“I found the perfect place to go before our Halloween party.” Shloob confessed as PG were all sitting around waiting for him to say where they were going.
Every year PG hosted a Halloween party and it would rotate every year who was responsible for finding a location for it and from there everyone would set up everything and invites would be sent out at the beginning of October.
“And where is that?” Yasmin curiously asked from her spot on the couch next to Urban.
“It’s called Terror Heights and it’s an amusement park that’s Halloween themed.”
“I-..... now you already know that I do not do scary shit like that.” 2fo said while looking over at him and shaking his head.
“Stop being scared, it’s going to be fun.”
“Fun? By whose standards? I’m not interested in someone chasing me with a chainsaw!” Quiiso said while looking at Shloob.
“What the….? It says that they can come close to you, but they can’t touch you on the website.”
“I think we should go, it’ll be fun and then we can go to the mansion and have the Halloween party.”
“I don’t know about this. Why do I have such an uneasy feeling?”
“Because you’re a big baby who can’t go anywhere without her husband.” Ace answered while looking over at you.
“And? What about it? I have absolutely no shame. And does everyone have their costumes? We might as well wear them to the amusement park so that way we don’t have to worry about changing.”
“Yes! I’m going as Brat doll!” Luna exclaimed and Yasmin was immediately on board with that idea.
“Oooh, I did that last year. I’m going for a cowgirl and of course Urban is going as a cowboy.”
“So you can ride him like a rodeo later?” You asked while wiggling your eyebrows.
“Y/N!!!!”
“What? I didn’t say anything that wasn’t true! Shit, I’m about to do the same thing to Jack!”
“Here yall fucking go! Will yall cut it out just for tonight?”
“No.” You and Jack said both at the same time and he leaned over to kiss your forehead.
“Well I’m going as Captain America.” 2fo said and you smiled. The two of you had been doing some serious binge watching when it came to Marvel movies as of lately.
“I’m going as Audrey from Little Shop of Horrors.” Nicole added and you smiled with that being one of your favorite movies.
“Mine is simple. Michael Myers. A classic.” Ace said while smiling.
“I’m going as Prince. I got a whole wig and everything.”
“Shloob, I look forward to seeing that. You wearing the heels too?”
“You’ll find out later. No spoilers.”
“I’m surprised Jack and baby girl aren’t going as a pad and a tampon.”
“SIGMAAAAAA!” Urban yelled and everyone busted out laughing.
“What are you two even going as?” Quiiso asked while looking over at the two of you.
“I got me a Georgia peach just like Bowser.”
“MARIO AND PRINCESS PEACH! I LOVE IT!”  Yasmin exclaimed.
“I’m going as MJ.”
“Michael Jordan or Michael Jackson?”
“Heehee bitches!”
“What the actual fuck is wrong with you Nemo?” You said as you busted out laughing.
“Okay Quiiso that just leaves you. What are you going as?”
“Hamburglar from McDonalds!”
“I can’t wait to take pictures.”
.All of you were now walking into the amusement park ready to explore and you were holding onto Jack’s hand for dear life.
“Baby? Don’t tell me you’re scared already?”
“Shut up, Jackman. Not helping.”
“I’m going to be with you the entire time, mamas. Nothing bad is going to happen to you.”
“You promise?”
“Yes, I promise.”
“Will you two come on?! Yall are slowing us down already and Yasmin! Who told you to wear them tall ass heels to the amusement park? Ma’am what if we have to run?”
“A bitch can run in heels just fine and besides, Y/N’s heels are taller than mine!”
“I had to look cute!”
“Which you do baby.” Jack said as he leaned down to kiss you.
“CUT.THE.SHIT.NEOW!”
“Okay, is that the house of mirrors? Let’s go.”
“No, the fuck I’m not.”
“What the hell is wrong with yall? Nothing bad is going to happen, come on.”
Everyone followed Shloob into the house of mirrors and you spent time making funny faces at Luna who was laughing at you.
“Damn Y/N, this mirror captures your actual height.”
“Fuck all the way off 2fo before I kick your ass.” You said while you laughed and playfully pushed him.
Once all of you exited the house of mirrors, everyone was looking around for Nemo or should we say Michael Jackson.
“Where is Nemo?” You asked while looking around at the group and everyone shrugged.
“I coulda swore he was right behind me.”
“SEE??! I KNEW IT! THEY ABOUT TO PICK US OFF ONE BY ONE! WE ABOUT TO DIE!”
“Dramatic much, 2fo?”
“But we seriously need to find him. No man left behind.”
“Shit, it’s every man for his fucking self. Ain’t nobody tell his ass to get lost.”
“NICOLE!”
“DID I LIE!?!”
“Somebody has to go back in and get him.”
“Over my dead body. Somebody call him because issa no for me dawg.”
“Yall are terrible.” You said while whipping out your phone from your bra.
“Damn, Y/N, what else you got in there?”
“That concerns my husband and no one else. And my weed is in there” You said as you were now dialing Nemo’s number.
Straight to voicemail.
“I don’t understand, it went straight to voicemail.”
“Oh shit, here we go.”
“Will everyone calm down and act like they have some sense? Jack, go back and get him.”
“WHAT?! WHY ME?”
“NO! YOU AREN’T SENDING MY HUSBAND OFF TO BE KILLED!”
“WHY ARE YALL SO DRAMATIC? IT IS LITERALLY A BUNCH OF MIRRORS!”
“Then you go, Luna!”
“Fine!”
Just as Luna was about to turn around and go back, Nemo came from around the corner stuffing his face with cotton candy.
“Are you serious?! Where the hell did you go?!”
“To get cotton candy obviously.”
“And you didn’t think to tell us?! Or get us any?!”
“No, yall got legs and can walk over there just like I did.”
“I’m done with yall, anyway can we keep going? What’s that up ahead?”
“Don’t know but I saw a clown and Quiiso does not do clowns.”
“Why are you referring to yourself in the third person?”
“Does it matter? I SAW A CLOWN!”
“OMG I SHOULD HAVE DRESSED UP LIKE PENNYWISE, YOU’LL FLOAT TOO BITCH!”
“Y/N!!!”
“And Jack could dress up like Georgie. Oh yes, next year babe we’re doing it.”
“Oh, so I take it he didn’t even know about the other costume?” Yasmin asked you while raising her eyebrows.
“What other costume?” Jack curiously asked as everyone was making their way over to the haunted house.
“Umm…”
“She was going to be a dominatrix.”
“Fuck, that’s hot.”
“Well umm baby you still technically can do it later. I’m definitely down with the idea.”
“I-... will you two behave?!” Nicole exclaimed as screams were now heard from the haunted house in front of all of you.
“Nope.” You said as you hid behind Jack and Yasmin hid behind Urban.
“A bunch of babies, I swear. Let’s go!” Nicole said, trying to pry your fingers from around Jack’s waist.
“NO! YOU DON’T HEAR THEM SCREAMING?!”
“No one has died! Come on!”
“But how do you know that?”
“You are about to cut off your husband’s circulation from holding him so tight!”
“Fine.” You loosened your grip and followed behind Nicole while still holding Jack’s hand.
“Welcome to Terror Heights and I hope you enjoy your stay.” a lady who was dressed up as the corpse bride said as all of you entered into the house.
“Jack, you go first!”
“Yall been throwing me under the bus all night! Why the hell do I have to go first?!”
“Because you’re the tallest!”
“What the fuck does that have to do with anything?!”
“All of you out of my way.” Nicole stated and moved to the front with you and Jack following close behind.
It was quiet for a few minutes and all of you were beginning to feel uneasy.
“Nah, it’s too quiet. Some shit about to pop off.” 2fo said while looking around.
Just then you heard the familiar sound of a chainsaw.
“OH HELL NO!”
The next thing you knew, a guy with a chainsaw was literally running behind all of you.
Shloob fell, Nemo tripped over him, Luna was nowhere to be found and you figure that she ran off awhile ago, Yasmin was screaming and ditched Urban and ran for her life with Urban yelling at her that she left him, Quiiso and 2fo were trying to duck and dodge the dude with the chainsaw, and Ace was doing mission impossible rolls on the floor while you, Jack and Nicole took off running leaving everyone else behind.
“I AM NEVER FUCKING DOING THIS AGAIN!” You said as you were now running with one hand holding your dress and your shoes in your other hand.
“Almost there, AHHH SHIT GO FASTER! HE’S COMING, HE’S COMING!” Nicole said and she didn’t have to tell you twice.
All three of you found the door that exited the house and led back out to the amusement park and Nicole immediately pushed it open with the two of you tumbling out behind her.
“That’s it. I want to leave NEOW!”
“Imma kill Shloob.”
It was about ten minutes before the rest of PG and Yasmin came out looking distraught.
“How the fuck did yall just leave us?!”
“You and Nemo fell. It’s every man for himself!”
“And Yasmin just left Urban to fend for himself.”
“Look, he wasn’t moving fast enough for me. I was like see you on the other side, hopefully.”
The annual Private Garden house party was now underway at the location that Shloob picked and everything was going perfectly. From the spooky alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks you made, bobbing for apples, finger foods that were shaped like actual body parts and the amazing decorations, you were pretty proud of yourself.
“Baby girl?”
“Yes, smush?” You asked as you turned towards Jack and he looked a little uneasy.
“Umm do you get like a weird feeling being in this house?”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean something about it just feels off to me.”
“Don’t tell me my baby is paranoid.” You said while eyeing him.
“Nah babe. I’m serious, something doesn’t seem right.”
“I’m sure it’s nothing. Come on and try to have fun.” You said while reaching up to kiss his cheek and going back over to where Luna, Yasmin, and Nicole were.
“Nas! Who are you dressed as?” Druski asked, clearly confused.
“Ice Spice! You can’t tell?”
“Obviously not, that’s why I asked.”
“And who are you?”
“Drake, obviously.”
“I-... I don’t see it. You look like the security guard I saw at the hotel the other day.”
“NAS!”
“WHAT? WHAT I SAY?”
“Have yall noticed that the lights have been flickering on and off since we got here?”
“It is an old house.”
“But, something feels weird.” Luna said while looking around and taking in her surroundings.
“I said the same thing.” Jack confessed while looking over at her.
“Yall stop trying to scare me. You know how I am.” You said while eyeing the both of them.
“Baby, that is the last thing I’m trying to do, I just…”
“Umm so when I was dropping off things here earlier in the week, I would set them in one spot and when I came back they would be somewhere else.”
“Oh hell nah, absolutely not.”
“And this place is not too bad during the day time but it still felt weird and creepy so I knew that this would be the perfect place to have the party.”
“I’m not going to be able to sleep tonight.”
“You weren’t sleeping anyway because I’m tearing that ass up later.” Jack said before leaning down to kiss you.
“Got damn it! Not now!”
“She has to put her dominatrix outfit to good use! Jack you just might cum in your pants when you see her in it.”
“YASMIN!”
“WHAT?! SHE LOOKS SO GOOD IN IT! WHAT DO I HAVE TO LIE FOR? SHE HAS A WHIP AND CHAINS!”
“What is this about a dominatrix outfit I hear?” Clay said while making his way over to where everyone was.
“Favorite Harlow child!”
“No, no, and no. Back up from my Georgia peach NEOW!”
“It's not my fault she loves me more.”
“You wish.”
“She confessed this info months ago.”
“Okay, you two calm down.”
“Imma beat his ass later.”
It was now around 3 am and a few of you were cleaning up and taking down decorations that you wanted to use for next year. You and Jack were gathering things up to take them to the car when the unexpected happened.
"Baby…. Did you? Did you see that?"
"Mm hmm and you know good and damn well black people don't do ghosts."
“I told you that something wasn’t right about this place.”
“We need to hurry up and get out of here, now. I am not for the nonsense tonight.”
Jack made his way to the front door and tried to open it with no success.
“Baby, the door isn’t opening.”
“What do you mean?!”
“IT’S NOT OPENING! AT ALL!”
