced strength, agility, and stamina.

Out of everyone, she took the longest to figure out how to fly, not because she was scared, but because it felt very off to control these brand new appendages that just appear on your back whenever you use the souljam's magic to the fullest.

Her design is the most straight-forward out of everyone tbh.

Dark Cacao Cookie

He's a kirin, which are basically dragon-like ponies, and I headcanon him to be part dragon, so it works out.

For his Nirik form, I drew inspiration for how berserk Cacao looked, all whispy and spirit-like.

I was debating on whether or not I wanted to give him wings, but in the end, I realized that it would make his design feel too cluttered. So instead, I drew inspiration from east asian dragons, and how they don't need wings to fly. Dark Cacao can summon clouds and gallop across the winds instead, which I think looks really cool.

Kirin's are depicted with this lion's mane, but I didn't feel like it would fit Cacao, mainly because he's got a lot going on at this point (the armor, for one) and idk, I just couldn't fit it, unless I redesign his entire wardrobe, which I don't want to do.

About the White Lily thing I mentioned earlier, I said how Cacao prefers seeing Lily as a changeling, rather than in a disguise, because (at the time) he thought he was the only non-pony creature on the team, and it was reassuring to him that he wasn't the odd one out. Golden Cheese was the last one to officially join the band.

Golden Cheese Cookie

Head of a pony, body of a lion, wings like a hawk's. Yep, she's a sphinx.

I know she looks more cat-like here, but idk, I just really liked it, so I stuck with it.

Out of everyone, she was the one who had the most trouble with magic, mainly because she's kinda the most scatterbrained. But once she got the hang of it, she really liked using it.

Can I just say, she's definitely the most elegant looking one out of the bunch, and I'm glad that I was able to translate it well. (Or at least, I think I was.)

That took a lot longer than expected. But hey, this au is just for fun.

Something i love to think about when doing things like reinterpreting characters into a different world and franchise is how different it can end up depending on what parts of a character and their lore you adapt.

Like mlp. Some characters are so obviously one type of pony no mater how you look at them or what angle you go from. Some dont have a super strong pull to any.

But then there's the characters who go by what I'm talking about. Like Knuckles. Who can fit just about anything depending on what parts are picked for his adapting (Under the cut cuz i got lots to say)

If you're adapting Knuckles as a character, no thoughts to translating his lore earth pony is PERFECT. He's got a focus on raw strength, he's often depicted as larger and bulkier than the rest of the cast, his most fitting element is earth. It fits so well.

Adding in some vague references to lore and he'd be good as a crystal pony. He'd be in a kingdom that was unknown to the world for thousands or years that has a super powerful crystal artefact. (Plus I will forever adore Knuckles with a crystal vibe)

But Knuckles can also work as a unicorn. One you can use it to reference his hand spikes, (Maybe even give him a horn that splits in two) and he's involved with mystical energy that you can translate to magic.

He could also work as a pegasus. He canonically can glide and he lives on an island in the sky. (plus he is so the type to shield someone with his wings) and the pegasi used to be war like and that would fit the past of the echidna

Playing into the last of his kind, "other" aspect could have him be fitting as a non pony species (maybe even one that doesn't appear in the show but would feel fitting) and some of these can kinda parallel the echidnas story. It's not perfect but they can work if you're just using it as a vague reference as to the echidna story and focusing more on the fact he's a different species to all those around him

Like the griffins were a culture that fell into ruin after an event involving someone attempting to steal a key artefact. He could fit the hippogriffs with their story of being forced below the waves and becoming a lost culture, he could fit the changlings with how they attacked ponies like how the echidna attacked other tribes, Knuckles is actively telling people not to be like his ancestors like how the changlings are trying to be different from their past.

or give him a few traits to make it so he can't really be called any of the main pony species, like he's an ancient and lost type of pony.

But now we get to what happens if you REALLY play into all the Master Emerald lore and i think making him an Alicorn has so much potential.

First of all, he has a direct connection to the thing that's described as the most powerful artefact/source of chaos in the world, (and in mlp we do see a character who's exposed to a immense amount of magic become an alicorn.) Plus his role as guardian would fit with the whole idea of alicorns filling a special role in the world. The m.e can do many things and translating that to magic and focusing more on what he'd be able to do with it REALLY sounds like alicorn stuff and the stuff for him being each pony type can still be brought in cuz alicorns are a mix of all three pony types.

And there's so much fun to be had playing into the idea of 'Is he a naturally born alicorn? did the m.e do this to him? Did the m.e bring him into existence like this?" He can't say, he's sure always been this way, being this way feels natural and there's no clear signs that he was changed into one but if he was born an alicorn, where did he come from? who were his parents? were they alicorns? and the idea that the m.e and create life out of nothing spooks anyone who thinks about it.

But he really doesn't get what all the fuss about him being an alicorn is about, why everyone always stares if he has both his wings and horn showing, even when they are covered ponies seem put off by his size. (This is the perfect place for the feelings of loneliness and otherness being the last echidna give him in the normal canon)

Also the good ol' immortal Knuckles vibe are strong. He doesn't know how long he's been up there, but he can remember places from the surface that he's so sure he shouldn't be able. Maybe he doesn't even know alicorns are immortal until someone tells him. He then spends ages trying to convince himself that he's a young immortal, because the thought of him having a life that he's somehow forgotten is immensely distressing.

