How are youuu?!😭 Miss u so so much😭 I've been absent from Tumblr since May, because I have to finish my thesis, and glad that finally I graduated in August🥺 I miss those nights and days where I almost spent my time on Tumblr, looking for ur post or sometimes asking random things about mysme or just ranting about my life....🥺

Honestly now I'm not really into mysme anymore...... but I want to catch up with my fav author and artist (esp. you!!) to fulfill my love for mysme again!! Kinda miss that time too🥺

Ah, anyway. During my thesis progress, I started watching [Spy x Family] for my entertainment. I love that series so much and the opening & closing song!! And because of the closing song, now I'm into J-Pop and currently in love with a singer named Yuuri🥲You have to listen to his popular song like Kakurenbo, Dried Flowers, and Betelgeuse in THE FIRST TAKE channel!! His voice really breathtaking and am in love🥺 Ah, do you have any fav J-Pop, Kait?

I'm happy to hear that you finished your thesis! Good job! I know that isn't easy work for anyone and it takes up so much of your time until it's completed. Pat yourself on the back for me! I hope it gets to be a little easier for you these days now that you've got a chance to catch your breath.

Hm. What's new with me? Well, I'm still in love with Saeran Choi. That fact will never change. I'm grinding every day to write things about all the ways I love him. I'm working on my personal life so I haven't been able to start my next x Reader story quite yet but I'm looking forward to getting that out there when I'm feeling more in control of my very specific circumstances. Taking stock and putting things together can take a lot of effort, after all. So, I'm focusing on that a lot lately.

I don't listen to a lot of J-Pop proper... sure, I listen to a lot of Anime openings/endings sure but I don't have a designated band. But, I do watch Spy x Family so I know what you're talking about! I'll have to put more time into searching for more music.

Iida drank a second cup of his special orange juice - used only on commemorative days and events - thoughtfully. His birthday party would be late in the evening and, since his family wanted to make it a surprise, he would spend the whole day hanging out with his brother, Aizawa-san and Hizashi-san until all the preparations would be complete. He, of course, offered himself to help with all the decorations, but his parents were firm on their decision and Tenya would be lying if he said he wasn’t excited to have some quality time with his brother and the other two heroes. Their work usually demanded a lot of their time.

Still locked on his thoughts, as the doorbell rang, the teenager opened the door without a second thought in a polite stance, being rudely pulled out of his own mind as he stared at Aizawa and Hizashi, both with dangerous smirks that suddenly filled Iida with clear memories of a tradition Tensei started on the boy’s birthday and his ‘uncles’ (Tenya one day protested at the nickname, pointing it didn’t make sense call them like that because they aren’t blood related. However, his parents explained that this was just a way to express fondness and closeness for someone you care about. The younger one began to call them uncles with more frequency, except on social gatherings) caught on it as well.

“Hello! ~” Hizashi chipped, making goosebumps run down his spine as Iida closed the door on their face, internally wincing at the clear disrespectful act, however valuing much more his safety than being a polite host.

(But, actually, he wasn’t truly anxious about it. They were always nice and kind with him, making him smile and enjoy himself, even when he wasn’t the perfect model he struggled to be.)

Tensei’s head peaked from the second living room’s hall as he dashed at full speed across it, accompanying his baby bro with ease and drops of confusion. “Who was it at the door?”

“Uncles!” Tenya frowned in concentration as he turned the corner, lowering his speed enough to not go face first on the wall, cheeks slightly red and sputtering starting to become present on his tune. “They are going to do that hideous tr-tradition you started when I was a kid!” And Iida Tenya, future hero from a whole noble ancestry of skilled heroes, definitely did NOT pout at his brother’s carefree laughter.

“Oh, yeah! I forgot about that! It’s so polite of them to help me to remember, don’t you think?”

“No!! It’s not polite! High level heroes like you shouldn’t be committing such embarrassing, hideous act in the first place, even less repeating it yearly!!”

