I am biased. If you don't like it, find a different tournament. (I do think I'm kind of mild about it? Whatever...)

Tags- I've used tags on all my posts, but this was my first tournament so when I started I didn't make them specific enough, and now I don't wanna change them. Anything that isn't a poll but is tournament related, is tagged 'tournament related'. Anything that has nothing to do with the tournament, is tagged as 'not tournament related'. Polls are tagged with 'polls' as well as 'best siblings tournament', the names of the characters, their source and whatever other tags I deem appliable. Reblogs of other tournaments are tagged "other tournaments", and polls that aren't the tournament are tagged "other polls".

Anti-propaganda is allowed, but keep it respectfull and remember what the tournament is about. I don't want to hear yammering about how much you hate a character and how bigoted or toxic they are. I want to hear about how their being a sibling doesn't make sense or how they don't actually care about eachother or how they weren't even raised together so how can they be the better siblings etc.

Anyone who's actually homophobic, transphobic, biphobic, aphobic, islamophobic, anti-semetic, racist, sexist, ableist, fatphobic, etc is NOT welcome at this tournament whatsoever, no exeptions.

Can we take a moment to address the fact that fat people aren't allowed to have a type or taste unless it's other fat people?

If a person with an "acceptable" body type (thin, midsized or muscular) is typically most attracted to another one of these "acceptable" varieties of body that isn't their own... for example a thin person having a type for muscular people... it's normal.

It's just a preference, right?

If anyone with one of those "acceptable" body types listed above is attracted to fat people, it can either be seen as odd or cute. Toxic attitudes towards it range from:

"Aw, I love that you look for personality!" to "Seriously? Look at you! You could do so much better, don't settle for less!" to "Good for you, giving them a chance anyway!"

Even if some of that sounds positive, it's all horribly fatphobic. Not healthy. Not equal. Yet, for the most part, being attracted to fat people when you aren't fat yourself isn't seen as a huge issue or really discussed at all. People might just tell you that you're selling yourself short or have bad taste.

BUT.

If you're fat, all those rules change.

Into muscular builds? Skinny bodies? Midsized frames?

"That's not fair, how do you expect him to stay in shape and be sexy for you when you don't even try to take care of yourself? You would swallow him. He deserves someone who keeps themselves as trim as he is. You should be with someone more your size."

Just because I'm fat, that doesn't mean I suddenly lose all capacity for taste as to what I'd prefer my partner to look like. I'm not less worthy of having a partner I'm attracted to. I don't deserve less say or lose rights to my opinions because of my body type.

I'm attracted to skinny men. That's my type.

That doesn't mean I wouldn't go out with a fat guy or a muscular guy or a midsized guy. Doesn't mean I think fat guys are ugly or muscular men are gross. I'm generally not particularly inclined to other builds rather than thin ones, but if he was sweet to me and checked all my boxes, I would totally go out with him! Without hesitation! Despite his body type.

No one is ugly for their appearance. "Ugly" is something inside you. I don't think that shallow. Fatphobes? They're who's truly ugly.

And racists, sexists, punkphobes, etc.

But still... generally... I have a preference.

It was okay for you.

'Fiction is value-neutral' what about racist fiction? Homophobic sexist abliest fatphobic transphobic fiction? Is that value neutral?

It's really funny to watch you assign value to something in real time.

I meant what I said anon - fiction is value neutral. Fiction itself can neither be good or bad, legal or illegal, moral or immoral by its innate being. These are not values inherent to fiction; they are values humans assign to specific pieces of fiction, and those values are subjective, contextual, and even cultural on some levels. If you're unable to contextualize this in the abstract, then you're not at the right level to even have this conversation.

Part of the problem you people (antis) have is that you really have not managed the nuance of how depiction isn't endorsement. It is the human behaviors towards other people based on protected classes such as race, gender, etc. that determine whether or not someone is a bigot in that area. Not what they think - how they act towards others. Because, controversial opinion here, thoughts and feelings are not reality. Full stop.

A piece of fiction cannot be racist, sexist, or homophobic to you because it can take no literal actions against you. A piece of fiction isn't the one not hiring you because your last name is too ethnic. A piece of fiction isn't hurling slurs at you personally because it thinks you shouldn't exist. A piece of fiction isn't denying you medical care because of biases against numbers on a scale. A piece of fiction isn't closing the elevators to make people take the stairs in a misguided attempt at promoting health. A piece of fiction isn't locking access to an elevator so that 'undesirables' (read: the homeless) don't use it. A piece of fiction isn't passing legislation making gender-affirming care illegal.