Bring in the things from canon of Knuckles not feeling like its his place, or is perhaps even scared to use his power and you've got an alicorn, an immensely powerful being, who's barely tapping into his magic, only doing the basic spells that practically every unicorn uses in their day to day life. he could but he's so worried about what might happen if he does. So he goes for physical fighting moves instead. (And the idea of him tapping into that immense power to protect his friends works so good with him as an alicorn. You do not want an angry protective and powerful alicorn after you.)

And the storyline of finding a lost alicorn on a mysterious floating island has wonderous potential. Gives Eggman all the more reason to manipulate him on sight. Sonic's running along in superform, and then something knocks into him. His eyes focus and there's an alicorn in front of him. No wonder he was able to knock him out if his superform,

(I've also seen a take where Shadow is an alicorn cuz. "Why wouldn't they make the ultimate lifeform an alicorn" and i love that, but i got some extra thoughts. It being very clear he's an artificial alicorn and those working on project shadow not fully understanding that a alicorn is a mix of unicorn, Pegasus AND earth pony and just creating him with the first two. There so many delicious storylines that could come from shadows identity as an alicorn getting a shake up.)

The more i talk about it the more i adore alicorn Knuckles and all the story potential it has. Also, the thought of him looking all regal and mystical and then when you talk to him he's brash, rude, kinda feral, lives outside instead of in some castle and is a dorky sweetheart who pretends he totally doesn't care even though he's often instinctively using his big alicorn wings to shield his friends. (He also has many of his critter friends use his wings as shelter and if you look underneath you'll find a whole pile of the smols)

Thoughts on MLP Make Your Mark Chapter 4, Episode 1: Bridlewoodstock

(with spoilers)

So this special really reminded me of the G3 specials, which generally low-stakes (except A Very Minty Christmas when Minty almost fell to her death out of a hot air balloon). Like if you think about it, life would go on if Kimono wasn't surprised on her birthday or if there weren't any rainbows for one year. The mix-up with the three musical acts thinking they would be the headliner, and then an ADDITIONAL mixup where none of them wanted to be the headliner, was especially G3-ish. Mostly this special was about a pleasant vibe and fun songs and ponies dancing around.

However there was some conflict, in the form of Pipp ignoring Izzy's (and the other unicorns') warning about the Troggles.

The Troggles were originally from the G1 episode "The Return of Tambelon". They were the enslaved minions of Grogar until they rebelled against him and befriended the ponies.

In this special they are more like forest spirits, and are only a danger during the nights of the Lumi-Bloom. The unicorns have a poem about them: "Eyes of the monster, form of the pig! Sing, laugh, or yell, set hoof on a twig! Troggles appear, steal what's to be, no cure to be found past the red ruby!" The Troggles steal ponies' voices, but will give them back (and disappear) if presented with a ruby. Which is exactly what happens, and then the ponies go back to their concert and dance party.

Random thoughts and observations:

Izzy says the Lumi-Bloom occurs "every moon season". Also, Minty says the Dreamlands broke up "moons and moons ago." Both of which make me believe that in this world "a moon" is a year, not a month.

The Lumi-Bloom glow is a natural phenomenon, not magic. (Or at least not pony-magic.)

When Zipp goes to recruit the band Elecric Blue, we see Shutter Snap (who had a toy in the Amazon exclusive pegasus set) as part of the paparrazzi.

The Electric Blue ponies are very Aesthetic; their names are Arpeggio, Fretlock, and Jam Donut.

idk if you mean my thoughts on magic as a whole or on starlight but ur getting BOTH. big warning, i'm going to take this neon cartoon very seriously.

magic in g4 is wildly overpowered and there's this huge underlying inequality between the pegasi and earth ponies compared to the unicorns - which is reinforced in how the show portrays class, wealth, and nobility. The upperclass Canterlot consists mostly of unicorns, and nobility that hasn't earned their status and instead inherited it (Duke Blueblood). honestly, you could make the case that the unicorn's old role of raising the sun and moon (and therefor the crops) allowed them to maintain control over the earth ponies. In the few earth ponies we do see in Canterlot, they're mainly put in typically lower class associated physical intensive labor work. Notably, we see a group of earth ponies striking in one episode, implying that unions exist in order to prevent exploitation of these groups (notably, fancy pants speaks negatively about them because they're delaying a swan thing, a superfluous ceremony that is purely for fun and not at all necessary).

But back to magic! magic TRUMPS the other ponies' abilities. we see it can turn back time, control weather, give ponies super speed and strength, help them FLY?? anything a pegasi or earth can do, a unicorn with enough magic and training could arguably come in and do (perhaps even better than them!). When i used the example of the bakery in canterlot, i was drawing from the show. there's a scene where Starlight is able to ice a cake in seconds and Mrs. Cake asks if she's trying to put her out of business to which...yeah! could an earth pony be able to match that level of output in a unicorn dominated city? sure, someone brought up the idea of artisanal goods, but could that really compete with fast well crafted baked goods that take a fraction of the time an earth pony product would take? the answer is no. the artisanal goods would be the exception, not the norm.

Unicorns in general have a huge advantage in coordination, we see that they dominate the arts scene. They're capable of doing precise stitching for clothing, something that a pegasus or an earth pony would need to do by mouth and wouldn't be able to match the fine motor skills that magic can do. An earth pony can only sew by mouth, a unicorn without any magical training can sew multiple at once. They're at a huge disadvantage comparatively!

