I’ve been thinking about fixed signs and possessiveness and how it’s mostly associated with Taurus and Scorpio. I’ve widely read how Aquarius energy can be annoying because of the way they act superior when it comes to their interests. Like only they can like certain things or they’re the “real” fans of something. Before it was mainstream and popular or just because they bothered to learn everything about said interest. I see it in myself ever since I was little (I have aqua venus). I was always so possessive over my things but also abstract things like topics I liked. I remember loving football and formula 1 and my sisters hated them and would get annoyed because they hated how loud the commentators were. And then my sister got into them and I got annoyed lmao cause I was like you used to make fun of me for this and now you like it??. And my obsession with astrology properly started when I was around 12. And my other sister who’s 10 years older didn’t really care. And now she talks about it a lot and wants to know everyone’s big 3 when she doesn’t even know what signs belong to which element/planet/mode and it really annoys me hahha. Like I recognise how stupid it is but i really feel annoyed deep inside and it’s really weird. I think what annoys me is the change. Like you used to hate it/be indifferent to it and now you like it? But also the lack of commitment. You wanna tell everyone you love astrology? Learn about it and delve deeper. I’m no expert but I can explain my chart and aspects quite well. It’s funny I don’t have this same attachment to humans. But I love how similar signs of the same mode are. Aquarius has this same level of commitment and territorial-ness to things that Taurus and Leo and Scorpio have, it’s just expressed way differently towards different things. I have gotten better with this as I’ve gotten older. And I try to explain things to her and not make it so obvious I’m annoyed lol. I also try to see it from the other side and how intimidating it can be to find a new interest when people aren’t being so welcoming. But at the same time there needs to be an obvious level of interest/dedication to it.

Ok so here’s my list of videogames I’m going through rn:

Half-Life series

Batman Arkham

And now Zelda

All of which I know jack shit about the stories or spoilers. I’ve started Batman Arkham Asylum and I’m in the middle of Half Life 2 Episode 1. So far I’m having a blast

#i tried using a controller for Batman Arkham Asylum but quickly went fuck it and used my keyboard instead #how do y’all do it??? there’s so many fucking button combinations?!!!#i tried to remember the patterns but it was really diffficult and keyboard simplifies a lot so keyboard it is #and WHY IS THERE SO MANY RIDDLER BULLSHITS TO COLLECT??!!#240?!!!! WHY #so far I have little over 25% of them and it’s going to be a pain in the ASS collecting the stuff I need to go back through levels #i will say the facial expressions for Arkham Asylum are super stiff and the dialogue is very very rough #but visual and gameplay wise this shit aged wonderfully for a game made in 2008 #it’s very neat and fun and I’m having a blast but I really don’t feel the motivation story wise to do what I need to do??? like in Half Life #you got backstory and motivation and everything #with Arkham Asylum you’re just in the Asylum and you now have to stop Joker but it’s not as pressing of an issue #I’m also not used to open world games #like sure you can’t go TOO far but you can explore an entire island?!!! how cool is that?!?!!#I’m so used to railroad shooters that this is so neat I’ve never played an open world game #bones speaks

I honestly just don’t get how people default to thinking southern accents are like unserious and unintelligent, I know I live in a bubble and I’ve never been outside of the south so like my world view is skewed but like idk I can’t like conceptualize hearing someone’s accent and going “your accent is too stupid and silly for you to have a brain” like ???

every day when i wake up i say to myself “dykeyuu you are not purchasing any sanrio merchandise today” but then i find the deal of the century……..

#like. i only buy it if i know for sure ill NEVER find it at that price again #2007 corduroy keroppi that literally doesn’t exist on the internet? $16 #i came across it by chance and it took me hours to find evidence that anyone else had ever owned one #found a chococat one too from the same series but it’s pricier…#but it’s the only one listed anywhere that i can find so. perhaps #sike i found one in the philippines there’s TWO corduroy chococats on the internet #i mean there’s literally one reddit thread i could find from years ago confirming that this series existed #and it’s only got like two commenters who only vaguely remembered the series #and a handful of worthpoint entries confirming that a couple of each of them had sold on ebay at some point #all the other sanrio corduroy plushies i could find were from other series #there’s a hello kitty and my melody from the same year but it wasn’t the same series #both series were rereleases in 2007 and the original release year for hk/mm was earlier than cc/k #20in 2012 fiesta keroppi? $40 when he usually goes for $100+#(this includes shipping…)#was devastated to find an etsy listing for the 2010 limited keroppi build a bear for $85 that had already sold…#the next cheapest one of those is like $140 #and dont get me fucking started on chococat #no build a bear should EVER go for $500 #like be serious. maybe it was limited edition 14 years ago but it’s still a damn stuffed animal #manifesting they rerelease the original sanrio build a bears to beat the price gougers into submission #the intersection of two special interests: sanrio and buying things from people who don’t know what they have #throwback to the 1993 keroppi squeaky toy that i thrifted for 25 cents #just looked it up to see and i found the exact same one but only on worthpoint #he used to be a keychain… mine is just the little guy with no chain #comparable one from the same year same size/material etc just different design goes for $20+#context i refuse to make a worthpoint account and pay them just to see what things sold for on ebay they can kiss my ass #me when i need to infodump but gf is at work and has already heard like half of this

man, I love this ship so much actually. I did what I always do when I get this storm anxiety and I watched goofy videos and reels all day and today ha get like three days and also I’m just so so so stressed about tomorrow night cause my whole family is gonna be split up around the county and I’m so so…. Not ok.