“Aww, you’re repeating your words. You’re excited, aren’t you?” Tensei smiled, knowing his brother enough to notice that gleam in his eyes and the lack of a real protest in his words. He ignored the squeaked ‘NO!’ thrown at him and smiled even wider, doing a fast maneuver that put his body between his brother and the door, hugging him on his chest with a ‘oof’ when they inevitably collided. “You know what? Since they’re being so nice with us, I think we should repay their kindness, right?” Tensei grinned when he heard the footsteps coming closer, shouting “HEY, GUYS! BIRTHDAY BOY IS HERE!”

“Tensei!!” But he was already smiling, squirming excitedly on his brother’s hold, especially when a loud, happy ‘YEAHHH!’ boomed through the house. “No, no!! This is betrayal! Deception! Dishonesty! Trickery! Treason!!!”

“Now you’re just reciting the dictionary.” Ingenium laughed, no hint of regret on his voice, distractedly nodding at his friends when they appeared at the door. “Look,” he whispered, conspiratorially, “I will need you to distract them until Shouta lowers his guard so I can sneak upon him. Hizashi would never pass up an opportunity to tickle him too, so you will be safe to run and get something useful for us to bribe them with, ok?” The younger gasped, quickly nodding. “Right. So, are you ready for your part of the plan, sidekick?”

“YES!” Iida chomped the air, voice louder than he originally intended, but his squeal even louder as the other Iida squeezed his side before any hint of what they were talking about could be noticed by the two guests, who now were now much closer, I might say.

“Now, now. It seems like a little listener here is excited for his so desired birthday tickles!!” Hizashi wiggled his fingers in his direction, meaneancily. “Oh! They grow up so fast! It feels like it was yesterday we would be playing heroes, and I, the most incredible villain LoudChaos would be defeated by Ingenium Junior and his vicious attacks of kicking his pillows at me!!” The blond pinched his cheek playfully, watching as the groan of his nephew dissolved in a determined look a few seconds later, energetic gestures following him.

“You will never be able to crack me, villains. Not even with embarrassing memories from my childhood!”

“I don’t know, I think those times when we had to buy at least three copies of your favorite plushie because otherwise you wouldn’t let us wash the original was pretty- ack! Hey, hey!” Tensei snickered as he tried to dodge from Tenya’s warning kicks, “I was kidding! I was kidding!”

“Want me to hold him?” Aizawa asked nonchalantly, a small quirk of his mouth showing his amusement about the whole situation. At Tensei's affirmative nod he held the younger’s arms above his head, briefly messing with his neat combed hair before smirking. “Congrats for being twelve years next to death, brat.”

Tenya deadpanned at him.

“Ooh, right, twelve!!” Hizashi’s fingers were teasingly getting closer, slowly and then even slowlier, almost touching a spot before pretending to launch at others, resulting in kicks and muffled shrieks from the younger one. “You know what that means, right, Shou?”

“Yes. We will have to tickle him for twelve entire years.”

“Aw, such a pity.”

“No! Lies! That is incorrect!”

“Is that so, not-so-little listener? What should we do then?”

“According to your rather silly and foolery tradition you should tickle me for twelve entire minutes. One minute for each year.”

Aizawa and Yamada shared a look, Tensei holding his chuckles and tears in the background. His brother was just way too much precious.

“We should what?” Shouta questioned with a voice completely devoid of emotion, maybe that is why Tenya felt the answer slip away from his lips easily even before he could register the potential trap.

“Tickle me!”

“Well,” Hizashi attacked, skilled fingers tickling and tickling and tickling every spot they could research. “If you insist.”

There were fingers dancing on his ribs and poking his stomach as a maddening prodding began to be delivered on his sides and even a squeeze found its way to his knee. A much more lazy, almost unbearably light touch drew shapes on his neck, scribbling lightly and softly to his ears and then all the way back to his collarbone, going from one side to another, over and over again.

“Coothie coothie coo, little listener!!” His loud laughter, intertwined with squeaks, yelps and guffaws due the mix between all the soft and energetic tickles, almost made the teasing disappear. Key word: Almost. “Have a tickle, tickle here!” He shook his head, trying to dislodge the fingers on his neck. “And tickle, tickle, tickle there!” Spidering on his shoulder blades made him squirm more. “Have all the tickles, tickly tickles everywhere!!”