“FUCK I HATE THIS. I HATE THIS SO MUCH.”
Everyone came to see what all of the commotion was and you explained to them what was going on and what had happened.
You took it upon yourself to pull up your phone and do a little research and when you had finished reading a few articles, you wanted to kill Shloob.
"SHLOOB THIS PLACE IS ACTUALLY HAUNTED?!? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK!?!? WE GAVE YOU ONE DAMN JOB!" You screamed and everyone began to freak out.
"I DIDN’T KNOW! THE REVIEWS WERE GOOD!"
"THE REVIEWS!?!? SHLOOB YOU DIDN’T SCROLL DOWN FAR ENOUGH! PEOPLE HAVE SAID TO STAY AWAY FROM HERE!"
"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!"
"DRUSKI SHUT UP! NO WE AREN'T!"
"THE DOOR ISN'T FUCKING OPENING SO HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO GET OUT?!"
"Y/N! FLASH THE GHOST!"
"QUIISO THAT HAS TO BE THE DUMBEST THING THAT YOU HAVE EVER FUCKING SAID AND MY WIFE  ISN'T FLASHING ANYBODY BUT ME!"
"WHAT IF THE GHOST IS A GIRL?!"
"WHO KNOWS SHE MIGHT BE A LESBIAN!"
"WILL EVERYONE STOP YELLING AND LET’S THINK FOR A SECOND!" You said while trying to calm everyone down.
“WHAT IS THERE TO THINK ABOUT? WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!”
“DRUSKI GET A HOLD OF YOURSELF!”
“Okay so apparently the ghost who haunts this place is named Amelia Wallace. She passed away here and apparently her husband went off to war and never came back and she was pregnant and a whole bunch of other shit but yeah.”
“I don’t care about her fucking back story, I want to go home!”
“Oh shit and it’s the witching hour! It’s 3 am.”
“It was nice knowing yall. I had a good twenty something years on this earth.”
“Luna! Quit it!”
“We just have to figure out how to get out.”
“Windows!”
“Nah, she’ll probably close the shit on top of us and cut us in half!”
“CLAYYYY!”
“Did I lie?”
“Just let me try the door again.” Nicole said and walked over to it. She turned the knob and it opened with no problem.
“That was too easy.”
“Welp, it’s been not fun. So LET’S GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!”
As Nicole held the door open, the rest of you were literally throwing things out of the door to put in the car later not wanting to risk getting locked in once again.
2fo and Quiiso started to load up the car while Nicole was waiting for Yasmin to come out since she hadn’t seen her. Just then she heard a voice from behind her.
“Won’t you stay? I could use the company.”
All of the color drained from Nicole’s face as she turned around and was met with a young woman in 1800s clothing staring back at her.
“You have got to be fucking kidding me.”
Nicole then turned around and made a run for it towards where everyone’s cars were parked.
You and Yasmin then looked over at her confused.
“Nic? You okay? You look like you’ve just seen a ghost.”
“Because I just did.”
Everyone proceeded to turn around and look at her in disbelief
“WHAT?!”
“Next year I’m staying home and eating candy.” You said while looking up at your husband who simply nodded his head in agreement.

Phantom X Peach (again)
Me: "Alright, let's get right back into my current project!"
[sees posts of Phantom and Princess Peach]
My Brain:
Tumblr media
Me: *defeated sigh* *clicks Create New Post*
Welp, here we are again! Another Phantom X Peach story! I can't help myself, I absolutely adore this ship. 💜
Since the last story was hurt/comfort themed, I figured I'd continue this trope by switching the roles! Both Princess Peach and Phantom have their bad days, and this time it's poor Phantom.😔
For @salamifuposey, @kindpopstar, @strawbunniiee and everyone else who wants to read it!
[Content Includes: Themes of Depression and Anxiety and Suggestive Flirting (no smut!)]
---
It was a slow day at the Mushroom Kingdom. Nothing special was happening. At least there were no surprise kidnappings from Bowser or any other signs of danger. Princess Peach, not wanting to sit around all day, decided to take a walk outside. She ensured the people within her castle that she will be safe and will be only admiring the land. Of course, this was partially true. She will be safe, but not while within her own kingdom. Instead, Peach followed the path that led all the way to Spooky Trails. When she arrived at Phantom's theater, she was greeted by a familiar face.
The red-haired woman at the masquerade. The peasant woman from that very night.
---
Peach: "Hello?"
[The red-haired woman notices Peach, gives her a warm smile, and waves.]
????: "Good afternoon, your highness. I wasn't expecting you to come over. My name is Salome. I didn't get to properly introduce myself to you last time we met."
Peach: "It's nice to meet you, Salome." *bows* "May I ask if Phantom is inside?"
Salome: "Yes, he is. In fact, I'm so glad you came! Our master has become terribly upset all of a sudden."
Peach: "Oh no! What happened to him? Is he alright?"
Salome: "I'm not exactly sure. He has had these moments before, but almost none of us know exactly how to completely help him out. Our master was last seen entering into his boudoir. He didn't say a word to any of us. I don't believe he is physically ill, but it is some sort of sickness. Perhaps you can help him? No, wait - I shouldn't do that to a guest, especially one that's royalty."
Peach: "No. No need to apologize. If Phantom is distressed, then I'll do my best to help him feel better."
Salome: "Ah, you're so kind, Princess. Just like how he describes you."
[Salome invites Peach into the theater, entering down into the underground lair where Phantom and his theater troupe reside. Once again, Peach is inside the large and luxurious hallways of the lair, this time going down to Phantom's Boudoir. The door to this room is just as massive as the Ballroom entrance. Salome knocks.]
Phantom: *from behind the door* "Leave me be!"
Salome: "Master, is there something wrong?"
Phantom: "I'll be fine... I just need some peace and quiet."
[Peach approaches the door and knocks gently.]
Peach: "Phantom? It's me. Salome told me what happened... are you sure you're okay?"
Phantom: "Princess?"
[A moment of silence.]
Phantom: "Salome, if you don't mind, would you kindly let the Princess in? I want to see her in private."
Salome: "Yes, Master."
[Salome pushes the door just slightly, so that Peach can enter the Boudoir. The door closes behind and Peach is inside the room. The Boudoir is just as beautiful as the rest of the lair. Lavish decorations fill the walls, from portraits to curtains to ornamental decals. A multitude of candles light the darkness, all of them leading up to a massive pile of pillows and blankets. There lying in this pile is Phantom, his head placed in between his crossed arms. His cobalt blue coat and red vest are gone. The only thing he’s wearing is his ivory poet blouse, slightly unbuttoned, revealing his shoulder and upper chest. Peach couldn’t help but stare. She has never seen Phantom without his coat and vest before. As she approaches him, Phantom lifts his head to look at his guest, revealing his weary, tear-stained eyes. Peach stops. She recognizes those red eyes from the first night they reunited.]
Phantom: “Ah, my love... Do forgive my appearance. I should have freshened up a bit before you came in.” *softly chuckles*
Peach: “Phantom, what’s wrong?”
[Phantom slowly rises from his position. Peach walks up to him, reaching out for his cheek.]
Peach: “Have you been crying?”
Phantom: *takes a deep breath* “Oh, just a little bit, that’s all...”
[Peach awaits his answer. Phantom looks into her eyes, taking another deep breath.]
Phantom: “... I had another breakdown. I was outside before you came here, to get some fresh air. This place gets stuffy once you’ve spent many days inside. I thought maybe I could venture outside Spooky Trails for inspiration. But instead, I found... memories.”
Peach: “Memories?”
Phantom: “Reminders, more like it. They mock me, even after all this time. They appear in my mind every now and then, but... this time was worse than before.”
Peach: “Tell me about them.”
[Lifting her arms up, inviting Phantom to come into her arms, Peach gives him a pitiful expression. Phantom slowly crawls, wrapping his arms around her and placing his head onto her lap.]
Phantom: “These memories... they remind me of my loneliness. My strangeness. How I was - is - met with rejection by my fellow Rabbids. When I was outside, I found a few Rabbids playing, mindlessly causing havoc as usual. I could do the same, but in the end, I found such activities to be senseless. I find no real purpose doing those things. But, as I was watching them, I could not help but yearn for such a connection. Yes, I have my theater troupe, but...”
[Phantom pauses. He looks up at Peach.]
Phantom: “Oh, I don’t believe I’ve told you about them.”
Peach: “What about them?”
Phantom: “They are not real, exactly. I made them.”
Peach: “Wait... you made these people?”
Phantom: “Yes. Along with making masterpieces, I study magic on the side. Since the... battle years ago, I discovered that I have more powers than I initially thought. I guess it makes sense, considering that I am not only part Rabbid, I am also part Boo.”
Peach: “Hmmm... Boos do have many magical abilities, but it varies from each individual Boo. I learned about them when I was a little girl. I agree, it does make sense.”
Phantom: “Dolores, Stefan, Natasha and Ophelia, Salome... all of them are not real. They’re actually mannequins - puppets controlled by my magic.”
Peach: “So my eyes weren’t deceiving me back then! I was going to ask you after that masquerade performance, but... well...” *blushes*
Phantom: *lifts one eyebrow* “Hehe... but you were overwhelmed?” *caresses her cheek down to her chin* “With passion?”
[Peach’s face becomes even redder. Phantom softly laughs at her bashfulness.]
Phantom: “You are so precious! Ah... I could just kiss you!”
[Suddenly, Peach is pulled into Phantom’s embrace, her lips being locked into his. She melts, sinking deeper into his kiss. Then Phantom rolls over, landing on top of her. He finally stops, taking a moment for both of them to catch their breath.]
Phantom: “My apologizes... I... got carried away.”
Peach: “I see you’re feeling much better.”
Phantom: “I am.”
Peach: “Phantom...” *holding his face close to her* “You are not alone. You may be different, but I would not say you’re ‘strange.’ ‘Unique’ would be a better term. Others may not understand you, but I do. I understand you, even if there’s plenty of things I haven’t learned about you yet, Like your magic. In fact, if they give you a chance, I believe you would be accepted outside Spooky Trails.”
Phantom: “....”
Peach: “What you call ‘strangeness’ is what I call ‘wonderful.’ Amazing... Alluring... Beguiling... Captivating... Enchanting.”
Phantom: “Ah, Princess! Now you’re making me blush! That is supposed to be my job!”
[Peach laughs, a huge smile across her face.]
Peach: “Don’t you know? I hold magic abilities as well! I can make even the most powerful gentlemen fall to their knees.”
Phantom: “Oh?”
Peach: “Yes, and I just did.”
Phantom: “Well, how can I disagree? How can I be so powerful when you make me so weak?”
[They lock themselves into a passionate kiss again.]

I wrote something new for my Brotherswap AU. This time, it’s some Mario x Peach fluff! I’m not used to writing any of these characters at all, so I apologize if I messed up their personalities or dialogue.
I tried to convey that Mario and Luigi are still themselves, despite some changes to their personalities caused by their different circumstances in this universe. I don’t know how well that got across. (Just in case the story didn’t make it clear enough: Mario only acts shy around Peach, which of course is because of his crush on her.)
Oh, and for anyone who isn’t familiar with this AU: basically, Mario and Luigi’s roles are switched. Luigi is the hero, and Mario is the one who doesn’t get much attention.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I wanted this to take place during a party but I wasn’t sure what to have the party be for (I didn’t want it to be another “rescued from Bowser” party), so I randomly went with “the summer solstice”.
Story is under the cut. Hope you enjoy it!
--
It was the night of the summer solstice. Every year, the Mushroom Kingdom held a festival for this occasion at Peach's castle.
The castle was crowded that night. It seemed as if the entire kingdom had come to celebrate. There were so many people there that some of them had to stand outside. Fortunately, the castle staff was prepared for this, and had food and activities available both indoors and outdoors.
Peach scanned the crowd, looking for one specific person. She was a little worried that he wouldn't be here, given his anxiety around large crowds. However, he had promised that he would come, and he wasn't one to go back on his word. Finally, Peach spotted a man in green.
