#this is like when i had just started 11th#and i would sleep just 4 or maximum 5 hours every night#and i did this for 3 months#and i kept getting sick much more often than usual but ignored it#and finally got terribly sick with a fever that just would not go#and then i slept for 3 whole days straight#only waking up to eat#3 whole days#and then i was not sick anymore in fact that was the first time in months i felt lucid#it was like a factory reset 💀#im gonna need to do this all over again at the end of this cursed exam season

#I’m not even DOWN THERE YET and I want to fucking KILL HER#I have to work Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas. I live four hours away from my family#I told her this MANY TIMES I said I’ll drive down after work on Christmas Eve be there Christmas morning but I need to leave by 3-4 to get#home at a reasonable hour so I can have time to unpack/catch up on a couple days of chores/get plenty of sleep#she called me last night and told me she didn’t schedule Christmas stuff until SIX PM#and when I said why tf did you do that I’m not staying that late#she got mad and upset and was like ‘it’s the only time everyone is free :(‘#BUT THEN proceeded to tell me we were having lunch with her HUSBAND’S family at noon#(ppl I am not close with never have been literally don’t talk to)#and everyone I know is like ‘just leave when you said you were going to anyways’#and like yeah I could but then my family is gonna be ENRAGED that I didn’t do Christmas stuff with them#and they’re like ‘well explain that your mom didnt listen to when you said you needed to leave’#but the thing is. no matter what. they’re going to take her side#I should sacrifice my time and comfort to spend time with them because they’re FAMILY#never mind that literally not a SINGLE ONE OF THEM has EVER come up to visit me#IM always expected to drive down there. but that sacrifice doesn’t count it’s not good enough#but if I stay that late I won’t be getting home until AT LEAST midnight or later#cuz my family has no fucking concept of time so if it starts at six that means it doesn’t ACTUALLY start until 7 so most of them might be#there by 8 so I’ll be expected to stay until at least 10 to sufficiently catch up with all of them#I’m going to scream I’m going to cry#if I leave early I’m the awful ungrateful terrible bitch who never comes to see any of them#but none of them could adjust their days by just a few hours to see me before I needed to leave#FOR MY FUCKING JOB !!!!!!!! SOMETHING COMPLETELY OUT OF MY CONTROL#and like the thing is. my piece of shit manipulative bitch mother#I KNOW she did this on purpose#I know she didn’t plan this until six to FORCE me to stay longer because she was mad I wasn’t staying long#(again… because of work… something I can’t control)#so she’s orchestrated this to put me in this position#where I have to suck it up and stay and be exhausted and have tired migraines for a week cuz I get only a couple hours of sleep and then#or leave and make everyone pissed. I was asleep for most of yesterday. and today as well. like I basically only woke up to eat, watch tv for a little bit, and then I fell asleep again. I'm so tired and dizzy.
I'm really hoping it'll be better tomorrow. I really gotta start/continue writing my thesis. 😭
#it's so fucking stupid#last night I woke up on the couch at 2 am. then stayed awake for about 4 hours and went back to bed. I think I was awake for 5 or MAYBE 6#hours total 😭#and today was worse. I tried to only sleep a few hours in the morning. but fell asleep again on the couch less than an hour later#literally all I did was eat. start watching a youtube video. and fall asleep again.#the cats kept me company so that was nice#the nightmares were especially horrible though 😔#all I want to do is go to bed. but I haven't done ANYTHING today. New scans (not Guilty Gear) ready to go for tomorrow. I got Lightning the Argent ported into Scrivener too. This OCR'd manuscript is kind of rough, I have no idea what Scrivener did to the formatting when it imported the docx... But still better than what I had to do to get Begin's Japanese manuscript together lol
#textpost#A good portion of you weren't here yet when I translated Begin but here's how I made the JP manuscript:#1. Wasted several hours trying to find an OCR that worked well on desktop. Failed#2. Found a really good one on mobile but it only had a 3 day free trial for multiple page uploads#3. Alright. 3 days to scan uh... almost 200 pages. Ok. No problem. [blog title]#4. Took pictures of Begin from the Bookwalker app 10 pages at a time#5. Now I needed to get the text onto my computer. Pasted it into Telegram one page at a time#6. Pasted it into the Google Document#7. Very slowly edited it by comparing it to the ebook on desktop#I did this over one weekend. I think I got like 15 hours of sleep over 3 days lol#My eyes were pulsing with how bloodshot they were by the end (light sensitivity debuff)

ughhhh nobody let me on this website until i make the changes i need to make to my resume and apply to some jobs
#i was gonna buckle down and work on my resume all day yesterday#but i had insomnia tuesday night THENNNN was woken up at 8am sharp by construction. which went on ALL DAY btw!!!#and i was too tired to go anywhere else bc this was my second night in a row of getting < 6 hours of sleep#i spent a solid 8 hours or so playing sims while watching veep. i was completely useless all day and it was kinda awesome lol#my resume isn't *bad* obviously because i've gotten a few interviews but i think i can make it better#i think i need to change how i describe the stuff i did in grad school bc i think people don't see it as experience in data science#they see my resume and THINK i only have 1.5 years of experience but everything i did those 4 years of grad school was data science!!!#i came up with research questions and trained machine learning models and performed hypothesis testing etc.!!!#it was just in a different domain!!! so i need to reword that section of my resume and then i think i'll be good.#...... ok i'm gonna stop stalling and get to work now lmao#m.txt