“YOHOHOHOU WILL NOT DEFEHEHEAT ME!” Tenya’s smile was almost taking over his entire face, chuckles and giggles spilling freely from him. Yet, - he decided, - he has an important part of the plan and would not lose easily! That was the only reason why he continued firm on his position, figuratively laughing his head out, and definitely not because of how their attention and silliness made him feel happy, safe and loved.

“Of course not.” Shouta paused for a few pieces of seconds, checking his phone. “You still have five minutes left. I am sure you will agree to a defeat, eventually.”

“Nehehever!” Iida did his best to shout, quick, airy snickers floating in the air when Yamada decided to give him a break, leaving only Shouta’s torment to keep the other smiling.

“Hey, hey, hey, little listener!” Tenya knew this tune. He knew that when Uncle Hizashi used that he was planning something. His smile became wobblier and he refused to open his eyes. “Come on, don’t let me hang on here! Look at me, pleaaase?”

The boy just shook his head, eyes still firmly closed.

“Shoouuu, he doesn’t want to see the big, great, amazing surprise I have for him! That is not fair.”

“He is smart. It’s not his fault for your lack of charisma.”

“Gaaasp! You wound me! Friendship ended with Ereaserhead, now my new best friend is Tensei!”

A pause.

“Buuuut, the vacancy is still open if maybe, just maaaybe,” A wiggly finger tickled under his chin, a snort flew in the air, “a clever teenager with a cute laughter and blue hair decides to open his eyes…”

“Yohohou will not crahack me!”

“Please,” Poke, “Please, please, pleasepleaseplease!” Poke, poke, pokepokepoke-

“Stop!” And then he finally opened his eyes, finding a very smiley Hizashi in front of him, making a silly face. He half groaned and half giggled, the former action only due Aizawa’s tickles, of course.

“Aw, you didn’t find it funny?” The blonde crossed his arms, pretending to think about his next move. “Donut worry, then! I know something that will make you laugh!!”

And then, in a blink of an eye, he blew a gigantic raspberry on his tummy.

In the exact moment Tenya’s loud, uncontrollable, squeaky belly laughter exploded, Aizawa let go of his arms, a surprised, sharp snorts coming out as Tensei hugged him from behind, his hands being quick to attack his unprotect armpits, low muffled squeals and rumbling chuckles beginning to float in the air.

Tenya fell on his knees, hugging his stomach and tittering non stop as Yamada tenderly ruffled his hair, giving the boy’s cheeks another gentle pinch before getting his attention captured by his best friend’s tickled laughter, his wicked grin making another appearance.

“Is it already Tickle Shouta hours??” He cracked and wiggled his fingers, making a whole show of getting prepared, crackling in delight as the black haired adult laughed harder at the silliness, laying completely limp on Ingenium’s embrace, face starting to be colored by a light red, legs kicking and a hand hiding his mouth, even if the corner of his smile was still clearly visible.

And, as Iida laid on the cold floor, rarefied giggles escaping from time to time, as new laughter and teases filled the room, he thought that he actually didn’t mind that much that such foolery, silly tradition had wormed its way in their family.

Am I about to post some inktober prompts from last year after I carelessly interrupted the """"""DAILY""""" posting regime I was on for no apparent reason other than "it stopped being 2020"?! ...... yes.

Okay, in all honesty, these last couple of months have been one long rollercoaster ride of uncomfortable "yes and's" that lead to waaay too much work that then my body just couldn't handle and, well.. bitch staged a coup and threw me down. Hard. #floored (?!) So a bunch of things I was really excitedly looking forward to happening later on this year are definitely NOT going to happen until I get my throne back- I mean, till I get my shit together health wise.

Also, I've been pretty sick so that's what's been happening. Was I vague enough?