"Luigi!" she shouted with a wave.
Luigi looked up, and smiled when he saw her. "Hey, Princess!"
Peach went over to him and gave him a hug. "It's good to see you, especially when I'm not being kidnapped."
Luigi hugged her back. "Yeah, it's nice to have a break for once."
They let go of each other, but kept smiling.
"How have you been?" Peach asked.
"I've been doing okay. I've been very busy, though. There was a huge pipe problem in Toad Town that everyone was expecting me to fix. Good thing Mario was there to help!"
"Where is Mario, anyway?" Peach asked. "Did he stay home again? He's been doing that so much lately."
Luigi grinned triumphantly. "Nope! I got him to come with me this time."
Peach's heart fluttered. "Really? Where is he?"
"Probably eating all of the cake," Luigi said with a chuckle. "We should go find him before there's none left."
Sure enough, Mario was stuffing his face with cake.
"Come on!" a toad groaned. "Leave some for the rest of us, uh...Marvin, was it?"
"It's Mario," Luigi corrected.
Mario turned around. "Hey, Bro!"
His demeanor turned shy when he saw who was with Luigi. "Oh, and...P-Princess."
Peach smiled. "Hello, Mario! It's good to see you. I'm really glad you came."
Mario fidgeted with his gloves. "It's good to see you too."
An awkward silence followed.
Peach coughed. "Luigi, would you mind taking care of that...thing we talked about?"
Luigi looked confused. "What thing, Princess?"
"You know…" Peach glanced back and forth between Luigi and Mario.
"Oh." Luigi realized what Peach was trying to do. "Right, right! I'll go, uh...do the thing."
He gave her a quick wink before running off (most likely planning to hide from the crowd in the bathroom again).
"What was that about?" Mario asked.
"Oh, nothing." Peach made a beckoning motion. "Mario, will you please come with me? I want to talk to you."
"Me?" Mario winced at how his voice cracked when he said that. He cleared his throat. "S-sure, Princess."
He finished the last bit of his cake, then practically jumped over to Peach.
"Okie dokie! Lead the way, Your Majesty!"
Peach smiled. "This way, please."
Peach led Mario through the castle. They soon came to a flight of stairs.
"I've never been to this part of the castle before," Mario said curiously.
"I don't bring many people here."
Peach glanced around to make sure no one was watching, then grinned mischievously. She leaned down towards Mario's ear.
"I'll race you to the top," she whispered.
Mario grinned back. "You're on, Princess!"
The two stood at the very bottom of the stairs.
"Ready…" Peach said. "Go!"
The two began to run up the stairs. Well, Peach ran. Mario's method was to use his signature jump, which allowed him to climb multiple stairs at a time. He may not have been able to jump as high as Luigi, but it was still rather impressive.
Mario reached the top first.
"Yahoo!" he cheered, doing a victory pose.
Peach giggled. "Oh, darn! You win, Mario."
When she got to the top, she motioned for Mario to follow her again. They soon came to a set of double doors. Peach opened the doors, and the two stepped out onto a balcony. They were greeted with a cool breeze, a strong contrast to the blistering heat they had endured during the day.
"This part of the castle gives me the best view of the stars," said Peach.
Mario looked up at the sky, eyes filled with wonder. "Mama Mia…"
"Beautiful, isn't it?" Peach asked softly.
Mario nodded. Then he looked back at her. "Oh, yeah, didn't you want to talk to me about something?"
Peach nodded. She was a little nervous, but she couldn't put this off any longer. She took a deep breath before she began.
"Mario...I'm sure you've heard those rumors about Luigi and me."
"Oh. Yeah, I have." Mario averted his gaze, his expression neutral. "Luigi, uh...he said none of that was true."
Peach nodded. "People like to speculate about us being a couple, but we're just friends. Luigi is a great guy, but he's not really my type."
"Really?" Mario's eyes shifted nervously. "So, uh...what is your type? I-if you don't mind me asking, I mean."
Peach smiled. "Well...there is a guy that I like. He's a little shorter. He's outgoing and energetic, and loves a challenge. He's very kind and selfless, and is always willing to help those in need. He's very supportive of his brother. He absolutely loves cake. And, he has the most adorable smile."
"Wow," Mario replied. "Sounds like a great guy. Does he know you like him?"
Peach blinked. Is he teasing me, or is he really that oblivious?
"I’m not sure if he knows."
"Well, you should tell him! I'm sure he would like you back."
"Oh?" Peach playfully raised an eyebrow. "Why do you think that?"
"Well…" Mario looked down at his hands. "You're very kind and compassionate, always looking out for your people. You have a pretty voice, and a cute laugh. You're really fun to go kart racing with, or play party games with, or do anything with. A-and, you're really beautiful too. You're a wonderful person, and anyone would be lucky to be loved by you."
Mario was blushing, and Peach was pretty sure she was too.
Wow...he really feels that way about me?
"S-sorry, was that weird?" Mario asked.
"Not at all. I think that's really sweet of you to say." Peach walked closer to Mario. "So...you think I should tell him?"
Mario nodded.
"Hmmm, maybe I'll do it now," Peach continued. "He's here at the party right now, so this is a good chance."
"He is? You should go find him, then!"
Oh dear, Peach thought. He really is that oblivious.
"I don't have to."
"Huh?" Mario looked confused. "What do you mean?"
Peach gently took Mario's hand in her own. "Because he's right here."
Mario stared blankly at their intertwining hands for a minute, as if trying to comprehend the words he had just heard. Then his eyes went wide.
"...Oh. Oh."
Peach giggled. "I like you, Mario. I like your laugh, your smile, your voice, your energy, your loyalty to your brother, everything. I think you're a great person, and that you deserve more appreciation than you get."
"You...you really think so?" Mario asked softly.
He's not used to being complimented by people other than his brother, is he? Peach realized with a pang of sadness.
She knelt down beside Mario. Gently, she removed his hat. She was amused at his confused look.
"Yes, Mario. I mean every word.”
And with that, she planted a kiss on his nose.
Mario's face turned almost as red as his hat, eyes wide in surprise. Peach giggled. Once the shock wore off for Mario, a bashful smile formed on his face.
"Th-thank you, Princess. That means a lot, coming from you."
Peach ruffled Mario's hair with her free hand. "There's no need to be so formal when it's just us. You can call me Peach."
"Okay, Pr--uh, Peach."
Peach stood back up, still holding Mario's hat.
"Can I have that back now?" Mario asked.
"Hmmm, I dunno…" Peach said with a teasing smirk.
She took off her crown and put the hat on her head. "How do I look?"
Mario giggled. "Not bad!"
Gosh, he's so cute, Peach thought.
"Here." She placed her crown on Mario's head. "Now you can be the princess!"
Mario grinned. "For my first act as princess, I declare that everyday shall be National Pizza Day!"
Peach bowed. "It shall be done, your majesty!"
They both laughed.
"Ahem."
They both turned towards the sound of the voice. Toadsworth was standing in the doorway, tapping his foot.
"Princess, the guests are getting restless. They keep asking where you are. Please come back downstairs as soon as possible, before they begin to fear that you've been captured again."
"I’ll be right there, Toadsworth." Peach turned to Mario. "Well, this was fun while it lasted. We'll have to pick a less busy night to go on a date."
Mario nodded. "I'd like that."
After swapping hats again, the two followed Toadsworth back downstairs. The old toad's suspicious glances in Mario's direction didn't go unnoticed by either of them.
When they returned to the party, they quickly spotted Luigi at the snack table. He waved at them. Peach gave him a wink. He beamed in return.
"Will you excuse me for a moment?" Mario asked Peach.
Peach nodded. "Of course."
As Peach went to see her other guests, Mario went over to Luigi.
"I saw that." Mario crossed his arms. "You two planned this, didn't you?"
Luigi smiled sheepishly. "Heh, looks like you caught me, Bro. After you told me you liked her, I talked to her and found out that she liked you too. So I encouraged her to confess to you, and I suggested she do it during the festival."
"So you didn't just drag me out here because you thought I needed to get out more. You wanted to set me up with Pe--the princess."
Luigi nodded, looking rather proud of himself.
Mario smiled softly. "Thanks, Weeg."
Luigi hugged him lightly. "Anything for my Big Bro!"
He let Mario go. "Now go find your girlfriend. I'm sure you want to spend some time with her."
Mario's heart skipped a beat at the word "girlfriend".
I guess she really is my girlfriend now, isn't she?
He waved as he walked away. "Catch you later, Weeg. And make sure there's some cake left later!"
"As if you haven't had enough already," he heard Luigi mumble.

sugar daddy! mario x cat boy! @shinsouplays
(not proofread)
mario used to have a happy life. keywords used to. he missed his best friend for life, luigi, who literally got scared to death. mario had told him he was concerned about his obsession with the haunted mansion but luigi just didn’t listen. his companion yoshi mysteriously disappeared after a big argument with his girlfriend at the time birdo. toad and toadette were tired of being in the kingdom all the time which resulted in them running away together. Mario missed all of them, but who did he miss the most? his wife- well, ex wife peach. he thought everything they had was genuine. until he found out that she was sleeping another man- that man was bowser. apparently peach was too scared to reject mario and was seeing a man in a lizard costume behind his back. she had used the “kidnappings” as an excuse. and he believed it. once he found out about her backstabbing he banished her from the kingdom, never to be seen again. he didn’t want to do it, because deep down in his heart the fire still burned aflame for her. but he knew he had to let her go, so he did. mario spent his time dwelling in the kingdom, a lot of the time being seen either crying or eating a lot of comfort meals. but because toad and toadette ran away, no one was there to check up on him. except for his old friend waluagi. it had been years since waluagi had seen his old pal and wanted to check up on him.
little did he know, that call would change his friends life.
brrrring! brrring! brrring!
mario ignored the ringing, his face smooshed down into his dirty pillow. he had cried the night before again, and felt absolutely no energy to pick it up. until it rang once more.
brrrring! brrring! brrring! brrr-
mario fiercely grabbed his phone and answered it without looking at the caller id.
“what the hell do you want?” mario asked in an annoyed tone. no one ever called him, why now?
it was silent for a moment and mario was about to hang up before he heard a gruff voice from the phone. “ah, hello? hello? is this, er, mario?” the gruff voice asked. wait a minute. mario recognized that voice. “WALUAGI?” he asked in surprised, sitting straight up so the blankets uncovered his hairy chest. again, no one had ever called him. he thought waluigi retired and lived at a nursing home.
a loud laugh erupted from the phone, causing mario to slightly pull the phone away from his big ass ear. “yeah! mario, how’s it goin? haven’t seen you, since.. er, the uh, peach days.” waluigi said, the enthusiasm in his voice going down at the end. even though mario was still sensitive about that topic, he was focused on his old pal calling him after years of no contact. he cleared his throat awkwardly. “er, yeah, i think so.” he said with a fake chuckle. “Why don’t i stop by the kingdom so we could chat huh? bring some of your favorite pasta, how about that?” waluigi suggested. he wanted to see how mario turned out honestly. people always spread rumors about how mario let himself go and became a downer but waluigi wanted to see that for himself. mario wasn’t expecting the offer though. mario usually wasn’t a self conscious person- again, until the whole peach situation- and he admits he got bigger and his mustache has gotten a bit wild. mario didn’t want his friend to see him like that, he wanted his friend to think, “wow, mario hasn’t changed since i’ve seen him!”