That leads us to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, just unicorns. Earth ponies and pegasi are completely blocked out from attending a prestige academy headed by the queen of Equestria herself on the basis that they can't do magic. We know that Celestia uses the school to scope out proteges...but that means only unicorns are considered.

now this is where Starlight comes in and look. listen. i love a good hypocritical villain but if you want to claim that she has a point in the show, ur wrong. Cutie marks don't automatically make you good at something, they don't disqualify you from other talents, and they definitely aren't limited to talents (some are personality traits!). Most importantly, they're what makes you feel fulfilled and happy. Starlight's ideology is flawed and in the show, this is how it's portrayed, and that's good.

But gotdamn. her backstory suuuuuucckkss. you can't write your friend a letter? can't be a penpal? come on starlight try a little harder. I mean they hardly stay unequal, writer's pet- i mean starlight can little outpower an alicorn princess.

so like. if you want her to have a point, she should've been an earth pony against magic. Starburst goes to an academy she's barred from tending, letters that she has to write are cumbersome and difficult because she has to do it by mouth, a lot of her labor options are limited by her capabilities - i mean come on! listen to me people, the enemy isn't cutie marks, the enemy of g4 inequality is magic.

MLP Broodmother Virus: Copycat Details/Sweetiebelle's Letter

(The results between the Copycat details and the check-in with Rarity were pretty neck and neck, so I decided to do both)

The Copycat life cycle:

Consumption of tainted food

Gestation

Birth

Larval stage

Pupae stage

Adult form

The appearance, behavior, size, and even fundamental structural details of each individual Copycat vary wildly, highly dependent on the details of their host.

For example, if their host is a unicorn, they will emerge at birth not only with their own latent magical ability, but also will grow their own horn once they hit their adult form. The result is similar with Pegasi, allowing the Copycat to be born with flight and grow their own set of wings, and Earth Pony hosts will result in Copycat's with increased strength.

It's not just a pony's base attributes that affect them though, even their special talent seems to affect the Copycat's DNA, giving them boons such as high-flying speeds, increased magical prowess, and much, much more.

Their variability is part of why they're so dangerous, a Copycat's actions being near impossible to predict, especially if one doesn't know their host very well. The only boon in pony's favor is that the Copycat's don't seem to be aggressive by nature and become even less so if their host's temper was especially mild, but their affect on pony's is so destructive that it only helps somewhat.

The main thing that remains a mystery is where the eggs that afflicted so much foodstuff came from in the first place. They share many similarities to Changelings; not just their insectoid traits, but their talent for love magic, as clearly shown by their host's unwavering devotion to them, but there is no currently known record of Copycat's appearing before. Our best guess is that they're an ancient ancestor of the Changeling race that has laid dormant for countless generations, until now.

Sweetiebelle's Letter

'Dear Applebloom,

It's me, Sweetiebelle! I haven't seen you in a long time, or Scootaloo for that matter...so I thought I'd send you a letter! Don't worry, I'm sending Scootaloo one too.

The town's been really hectic lately, though I haven't heard too much; I think the grown-ups are trying not to scare me. Whatever it is though, I'm not too worried, and Rarity isn't either.

Speaking of Rarity, you are not going to BELIEVE what I saw today! It's the best news like, EVER! Don't tell Applejack though, I think Rarity wants to keep it a surprise. Ah, I probably shouldn't tell you either, but I can't help it! I don't have anypony else to tell!

I saw Rarity making onesies, -and- baby blankets! At first, I figured she was just making them for some custom order or whatever, but instead of sending them off in a box or handing them over to somepony, she put them away in her closet! I hadn't even thought about how funny she'd been walking lately, but when I saw that, it all clicked into place!

I'm gonna be an aunty, Applebloom! Can you believe it?! Oh man, I can't WAIT til she tells me! Oooo oooo, whenever Rarity lets you guys visit us again, we should make her some super special apple fritters! Ooooo or maybe a GIANT pie!

Oh uh, yeah, speaking of that - Rarity doesn't really want company right now. Don't worry though! I'm sure she's just grumpy from being sore all the time and stuff. Remember how much Ms. Cake complained before she had the twins? Oof!

Annnnyways, I'mma go make some art; I gotta make sure I have a great 'congrats' card for when big sis tells me the big news! See ya soon!'

Vague My Little Pony bedrock bros au/ideas fuck this is unhinged behaviour, i drew good art to accompany it as i explain the mental illness (tw for major character death)

Going off the assumption that either anyone reading this doesnt know about mlp plot-wise or just doesnt know that much about it plot-wise. So im gonna say the few things that is kinda important to this au, if you know what the things are skip it its a lot of words:

Changling - Hivemind Bug like creatures that are kinda pony shaped. They can do magic(they have a horn), fly (they have wings), shapeshift, and their main thing is eating love. <- eating love is a legit need for them, like food - without eating love they will starve (this episode shows that, starting at around 7 minutes (theres also a banger song at around 17 minutes, but thats my bias talking)) The way they eat love is by shapeshifting (into someones thats loved) and then feeding off that love. They can also shapeshift into just a random pony that doesnt exist. Also this is what a changling looks like, btw. Easier to show than explain v

And the hivemind part is a bit iffy? I mean they say its a hivemind but in the episode i linked the changling (forgot their name because im a fake fan :( ) wanted a friend the second they were hatched so who knows. This isnt that serious this is me making bedrock bros angst from mlp world

