I'm so *tired* of trying to follow bigots down their rabbit holes of nonsense to scream reason at them. Showing them the logical fallacies, the contradictions, the lack of evidence, the misinformation in big block letters. I'm so so so tired of approaching hatred as though it is just ignorance, as though if you can walk them through the logic, they'll deradicalize.

You're hurting people and that's bad.

That's it. That's the whole debate. Attacks on reproductive freedom, attacks on queer folks, profit first health care, 2nd amendment nuts,all if it.

#sims 4 #ts4 #ts4 build #so im kinda back again #this year has been crazy #i move to Paris in september 2022 to study there two semesters #then i came back to spain and move to a new city #well is not really new since its my hometown but i hadn't live there since 2015 and I missed it so much #and between work uni and RL things I didn't have much time to play sims #so here I am again but you know how inconsisten is this blog so dosen't expect regular posts lol #probably i will not have time to play in the future but who cares #now about sims #i've been trying to make some trees DR with new meshes but they refuse to show the correct textures in autumn winter and spring #I suspect it has to be something related to vertex paint or any information attached to the leaves mesh that i'm not getting in s4s #i'll be posting that later to see if someone can give some advice #also had a problem with a building deco for Hendford wich I converted from Cities Skylines #i'm really frustrated with s4s and me lately #well i think its enough for today #come back for more ted talks

Never change ghoul. Speaking of Band I played bass clarinet in school, which was given upon suggestion from my band teacher and quiet frankly he was right. I can imagine Music director!Price being that kind of teacher where he sees someone with talent who's maybe not as passionate as he'd like and recommending them instruments that they might not even know was an option and just the smirk on his face seeing them flourish with the more suitable choices. it would also kind of be adorable in a forbidden way if that's how he met his darling.

Absolutely Price is going to recommend new instruments to people. He wants his students to do well but more importantly he wants them to be happy and passionate about their music. I think he spends as much one-on-one time with people as he can, the sort of guy who always has busy office hours because so many people stop by just to talk to him.

Maybe he doesn't mentor everyone but he does pair up older members of the band with the newer ones, tries to make sure everyone has someone they can go to for advice when needed.

His darling is a grad student, he met them in one of his classes in undergrad and was incredibly responsible staying away, even though he very clearly wanted them. I think they also worked hard at staying away from the very charming band director because it seemed forbidden, and I imagine Price is the sort of professor everyone has a crush on, so it was very... "I don't have a chance with him." But coming back for grad school meant a second chance with Price and he is TAKING IT. You're not getting away this time.

Happy Wet Beast Wednesday and thank you @aroace-genderfluid-sheep, @cutestkilla and @wellbelesbian for the tags.

Speaking of beasts, I am still thinking about my Klaine Back-To-School fic. It's getting... somewhere. The fact that people liked A Sandy Situation, my Madison and More fic, helps, though. Because I was also struggling with the big romantic ending for that one and I felt kinda bad about it, but hey, people like it so maybe I am better than I give myself credit for.

I am also still trying out how to podfic. I claimed another fic for the Caught on Tape Fest that's around 500 words and I recorded it in one go. Then I listened back to it and re-recorded specific parts that I wanted to redo.

This was before I saw the tip in the Podfic thread on Discord about how you can just say a line several times in a recording and then cut out the bloopers in the editing process. That sounds easier, cause I have zero (0) experience editing audio. This is gonna be fun. This thread is a godsend. I now know how to pronounce Swithin!

(Also, while looking for a way to upload these files to my computer, I came across my audio for the Dalton Audiobook. I clicked on one, just for fun, and it started with me saying "Take 4 of Marcus simping over Michelle Wright" and... yeah.) (Me too, Marcus, if I weren't aroace.) (I didn't edit for that project, so that's why I still have no experience.)

Anyway, have different variants of me saying the word "Cute", because I am not sure which one I like the most:

This is about a sphynx cat, by the way, who are indeed cute! Some might disagree but I don't!!

I do really like recording, although I have to, like, teach myself to not cringe at myself when I listen back to it, but I am sure more people feel this. This one is kind of interesting, cause it features two characters that aren't as popular, so I never really had a voice for them in my head. I do have some attempt at a voice for Simon, Baz, Penny, Agga, Shep, Niamh, Niall and Dev, but hey! Anyway, that's where I am at. I need to stop myself from claiming another 500 words fic, though.

Not to talk about MRA-lite spaces again but I'm going to need everyone to understand that in these spaces, the subtext of 'men don't get to talk about their problems' is ALWAYS 'and it is women's fault!'

Or maybe i'm just biased because it triggers me the fucking same no matter who is saying it #also please note i'm saying MRA-lite and not MRA- I understand that MRA usually has connotations of violence for people #MRA-lite is nothing like that it's just a load of talking about men's issues but without any of the context #the very important context that you need to place the issues into wider society and its effect on everyone and not just men #these spaces may not be violent but they are quite pointless and the conversations never ever go anywhere #and it's been the same like 5 conversations for the past 15 years and no doubt much longer but that's as far back as i go with it #every time someone discovers the 5 or so men's issue they act like they just converted to a religion or something #and bring it up in everything. I was like that too at like 21 i promise i get it! but now i look back and CRINGE #and i am a guy now! ok? A lot of people including me😔 are like "Oh x character should get altean alchemy" (it is mostly Lance but sometimes it is Keith and even Shiro) but honestly? I kinda being to partial to- "actually humans should get their own brand of quintessence manipulation like Balmerans, Olkarion, Galra etc etc that got triggered due to the War and it should be tma avatars level of fucked-up-if-true cause i think it would be funny ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"
