DRAW HOWDY AND WALLY ON THEIR FIRST DATE!!! PLS I BEG
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like to think they never really had an “”official date”” per say, like doing romantic gestures just doesn’t come off naturally to them so they’d see going to the beach with some friends as a date- or things that are considered “dates” are more so them just seeing it as them having fun together and enjoying each other’s presence.
also you can’t convince me otherwise that at least half of their shirt wardrobe is hawaiian shirts-

I was having a “mid-life” crisis last night just being frustrated on how I drew Wally- i felt I just couldn’t get him right smhh, so I just had a big ol stressful doodle dump

Wally Manmoth
Once Walbert W. Manheim, human friend of TyrannoMax, Wally sacrificed himself saving the lives of both TyrannoMax and Dr. Underfang. Unwilling to countenance owing a debt to the youth, Dr. Underfang used the geneincarnation process to tether the boy's spirit back to a cloned body, though one very unlike his original.
As a "Manmoth" Wally possesses superhuman strength, endurance and resistance to damage, as well almost complete immunity to cold temperatures and enhanced mammoth-senses.

Wally and DeinoSteve in the 1994 live action film.
Prompt and process under the fold.
Wally's lines were generated in Dall-E 3, with edits, digital inks, colors, and aging effects added in post.
A young man who resembles Seth Green, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, bell bottoms, and tennis shoes, with a feathered 70s haircut, standing in a sarcastic posture. The image is a full body shot on a white background, drawn in the style of a comic panel by Jack Kirby and John Buscema from 1968, as seen in the official handbook of the Marvel Universe.
A wooly mammoth-anthro, wearing a hawaiian shirt and bermuda shorts, standing on a city street, full body, straight to camera, comic panel by jack kirby and alex toth 1968, in the style of 1968 marvel comics