“Er, how about next week? I’ve got, uh, a lot of.. cleaning up to do! rabbits trashed the place.” mario said with a sigh, rolling his eyes. he feigned annoyance as if waluigi could see him. waluigi sensed that mario was lying, but shook the feeling off. “Heh, good luck with that bud. See you next saturday?” “next saturday, mhm.” mario confirmed, swinging his legs over the bed to slide his feet into his house slippers. “Got it. See you saturday, mario.” waluigi said gruffly, hanging up before mario even got a chance to respond. hearing a small beep, he threw his phone beside him and sighed. “It’s gonna be a long week.”
and he was right.
he worked out and got back into shape (listen ik that’s not realistic but it’s fucking fiction about mario and cat boy kouda alright) and even cleaned up a little bit. his mustache was trimmed and shiny again, and plus he fight into his old overalls and red long sleeves. he had a bit of brightness and life in his big blue eyes again, feeling new and improved. he had even made a little meal for him and waluigi. pancakes, bacon that was a little burnt, and some scrambled eggs with fresh orange juice. mario tried as much as he could to cook, as he was used to toad making his food. mario was just finishing setting the last glass of orange juice down when he heard a knock at the door. “coming!” mario said, hurrying to the kingdom door. he open it, revealing a hunched over old man in purple long sleeves and some overalls. even though his mustache pointed down instead of being high and pointy, you could still tell it was him.
“Waluigi!” he gave the fellow old man a hug. Mario would never admit it, but having arms around him felt nice and warm. “Long time no see, huh?” waluigi joked. they both chuckled, until mario pat waluigi on the back. “come on in, come on in, i made food!”
- time skip 🤩 -
“a what baby?” mario asked waluigi, confused. “a sugar baby. I think it’ll be, er, beneficial to you.” waluigi grumbled. Mario sighed, facing the computer in front of him. He was on http://SugarHoney.com, a website for sugar babies and sugar mommies/daddies to find each other. “How will giving someone my money benefit me?” waluigi laughed. “you won’t be the only one giving. they’ll give you love and support in return.” mario didn’t seem convinced, waluigi could tell by the “what the hell” look on his face. waluigi sighed. “Just look at the profiles, lots of cute boys and girls there yeah?” he suggested, leaning back into the chair. Mario sighed. “Alright.”
and mario scrolled and scrolled and scrolled. “There’s no one interesting enough here.” mario complained.
“Give it here!” waluigi said in annoyance, tugging the computer away from him. “That’s because you’re not looking at the premium people.” waluigi grumbled after looking at the profiles. “here.” waluigi clicked on the premium tab. the premium tab was exclusively for the, how should i say it, *interesting* people on the website. mario sighed, grabbing the computer to search profiles once again. a few minutes passed, and mario still hadn’t found anyone that interested him. his eyes were still glued to the screen though. “waluigi, i don’t think that anybody- mama mia!” if the 😍emoji was real, that would be marios face.
arkouda chisaki.
major.
loves pasta.
cat boy.
he had just found the perfect one for him.
——
arkouda was sitting in the drivers seat of his car with his friends, waiting to be next in line at wendy’s. “soo why did you decide to be a sugar baby again?”
sisi asked. “do you see how much money they make sisi?” even though the question was rhetorical, sisi shook her head. kouda rolled with it anyway. “a lot. a whole lot.” he answered, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel. “I wanna be a sugar baby.” jailani announced randomly, obviously intrigued. Kouda sighed. “Lani, you’re a minor. You can’t do that.” “No no no, but what if i just support them from a distance with encouraging words and they give me money!” “I would much rather get frog stuffed animals than money.” Khloe added, holding her own giant stuffed frog. Kouda only laughed. He pulled up to the drive thru of wendy’s, putting his car in park. “Alright, what do y’all want?” Kouda asked everyone, scratching his cat boy ears (🤩). “A strawberry lemonade!!”sisi answered with a warm smile on her face. “Just a sprite please!” khloe said, poking her head in the middle of sisi and kouda. “Baconator!“ lani responded.
After he ordered everyone’s food along with his chicken sandwich and a cherry mello yello, he drove by a little spot in the woods he knew of. kouda got out of the car, holding the bags of food while sisi and khloe held their drink and lani held a pink and white picnic blanket. They all headed towards their usual hang out spot in a comfortable silence, nearing closer and closer the clearing. lani set down the blanket, mumbling about how if she feels a bug on her she’ll sob. sisi and khloe laughed, setting their drinks down where they were going to sit. “Bugs aren’t that bad lani!” sisi said, sitting down behind her drink. “Yeah dude, they’re adorable.” kouda said, setting the bags down in the middle. Lani rolled her eyes, ignoring the twos words.
soon everyone was happily enjoying their meal/drinks, talking about trauma, character anons, memes and shit about each other. yknow, the normal stuff. until someone’s phone goes off.
Sisi looks at everyone like 👀 because she put her phone on silent. khloe took out her phone and checked her notifications, but quickly put it back away. “nope!” lani shook her head without even caring to look. “my ringtone isn’t boring like that.” she huffed. kouda rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone. he got one notification.

Finding You, a King Boo x Bowser x Princess Peach x Sheik fic
(Belated Day 6 ‘cause it was so long that the last day will be artwork)
Summary: Princess Peach goes missing one day, and though it is Bowser’s fault, he did NOT kidnap her this time, she fell into a portal that went to Hyrule, and so King Boo and Bowser team up to go find her.
Rating: T
Warnings: Mild swearing from Bowser. Oh whoops I made this a foursome. and this is all actually LOOSELY based on Superblooper’s Chalkboard Moon
They had been lucky for quite some time now, for two months to be exact, and Bowser hadn’t broken through his Peach amnesia despite forgetting why he tended to pick a fight with Mario all the time in the first place. At the time of that particular rescue on King Boo’s part, Princess Peach didn’t dare reveal the true identity of her savior, and instead wove a tale of a small rebellion within Bowser’s ranks and in the end a very strong Paratroopa had dropped her off on her balcony.
However despite all of this, she still managed to go missing one day, and King Boo was desperate to find her before the Mario brothers did. The brothers and a search team of every castle guard on hand were constantly searching the woods just past the royal gardens. It was curious to the ghostly king as to why they all searched there since it wasn’t anywhere close to his territory, and he had already searched the woods that were his in case she decided to pay him a visit this time instead of the other way around.
Regardless, he did join the search from the shadows and managed to tread where everyone else simply avoided except for two people he didn’t expect.
He was drawn in by the cries of Bowser Jr. through a rather large section of brambles, and found the young prince trying in vain to move his father who looked rather pitiful as he was kneeling on his knees and completely in a daze, the kind that looked like he did something that he regretted.
“Hello there, Junior.” King Boo greeted first and foremost before finally having a chat with his old friend and fellow monarch.
“Uncle KB! Please help me snap Papa out of it! He’s been like this since he chased Mama Peach into that tree and it swallowed her up! I’m sure she’s fine but he’s not listening to me!” Junior pleaded sadly. King Boo couldn’t help but smile at the nickname the little prince gave him, but he had perked up right away at the information that she had been ‘swallowed up’ by the tree Bowser was gazing airily at.
“I’ll do my best, Junior, and I’ll even help get your Mama Peach out of that tree. Now, do me a small favor and go make sure no one finds this place, we wouldn’t want them rescuing her prematurely when we rescue her ourselves, alright?” King Boo requested gently. Junior was happy to help in any way and dashed off after a very cheerful ‘Ok!’
As soon as the little scamp was well out of ear shot, the kings could finally address each other properly.
“Bowser.”
“Boo.” Bowser growled but quite weakly in his exhausted sadness.
“I see you remember her finally.” The ghost king had to point out the obvious for the sake of getting that card out on the table.
“And whose fault is it for making me forget her of all things in the first place? Why’d you even do it?” Bowser retorted sounding genuinely hurt.
“I gave you an implicated hint before I took your memories and just nearly gave myself away from merely glancing at her, and you still haven’t figured it out?” King Boo countered, knowing Bowser, as bone headed as he was most of the time when his ego was in the way, could be smart when it came to reading between the lines when it counted.
“You love her too then, don’t you?” The Koopa King finally realized in a slow, calculated sigh.
“With every fiber of my undead heart.” King Boo quipped back without hesitance.
“You coulda told me you know.” Bowser said off handedly.
“And risk your notoriously jealous wrath? Not a chance in a Putrid Piranha infested jungle with Fuzzies of all kinds on the side!” King Boo countered.
“Alright, I know how I can be, but I woulda understood once I got over it. She’s pretty great, right?” Bowser scoffed in knowing how he could be in the eyes of others, and then asked knowingly.
“Wonderful.” King Boo sighed before remembering something that he had to ask. “What made you remember her?”
“In short, seeing her again. Now for the long explanation, it just didn’t make sense to me to fight Mario over and over for petty revenge alone, and for the life of me I couldn’t remember who was ruling the Mushroom Kingdom, so I came over to have a looksee and it all came back to me the second I saw her.” Bowser explained, sounding genuinely remorseful as if he had been enlightened to her side of the situations he put her through time and time again. “I….also realize I’ve put her through a lot, and I tried to apologize when everything came back to me but as soon as I could get my bearings she was already running ten feet ahead of me and somehow ended up falling into that tree, though Junior’s description was also pretty accurate of what it looked like.”
“You should be sorry, I’ve been protecting her from you in her dreams almost every night for the past four months or so, and very rarely is it any other villain that has held her hostage including a certain bat-like fellow you seemed to have teamed up with at one point!” King Boo berated his fellow monarch as if he were a foolish younger sibling.
“Antasma.” Bowser growled with a weird mix of anger and pride. “I managed to betray him before he ever had the chance to betray me.” He finished with a toothy grin. Then he remember his little situation with Peach and his ego deflated as he poked his two pointer fingers together in embarrassed shame. “Oh, and uh, do you think Peachy will ever forgive me?”
“Good for you for one-uping an amateur. And absolutely not, but its ok, because she won’t forgive me for capturing the red former plumber twice either, even though she likes me for who I am regardless of my wrong doings.” King Boo patted Bowser’s shell rim knowingly. “Now, let’s get her back, shall we? How much do you want to bet that she actually managed to use her magic to get away from you, hm?”
“I wouldn’t gamble with the likes of you in case you win anyway, but she most likely used her weird wishing magic to get away from me and tripped on that tree that happened to be magical enough to grant that wish.” Bowser groaned at first, slapping his palm to his face and dragged it down his face as he continued.
“Please tell me you’re joking…wishing magic?” The ghostly king couldn’t believe it honestly, it sounded extremely asinine.
“Nope, I’m dead serious. She definitely accidentally used it here since she tripped and fell into that tree, but otherwise she’s stronger with it so long as she has a Star Sprite like Chippy…I mean Starlow or something or other, right by her side! I think she even tossed me out the window and into the forest with it during the Blorbs epidemic Fawful caused, but I could’ve dreamed that…Felt real to me anyway.” Bowser explained and shrugged by the end of his explanation.
“Fascinating! And here I thought her magic had something to do with her pure heart alone.” King Boo couldn’t help but mention, as he had replaced Mario in that Shadow Queen nightmare of hers and witnessed her magic first hand then.
Getting back to the task at hand, King Boo neared the tree and started to feel around it with his magic.
“C’mon, where is she?” He asked desperately under his breath in an almost hiss. And miraculously enough, a separate portal opened right next to the tree. “Well… that was lucky.”
“Lucky, or preordained because of some random prophesy we don’t know about from Fate and Destiny?” Bowser asked suspiciously, as even he knew King Boo didn’t use that much magic.
“How about we cross that bridge when we get there and worry about it later? Now let’s go get our beloved princess, shall we?” King Boo countered and floated about an equivalent to a single footstep before Bowser interrupted him with another question.
“You’re letting me come with you?”
“Of course, especially if you really want to apologize, I’m the only one she’ll listen to in order for her to even let you get a word in.” The ghost king replied automatically. Then he sighed as he decided to be real with his old friend, floating back over to Bowser to even touch the side of his snout for emphasis on the things he had to say. “Look, I know how you are, and as of late I’ve come to know how she is. If you truly want her to love you in any way, shape, or form, then you’re going to have to work at it and be patient about it. There are no shortcuts to winning her heart, and especially from where you stand with her right now, thus, you have to work from the ground up. If she can stand the likes of me, she can certainly tolerate the likes of you so long as you work for the sake of her happiness, as you must put that above all else at times.” ‘At times’, because Bowser did have Junior to tend to and worry about.