A piece of fiction CAN depict all those things I mentioned. A piece of fiction can depict a person who refuses to hire someone based on ethnicity - does that make the piece of fiction racist on its face? Well, that's up to the human reading it; some humans will think it's a terrible indulgent depiction that is absolutely awful while another might think it's a thoughtful and accurate depiction of current struggles. A piece of fiction can depict a person who uses homophobic slurs against another, but that in and of itself does not make the work homophobic. A piece of fiction can absolutely depict someone who would deny food to someone based on their current weight, but it cannot actually slap the food out of a fat person's hand and make them not eat it.

The fiction tells a story of which the bigotries are elements, but since the fiction can take no direct action on those elements, it cannot inherently be a bigotry. It can be assigned bigotry values by the humans reading it, but it is not inherently bigoted just by existing. The fiction itself is value neutral; the rest is the value you have assigned to it based on your biases, education, religion (if any), morals and values, culture, and the context you have encountered the fiction in.

I'm sorry you want an easy way to deal with your disgust but there isn't one; you can't moralize your discomfort with certain media away by throwing buzzwords at it.

I've gone through a lot of different opinions about plastic surgery. I was raised to think it was gross and entirely the result of people submitting to mainstream oftentimes racist beauty standards. But I don't think this is always the case anymore, and I think that's a result of me thinking super deeply about what plastic surgery actually is and how different communities interface with it. For instance, we don't blink twice about ffs, top surgery, or someone getting facial reconstruction who could technically medically keep on living just fine without it. These are all deemed as necessary in our minds because for the people getting it done, they are. Nobody would tell any of those people that it's unnatural and they should love and embrace the body they have, well some people definitely would but their transphobic and or weird. Given this, I think when someone approaches plastic surgery outside of the lens of dysphoria or something else beyond their control we should grant them the same grace we grant the aforementioned groups and assume they understand themselves better than we understand them. If it makes somebody happy and it aligns better with who they see themselves as on the inside why shouldn't they get lip injections, breast augmentation, or hair plugs? like I'm incredibly overjoyed to get to live in a time where we can augment our bodies to more effectively reflect how we see them internally, whether that be through tattoos, piercings, or plastic surgery, it's all so incredibly fantastic to me.

Don't get me wrong the plastic surgery industry can be quite predatory and mainstream beauty standards are incredibly ageist, sexist, racist, and fatphobic, and they can both cause a whole heck of a lot of harm. But I don't feel that what anybody else chooses to do with their body is any of my business.

I really truly mean this with human to human love, but I just think it might be a good idea for you to examine your opinions and how they might be affecting communities you're not expecting them to. For instance the current amount of importance placed on the medical system to validate transness, needing to acquiesce to born in the wrong body / brain chemistry arguments to access services that people need.

*I know that dysphoria and wanting lip injections are not on the same level of mental need. But when it comes down to it, they're both expressions of people wanting to see themselves how they see themselves, and I think everyone deserves that.*

This is just another vent post, but this really pisses me off. Why can't Youtube actually have a blacklisting or blocking feature that works? I'm tired of seeing offensive shit pop up in the algorithm, even when I dislike a video or hit not interested it still gets recommended to me, especially in Youtube shorts. I've dealt with some not so great algorithms before such as Instagram, but atleat I could block a user and never see them again.

Blocking channels on YouTube doesn't work at all. In fact, I don't even think you can block people anymore, now you can only "hide" users from your channel. It's great that these hidden channels can't comment on my videos, but I can still see their content despite them being "hidden" from my channel. I'll search something in the search bar and still have videos from channels that I've hidden show up.

There's apart of me that wants to continue to use youtube as I grew up with it, and there are alot of amazing content creators on it, but using it feels like such a chore sometimes that I'd rather not use it at all. Honestly, it's gotten so unbearable to the point where I only try to use youtube on my computer because it's the only place where I can use the Youblock extension .

I just want to watch my favorite channels and content without being recommended fatphobic, sexist, racist, LGBTQ+ phobic, etc stuff. I'm reminded enough that people hate me for existing, especially in public or even just looking at the news, so it would be nice if I could actually enjoy my time on the internet without being shown bigoted shit.