Anyways! In my au/idea-for-angst, changlings feeding off of a person's love can harm the person they're feeding off of. I don't know if its like that in canon, which is why i'm saying its an au thing

Tantabus - In canon it's only in Princess Luna's dreams, but canon is dead i shot it, so thats not important. But the reason it exists is Luna felt guilty and made it so that it would give her nightmares (oversimplification, but it's fine) Photo example of what it looks like v

Pony - There are four types of Ponies. Earth pony (no wings + no horn), Pegasi (Have wings but dont have horn), Unicorn (no wings but have horn), Alicorn (Royalty. Have wings + have horn). Ponies also have cutie marks, which is just basicly a magic tattoo they get when they discover their talent/passion

Time for more words. I have two versions of this au/idea, but im gonna start with the one i drew things for.

Tommy is a changling (his wings are too damaged to fly with) and Techno is an earth pony. Tommy is a pretty young changling who Does Not like being a changling. He wants to be a pony, but at the same time he wants people to love him for being him. it's contridictory.

He doesn't take form of anyone specific, the first thing he sees are two disks resting on a bench and he decides that can be his cutie mark. He's never heard music, but he thinks he wants to.

He meets Techno, a potato farmer with apples coated in gold and Tommy didn't know that was possible, and turns out it's just a decoration and he did try to eat it but does it really matter if Techno gave him some love for it?

Techno keeps loving him, and maybe he realized something was wrong when standing for hours started to feel draining when it never had before. Maybe he realized something was off when Tommy's main was growing wrong - jutted out, the hair stiff - and maybe he shouldve realized when Tommy barely hid a gag when he ate anything techno gave him.

It takes time. Techno has a job, but he can't do it anymore. He's tired - it doesnt seem physical until he needs to close his eyes for longer. It doesnt seem like a big deal until silent acts of love towards Tommy make him need to take a nap.

It doesnt seem like a big deal to Tommy, until he realizes that this is why it's so hard to feed a big group. This is why he was allowed to leave alone, because the town is too small and they thought he was smart enough to feed off not just one person.

It doesn't seem like a big deal to Tommy until it's been months, he is full, and Techno stops opening his eyes.

It doesnt seem like a big deal until Techno's last muttered words are that he knew, and he should have done something diffrent, but-

Techno, who's cutie mark is a sword going into his skin - Techno, who's real and true and is able to love. Techno, who may as well have been born for this and who regrets this.

Techno, who stops, either because he physically cant say more or because he mentally cant. Soon enough, his chest stops rising.

Techno didnt like flowers that much, but he didnt mind them and liked the smell of the golden ones outside of his home. He wore it in his main. And tommy, a changling without much of a main or tail, wraps himself in golden flowers and sits close to Techno. There's no use pretending anymore, but he still does.

Tommy makes a Tantabus for himself, he closes his eyes not unlike Techno, and he lays down.

And he dreams.

And the flowers around him wilt.

And he can't hear anything from the hivemind - he hasnt been able to for a while now. He doesnt know how that happened, why it happened, or if it was always like that.

My brain when I like a character from any piece of media: but what if they were ponies.

Here are a few stormlight archive characters I drew as my little ponies! I don’t know if anyone seeing this is going to be familiar with both stormlight and mlpfim but trust me all my designs are so clever and accurate. I will explain some of my thoughts below a cut, as well as giving them equestrian names. Spoiler warning for stormlight archive.

Jasnah has a star-shaped gemstone for a cutie mark because her talent is magic. She specialises in transfiguration and teleportation, and is a pony historian. She’s got lots of jewellery because in the books Shallan is always talking about her hair ornaments, make-up, and elegant clothing. She’s also a princess! This is the pony equivalent of a queen. She was born as a unicorn but will at some point grow wings and become an alicorn. I’m going to be lazy and say her pony name is Elsecaller.

Adolin is a pegasus because he’s a confident warrior type. He still duels but I also think he does jousting because ever since rainbow dash and fluttershy jousted in the season 3 premiere I was kind of obsessed. Horseback sports but it’s just a horse holding their own lance. That’s hilarious. Anyway his pony name would be Golden Blade or Bright Blade or something like that.

Lift is a pegasus because she’s fast and always sneaking into places she doesn’t belong. Her colours are like a tree to reflect her plant powers. Her cutie mark is a green lightning thing because she’s full of lifelight (green) and always on the go. She would still be called Lift. Or maybe Lift-up or Lift-off.

Kaladin is an earth pony and Sylphrena is his breezy best friend (breezies are a species of tiny fairy ponies). I’m not sure how to make him magic - maybe he turns into an alicorn sometimes like sunny in g5? Or maybe Syl is an ancient spirit that grants him alicorn magic. I’m thinking of changing his cutie mark so that the ribbons on the spear are more glowy and magical-looking, because it’s kind of boring right now. Ideas for his pony name: Stormblessed, Stormy Heart, Stormlight Glow, Windrunner, Stormy Skies, etc. I actually thought about making him a unicorn, because he’s distinct and regal and didn’t fit in with the other kids, but I think this story works better if he’s an earth pony that acts like a princess. Plus his personality/skill set is more suited to an earth pony.