“Thanks, I needed that.” Bowser said gratefully. “Now, I’m ready to go get Peachy back.”
“That’s the spirit!” King Boo crowed, then realized something that he had to slightly correct. “Pun not intended.”
“Didn’t even notice. You coming with, or what?” Bowser retorted lightly and asked as he got up and headed for the portal.
“Naturally.” King Boo quipped, and followed Bowser through the portal.
The portal itself had felt stranger than a warp pipe’s shift in gravity under certain circumstances. Not to mention they both felt physical changes, as if a power up had become active on them or something, and in fact they both felt like they were spit out of the other end of the portal as they were flung forward and landed on their stomachs…which was immensely surprising for King Boo.
When he opened his eyes again, he saw the changes immediately. He had actual hands, like Peach’s, and when he looked down he first realized he actually had a neck and he had more body to him than before! And he was somehow dressed! Like a human noble, well, more like a duke than a king as it wasn’t often that kings wore cravats. He was wearing white otherwise as that was his best color, and he had purple outlines throughout his suit, interestingly enough.
Out of curiosity, he turned to look at how Bowser had fared, and wasn’t surprised that he had turned human-like too but he wasn’t wearing much of anything other than what King Boo could only assume was his undergarments from what was under his shell. Human-like specifically because unlike Peach, Bowser had pointed ears, like how elves from fairy tales were supposed to have. Curious about himself again King Boo felt his new face and the side of his head, feeling that he had hair, and pointed ears as well. He wanted to see a mirror to see what he looked like but he already knew that would have to wait, as they were in a forest.
“WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO ME?!” Bowser shrilled as he finally came to, looking wildly at all his extremities. Yes, even there, and he calmed down at the sight of it, as its size boosted his ego. He felt lighter otherwise and realized he could twist his torso quite a bit as he checked to see if his shell was still there, which it wasn’t…not entirely anyway.
“Your shell seems to have turned into a very realistic looking tattoo on your back.” King Boo offered for him. At his words, Bowser finally got a good look at the ghost king.
“What the hell happened to you?” The Koopa King asked in a much calmer tone but was still obviously bewildered.
“Same thing that happened to you of course. Could you tell me what color my hair is? Yours is still a red head by the way.” King Boo replied.
“Well, your hair is white like you always were, and your eyes are still yellow with that darkness around them because of that topaz in your crown.” Bowser told him honestly.
“And your hair is unruly enough that we might have to braid it so you don’t look like a barbarian, even though you already do since you have no clothes besides those…undergarments.” King Boo felt the need to mention, as it was going to be cumbersome traveling and running into people in the way they were now.
“Braids aren’t manly! And there’s no way I’m letting you touch my hair, I don’t care how unruly it is!” Bowser exclaimed in defiance, instantly putting his hands on his head to shield his hair from any of King Boo’s tricks, as he was the master of illusions after all. Though already Bowser was having second thoughts as he felt the length of his hair was longer, and if it was as unruly as King Boo had said, then he was going to need to do something with it.
“Fine, I’ll leave your hair alone. But you still need clothes so I’m going to think of some and hope it works.” King Boo already had something in mind, and snapped his new fingers full of magic and aimed it at Bowser, leaving the humanized Koopa King in rather average looking clothes. A beige shirt and a dark green vest with some brown pants that were neither formal nor too baggy, and some average brown boots that Bowser tried not to think too hard about in them looking like they belong on some plumber feet that he knew all too well.
“Really? You’re dressed all regal and stuff and you have the gall to stick me in peasant clothes?” Bowser asked ungratefully as he looked down at himself, but upon not getting a response he looked up and saw that King Boo’s attention was towards something behind them but above where they came from. “Hey! Are you even listening to-! Me?” Bowser yelled but decided to look at whatever got his fellow monarch’s attention and strangely recognized it.
Though they were clearly in a forest judging by the trees and greenery ahead and around them respectively, and by how fresh the air smelled here, around them in this little area was a stone wall, and behind them directly was a structure of some sort of an ancient looking entryway to what was possibly a temple judging by the strange symbol above the archway, and there was a broken stair case that didn’t go down very far so if anyone wanted to go up there, they needed to find some other way.
Bowser, noting how familiar all this was starting to look, and that bothered him greatly, he finally looked around to soak in his surroundings. There was a… well it was way too big to be a pedestal, a pad maybe, it had that same symbol as the archway on it…as well as three golden triangles over that symbol. In the corner on Bowser’s right there was even a stone with what looked like an obscure crying eye, and behind King Boo was a stump and their portal home was right above it.
“This is starting to look a lot like a video game Junior has, and because of all the coincidences I’m seeing, I think I know where we are.” Bowser decided to mention, and as he remembered even more details about the game in Junior’s possession, he remembered that he probably looked a bit like the main villain since his hair was red. Bowser then looked at the color of his skin…and at least that’s where the similarities stopped. He was tan, about the same color as his own scales were, and there was no way he would look like he was from the desert. Just a farmer maybe, but no more than that.
“I babysat Junior a few times when he was just past his hatchling stage, remember? I believe I know exactly what videogame you’re talking about. We’re in Hyrule, aren’t we?” King Boo quipped as he came out of his stupor took in their surroundings as well.
“Yeah, and though I hate to admit it, I’m gonna take you up on your offer of braiding my hair. Just don’t put any stupid flowers in it, alright?” Bowser relented and requested harshly for the sake of manly emphasis.
“Are you sure? Yellow flowers are her favorite, and they will make you more approachable, and I do make a mean flower crown.” King Boo teased.
“Not until we find her.” Bowser huffed in impatience. King Boo nodded, floated over to him and got right to work in making what was formerly Bowser’s mane into one big braid, and he tied it up with another bit of magic and illusion.
Now that they were as settled as they could get with their appearances they set out in search of their beloved princess. They mostly had a hope and a prayer to go on that Peach was lucky enough to have gotten hospitality at Hyrule Castle, and from where they were they could only hope the short cuts in the forest actually worked.
Bowser was remarkably lucky to have remembered that the short cut through Zora River was their best bet of getting to Castle town in good time. After a bit of wandering and trial and error they managed to find it, the pool of water with its own little archway to indicate that it went somewhere far outside the forest.
King Boo merely drifted in and through, but Bowser had to get used to swimming in his new body but thankfully it didn’t take him long as he realized his new limbs made it much easier than he was used to. After popping up and out on the other side, they followed the river down and away from the waterfall. Bowser swam the rest of the way as soon as it was deep enough, while King Boo kept floating as he followed along the river and Bowser’s position, and rolling his eyes at the childish antics of his fellow monarch. Though he did entertain himself with being able to see his reflection a little in the water’s surface, and he had to admit, he was quite handsome, but he could only hope that Princess Peach thought so too, even if it was temporary.
Eventually after getting past what was really a narrow canyon with a river in it, the land opened up greatly as they could see Lon Lon Ranch in the distance, and they passed by the steps to Kakariko Village. As soon as they got to the castle walls, Bowser climbed out of the river, and started booking it as he vaguely remembered that they closed the castle town gates at night to keep the Stalchildren at bay. King Boo followed closely behind remembering the same because Junior took a very long time to figure out that it was safer to stay in the river at night when one is locked out of the town.
They managed to make it just at sunset relieved to be in the safety of the town but aggravated that they’d still have to wait because there was no way they would be able to reach her at this hour, even if they snuck in…well there was an idea.
“I can still get in because they can’t touch me, unless the princess of this kingdom uses her magic I assume.” King Boo mentioned excitedly, happy that he actually thought of it.
“Sounds like a good plan to me, but what do I do?” Bowser asked, equally excited that Peach was practically in their reach, but worried for a moment that he wouldn’t be able to see her until the next day already.
“You probably can’t breathe fire now, and you’ve definitely lost some of your strength with your missing bulk. So I suggest you wait here and find a place to sleep for the night. Even when I find her, she’s not going to just leave her place of hospitality unannounced at this hour.” King Boo explained.
“Right. That makes sense. Just let me know that she’s doing ok when you get back, alright?” Bowser requested slightly gruffly, but only because he really was worried about Peach.
“Of course.” King Boo replied and flew off towards Hyrule Castle. He flew high enough that he wouldn’t be too suspicious looking, hoping that he looked enough like a bird to fool anyone in these truly medieval times.
As soon as he was above the courtyard, he flew down towards it and decided to rest himself on the branch of a tree. He wasn’t about to phase into any rooms in case he accidentally walked in on her, and seeing little choice in the matter he decided to lure her out. He summoned his trusty violin and began to play Clair de Lune hoping with all his undead heart that she’d hear it from wherever she was.
Peach was lying on her stomach on her bed going over her hand made translation dictionary from Hylian to her language, and since she was doing some night studying, she wasn’t dressed for bed yet, when she heard a familiar song that she wasn’t sure was possibly also in this world. Out of curiosity she got up and went to her window to find the source, not expecting to find it right away on a tree across the way. For there playing the violin, was a man with white hair that looked silver in the moonlight, and was dressed in a white suit and purple accents, his shoes were black however, with a very polished shine. It was his crown that gave him away though, as she knew it anywhere, still flattered to this day that he had stuck with the first jewel that she had suggested to him.
“It’s still a lovely rendition, you silly balloon. Though I suppose I can’t call you that now, can I?” She managed to say just over his music, but quiet enough that anyone who had noticed his presence wouldn’t know she was somewhat in cahoots with him. When he looked up finally, his eyes, though still yellow, looked extremely gentle even with the usual darkness around them, not to mention he looked so relieved to see her.
“I’m so glad you’re alright, my dear. We’ve been worried sick about you, even if it has only been a few hours.” King Boo replied to her, having stopped playing as soon as he heard her voice, and floating over to her, taking one of her hands in his and linking their fingers together (because he finally could) and cupping her cheek affectionately with his other hand.
“We? Hours? But I’ve been here for months!” Peach exclaimed in confusion, but in a whisper exclamation so she wouldn’t disturb anyone.
“Huh, must be a time difference between dimensions.” King Boo concluded in thought aloud. Then he pulled away from her a little as he knew her initial reaction to his traveling companion thus far wouldn’t be agreeable with her. “As for the ‘we’, I traveled with someone I know you won’t like, even if he has come all this way to desperately apologize to you, and has promised to behave better for the sake of your happiness.” He told her bashfully, poking his index fingers together.
Peach sucked in a breath, knowing exactly who he was referring to. But before she could say anything on the matter, she noticed someone else she had come to care for in her time here in Hyrule, and she could tell even from this distance that he was readying a small weapon.
“Look out!” She cried as she grabbed King Boo by his suit’s lapels and dragged him in and just away from the window, just as a kunai pierced the air past them and lodged itself into the bedroom door.
King Boo glared daggers at the weapon and thanked the stars of their home world as well as the goddesses of this one that Peach just happened to forget that he was a ghost, as that implicated that she could have been hurt by the weapon because it would have gone right through him.
“Please, don’t. That was just a friend of mine who had promised to keep me safe during my time here, he didn’t know.” Peach pleaded as she saw the death glare in his eyes even as he kept his gaze away from her and at the kunai behind him. And as if to prove her point further from the way it looks, she tactfully shifted them so that she had pinned him against the wall, knowing that the owner of the kunai would come to check to see if she was alright.
Distracted from her movement and how she positioned them, King Boo decided to do everything she asked of him as he already wanted to see how this would play out. Especially since grabbing him she had moved her arms around his neck and one of her hands was along the back of his head, and most likely subconsciously stroking his hair. It felt nice, despite that she wasn’t saying anything and kept her gaze on the window, waiting for something…or someone since it was a friend of hers that was only trying to protect her, though he also couldn’t help but idly note that she was still human herself, coming into this world didn’t give her Hylian ears like he and Bowser had gotten, so that was a bit strange.
Finally, that friend of hers made for her open window since it was faster and more efficient and for the sake of whether or not she needed his assistance.