Elvis Presley Events In History Today The 21st November in 1964 Is Sixteenth Movie Was Premiered In Hollywood. Roustabout By Paramount.
Elvis Presley’s sixteenth movie was the 1964 Paramount film 'Roustabout'.
Playing opposite Barbara Stanwyck this time out in Roustabout, Elvis Presley was in awe of his costar and worked hard to live up to her professional standards. Unfortunately, the scriptwriters were less demanding of themselves, and the film suffers from banal dialogue and predictable plotting. Elvis Presley starred as Charlie Rogers, a drifter with a chip on his shoulder who lands a job as a roustabout, or handyman, with a down-and-out carnival operated by strong-willed Maggie Morgan, played by Stanwyck. When Charlie breaks into song on the midway one day, throngs of young people flock to hear him sing. As news of his talent spreads, Maggie's carnival begins to turn a tidy profit. Charlie's good fortune continues as Cathy, a beautiful young carnival worker played by Joan Freeman, takes a romantic interest in him. However, after a misunderstanding involving a customer's missing wallet, Maggie and Cathy chide Charlie for his selfish attitudes. The embittered young man quits Maggie's outfit to work for a rival carnival. When Maggie's carnival starts to go under, Charlie returns with enough money to ward off the creditors. His unselfish act wins Maggie's respect as well as Cathy's heart. Having at one time been a carnival worker, the idea for a picture with a carnival background had been that of Colonel Tom Parker, Elvis Presley’s manager. However, Colonel was adamant that the movie 'not cheapen carnival life....that this was a wholesome way of life in which the participants had a legitimate pride'.
The movie was first announced in May of 1961, but production was delayed until March of 1964. In the time between there were changes. Among them were: that the working title went from 'Right This Way Folks' to 'Roustabout'; that Elvis Presley’s character name changed from Charlie Main to Charlie Rogers; and that the character of carnival owner Maggie Moore changed to Maggie Morgan; and that the actress chosen to play Morgan changed from Mae West to Barbara Stanwyck. The writers were Anthony Lawrence and Allan Weiss.
Anthony Lawrence later worked on the scripts for the Elvis movies 'Paradise Hawaiian Style' and 'Easy Come, Easy Go' and the 1979 TV biopic 'Elvis', starring Kurt Russell in the title role. Among his other credits are a number of TV series including 'The Fugitive', 'Hawaii Five-O', 'Cannon', 'Quincy' and 'The Blue Knight'.
Allan Weiss was the screenwriter for the Elvis Presley’s flims 'Blue Hawaii', 'Girls! Girls! Girls!', 'Fun In Acapulco', 'Paradise Hawaiian Style' and 'Easy Come, Easy Go'. He once remarked that the scripts were written to producer Hal Wallis's specifications: 'Wallis kept the screenplays shallow'.
'I was asked to create a believable framework for twelve songs and lots of girls'. However true this was, both Mr. Lawrence and Mr. Weiss received a nomination from the Writers Guild of America in 1965 for their work on 'Roustabout' as the Best Written American Musical of 1964.
The director was John Rich and this was his first time to work with Elvis Presley He came from a strong background in TV, having directed such series as 'Our Miss Brooks', 'I Married Joan', 'Gunsmoke', 'The Rifleman', 'The Andy Griffith Show', 'The Dick Van Dyke Show' and 'Gilligan's Island'. He was anxious to break into film directing with Hal Wallis. He wasn't impressed with Elvis Presley’s Memphis Mafia entourage and their constant hanging around and playing practical jokes on one another. Elvis Presley told Mr. Rich, '...when these damn movies cease to be fun, I'll stop doing them. And if my guys go, (expletive), so do I'. Elvis Presley and Mr. Rich had gotten off to a shaky start when Elvis Presley cajoled the director into allowing him to do his own stunt fight, which was very uncommon then due to the possibility of the star's being hurt and shutting down production. When Elvis Presley indeed was hurt in the stunt and required several stitches above his eye, Mr. Rich was afraid to tell Hal Wallis that he'd allowed their star to become injured. Then he came up with a plan to write into the script the bandage that covered the stitches and thus production wasn't halted and Wallis was appeased. John Rich later directed Elvis in 'Easy Come, Easy Go'. By that time he was disillusioned with Hal Wallis and his methods and had developed a respect for Elvis Presley And No Big Star Had Ever Put Him Straight Like He Did When He Told If These Damn Movies Cease To Be Fun I’ll Stop Doing Them. He Really Admired And Respected Elvis Presley For Standing Up And Speaking Is Mind Although Parker Wasn’t Happy As He Pulled Elvis Presley Up Rich returned to directing TV series including such programs as 'All In The Family', 'Sanford and Son', 'Maude', 'The Jeffersons', 'Barney Miller', 'Newhart', 'Dear John' and 'Murphy Brown' among others. He has received many accolades including seven Emmy nominations with three Emmy wins.
On February 26, 1964, Elvis Presley reported to Paramount for pre-production. He started with soundtrack recording sessions at Radio Recorders of Hollywood. On March 3, Elvis Presley recorded the version of the title song 'Roustabout' that was written by Otis Blackwell and Winfield Scott. It was not used in the film. Instead they used a different song with the same title written by Bill Giant, Bernie Baum and Florence Kaye.
Elvis Presley recorded his vocals for that second song on April 29, 1964 after the principal photography was shot. An acetate of Elvis Presley’s long-thought-lost Blackwell/Scott song was found in Winfield Scott's basement and RCA first released it as a bonus track on the 2003 Elvis 2nd To None album. To differentiate it from the one used in the movie, the title was changed to 'I'm a Roustabout'.
Elvis Presley became frustrated during these sessions when he wanted The Jordanaires to back him up on a song that he would be seen singing alone in the film while riding a motorcycle down the road.
One of the producers questioned him as to where the backup singers would be in the shot.
Elvis Presley snapped back, 'The same damn place as the band!'
One of the songs in the film, 'It's A Wonderful World', written by Sid Tepper and Roy C. Bennett, was for a time in contention for an Academy Award nomination as Best Song.
For authenticity in Elvis Presley’s sixteenth film, 'Roustabout', a real carnival was employed and set up on land near Thousand Oaks, California. This was one of the locations used for exterior shots in the movie. The interior shots used three connecting sound stages (Nos. 12, 14 and 15) on the Paramount lot. The doors between them were opened up to make them into one huge stage, which was needed to accommodate the set for the big tent scenes. This was the first time in the history of the studio that they had done this.