PROMPT N° 10: HOPE

None of you will be able to tell cause the only way anyone can find some semblance of a speck of maybe a bit of a interrelatedness to Warrior Nun is my saying so. And well, the ring back there. Wwwhy is she wearing nothing but bandages?????? The blade??? Why is she half beat up?? What's up with that random square?! I'll never tell *cheeky wink* cause I have no idea.

PROMPT N° 13: DUNE

This was me being excited about the casting choices for this movie. Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya as the mains? Yas I want three to go of that combo, wrap em up and add a lil bow, fnx. Also, the fact that the project portfolio for the original concept of dune, one of the first things we saw on filmmaking school so many years ago is finally gonna get done in what looks like an epic piece with cinematographic potential a la MAD Max gold is kind of amazing. Fun fact: Salvador Dalí was supposed to play the bad guy originally.

PROMPT N° 16: ROCKET

Can I have that prosthetic blank back?

I made a Guardian of the Galaxy. The one that didn't blip that's Thor's friend, the mighty talking rabbit. This one was pretty obvious but honestly I'm quite amazed at how cool it turned out. It encouraged me to do more furry friends that you'll see on the next series ;)

PROMPT N°27: MUSIC

Oh to live in a world where every person in your life has a nice and professionally trained singing voice and you get to have a personal and personalized concert every time one of their heart strings are pulled.. but you can't control it. It's a damn good show and Jane Levy is pretty damn fine as Zoey, she's an amazing actor and I'm glad she got the recognition she deserved for her talents with a gg nom earlier this year. Her comedic timing is ON POINT I luv hr.

PROMPT N°19: DIZZY

My thoughts as my blood pressure dropped every morning after having my oatmeal based breakfast and right as I'm running after the bus through one of the shadiest and most dangerous neighborhoods with my back pack full of delicate camera equipment for college. Took me a while to understand that the blood pressure drops were caused by to the oatmeal being a vasodilator... Uhg no more of that before a run I guess.

sdjgdjs i’ve only ever watched cringe dramas if the man is good looking (but like only clips in this case) or i need to make fun of it with my friends . i like to indulge in horror when i’m anxious bc it somehow makes it better like 😭 at least i have it better than THOSE guys lmfao <3 but also i don’t like heavy gore ahaha.

some parts of the aib live action i liked WAY better especially bc the actors did so incredibly well portraying the characters (and the 7 of hearts game... bye i took so long coming to terms with it it’s WAY more emotional in the live) and i liked the first game (different in the manga) way more in the live. as for the manga i HATE the ending but also the manga introduces side characters and their stories and i really like that about it! the whole tunnel distance game was actually a side story in the manga and i kind of don’t like them centering the plot too much around arisu (but .. also.. it’s yamazaki kento... and i like that man too much for my dignity..) and also.... i don’t like how they left niragi and aguni’s status undisclosed like that??? like [LIGHT MANGA SPOILERS] they play a very key role in the manga so ?!?! i just hope s2 turns out well netflix i am begging u

I have Thoughts on HSMTMTS

Overall I liked it. It's cute and I've said this before but basically a Disney-friendly Glee. I do have a couple picks with it though but for the most part I'm glad it didn't seem to rely so heavily on nostalgia which is what a lot of these modern spin-offs/reboots/remakes/continuations/etc do these days. This'll basically fill the Andi Mack shaped hole in my heart so 🙏🏿

Positives

-Teens being played by teens!! I'm just so used to all high school shows casting 25 year olds so this is extremely refreshing. While some of the background characters look old asf (EJ's athlete friends looked like they should be doing some damn taxes) most of the speaking role cast are babies.

-It's actually?? Funny?? I was mostly concerned about the humor before going in. I thought it was gonna be all super on the nose, cringe-inducing, trying way too hard to sound #Modern and #Hip trash or constant references to the movies but most of the jokes hit for me! The delivery of "Of course I support the arts, I have ad-free Spotify" was *chef's kiss* because that line could've been really corny but it wasn't! Ngl I found myself laughing during parts I'm pretty sure I wasn't supposed to laugh during ahssjskdh like Miss Nini looking goofy as hell posting that video for Ricky and him just going "....eaux" lmaoo and anytime someone overreacts but ya it's gonna be a very funny show I can tell.