Shallan is a unicorn and uses her magic to make light weavings (illusions). Her talent is art and her cutie mark is two brush strokes making a heart on a red ink splatter (extremely subtle symbolism). The clasp on her satchel is Pattern, who is a magical amulet that talks to her. Pattern was initially drawn to her powerful unicorn magic but now his job is to reign her in and help her use magic in a normal, healthy way.

Renarin is a unicorn because he’s magical and really smart. He has healing powers and can see the future. I drew him performing dark magic (the purple and green smoke coming out of his horn) to represent his ‘corrupted’ magic. His cutie mark is an eye because he is a Truthwatcher (red in honour of Glys - his spren) and has a purple splotch behind to represent that he’s the ‘blackness’ that interferes with Odium’s ability. I think his pony name would be a mash up of words without real meaning, just like in the book. Like Renstone Mist or something like that.

“Dear Wind, you do know that there are certain things that the Rom keep very secret. How we do our woodwork, our wheels, Ka'chek flour, and Rom black tea are most of them.

We do not share our language or our music to any extent at all. Those we only do if Marchhare allows it. Our music is not really secret, as such. It is just that it works in ways so strange to any pony made music that they cannot do it. If they try to use their ideas of how it should be played, on their instruments, they will always fail. The cows of Trottingham have learned to play our music on our instruments and do it very well.”

She looked over to where Marchhare was assembling his silver jewelry, which included set gems and touches of gold. He looked up from his work, which was being done without a torch or flame of any kind and nodded. “Feel free to answer Wind, Rose. She understands why we keep our secrets. Unless I miss my guess, she may become one of us.”

Rose smiled. “Most ponies, especially unicorns, think that there is only one sort of 'true magic' and that comes from the horn of a unicorn. Surprisingly, even pegassi, whose wings are far too small to fly like a bird and can perch on clouds, which even birds can't, agree with them. They are so ingrained with the idea that the unicorns do the magic, that they can't see the magic that they use all the time. Earth ponies can hold things with their hooves, plant things and they will grow, or build things that will last for generations. But that isn't magic, either, is it? Of course it is.

“Over 800 years ago, while he was rescuing some lost horses that were still in the Sunset Mountains, Marchhare noticed that our earliest ancestors were doing things that seemed to need magic. He discovered that it was coming from the frogs of our hooves. With that magic, we can do a huge number of things. Our woodwork, that you so cleverly spotted was not using the glue that is only there for window dressing is only one thing. It helps the smith to shape and bond the iron or other metals. It helps the weaver to produce perfect cloth.

“All of these things, Wind, stem from this single, and kept secret, form of magic. There is more. Our Ka'chek flour only uses magic a tiny bit in the harvesting and preparing of the ingredients. Rom black tea is from a really common shrub. It just looks like nothing that a sane pony would eat. In fact, when it is fresh, it will make them ill. So, for thousands of years, they haven't. Besides it needs to be properly dried and shredded, which makes it near impossible to identify.”

Wind suddenly snorted. “I was walking beside Hanar and I thought that I saw her magic popping out to the roadside. It was really quick. I wondered what that was about. She was snagging those leaves to make tea out of!”

A soft muzzle placed itself gently on her shoulder. Hanar whispered, “You are so observant that I am glad that you are with us, rather than the ponies. Will you come with me, please? Dinner will be ready soon and I saw some bank sorrel and wild nettles growing back in the woods a bit. They will make a lovely salad for dinner.”

Rose simply wrinkled her nose at them in amusement and went back to producing her amazing little boxes.

They paused near the outfall of the Wayside's boxed spring and gathered a handy bag full of the succulent sorrel growing there like big clovers. Stepping past the tiny outfall stream, they went a bit deeper into the woods. They came to an opening where abundant sun had led to a dense growth of nettles. Hanar used her magic to very selectively harvest a substantial bundle of the plants.

Wind noticed that her harvest in both the sorrel and the nettles was calculated to preserve and expand the stands. Thoughtfully she asked, “Do you water these nettles too?”

“Only if the weather is dry and they show signs of wilting. Doing it this way assures us of a steady supply of fresh salads.”

Back at camp, Tia and Midnight lit up at the sight! “Fresh nettles and sorrel! Salad tonight! Hanar, are you going to set up your retting tank?”

“Of course! Once you have the leaves off, I will start soaking the stems. I will have the fibers ready to spin in only three days!”

Wind asked curiously, “There are fibers in the stems of nettles?”

Hanar nodded enthusiastically as she opened a large locker in her caravan. “Lots of good fibers. We just soak them for three days in this weather.”

She pulled out flat parts and a pair of wheels less than a meter across. She fitted together a narrow cart with a vat for a body. She lined the vat with pine tarred fabric and attached the whole thing to the back of her caravan.

She happily filled the vat with water from the spring. In only moments, Midnight trotted over and plunked in the stems of the nettles. Hanar added weights that would hold them underwater and closed the lid of the traveling tank.

Wind's acute hearing picked up the altercation in the guard's camp. “This is a flat out insult to us nobles! Besides just letting a strange commoner into the camp, they are keeping that . . . that thing as well. Dratted thing is a carnivore! And they keep it! How are we supposed to guard the Princesses if they won't even let us into the camp?”

“You sure that you read the Manual, Greenforest?”

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“PAGE ONE! The Princesses DO NOT WANT US HERE AT ALL! We were imposed on them by a unanimous vote of the Advisory Council. So far, the Guard has been rescued by the Rom on seven occasions. The Guard have NEVER been the ones to do the rescue. We are here because butt hurt Counts and Dukes were on a control trip.”