The Bastards of Waters

a/n: this is inspired by a fic called watch the world burn by mylordstrong on ao3:)

Summary: Lucerys is bastardized by a king Aemond Targaryen to become Lucerys Waters, who births him bastard sons. Those sons are forced to journey to the Red Keep, away from their beloved mother and homely manse after the King demands them brought to him, as his Stag Queen has only ever birthed him girls in their 15 years of marriage. Luke, humiliated and angry, warns and prepares his children of the dangers they’ll be facing once they step foot within their hateful father’s castle.

a/n 2: uh, luke’s in his “alicent era with a hint of rhaenyra losing her mind era” is all I’m saying for this :)

“Keep your brothers in line, Daemon, never let them out of your sight, never let them be alone with anyone in the Keep,” Luke whispers to his eldest, as he clutches the teen’s face harshly. It was the first time Daemon had ever felt pain in his mother’s hold - it was always soft, warm and maternal. He couldn’t blame his faultless mother, he was worried for his children going into unknown and hostile territory after all.

Daemon’s hands shot up to grip his loving mother’s fingers gently, prying them from his face to hold within his own, “I will ensure my brothers never know pain in the Keep, and I promise they’ll be safe and protected as long as I’m still around, mother.”

He can feel his kind mother’s hands shaking, as his eyes stared back into his soft mother’s dark milky hues.

“…All right, I’ll be holding you to that promise,” Luke rasps out, as he frees himself from his son’s tight grip. He cups Daemon’s cheeks, gently this time, with enough warmth he could see his son physically melt in his palms. “Bring you brothers here, I need you all here to tell you of what to expect in that viper’s den.”

“Yes, mother.”

After getting his brothers into the manse’s main room, all sitting on the sofa, Luke rants and warns his sons of the Red Keep’s dangers.

“You mustn’t be alone nor trust anyone in the Keep, everyone there’s no better than the people in Flea Bottom. They lie, kill, cheat, steal and brag - they will cause you harm and death and suffering. Trusting a person in the Keep, and being vulnerable with any of them is a death sentence in that wretched place,” he starts, pacing back and forth while biting his nails red. “You mustn’t make any mistake, if you do, they will pounce on you for it, humiliate you for it - be as perfect as you can be, and watch and protect each other’s backs. The only ones you can trust in the Keep are yourselves and each other, never forget that.”

Luke can see the fear and hate erupting in the eyes of his children. “Good,” he thought, “that hatred and fear shall keep them alive and protected within the Cursed King’s grasp.”

He knows what he’s doing is wrong, that installing more hate and fear to fester within his own sons might lead to drastic consequences, but he couldn’t careless.

He birthed his sons alone, he taught his sons alone, he entertained his sons alone, he raised his sons alone. If anyone had any problems with how he raised them, full of nothing but spiteful, bitter and frightful contempt for nearly everyone in Westeros - then they should’ve never left him alone to raise his own children as he sees fit.

Luke was quite glad. While he had few friends and loyal followers, he still had allies he knew he could trust.

The many former gold cloaks loyal to his step-father, Daemon Targaryen, trained his sons and vowed to protect both Luke and them - and to join their rebellion when the time comes to fruition. Two of his mother’s handmaidens, who were there for all of her births - and her death - had vowed to ardently stay beside Luke for when the Greens fall, and he or one of his sons takes the throne.

The White Worm - Lady Mysaria - and the whores of Westeros, whom never achieved the peace and equality they were promised by the Black Queen as a result of her death from the traitorous Greens. Nettles, whom seeks revenge for the death of Daemon Targaryen, vows to see the dragon Vhagar and her rider fall in disgrace and dishonor.

Rhaena and Baela, whom quietly gathered allies within the Free Cities, and raised Morning in secrecy away from prying eyes and ears. And the Starks and Arryns, disgraced Houses for their loyalty to the true Queen, Rhaenyra Targaryen, had vowed to see and support Lucerys Waters, the last living son of the rightful heir, sit on the Iron Throne - even if their devotion and fealty were done in secret codes and whispers.

Luke sighs as he halts his rants. Cupping his hands together, he raises them to his face to cover his vicious expression from his beloved sons. Turning his eyes to them, he gently brings his children together, and grips the hands of his youngest, staring in the eyes of all his sons. He finally lets out a final warning in a pale and muted voice; “When the King’s stag wife births the son of the blood of the dragon that he wants, flee as fast and as far away as you can - He will not hesitate to kill all of you, and he will not hesitate to kill me, your mother, either. That man is our family’s ruin and cause of suffering. Do you understand, my loves?”

Also, it’s kinda funny that Marvel repeatedly acknowledges that CA:TWS is their best and most popular movie (bc it genuinely is, even the film bros regard it far higher than IW and EG) yet they have two of the main characters from that movie that they can expand on and make similar storylines with and they just……give them half baked arcs and messy scripts, or cut their screen time……

Like maybe, idk just a random thought, just a potential solution, but maybeeee it’d be easier to create that level of success again if you expanded on the characters that were in that movie to begin with….Like maybe you could recreate the effect of CA:TWS if you wrote a good script about the new Captain America and the former winter soldier….maybe you could give those two characters from the fan favorite movie the spotlight…..idk tho that might be a huge reach