-Everyone can sing thank GOD

-Nini is a lovely main character. And yes, I think she's the real main protagonist and not Ricky. I hope we don't have to create a ProtectNini2k20 support group the way folks usually have to do when it comes to female leads on Disney shows (esp the ones of color) because she's precious!

-Not to be an Andi Mack stan on main but seeing Nini with her moms and her Filipino grandma...the whole 3 generations thing AM had going on might be able to be rekindled with this show. There's a lot more cultural/generational things I wanted to see from that show that could finally be realized here. Also I feel like this is Disney's way of making up for not letting Bex have a girlfriend 🤧

-My fave characters tho are the two messiest ones: Gina and EJ. I already knew I was gonna stan Sofia's character but after that episode she left us no choice. I get why Gina was cast as the understudy bc Nini's voice is amazing but they could've at least made my sis Ryan or something damn. And EJ just seems so fake and lowkey nefarious ajashkshdyx literally everything he says is so extra I can't wait to see what his deal is.

Negatives

-The big negative is Kourtney. It's like the director told the actress to do her best Raven Baxter impression and they just went with it. "Oh snap"???? Luv it's TWENTY NINETEEN....why are we still using the sassy black best friend trope? And it's like they thought it would be less offensive if they "updated" it by making her #woke....lmao. They don't even show her DOING anything all they have her do is say buzzwords and roll her neck like good LORD. I know I called this Glee but it's been 10 years since we first got Mercedes...you would've thought we'd have progressed by now. I just want ONE show with a darkskinned plus size black girl where she isn't relegated to this tired ass trope. Where is the depth?

-The other best friend character is just kinda...there? I mean sure they show in the promo that he has something going on with the girl who plays Ms. Darbus but other than that sir what is your purpose...

-I...don't like Ricky lmaooo I know I'm in the minority on this but the whole thing still feels manipulative as hell to me. He's going through too much rn and should really work on himself before committing to Nini. EJ seems like a snake though so neither option is looking too good for sis.

Questions

-I wonder how much of Glee they intend on copying ahsjsksdh like how far are we going with this...Miss Jen isn't giving me Schue vibes YET but the second she does something that would get her fired immediately in real life I'm gonna scream.

-How much more mature is this show gonna be? It's Disney+ so they can get away with a bit more but at the end of the day it's still the name of their most profitable and popular DCOM series on the line here. The show could have some real drama but not if they're unable to push things as far as they could be.

-On that note I'm just gonna come right out and say it is EJ gay?? And using Nini as a beard?? Because that's the ONLY explanation I have for why he's Like That with her that doesn't involve him using her for more PG-13 related reasons. But even then would Disney allow THREE gay characters on this show (and that's not even including Nini's moms)? Carlos/Seb is already confirmed, so for them to make another character gay would be a huge deal.

Twilight Thoughts (BEASTARS First Season Overview + General Thoughts and Feelings)

Ok, after watching the season finale (and proceeding to freak the frig out over that after credits scene), i think i’ll just talk about my overall thoughts about this first season since i picked it up back in October. think of this as my final thoughts on the series for awhile until season 2 drops. though, i don’t think i’ll be doing something like this in particular again. we’ll see.

So, this was a series that i was a tad hesitant on looking at years ago since the art style kinda deterred me a bit. but after the anime was announced, i decided that that would be the time i give it a shot. and i gotta say, i was surprised. like, i had my hopes a little high cuz of Zootopia, but i didn’t expect ANY of the crazy stuff that happened over the course of this first season. like, none of the trailers ever showed any of Haru’s uhh....naked moments or the black market stuff (aside from Gouhin) so had i known about that, i think i might’ve quickly noped outta there. but since it came to me as it happened, i was already so invested in this strange world and it’s characters that i just dealt with it and kept going. and i think that’s something i definitely needed since if imma be honest, i haven’t watched that much anime in recent years.