Wind was about to take her place in the serving line, along side Midnight when a lone pegasus landed just outside the camp and called, “May I enter? I am bearing the Royal Dispatch Cases.”

Tia looked up from stirring a rich soup and called cheerfully, “Welcome, Baron Sweetlawn! Get Marchhare to open his caravan to store the cases until we can get to them. It was considerate of you to come this late.”

He stepped into the camp and offered, “I know that you treasure your time among your Royal Family of Rom, so I gave you as much of the day as I could.

“Your Grace Marchhare, would you be so good as to open your caravan for the safe storage of the Kingdom's business?”

While the old donkey opened the door, he invited, “That was a long flight, Sweetlawn. Would you join us for dinner? You may take your place beside me in the line.”

“I would be honored, Your Grace.”

“Please, Sweetlawn, we have been over it before. Here, I am simply Marchhare.”

Midnight, beside Wind, whispered, “Sweetlawn is one of the few really good barons. They are all good at managing their lands and towns or they would be replaced. The ones that are just nice to everypony or horse, like him, are the rare ones.”

Dinner itself was the usual mild madhouse, as hungry horses lined up to snag their favorites. After all were served, Wind and Hanar wound up seated in the shade of a tree nibbling their favorite pastries. Wind's was filled with fish and seasoned to perfection.

All too soon, it was all gone. Tia and Midnight took Marchhare with them and went into the caravan.

Sweetlawn observed, “I wish that the Kingdom could simply run itself and let their Highnesses have free time with the family that they love.”

It was really not all that long before all three emerged from the caravan. They had the cases all neatly resealed. Perhaps worse, they were all three sucking on edible cones filled with finely shaved ice and blatantly colorful sweet syrups.

They handed Sweetlawn one of the cones and suggested, “Here, I seem to remember you liking peach syrup. Cool down before that long hot flight back to Canterlot.”

He did just that.

It was time to settle down. Tomorrow's end would see them to Haymarket fairground a day early, if all went well.

Breakfast went fairly quietly. They all said farewell to Waller and helped him get his wagon in proper order for finishing his haul to Haymarket.

Black Lotus wandered over to see Wind and let her soft blue magic soak into the wounds. As she finished, she suggested, “If you want to try it, Wind, you could try Pulling with the rest of us, today. You seem to be fully healed.”

Wind shrugged, “I would like to try that, if you have a harness that might fit me.”

Black Lotus snickered. “By no coincidence at all, I happen to have spent some time each of the last few nights whipping something up in my sewing room!”

Turning to Hanar she suggested, “Set yourself up a double tree, dear. Let's see if this catter can Pull.”

She trotted off to Marchhare's caravan and returned in only moments. She had both a harness and a set of sashes modified to fit Wind's upright frame. Wind sucked in her breath as she saw the beautiful sashes, woven so that two different colors chased each other and shifted with each slight movement of the fabric. It matched Hanar's beautiful sashes perfectly.

Recovering her breath, Wind shook her head in wonder. “I have never seen any fabric like this except what your mother wove. It is lovely.”

Hanar nodded agreeably, “It is my best weaving. I thought that it would be better used for you than to sell it to some pony at a fair. Black Lotus agreed with me.”

Wind looked carefully at the harness too. It had pulling straps at both hips and shoulders. All the rings and buckles were of stout steel, lovingly finished to a blue color. There was a tooled design like a twisted rope running the length of each strap.

Black Lotus's magic helped Wind to don the sashes first, then the harness. Both she and Hanar had Wind lean into the load while they adjusted things to fit perfectly.

Satisfied, they hitched themselves into their places. Soon Tia's mellow voice called, “Lean right! Lean left! Pull right! Pull left!” The whole caravan eased out onto the road and the day's road songs began.

Wind was surprised at how tricky it really was to match Hanar's seemingly effortless pace. Hanar's light golden magic was helping to guide Wind's stride. The songs were a huge help too.

Hanar, actually easing Wind's power some, commented, “You are much stronger than I thought that you would be, Wind. I expected to be the one to have to hold back. I hope that you have the endurance to keep this up for the rest of the Pull.”

It was not long before they came to a Wayside. To Wind's surprise, since it was still early, they pulled in. Wind's ears caught Greenforest grumbling, “Gotta stop in every Wayside to rest the Royal butts, hum!”

She caught Hawkwing's retort, “If so, it will be the first time in my seven years. My money is on checking that catter, Wind and her harness. It is new, so it will likely be stretching some and need adjustment. Bet that they will be looking over Wind, too.”

True to Hawkwing's prediction, it was Black Lotus and Hoof Dancer who came to wind. They had several medicine pots along. Hoof Dancer smiled as she stated, “You are doing very well, Wind! If you keep this up for the rest of the day, we will win quite a pot!”

...You will live to regret what you have just unleashed. Not only are you asking about terrible built up brainrot, you are also asking about my second favourite in the rewrite.

(P.S I am working off the movie and Make Your Mark here since my little sister refuses to watch Tell Your Tale and doesn't know about the comics and can barely even read, and I only watch MLP with her)

Anyways, LONG ANSWER INCOMING.

Before beginning with Zipp, I need to fix up some wordbuilding so bear with me!!

