I suppose one of the many benefits of having good relations with various heads of state is that when you come dangerously close to a horrible death, they get quite nervous about it, and they shower such gifts on you as if enough of them might make you whole on the spot. Luckily for them, flattery works tremendously well on my ego, and I have very few qualms about accepting this frankly ridiculous level of generosity. (Yes, I know, heroes are meant to be embarrassed by such things, paragons of humility, etcetera. I was nearly gutted stem to stern at the edge of creation. I shall take the good things as they come to me.) I am still mostly useless at the moment, anyway, so why not take Hien up on his hospitality? It's good to see Doma again under less distressing circumstances; Izanami's damage was more spiritual than physical, save for Gosetsu, who finds himself in a similarly frustrating state of needing to recuperate before throwing himself bodily towards the horizon. There is so much to talk about, still, with what happened -- Yotsuyu and Garlemald and the Blasphemy, all -- and he is still so terrible at talking about it. In the meantime, I suppose we'll simply both have to partake of the hot springs at our leisure and eat our weight in pork gyoza until we feel well enough to take to the road again. How dreadful!