Yeah, i marathoned Noragami (which i loved to bits and am sad there’s no season 3) and kept up with Boruto and My Hero for awhile last year. and i liked Fire Force and Black Clover this year. but for some reason, Beastars just.....sparked something that made me eagerly anticipate it’s new episodes every week. from beginning to end, i was hooked. not one episode felt like it wasn’t necessary or like it was padding to fill out the season (and even if it was, i like these characters so much that i honestly wouldn’t mind as explained on my meme blog). the plot twists made me genuinely shocked, the goddamn cliffhangers had me at the edge of my seat excited (and in some cases, worried but in a good way) for what was to transpire in the next episode and any preconceived notions i had going into this were just thrown out the window cuz of how things turned out by the end of it. it was such a wild ride that it actually pushed me to want to read the original material. and that almost NEVER happens.

This show got me thinkin’ like a crazy shipper too what with all those cute and crazy moments between the characters (ex. literally anyone with Legoshi) and hell, i even feel like this is the one show in existence where i actually kinda feel like an OT3 is very much plausible. lmao

Like, i’m a very emotional person when it comes to consuming media. i let myself feel what’s going on no matter what i watch/play because i know that’s what the people who created these stories would want me to experience. and trust me, i’ve felt a LOT of emotions during this show. especially if anything happened to Legoshi. like, when he gets pissed, i felt worried about him. when he cries, i genuinely feel the pain he feels and wish that things would just lighten up on him for once. like, with most protagonists, i tend to end up moving to a different character cuz usually they’re just written pretty basically (Asta from Black Clover), they’re one note (Davis from Digimon 02) or they’re silent protagonists being molded by the player’s choices (the Persona protags). for example, i like Sora from Kingdom Hearts, but i luv Roxas much more because of his story and all the pain he goes through because of Sora. also Sora in KH3D was such a dumbass and i’m sdadfdfsdf

But with Legoshi, i don’t get that. i get a Roxas tier character that i want so bad to see get a happy ending. i get a protagonist that i would actually choose over the other members of the cast (even though i absolutely luv Louis, Jack and Haru as well for various reasons. hell, it’s hard to even say i hate Juno cuz despite her Rise-level attempts to get into Legoshi’s pants, she has respectable ambitions.) that grows from this socially awkward guy who’d rather keep things lowkey to this badass that would fight through a gang of lions just to show the one he cares about how much he wants be with her and to make amends for almost killing her the night they met and that just hits me in the heart in a way i am totally here for.

Now, over the course of this season’s run, i’ve been making a ton of fanart (some of which is still in the works at the time of this post) and for the first time, i’ve been liveblogging like this. i’m happy that my time in the fandom for this series, while still growing, has so far been a very welcoming experience. everyone i’ve met so far has been encouraging of my content and, coming from fandoms like Digimon where i’ve kinda been scarred by Deviantart discourse, it’s really brought up my spirits. like, i know a lot of you probably don’t like and/or care about reading these walls of text, but i appreciate anyone who does take the time to hear me ramble about this strange gem of a show. hell, me talking and drawing about it has gotten a few of my friends to watch it and honestly, i’m glad. i would totally love more people to talk about it cuz Beastars deserves to be talked about. under all those slightly sexual undertones lies some of the best writing i’ve seen in awhile and i can’t wait for season 2 to continue this story.

And after all this, i just wanted to thank you for reading up to this point. again, this’ll probably be the last liveblog for awhile, but i definitely won’t stop drawing stuff for this series. for those who only follow me for my Beastars stuff, i hope you’ve had a happy holidays and i hope you have a happy new year as well.

ALIIEEEENZZZ!! in anime (A very, very confused rant about a anime and “power relations” tropes between humans and aliens)

So I just finished watching Planet With and it was sort of interesting, it cannot be said that it has the best story, soundtrack or graphic arts (be it animation, character design, backgrounds, etc) but certainly interesting because it got me thinking about how aliens are depicted in anime compared to other media.

Planet With:

If you do not know what anime show I am talking about, Planet With is a science fiction series that is about a alien boy with amnesia and a big cat that eats the eats the boy and then transforms into a neko-mecha… oh yeah and there is also a vegetarian maid.