“Peach! Are you alrigh-!” The youth crouching on the edge of her window called in worry but instantly took in the positioning and stopped himself. Trying not to narrow his eyes at the extremely suspicious looking yellowed eyed man in Peach’s arms.
“I’m fine Sheik, but I’d greatly appreciate it if you didn’t try stabbing my friends in the back like that.” She told him gratefully but sternly. “This is-!”
“Beauregard, King Beauregard, but otherwise she may have referred to me as King Boo in any stories she told of our homeland.” King Boo held out his hand in a friendly gesture in an attempt for a handshake but Peach still hadn’t let up on him, which made the positioning extremely awkward.
Realizing it was probably best to look more appropriate and to subtly let Sheik down easy, she finally let go of the ghost king and patted out invisible dust for the sake of regaining her composure.
“Since he’s here,” Peach began, but Sheik finished her thought for her since it was already obvious.
“That means you’ll be able to go home…assuming he still knows where the portal is.” Sheik mentioned suspiciously, still narrowing his eyes at King Boo.
“Sacred Forest right above the lone stump in front of the Forest Temple. And even if it’s closed, I can still reopen it with my magic.” King Boo replied confidently, and decided to finally voice his irritation to the boy who unknowingly almost did something…extremely regrettable. “Just so you know, I really am a ghost. And you should consider yourself extremely lucky that our dear Princess Peach forgot that fact and inevitably saved herself rather than me.” To further emphasize the truth in his ghostliness, he made himself more transparent and half traversed through the wall, pleased to see the Sheikah flinch for a number of reasons, then he left Peach with one last thing to mention. “Might as well pack your things, dearest, and say your goodbye’s in the morning, my cohort that I mentioned to you earlier, and I will be waiting for you around the Temple of Time.” He backed up a bit to kiss the back of her hand as he always did when leaving her side, and then fully went on his way through the wall.
Which left the princess and the Sheikah youth alone, and Peach couldn’t quite look at him directly.
“So, I guess this is it then.” Sheik clicked his tongue not knowing what else to say, as it would be a bit ungentlemanly to say ‘at least you won’t be married off and kicked out of the castle by spring.’ But then he had a wonderful idea even it might be a bit late in the evening for it. “Any last requests on places to see before you go?”
“Are you sure? I wouldn’t want to be a burden on such short notice.” Peach asked worriedly.
“Nonsense, your time here should go out with a bang. I could take you to Kakariko Village, my home town, if you so wished.” He offered nonchalantly.
“Really? I’d love to.” Her eyes lit up immediately, and she ran into his open arms knowing he’d either carry her there or teleport her there.
Meanwhile, King Boo had stayed hidden in the shadows for the rest of that conversation, out of curiosity rather than jealousy. His theory about Sheik being his own person seemed to be correct as far as he could tell. But he was still obviously trapped in a girl’s body and since Peach had been in his life for months…what better opportunity for King boo to strike a deal and make a wish come true, after all, he was already used to the idea of having to share her, what’s one more to add to her harem of men who adore her for who she is? For now, he’d leave them alone as he had to track down Bowser to make him wait at the Temple of Time.
Long after Peach said her goodbyes the next morning, Sheik finally appeared and insisted on escorting her to her escorts from home. They found them near the Temple of Time with no problem, but of course King Boo wanted to have a word with Sheik in private before they left, plus it would give Peach and Bowser time to talk.
“So what is this about exactly?” Sheik asked as soon as they were out of earshot of the others, though Zelda ‘sat upright’ in attention at the back of his mind since collectively they both did not trust this ghostly king for the life of either of them.
“It’s about you actually, how would you like to be free of that body that really isn’t yours and continue being with our dear Princess Peach?” King Boo asked out right, not shocked by the Sheikah’s gasp and instinctual jump back.
“How do you-?”
“In all honesty of getting to the point, it absolutely does not matter how I know besides the fact that I’m a ghost and even I can tell that you’re supposed to be dead, boy. Now make your choice. By leaving with us now, you’ll have to travel with your soul in a bottle until we get back home where our dimension’s natural magic will allow you to be yourself… a ghostly version of yourself, but you’ll still have control of what you can touch at least. And you will have to share her, as she does have a few admirers, myself and her champion included. So what say you?” King Boo interrupted, and explained, tactfully leaving out Bowser since he still had a lot to redeem for, and finishing off with the ultimate question that was all too easy to answer for Sheik.
Zelda needed to get married soon anyway, and he didn’t want to be around in the back of her mind for what came after the wedding, and he already knew he couldn’t live without Peach either, so of course his answer was yes.
Because the extraction process of Sheik’s soul was magically quick, and the cat was officially out of the bag, Zelda briefly explained herself and Sheik’s situation to the confused Mushroom princess, and also ended up teleporting them to the sacred meadow, but she didn’t stick around for any final goodbyes as she was still quite humiliated by even having to reveal one of her deepest secrets even if she was now forever free from it… or rather, him, it would take a while for her to adjust to the quietness of her mind again.
In any case Bowser groaned before they all entered the portal because they forgot to do one specific thing that would have really only been beneficial to him and his ego.
“Argh! We forgot to go to Lon Lon Ranch before we left!”
“Oh, and they didn’t let me sightsee all that much either so I haven’t been either, but what’s so special that you wanted to go to it, Bowser?” Peach admitted bashfully and asked curiously.
“Nothing except the fact the ranchers where his actual mug that we’re used to as their pendants.” King Boo answered for her.
“Please tell me you’re kidding.” Peach said in a flat, disbelieving tone.
“I honestly wish I was.” King Boo quipped while Bowser laughed proudly. Even Sheik rolled his eyes from within the bottle Peach had elected herself to carry.
Upon re-entering the Mushroom Kingdom, Bowser and King Boo instantly reverted to normal, and as Peach let Sheik out of the bottle, the ghost king coached him through it to stay on this plane of existence of not going into the light, and focusing on everything he wanted to do along Peach’s side. It took a number of minutes but eventually Sheik was successful enough that he maintained the shape of the boy he had always been (even when he was inside Zelda’s body).
Though Bowser had to continue making up for all of his wrong doings to her and her kingdom, he eventually won his way into her heart and relented in sharing her with King Boo and Sheik, and they all lived happily ever after.

Purple, a Princess Peach X King Boo fanfic
Pairings: Princess Peach X King Boo, with some side Mario X Bowser and Luigi X Prince Peasley X Princess Daisy.
AUs: Humanized AU and Soulmate AU.
Fanfiction.net, Archive of Our Own
Princess Peach considered herself unlucky.
Well, not really unlucky overall. She was the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, she had so many friends, and she had a pretty good life. There was just one problem:
Everyone in this world was born seeing only one color: the color of their soulmate's eyes. Most people saw in blues, greens, hazels, or browns. When they touch their soulmate for the first time, they would immediate see in full color.
However, Peach saw in purple.
Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, except purple was such a rare eye color, she didn't know anyone with purple eyes.
This caused her to worry that she might not ever find "the one".
But at least she wasn't the only one who was different. Her cousin Daisy, saw two colors: Blue and green.
"I still don't understand how it can be two colors." Daisy told her one day, when they were still teenagers. "I tried reading every book I can, but they don't say anything about what happens when you see more than one!"
Eventually, Daisy did get her answer. Many years later, they met the Mario Bros, two brothers, who, like Peach and Daisy, had "strange" soulmates.
Luigi ended up being one of Daisy's soulmates. When they two shook hands for the first time, they were in for a surprise. The moment they touched, they immediate saw some new colors, but not ALL of them.
It turns out, Luigi had also seen in both blue and green, and when they both touched, they both began to see yellows and oranges.
They both found it very strange that they now both saw four colors, but not all of them.
After a while, they had come to the conclusion that they needed to find a third soulmate.
"Three? That's very strange." Toadsworth replied after hearing the news. "I've heard stories about having more than one soulmate, but it's very rare. Master Luigi and Princess Daisy are very lucky, indeed."
Then there was Mario. He saw in oranges.
Princess Peach wasn't surprised when nothing happened between them. But she was happy that there was someone like her who didn't see in a "normal" color.
It was because of this, that they became really good friends.
A few years later, things began to change.
An evil king named Bowser had kidnapped the princess, believing that she was his soulmate, for he saw in blue. Frustrated when nothing happened, he locked her in a cage.
When Mario came to rescue her and fight Boswer, something unexpected happened.
It turned out, Bowser was looking for the wrong person. It wasn't Peach he was destined to be with, but Mario.
They agreed to stop fighting, and Bowser agreed to let her go, because now he found what he had been looking for. No longer enemies, Peach and Bowser became friends.
The redheaded king became a lot nicer once he and Mario got together, and would often "show off" his boyfriend to his subjects, and Peach thought it was funny when Bowser tried to flirt with Mario, but wasn't really good at it, coming off as a bit aggressive. But despite this, the two boyfriends were quite romantic with each other despite their differences.
As time moved forward, Peach began to worry. She had yet to find her soulmate.
"Don't worry, your Highness." Toadsworth assured her. "You don't need to rush into this, you'll find them eventually."
But that didn't stop her from yearning to find "the one". She really wanted to know what it was like to see in color, that was true. But she also wanted to be in love. To recieve affection that even her friends couldn't give her. She wanted a romantic relationship.
Her desire to find her soulmate only got stronger when she heard news from Luigi and Daisy.
Apparently, the had found their number three: A prince from the Beanbean Kingdom named Peasley. Now the three of them were together at last.
She met up with the trio one day, and they told her how they met. Peach was very happy for them, and they seemed to love each other very much. She also thought how adorable it was when Luigi got all flustered from Peasley and Daisy's flirting.
After a while, the princess wondered if she was ever going to meet her soulmate. But those doubts were usually dismissed. People with purple eyes must exist, right? If she didn't have a soulmate, she would have been born seeing in full color already.
But even though she remained optimistic, she was still unsure. She had met lots of people, and had been to many places, but nothing ever happened.
It didn't help that all her friends were finding theirs, why couldn't she?
No, she definitely had a soulmate. She just had to be patient. She would wait as long as she needed to.
Little did she know, she would get her miracle soon.
One night, the princess was on the balcony somewhere in the castle. She looked up at the starry night sky. When she was little, her mother would tell her stories about wishing on stars. She didn't really believe in that, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to try.
"I wish that I could meet the one I'm destined to be with, that is all I want." she whispered and closed her eyes.
Her thoughts were interrupted by Toadsworth.
"Your Highness, I apologize for bothering you at this time." he told her in an urgent voice. "But there's someone here to see you. He says it's an emergency."
"I'll be there in a minute." she answered. She decided to save the wishing for later, as this seemed important.
She went downstairs and saw a Toad she hadn't seen before. He looked scared out of his mind.
"Your Highness!" he yelled. "It's terrible!" Judging by the Toad's accent, she could tell that he was from Evershade Valley.
"What is it?" Peach asked.
"Mario's been captured by King Boo, he trapped him in a painting!"
Peach gasped. Her close friend was trapped? By none other than King Boo? They had never met, but heard terrifying stories about him. He was the most feared being in all the world, so she knew that she didn't want to mess with him.
"Then, th-the professor sent Luigi to stop him.... but... but... then he was captured too!" the Toad continued, looking like he was about to cry. "And he also got the professor, Daisy, Peasley, Bowser, and all my fellow Toad co-workers!"
"How are we going to get them back?!" Toadsworth exclaimed.
"I don’t know." the Toad sniffled. "But I was able to escape. The reason I came here was to warn you! As I was escaping, I overheard them saying they were going to the Mushroom Kingdom castle next!"
"Oh dear!" Peach exclaimed. "What are we going to do?"
"We must lock the doors, shut all the windows, this entire castle is going on lockdown! No one is to enter or exit!" Toadsworth announced frantically.
"But what about Mario and the others?" Peach exclaimed. "They're my friends, I have to do something!"