I won't go into full detail because that needs its own post but I will go basic overview of Maretime Bay, Zephyr Heights and Bridlewood.

So, in the movie Izzy mentions how unicorns thought all Earth Ponies were dumb asf. And we also saw Canterlogic tech to counter that.

Well, in my rewrite, earth ponies (being extremely paranoid about unicorns and pegasi and having no magic ever) advanced themselves and made a lot of technology basically to combat them. Eventually, the became the most advanced of the ponykinds, and they are the only place with WiFi and stuff (if I am forced to keep it).

For Bridlewood, I will lean HEAVILY into the superstitious stuff. I imagine unicorns will fall into stories about magic being evil and start living with nature and not really advance much due to the amount of fear generated by them losing the main thing that helped them everyday.

Now: Zephyr Heights. I don't like that it is in the clouds. I barely remember G4 (I was a little kid when it came out and I won't rewatch it). However, I remember vaguely that pegasi had a special type of magic that allowed them to walk on clouds and live on them.

Since G5 is a direct sequel where they have no magic- that literally wouldn't make any sense. Instead, they will live on the mountain in the movie and somewhat adapt to it.

And for how it is I want it to be a 70s and early 2000s mashup, because I think that would be cool (seriously no other reason sometimes you gotta pick aesthetics over logic, that or lean heavy into medieval royalty shit. nothing is set completely in stone with the worldbuilding)

Still sorta figuring out how the "only royals can fly" lie stuff will work out but whatever.

Anyway, ZEPHYRINA!! I love her omg.

-> Her Role as A Princess:

Definitely hates it. Not to borrow too much from Dash, but she is definitely a free spirit. Unlike her mother and sister, she doesn't like the spotlight and doesn't make many public appearancs, so the kingdom views her as a mysterious enigma, and she is the subject of MANY conspiracy theories (which are amped up to 1000 after their lie is exposed and the whole thing about working with other ponykinds to restore magic comes up).

She definitely reads all the conspiracies about her, out of pure curiosity and to see how accurate they are.

I sadly don't have this part fully fleshed out as I am conflicted between having her family permanently dethroned or not (on one hand, great drama. On the other, it wouldn't feel right not having Pipp as a princess) so moving on-

-> Detective Zipp Storm! (Also bit of backstory)

I am so excited to talk about this!! (I am an Ace attorney, Danganronpa, Detective Conan and Ahmed Khalid Tawfik fan, of course I am excited abt mystery)

[Pre-Make Your Mark/Movie]:

You know how Izzy got Sunny's lantern and that's why she went to Maretime Bay? Well, why the fuck doesn't Zipp get one too?

Basically, after Izzy recieves the lantern, she is beyond excited to have new pony friends! So, she makes her own lantern with its own letter and sends it off.

Only this letter reaches Zipp, who was sneaking out of the palace trying to practice a way to fly.

And that one letter leaves Zipp confused. She was sheltered her whole life thinking unicorns and earth ponies were evil and wanted to kill the pegasi and she was skeptical of the letter, even as a child.

She hid it away and would reread it every once in a while, thinking over the message inside about how she had friends in Bridlewood. She was sheltered and kept inside the Palace almost her whole life, she didn't really have any friends. The letter made her feel less lonely, somehow.

That tapped into her ever-growing curiosity and she wanted to research more about unicorns.

So Zipp would spend hours in the Royal library (which will definitely be bigger in my rewrite) digging up old books on Equestria before losing magic (since most newer ones were about her pegasi ancestors exclusively). Her main objectives were to find out more about the other ponykinds and to find a way to restore the pegasi's ability to fly and return to living on the clouds.

She would also stare at old murals and statues at stuff, analysing the shit out of them.

That's why she wouldn't be very scared of Sunny and Izzy when they wind up in Zephyr Heights (I am planning to keep the movie's general plot similar).

I wanna avoid spoiling too much of the movie and the series' plots and we're moving to "still unsure of this/planning" territory.

So we're gonna do this part with bullet points

Zipp definitely gets a design shift between the movie and make your mark. I am still planning out both of the designs (mainly as gijnkas cuz I can't draw horses)

Zipp and Misty's relationship will probably be the most fleshed out. They had so much potential. Zipp starts out being skeptical, starts trusting Misty a bit after realizing she's just awkward, they have a few heart-to-hearts, they become really close, then BAM! The reveal happens and Zipp is just feels absolutely betrayed and stupid and maybe cries a bit. And afterwards they start repairing their relationship bit by bit, but it takes a while since Zipp isn't really willing to go back to being close friends again.

I want Zipp to develop a stronger friendship with Sunny and Izzy, since they were both technically the reason she started breaking away from the prejudice against other ponies ingrained into her as a kid and made her feel less lonely. Zipp and Sunny could easily bond over research about Twilight and the old Mane Six and cross reference eachother.

For Zipp and Izzy, I imagine that Zipp would generally be very stressed all the time, and Izzy would always try to get her to relax a bit (and maybe get her to do craft projects with her). They just kinda hang out, yknow? Idk I just want more platonic fluff.

Pipp and Zipp's relationship- well, you'll see once I start posting about it 😈

Hitch and Zipp will probably have the same relationship in the show and movie, I can't really find any way to improve it, honest.

Anyways, I am so sorry this took so long to answer, nd sorry if the answer isn't satisfying I've just been very busy.