I will try to make this as spoilers-free as possible but in interest of this post I find it sadly inolvidable to talk about the aliens in this anime… By the way, this is your last spoiler warning: 3, 2, 1…

The main conflict in Planet With has to do with the evolutionary stage of telepathy, when a species begins to become psychically sensitive there two main evolutionary paths that can be taken by the collective and individuals of the species: evolving for love or evolving for power. Nebula, a collective of various and diverse alien species and races have evolved via the path of love but have seen what has happened to those who chose the evolutionary path for power which results in a “dragon”, Nebula tends to be a little bit jumpy about dragons because once upon a time there was a very big galactic dragon that did the minor naughty sin of GENOCIDE OF AN ENTIRE PLANET.

When the humans start evolving into telepaths, Nebula cannot help but notice that the humans are following the evolutionary path of power and it is from here where the interaction between Nebula and Humanity begins. Typically at this stage the story will present the aliens as something completely negative, since most story that talk about opposing ideals and ideologies display the conflict in a reductive manner, one sad being common sense and the other simply bad, mad, and silly (An example of this would be Thanos plan to solve all of the universes problem in the film Avengers Infinity War). Surprisingly Planet With presents the aliens and their meddling in human affairs with quite some nuanced:

1.- The political splintering of a alien polis because of a mutual problem:

Nebula is in essence a pacifist civilization, they believe in diplomacy, collectivism and love (You can see this reflected in their bizzare taste), it makes sense that their “arch enemy” is the dragon, which is a being of pure empowerment of the individual but crazed with his own sense of justice fueled by individualism. Despite all of the positive aspects it has to be said that Nebula has been traumatized by the actions of the Dragon and this results in desperate and extreme conclusions when it comes to a possible new dragon (This coming from the new human telepaths). This results in the sealing faction (being led by a big white dog) which concludes that the humans have to have their evolution sealed (this means trapping the entire human species into a eternal dream state where all of their ambitions and fantasies are satisfied, killing their ambition and wish to grow, connect and evolve), but there are those that believe that being this extreme is aggressive and hypocritical of a civilization that claims to have evolved from love, these are the pacifist faction (who are led by a big blue cat).

2.- The position of each faction of Nebula is clear and honest:

What I love about the political conflict is that it is obvious that the two alien factions are annoyed by their political opponents but they do not use pseudo-over the top-unnecessary-philosophy to justify their position or criticize the other one, in fact the sealing faction is able to convince some humans to help them because of past events that gives them some credibility (the same can be said about the pacifist faction).

3.- The problem of a “intervention of a foreign power” is addressed

Of course, the series those conclude that one of the factions is wrong and the other is right and this would be a “black and white” situation but this anime is self aware of the political context of its story. One of the human telepaths (the most powerful of them) has some extreme political ideas about individualism but does make a good criticism about Nebula when he is fighting against the sealing faction: “You are imposing forcefully your values onto us, how is that not a invasion?” This is a fair criticism, since one must ask as a citizen of a nation that decides to get involved in a different countries conflict “Why do we intervene into others problems? Are we justified in doing so? Does our actions reflect what we claim are our good willed intentions?” We can see these questions revealing certain military interventions in our reality being not only problematic but tragic (You may pick any of the United States wars against terror/evil/danger). But in the anime I would personally say that the intervention of Nebula (in the context of the complete story) is not only necessary but is actually beneficial to the human species because, you know: diversity.

One last thing I wish to clarify about the multiple conflicts and interactions between the Nebula factions and the human species is that it is not a battle of opposing ideologies or the nationalistic supremacy of any of the sides, because in the end of the day all of the characters (except for the dragon) want the best for humanity but simply disagree what is actually the best; I will admit, this is a not only a optimistic but a ideal (even utopian) political situacion, it kinda of gives me a weird Star Treky vibe. And I really appreciate that, since this kind of depiction of the political + social relationship between aliens and humans in a anime is actually quite rare. How rare? Well I am glad you ask because I made a list!