"We can't right now, Your Highness, it's too dangerous. We don't want to risk you getting captured too." Toadsworth told her. "Now, we need to keep you safe, come with me, we're going to hide upstairs."
"But-"
"No buts, Missy! Let's head to the attic, tootsweet!"
Peach relucantly agreed for now, and went with Toadsworth to the highest floor in the castle.
Pretty soon they reached the attic of the castle, because Toadsworth believed "no one would think of looking in the attic".
"How long will we be on lockdown?" she asked. "And are you sure this is necessary?"
"It is absolutely necessary. We will wait until tomorrow morning." the old Toad explained.
Peach sighed. She knew she couldn't argue with Toadsworth. But she was still worried about her friends, and about herself as well.
She felt horrible for not doing anything, but she knew it would be too dangerous. Who knew what King Boo was capable of.
Suddenly, the power went out.
"Blast this newfangled electricity!" Toadsworth complained. "Always going out when you need it!" he huffed. "I better check it out myself."
"But Toadsworth-"
"I'll only be gone of a few minutes, Your Highness. There's nothing to worry about." he walked out the door. "You'd best stay here."
"Wait-"
He left the room, closing the door behind him, leaving Peach alone.
The princess sighed. She decided to just wait it out, he said he would only take a few minutes. But she had a feeling that they were here, so she had to stay calm.
She waited for ten minutes when she started to get worried. Toadsworth was still not back yet. And for some reason, she was very nervous.
A few more minutes went by. It was still dark, and she was still alone.
"I know Toadsworth told me to stay put, but I want to make sure he's okay." she thought to herself.
She went to the door and tried to open it, but much to her dismay, it was locked.
"And where, exactly, do you think you're going?"
She froze. He was here. She turned around and saw King Boo.
"What are you doing here?" she asked, trying not to sound scared.
"Why do you think I'm here?" he replied.
"I know you have my friends." Peach told him. "Let them go."
"Sorry, princess, but I'm afraid I can't do that. You see, the Mario Brothers have caused me a lot of trouble. I'm simply giving them the karma they deserve by taking them and their friends for my collection, and that includes you." he said, grinning, revealing sharp teeth.
"Haven't you already gotten what you wanted?" Peach asked. "Besides, I haven't done anything to you."
He floated towards her. "I don’t think you understand. You're Mario's friend, aren't you? Besides, the Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom would be a great addition."
"No!" Peach exclaimed. "I won't let you do this!"
"And how do you plan on stopping me?"
"I'll bust the door down!"
"That door's too strong for you to break down."
"I'll... I'll jump out the window!" she bluffed.
"Please, a fall from that height would kill you." he replied. "Come on, I'll put you right next to your friends..." he told her as he took her arm.
The moment he did, however, something shocking happened.
Peach felt a quick flash and suddenly....
She saw color.
She looked around in shock. The princess was no longer only seeing in shades of purple. She looked at her dress and saw that it was pink. She saw her light, peach colored skin, the blue jewel on her dress, and noticed her golden blonde hair from the corners of her eyes.
She looked up at King Boo and noticed he looked as shocked as she was. Finally seeing him in full color, she noticed his white outfit and hair. But the one thing she noticed the most was his eyes: they were purple.
"Well, this definitely changes things, doesn't it?" he mused, smirking. "Who would have thought?"
"It... it was you... all along..." Peach stammered. She wasn't so sure what to make of this. King Boo, the most terrifying being in the world, was her soulmate?
"I knew I had a soulmate somewhere." he told her, putting his hand on her cheek. "But to think it would be you.... it's quite interesting, really. You are pretty cute, to be honest."
"What now?"
"I think I have an idea." he responded. "How about we have a little deal. Instead of putting you in a painting, we spend some time together, and get to know each other. I'll let everyone else go, too."
"That sounds fine. I'll accept. But, I.... don't know what to say..."
"You don't have to say anything if you can't find the words for it." he said, putting his arm around her waist. Peach's heart was beating fast, but began to slow down.
"Wait, what are we going to do about all this?" she asked. "Won't people be a bit... surprised?"
"Didn’t something similar happen to King Bowser and Mario? I've heard that they found each other while fighting, too."
"I guess you're right."
"Besides, I can be quite romantic if I wanted to." he told her. "I think we'll be great together..."

I Know Places, a Super Mario fanfic
Summary: When Bowser somehow manages to defeat the Mario Brothers, Peach is heartbroken. Rather than face an unhappy marriage with Bowser, she runs away from the Castle. Lost and alone, she receives help from an unlikely source.
Pairing: Peach X King Boo(yes, you read that correctly)
Warnings: Humanized AU, Crack Ship, Mentioned Character Death, Very Long One Shot
Peach ran as fast as she could. She couldn't take it anymore, she had enough.
It had happened just six months ago, the event that changed her life forever. She had seen the whole tragedy occur before her very eyes. She still couldn't believe that Bowser would ever defeat them. But he did, and they were gone.
She also remembered the night after it happened. She cried for hours until she ran out of tears. The Kingdom declared a day of mourning for their fallen heroes. The once cheerful princess was no longer the same.
Now that the Mario Brothers had perished, Bowser was easily able to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Every day, for the past few months, Bowser would ask the princess to marry him. And every day, she gave him the same answer: no.
Peach didn't want to live like this. She didn't want anything to do with the person who killed the man she loved and her closest friend. So one day, she decided she was going to do it. She was going to escape. She brought a few things with her: some clothes, food, some money(but not too much), and water.
She had to save herself now. If she didn't, she would be forced to marry Bowser. And in Peach's mind, a life married to that awful man would be a fate worse than death. He was rude, uncouth, and didn't really care about how she felt.
The princess was already pretty far from the castle. She had been running for at least an hour, and now she found herself in some sort of forest, with a small lake and many trees. She wasn't stupid, she knew that sooner or later, Bowser would send his soldiers to go looking for her. But surely no one would find her here, in this forest.
"I can't run anymore..." she thought, panting from exhaustion. "I need to take a break..." she slowly walked towards the lake. Looking down, she saw her reflection. Her hair was a mess, her dress was ripped, and one of her gloves was gone, but her crown was still on her head. She took the crown and looked at it for a moment, then threw it in the lake. It landed with a splash and she watched it sink to the bottom, which was satisfying to watch.
She realized if she was to escape from Bowser, she needed to make sure he didn't find her. She didn't know how long, but for now, she had to pretend she wasn't a princess. Maybe if she found a town, she could try to blend in with the townsfolk. She wasn't sure how well that would work out, though.
After a while, it began to get dark, and the former princess was beginning to get a bit cold. The night would be harsh, especially in this time of the year. Peach decided that her ideas had to wait, now her priority was to make sure she stayed warm.
She created a small, makeshift fire pit and surrounded it with small rocks to make sure the fire wouldn't spread. Then, she gathered a pile of sticks and placed it in the middle. Taking two sticks, she tried to ignite a fire but rubbing them together quickly.
It was without success, as she could barely make more than a spark. After several minutes, she got frustrated and gave up. By then, she was starting to grow tired, and she was still freezing. The former princess started wondering if this was a bad idea after all.
"I can't believe I did this. This was a stupid idea..." she thought to herself. "I should have just stayed." She closed her eyes and shook her head. "No. If I stayed, it would have felt like torture. I'd have to marry Bowser, it'd be unbearable."
She felt tears going down her face. She thought about what could have been. She and Mario had been in love with each other for quite some time. He had been her knight in shining armor, or in this case, overalls and a cap.
The worst thing was, is that Peach was planning on proposing to him. She was going to pop the question that fateful day when... the incident happened. It had been the absolute worst day of her life.
She knew that she would never see Mario again. She knew she would have to move on eventually. But it was so hard to do.
While she was crying, she felt a hand on her shoulder, which startled her. But when she looked up, no one was there. She got up and looked around. Strange, maybe her imagination was playing a trick on her. But then she felt someone tap her shoulder. She quickly turned around and-
"BOO!" someone shouted. Peach was so surprised by the sudden jumpscare that she fell back. She looked up and saw an unnaturally pale man floating above her. He wore a white outfit and a purple cape. His hair was white, he had purple eyes, and a crown on his head. He was laughing like crazy. "You should have seen your face! How priceless! It never ceases to amaze me how easily scared you mortals can be."
"That wasn't funny at all!" Peach yelled. She knew who this was. Mario and Luigi told her about him. Floating before her was none other than King Boo.
"You're right. It wasn't funny." he replied, still laughing. "It was hilarious! It always is!"
"That's not the point!" Peach exclaimed. "What are you doing here? What do you want from me?!"
King Boo stopped laughing. "Don't worry, I'm not going to cause you any harm. I saw you running from something... or someone. My, you look like you've seen better days." he told her. "Were you crying?"
"What? No I wasn't!" she defended, slightly scared.
"I saw your tears." he replied. "I'm guessing you haven't been doing well since the Marios'... departure."
"It's been awful..." Peach sighed. "I fled the castle."
"But why would you do that?" he asked. "Tired of life as a princess?" he laughed.
"No..." she mumbled. "I just couldn't stand the idea of having to marry Bowser." Peach told him.  "So I... ran away. But maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all..."
"Maybe so. Do you have any idea what you're going to do or where you will go?"
"N-no..." Peach admitted weakly.
"I thought so. But I understand why you would want to run away. That high amount of arrogance can cause one to become unlikable." the king stated. "I wouldn't want to marry him, either. But you realize he's going to go looking for you, right?"
"You're not going to tell him I'm here, are you?" Peach asked, trying to hide her fear.
"Don't worry, your secret is safe with me." he assured her. But Peach was still skeptical. She knew about what he had done before. The Mario Bros told her about the mansion and the Dark Moon incident. She wasn't sure if she could trust someone like him at all, let alone to keep a secret. She did feel a bit thankful that it was just King Boo and not one of Bowser's minions. "But it's getting late." he told her. "You should probably get some rest." He pulled out a blanket and put it over her.
"Thank you..." She reluctantly accepted. She wasn't sure why he was being nice to her, but she chose not to question it. She needed all the help she could get. But this was quite strange for an evil king like him.
"I would leave as soon as you wake up if I were you." he advised. "If you stay here, they might find you. I also know of a town near the forest. You might be able to stay there if you blend in."
"Okay." She replied. She was still unsure. "I don't understand though, why are you being so nice to me?"
"That, princess, is a question for another day. I'm afraid I must go, but I wish you good luck... farewell." he told her as he disappeared with a "poof!"
Peach sat there for a second and thought about what just happened. Why would a scary and powerful villain be helping her anyway? Pity? She wasn't sure. He and Bowser didn't get along that well, so maybe he was helping her to spite him? Well, the important thing was that she wasn't going to freeze anymore, so she was just happy about that.
She slowly began to close her eyes, and very soon, she was fast asleep.
------------------
Morning came, and Peach left her spot as soon as she could. She destroyed the makeshift fire pit to cover her tracks, and she also decided to keep the blanket with her just in case she needed it for something.
After two hours of walking through the forest, Peach eventually found a town. She had already changed into some raggedy dress so that she wouldn't stand out.
"Okay, what am I going to do now?" the former princess thought. "I won't last long on what I've got. I need a place to stay..." she continued. "I'll figure something out."
The streets weren't as kind as Peach expected. Throughout the day, she got pushed, shoved, and even kicked at one point. She blended in alright, nobody seemed to even acknowledge her presence. She started to feel terribly guilty. While she was living a lap of luxury, there were people living in horrid conditions like this? This opened her eyes, as the princess was so used to everyone having her attention. Being ignored was... a strange feeling.
She continued walking through the village. While doing so, she bumped into someone.
"Oh! I'm very sorry!" she quickly apologized and looked at who she collided with. It was an old woman, with a very stern and condescending look on her face.
"You're not from here, are you?" the woman asked.
"How did you know?"
"You apologized. The people here don't do that when they bump into someone." she replied.
"They don't?" Peach gasped. "That's rude!"
"That's just how it is here." the elderly woman told her. "Where are you from?"