Google has so much information on its users, but it still can't be bothered to implement blocking features so that users can curate their own feeds. I swear the basic functions on YouTube keep getting worse. I can't even look for specific videos without being recommended content that has nothing to do with what I searched for. You can't even filter videos in the search bar by oldest date. This makes it harder to find older videos, especially if they aren't popular, essentially making them lost to time. It would be nice if there were settings where I could turn recommendations off in the search results. Like give your users options, don't just decide what they should watch.

This makes me wish there were more companies like Tiktok to compete with YouTube. I am in no way saying that Tiktok is perfect or even less bigoted than YouTube, however, due to Tiktok's successful algorithm, it does pressure other companies to hopefully do the same and upgrade their own algorithms to actually be more relevant to their users.

One of the main reasons why I spend so much time on the internet is to find and engage in things that bring me joy, further my understanding of certain topics, or help me feel empowered. It just sucks to have some of this taken away from me because YouTube can't be bothered to care more about the wishes of it's users than forced engagement.

This content that will not be tolerated includes the sexualisation of characters that are a part of a live action series & are played by real life minors, regardless of the age of the character.

Characters that are underage & included in nsfw content will always be animated or drawn & will under no circumstances be connected to any underage real life people.

Even if a character in a live action series etc. is an adult & is portrayed by an adult actor, they won't be involved in any content on this blog. Tell me anything you think about Danganronpa or Your Turn To Die characters! Ns//fw or sfw (but probably ns//fw, let's be real), I believe all opinions are valid, and even if I don't agree, I'll never shame anyone for what they think or like. We don't do that here. I just want to know what people think and I'll reply with my personal opinion. (And possibly build on scenarios. Especially if it's smut. Please talk to me about smut.)

What I like to write:

I’ll write for almost every character, besides a select few, and it also depends on what I’m writing. For example, I personally don’t like writing or reading smut about Hifumi but I’m fine with writing him in general. If I don’t want to write something, I just won’t. I’ll never judge a request or another writers work, I just won’t write it myself if it’s not my thing.

I really need to rant.

I'm not a violent person. At least I wasn't. But lately all I've been thinking about is smashing their faces in. I almost punched someone today and it shocked me to my core, that's why I felt the need to write this. The thoughts are one thing. But acting on it? On one hand, I can't blame myself. They're assholes. Complete, utter assholes. They can burn in hell... and they probably will. That makes me feel a little better I guess. Not the point though. I wonder if they seriously don't know that what they say has an affect on others. Or maybe they do know it and that's why they say it. Why do people laugh at their jokes. I can't believe how many racist, sexist, fatphobic people there actually are. How about some respect. C'mon, the world needs to get it together. I'm actually ashamed of society. Suicide isn't a joke but they don't care and somehow still find a way to shove their popularity in everyone's faces. I know I can't punch them. Honestly my weak ass will probably be humiliated. But how can I sit here and listen to them and not do anything about it. Smh. Fuck society and fuck them.

some people are actually trash.

i was justifying that shitty guy's actions for the longest time but people around me has made me realize that, it wasn't me, it's him.

all i ever did was wanting to be treated with decency. i guess u can't ask a shitty guy to be good. for some reason it's "too much to ask for". he called me spoiled to be wanting to be treated nicely.

it baffles me how his friends are still his friends and actually let him treat them like doormats. what does he has that makes them have their heads up in his ass so much? it's crazy.

i admit, i liked playing games with him but that's all. he isn't a good friend, he's not a good listener, he only thinks of himself, racist, sexist and fatphobic. literally the worst kind of guy. those kind of guys who don't even take care of themselves, don't shower but go online and rate girls. trash.

he manipulates everyone around him, making people think that he's always right, he gaslights them too. such narcissist. how does he still has friends? i know i sound like im only here to trash talk him but im really glad im finally seeing all of these.

i know he will probably say that we're not friends anymore because of me. because of how pushy i am and such. note that all i did was bother him to stream his game for me. literally just that. thing is, so does his other friends. so for him to completely treat me like shit for this, doesnt make any fucking sense. oh i don't give u ur space? so does others. u just looking for shit to say to me after i called u out for being fucking mean for no reason. gaslighter type beat.

so sad to meet these kind of people. i guess some people didn't get enough love and affection growing up. hope he'll realize how much nicer the world could be if we could just be nice to each other.