Hopefully I will get to talk more about it soon <3

I've been wanting to share my personal preference for who should put the voice for Shadow, Rouge and Amy if they appear in the 3 Sonic movie but I wanted to illustrate it with drawings and I'm rusty 😅😅😅 so I really took my time... I just hope people get the references 😂, anyway here:

Keanu Reeves as Shadow the hedgehog 🖤

Honestly I shouldn't have to even justify this ok? It's Keanu duh but of course the principal reason is that Keanu movies are Sonic's favorites and he could make a joke about how his voice is similar to his favorite actor 😁😁😁😁😁 , i know Robert Pattinson would make a fine job too but... Are we honestly going to waste the first movie reference? Nope

Scarlett Johansson as Rouge the bat 💎

I've been hearing other fitting options such as Gal Gadot and Angelina jolie... But given that Rouge aside a thief and a treasure hunter is also known as a secret government spy i think our dear Black widow is the chosen one! 😍😍 Scarlett has experience dubbing and she has a juvenile voice (remember Rouge has a mature aura and looks but she is still 18 and can be childish i don't want them to put her a voice like they did in Sonic x😤) that can become sexy and mischievous, to me is perfect for the job of playing the deceiving bat.

Kimiko Glenn as Amy Rose 🌹

Well this might be a weird choice but it's just my opinion, i first noticed this actress after by chance heard her song from the musical waitress and find out she has done a lot of Dubbing jobs such as Lena from DuckTales, that purple unicorn from my little pony, horse from centaur world and I think her voice fits nicely for the movie version of Amy Rose well at least for my version (scroll down to read my theory if you haven't) but out of all her roles when I thought of Amy was when she was singing "when he sees me" from the musical waitress and there are moments of her pitch tone when she sings that are totally Amy voice in my opinion also some of the lyrics fits what i thought of her for my movie theory where she is gives herself the task of finding Sonic after being told by the tarot cards that she needs to give the hedgehog hero the chaos emerald back to save the world and she still doesn't even know him or how he looks like but she dreams about it.

So you could say in Amy's case is even more of a personal whim of mine but wouldn't it be nice if she was voiced by Kimiko? I bet Amy would like earth musicals 💓

Random headcanons about pony hoof preferences just because I can and I'm avoiding my schoolwork

The statistics of ponies preferring to use their left or right forehoof over the other for tasks that require them varies by type of pony. Right-hoof ponies are more common, as it is with human handedness, but by a somewhat smaller margin.

Earth Ponies:

-about 70% are right-hooved -about 20-25% are left-hooved -about 5-10% are mixed-hooved or ambidextrous, preferring different hooves for different tasks or not having a notable preference whatsoever

Pegasi:

Since pegasi have to be balanced in order to fly properly, hoof preferences are often much weaker among them. Young pegasi may tend to drift in one direction or another when still learning to fly, but over time will learn to balance themselves and often see a reduced strength in hoof preference.

-about 35% of pegasi are mixed or ambidextrous to begin with, most commonly ambidextrous -about 40% are right-hooved -about 25% are left-hooved

Unicorns:

Along with their hooves, the direction of their horn spiral can go right (clockwise) or left (counterclockwise), with clockwise horns being more common. Unicorns with counterclockwise horns may face mild difficulty in learning magic when young but this discrepancy usually disappears by the time ponies get their cutie marks. As for hoof preference:

-about 80% of unicorns are right-hooved -about 15% are left-hooved -about 5% are mixed or ambidextrous

Not counting mixed/ambidextrous unicorns, as many as 97% will have the same hoof preference as the direction of the spiral of their horn. (Among mixed/ambidextrous unicorns, there seems to be a roughly even split between horn patterns.) This makes it very rare for a pony to be right-hooved with a counterclockwise horn, or left-hooved with a clockwise horn, although there are a few notable cases. (One famous historical example is Starswirl the Bearded, who was known to prefer his left hoof despite having a clockwise horn.) It is unclear whether unicorns will become more or less strongly preferenced in their hooves due to preferring to use magic, or whether that might vary on a case-by-case basis.

Alicorns are extremely uncommon and therefore are not included in these statistics. That being said, Celestia and Cadence are right-hooved with clockwise horns, and Luna and Twilight Sparkle are left-hooved with counterclockwise horns. (All alicorns note having a weaker hoof preference and Twilight especially noticed herself become more ambidextrous after becoming an alicorn.) Flurry Heart has a clockwise horn but is too young to demonstrate a hoof preference, although she will most likely be right-hooved.

Other thoughts: -Rainbow Dash is ambidextrous -Fluttershy is right-hooved (trained to have a weaker preference) -Scootaloo is left-hooved (due to her difficulties with flying, she maintains a stronger hoof preference than the average pegasus) -Applejack, Apple Bloom, and Pinkie Pie are all right-hooved -Big Mac is left-hooved -Trixie Lulamoon, Sunburst, Shining Armor, Rarity, and Sweetie Belle are right-hooved with clockwise horns -Starlight Glimmer is another rare example of a unicorn with opposing hoof preference and horn direction, being right-hooved while having a counterclockwise horn -As many as 70% of all Wonderbolts were born ambidextrous

Final note: I couldn't quite figure out what percentage of unicorns would need to be clockwise vs counterclockwise in order to fit the 97% match directions statistic and so on. I'm not quite mathematically skilled enough for that, so I hope you'll excuse the missing numbers.