"Oh, me?" she responded. "A few towns over."
"Oh, well in that case, welcome to Attleford. Where are you staying?"
"Oh, well... I'm still working on that." Peach replied.
"You mean you're homeless?"
"Well, I guess?"
"Do you have a job, at least?" the woman asked.
"Uh... no." she admitted.
"Do you want one?"
"A job?" Peach asked.
"Of course. I run a motel. You can work there, and in return, I offer you a place to stay." the woman explained.
Peach thought about it. A motel? That didn't sound too bad. She had never been in a motel, but knew it was like a less expensive version of a hotel.
"I guess. I don't really have many options." Peach accepted her offer.
------------------
The old woman brought her to the motel and gave her a quick tour. The motel wasn't really five star material, but it was alright. The old woman showed her to her room.
"So this is where you will be staying." the woman explained.
Peach walked into the room. It was shabby, and the wallpaper was brown and peeling off. There was a single bed, and a bureau with a mirror, which had a crack in it. There was also a faded window that couldn't be opened, and a there was a nightstand near the bed, with an old lamp.
Peach walked around, her footsteps made the wooden floorboards creak. "Hmm... I guess it's alright." she told the old woman. <i>"Oh my goodness, this is awful! How am I going to live like this?"</i> she thought.
"I expect you to be in the lobby no later than seven o'clock tomorrow." the woman told her. "From then you will be given your duties for the day. You will have three meals a day."
"I understand."
"I also have a set of rules that I expect all of my employees to follow at all times." the woman explained. "No complaining, so stealing, no lights on after ten o'clock, no goofing off, and no being rude to guests. If you break any rules, you will be thrown out. Do I make myself clear?"
"Crystal." Peach responded.
"Good." the woman said. "It's getting late. You have a long day ahead of you, so get some sleep." The woman said as she was about to leave.
"Wait!"
"What is it?" the old woman asked, slightly annoyed.
"I never got your name." she told her.
"Tell me your name first."
"It's uh..." Peach quickly thought of names. "Angela."
The woman sighed. "It's Norma. Norma Mills. You are to call me Ms. Mills."
"Yes, Ms. Mills."
"Good night." Ms. Mills said as she left, closing the door behind her. Peach sat on the bed and thought about her new job.
She hoped it wouldn't be so bad. She wasn't used to this at all, she had never had a job before, all her servants did mostly everything for her. But she had to stay strong. It was either this, or marrying Bowser, and she would do anything to avoid the latter.
It took her a while to fall asleep, but eventually, she found herself comfortable enough to dose off.
--------------------
The next day was brutal. She arrived in the lobby a few minutes early to make a good impression. It was alright so far, but then she received her chores for the day.
She spent the whole day scrubbing the floors, cleaning windows, changing bedsheets, and sweeping. She did get her three meals, but the food was subpar.
Peach was so relieved when it was time to go to sleep, she was more tired than she had ever been in her life. She fell onto her bed and fell asleep.
------------------
As she slept, she started to dream. She wasn't sure where she was, everything was so dark. She wandered around for a bit.
"It's nice to see you again." a familiar voice said, which surprised her, which caused the voice to chuckle a bit. Peach turned around and saw King Boo. "Once again, you're scared so easily."
"Please don't do that again!" Peach criticized.
"Fine, I won't scare you again." he apologized. "I can't help the fact that it's quite comedic, though."
"It's okay." she responded. "I really appreciate what you did the other night."
"It was no problem. I just felt the need to help you." the king replied.
"Well, I still appreciate it." Peach said.
"Did you make it out of that forest?" he asked.
"I did." she told him. "I managed to get a job and a place to stay. It's a motel. But I've only been there one day, and it's already hard."
"Of course. You were a pampered little princess for most of your life. This is a dramatic transition for you."
"You do have a point." she agreed. "I'll try to do my best."
------------------
The days went by as the former princess started getting used to the daily grind. Those days turned into weeks as she spent her time sweeping, dusting, and mopping. It was exhausting, for she would wake up at half past six in the morning, and not be finished until nine o'clock at night. Not to mention it seemed as though Ms. Mills didn't like her. She would make comments like "scrub harder!" and "you're not folding them right!". The other workers weren't that nice either. One employee, Laurel, decided it would be funny to trip her while she was walking down the hallway.
However, she did look forward to the day's end. King Boo had made a habit of visiting her dreams quite often. Why, she wasn't sure. They would have conversations about the day before. Despite the fact that he was the King of Boos, he would treat her kindly, as though she was an old friend.
She was still confused why he suddenly cared so much, was he concerned about her? They had barely ever interacted before. And a rather terrifying realization came to her: she didn't mind his presence at all, in fact, she even liked his company. She looked forward to seeing him, and she couldn't explain why. He was a villain! He was an evil and powerful king who was feared by many. She should be afraid of him. But he was so nice to her, a side of him she had never heard of. What reason did he have to be kind to her? And if Mario was alive, what would he think of this? He might be horrified at the thought of her befriending someone like him. She felt quite guilty about this.
One night, she got her answer when she was visited again by King Boo.
"Peach Toadstool, there is just something about you." he told her.
"What do you mean?" she responded.
He looked at her. "I was only going to visit you once, and then leave you alone, but for some reason, I found myself wanting to return to you, to see you again. I have spent my time thinking about you." he explained. He floated in front of her, and held her hands. "There's just something about you, something that I have yet to find in anyone else."
"I don't understand, what have you found in me?"
"I haven't the slightest idea what exactly. I have never felt this way. I am the King of Boos. I have put fear into the hearts of mortals. But I just have this strange need, a strong desire to be with you, to make sure you're okay. I have heard of this feeling, but I had never experienced it until now. I thought I could escape it, but I couldn't handle this emotion any longer. Princess Peach Toadstool, I have fallen in love with you."
"You're in love with me?" the princess gasped. She couldn't believe this, was this the reason he kept visiting her?
He wrapped an arm around her waist. "I am very much in love with you, my dear princess." he murmured as he held her close to him. "I wasn't sure what Mario had seen in you, but now I understand why. You're very kind, and beautiful. And you've been through so much, I just want you to be alright."
"I... I don't know what to say." Peach stammered nervously. She couldn't think, and she should have been scared. But she was no longer afraid of him, in fact, she felt a calm yet satisfying sensation when he brought her closer, as though everything would be alright if he was near.
He began to stroke her hair. "I'm aware of the many horrible things I've done. I am not a good person. But I can make sure you're happy and safe with me."
She thought about his confession. She felt kind of wrong about all this, but at the same time, they had gotten to know each other quite well over the course of a month, and he hadn't harmed her.  Then she thought about Mario, and how he might have reacted if he were still alive. He would probably want her to move on, but with King Boo? Who knows. But being in his arms was a feeling that she couldn't find the right words to describe.
After all, she was trying to leave her old life behind. Maybe he would be able to help her.
"To be completely honest," the princess confessed. "I have really enjoyed your company as well, and you're the one thing I look forward to each day. I think... I think I might have some feelings for you too. But what if people find out about all this?"
"They don't need to know." he assured her. "It'll be our little secret."
They held each other for a while. "It'll be morning soon. But I don't want to leave just yet..."
"I know, but we'll see each other again soon."
"You're right. Besides, I have a job to do."
"Good luck, my dear." he whispered to her.
"Thank you, King Boo." the princess thanked.
"You're welcome."
------------------
When she woke up that morning, she was still blushing. She couldn't stop thinking about the night before, about how the most feared being in the entire Mushroom Kingdom and beyond, told her he loved her. It was all so much to take in. But she had to save those thoughts for another time, because it was time to start working once more.
As she walked into the lobby, she heard the gossip of the other employees.
"Did you hear, they say the Princess has been missing for over a month!"
"Really? No way!"
"I heard that King Bowser is offering a reward for those who bring her back!"
"Corinne told me that some people in Mushroom City tried to turn in a blonde imposter for the reward."
Peach felt her heart drop when she heard that last sentence. Her loyal subjects would easily sell her out like that? She felt quite betrayed. She had to be extra careful now.
She was assigned her tasks, as per usual. However, while she was sweeping the kitchen by herself, Laurel walked into the room.
"I know it's you." she muttered.
"Excuse me?"
"The others here are probably too stupid to notice, but I'm smart enough to tell you're the Princess."
"What makes you think I'm a princess?!" Peach exclaimed.
"I can tell you're inexperienced when it comes to cleaning. Not to mention you have the same blonde hair, blue eyes, and face." Laurel pointed out. "Don't even bother trying to cover it up, Peach!"
She gasped. "Please don't tell anyone!"
"I won't." she assured her. "Under one condition."
"What would that be, exactly?" Peach asked.
"You do my chores for me, along with your own." she demanded.
"That is absurd!"
"It's either more chores, or be ratted out to the cops. Which one will it be, blondie?" Laurel questioned with a smirk on her face.
Peach knew she couldn't go back, she wouldn't lose this battle. "Alright, fine." she sighed. "I will perform your duties."
"Good, I knew I could count on you!" she laughed meanly as she left Peach to continue sweeping.
This would be a long day.
------------------
A long day, it was indeed. Now that her workload had doubled, she had less time to breathe. It was a seemingly never-ending cycle of back and forth. She got less hours of sleep, less time to eat, and it was showing. The stress was starting to get to her. All while Laurel was taking it easy, and slacking off with her friends.
"I'm very concerned about you, dear." King Boo told her one night.
"I'm fine. It's nothing, I can handle this." she defended.
"No, this is troublesome. Look at you, you're not eating enough, you're not getting enough sleep." he reminded her. "Stress kills, believe me, I've seen it happen."
"But what am I supposed to do? Tell her the deal's off and then have her reveal me to the authorities? I can't go back, I just can't!" she exclaimed.
"I understand." he told her as he held her close. "But it hurts to see you suffer like this. How long do you plan on living like this?"
"I don't know..." she responded weakly. "I don't know..."
"Come with me."
"What?"
"You can run away and live with me. You won't have to work the life out of you."
"How? she questioned.
"I can take you there. Please, I don't want to see you slave away like this. You'll be alright, I promise. I just want you happy." he said to her.
"Okay, I'll go with you." she accepted. "But when?"
"We can leave tomorrow."
"Just one more day..." she added. "I think I'll be able to handle one more day."
"Are you sure?"
"I've already handled this much already. A single day shouldn't do much harm." she assured.
"You're a lot more determined than I thought, aren't you?" he complimented.
"I gained it over time, I guess." she shrugged.
"Well, promised me you'll used that determination to get through the day?"
"I promise."
"You're going to be alright. I'll make sure of it."
------------------
Morning arrived faster than Peach had anticipated. Her chores went on like normal, but she noticed Laurel had a smile on her face, as though she was planning something. The former princess tried her best to ignore it.
Later in the afternoon, she was changing the sheets in every bedroom. As she walked out of one of the rooms, she was met with a terrifying sight.
She saw Laurel talking with what appeared to be the police.
"The princess has been here for at least a month. She's working in this hotel, officer." Laurel explained to them.
"Are you positive it's really Her Highness?" the officer asked.
"It's most certainly her." she confirmed. She turned towards Peach and pointed her direction. "In fact, there she is right now."
Peach gasped as the police saw her, and quickly ran down the hallway to her room. She locked the door, and she could hear them running down the hallway. She was in a panic, now. The police were sure to look in every room. What was she to do?
"Peach!" she heard someone call her name. She turned around and saw King Boo in the room with her.
"You came back for me..." she said quietly.
"We don't have much time! Please come with me, you'll be safe." he told her as he held out his hand.
Peach smiled and took his hand, right as they both heard banging on the door. "I will."
------------------
The police officers kicked down the door, but they were surprised to find the room empty.
"That's strange, I couldn't have sworn I heard someone in here..." an officer stated.
"We'll just have to keep on looking." another one added.
"Well hurry up and find her!" Laurel shouted.
"Don't worry ma'am," the first officer told her. "We'll find her."
...
They never did.