I would argue that most relationships between aliens and humans in media is one of power, be it technological, physical, social, spiritual, or the capacity of one market to commodify almost anything. Unless it is a situation where the humans and aliens are sort of equals in terms of power (and even if this is the case…), typically the relationship will result in one group abusing the other; be it a invading them, eating them, exterminating them, changing them or commodifying the population (be this slavery, food stock or tokenism). This tendencies is related to what aliens usually represent in media: the other, the unknown, the powerful, the grand administrator, the madness, the colonist or the colonized. The list that will be presented below is based on this argument of mine (This list is composed mostly of anime that I have watched, so no this list does not contain all anime that depicts hostile aliens):

COOL MC WHO DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE PEOPLE CRYING (x Saeyoung and Yoosung)

-Saeyoung and Yoosung are playing videogames in “the room of happiness”, as Saeyoung, your boyfriend, likes to call it. They have been there for almost five hours, non-stop, and you’re growing quite suspicious about it.

-“What if…? Oh my dear Jesus, please tell me they are gay, please tell-… wait, like, not Saeyoung, I mean… it might be a damn hot scene in my imagination but… like… he’s only mine you know? I would kill Yoosung if he touches him in that way, or may I propose a trio? dunno… Holy fuck, what should I do?”

-“Okay, okay, calm down… Let’s cook something for them and then I’ll enter the room with freshly cooked chocolate chip cookies, that will do to avoid the usual: ONLY BOYS ALLOWED shit.”

-You prepare the cookies and some milk and you nicely put everything on a tray to surprise them. At the end, you’re doing some good, isn’t it? (*internally screaming*)

-You stand in front of the door and, with your sweetest voice, you say: “I’m coming” and rapidly open the door with your elbow like a pro to avoid having to leave the tray on the floor.

-Sadly, everything looks normal: traces of Honey Buddha chips and empty cans of Dr.Pepper scattered on the floor, a disheveled fort of blankets and cushions and Yoosung and Saeyoung lying on the floor playing video games on Saeyoung’s fucking large 4K screen.

-THAT’S certaintly paradise… You wished you could be there with them without feeling like an intruder. Dammit.

-“Yoosung?” Saeyoung goes to where he is and sits next to him, grabbing his shoulders “Hey mate, what’s the matter?” And Yoosung starts sobbing and you… you just stand there awkwardly, doing nothing but sweat and move your hands nervously, just watching your boyfriend do the dirty job “I know she can be scary af sometimes when she gets mad but it’s not that bad, she won’t hit you, I promise” Saeyoung laughs and Yoosung smiles a bit through the tears.

-“Hey! Don’t say that, I’m adorable!!” You say with a pout and they start laughing, at that you feel a little relieved, at least you made him laugh… that’s good, isn’t it? Fuck, you’re awful at dealing with tears, you just stare awkwardly and, if things got serious, you would probably either start talking non-sense shit or, if you’re feeling inspired, you would pat them one shoulder like: there… there~

-“Erm… eh… I… I am… sorry?” You tell Yoosung and he shakes his head to deny.

-“It’s… it’s because of the cookies… Rika used to… you know” He says, smiling and sobbing a little. “Thank you MC” He says and you just smile back and nod your head.

-You hate it when he compares you with Rika, but you let it be, he’s young and you would do anything for him -and the rest of the RFA- you just pray for them not to expect you to deal with them when they’re sad, you suck at that, but you would try anyway, just for them.

-At the end, the three of you end up rolled up like burritos on the blankets, eating cookies and watching some comedy show they love ❤️

And yes, I really loved the way she handled Yoongi too - it truly was a silent battle haha ^^ In future chapters, there will be more backstory on the other Rogues, but it will go MORE in depth with Namjoon I suppose ^^ Those three are truly side-characters in this series, but Namjoon is the more dominant character of the three I think ^^ Thank you so much for reading and I hope you’ll enjoy the next one too!

I think everyone thinks they know a little bit about her (as in, the characters in the story), but ultimately, they are all missing pieces of information.