Finfolk ReaderXWally
So... Obsessing over @aerkame's Finfolk AU... And I kept thinking about their Wally and how his self esteem got hit from the aftermath of a fight. So... Here we are! ENJOY:
Wally always viewed his back as one huge flaw… A blemish on his perfection as a Finman. You, however, saw the beauty in those jagged marks crawling over the expanse of rippling muscles. You kissed at those scars every chance you got, praising the owner of their handsomeness, that it was a show of strength, and how it made your heart flutter to witness them in their full glory.
Sometimes, it worked. As flustered as you were in worshipping Wally’s back, the Finman was undoubtedly worse. His finned ears would flap, hands covering an apple red face that mimicked his hair. Like he was unsure of how to take the compliments over something he viewed as hideous for so long, but always enjoying it deep down. It was endearing to observe, causing you to pepper your love in sweet little kisses onto whatever skin you could reach just to hear his small noises and feel him squirm in your arms.
But then, there were the times he’d brush off your words. So deep in a funk that he’d scoff and turn his head away. This one seemed to be one of the worst of those times… “My precious Moonrise,” you cooed, using the nickname you came up with when his scales reminded you of a Hawaiian Moonrise Shell in colors. “Talk to me, Love. Please?”
“How can you possibly love my back? Yes, it shows I’m strong to survive and win… But it’s still-“Wally’s breath hitched, huddled closer to his self-embrace as his face seemed to become blank in an effort to withdraw into himself more.
“You silly Rainbowfish!” You huffed out. “There’s still perfection with imperfections… In fact, Kintsugi is an art practice all about admiring the brokenness of an item! In fact, why don’t we try doing it together?” At seeing the lack of interest, you knew you had to pull out that tidbit of info. So, with a thoughtful hum you added, “I think you can also use silver powder instead of gold… and if you do it the traditional way, it takes, like, forever… but the process is food safe…”
That did it. Wally looked over with narrowed eyes and scrunched face where a nose was usually placed on a puppet. You grinned coyly; head tilted to rest upon you knuckles casually as the elbow settled on your crossed legs. “We could fix that teapot I accidentally broke… Good as new with a silver lining. I’m sure it’ll look fabulous given the number of pieces it’s in.”
It later became Wally’s favorite teapot, silver lines swarming the fine China cutting through Sea Glass blue filigree patterns and shining against a pure white background subtly. He did still have his moments of self-loathing, but he focused himself on the art of Kintsugi during those times as if reminding himself that he was still perfect because of his missing fin, not even with…
And you were happy for him. Even though you were having a harder time figuring where to put all his silver-fixed pottery pieces…

THIS THOUGHT WON'T LET ME GO!
I know it's very similar to the beach town au but I'm more inspired by the time from Moana and the music and food from Lilo and Stitch
just imagine all the characters in traditional Hawaiian clothes and having fun on a small island or even the Home decorated with various flowers and Julie and Sally teaching Wally how to dance while Poppy and Howdy cook beautiful food, Barnaby making a wooden mask and Eddie and Frank lounging on the beach
oh it's so beautiful and tender

(this is OLD, just ignore it bbg)
so i figure if everyone else is making a welcome home au I might as well
This au is called the Porcelain Doll Au or PD
I absolutely suck at drawing so I’m going to describe it and you can use your imagination to do the illustrations
In this AU, all of the puppets are now porcelain dolls being possessed by the spirit of the unfortunate children that decided to come across home
Also, the dolls can move but their bodies are very stiff and heavy, so it’s extremely tiring to move
Home is still possessed in this au and is basically a ghost house (a land ghost ship) that lures people, mostly children, inside to get killed. I would like to mention that all of the furniture inside is alive and it basically looks like a torture dungeon, there’s so many sharp objects and ways to kill someone in there it’s wild. Anyways, home basically lured them inside, shuts the door and locks it so they don’t come out, and they have 60 seconds to pick how they want to die or home picks for them, and you can tell who has picked their death and who hasn’t. Anywho, now onto the victims
Wally was the first victim, ofc he was Mexican and had a very colorful outfit on, and dark black hair that everyone said looked blue, he died by getting his eyes pierced (that’s why he stares, sometimes his eyes on the doll leak), he also died in the living room, the room that you see as soon as you walk in. He was 5 years old when he died. Wally stumbled across house after wandering off with his friends, eventually loosing them and coming across home trying to find them again. Wally was the first one to find out they they could move, because of how badly he wanted to draw. He usually scoots over to corners that haven’t been dusted (which is every corner) and makes lines with the dust on the floor/wall.
Julie was the second victim and also Wally’s friend, she had long blonde hair and a white dress on, she encountered home when was picking flowers and so she died holding flowers, and she died by being stabbed in her heart so her dress is a bright red and there’s a crack In her chest (her doll has a flower in her hair) She chose her death, trying to do the least painful thing possible. She was 6 1/2 when she died. Sometimes, in the middle of the night she remembers that she never got to give the flowers to her mother, and begins to cry. Water drips down from the painted glass eyes and the soft sound of weeping echoes through the halls. Home uses her weeping to an advantage however, he mimics the sound and lures people in with the weeping. She died in the upstairs bedroom. Also an unimportant detail but she has very mesmerizing blue eyes.
Sally was the third victim, she is a Hawaiian with short blonde hair, wearing an overall skirt and a white t-shirt, she died by having her head set on fire, so she has the sun for a head and her Temperature is always warm. She died in the bathroom In the tub, trying to put out the fire, but she had one dilemma, home didn’t have any plumbing. Although she is a doll now, she likes to sing songs from various musicals in the middle of the night. Because of that, Sally has a voice draw string that she can only talk out of when it’s pulled. I forgot to add this, but she was 7 when she died.
Barnaby was the fourth victim, he’s a Mexican (quite like wally) and wore a blue polkadot t-shirt and the same pattern pantsc he was a little chubby and was walking his dog when he found home, his dog began barking and ran towards home, to which he followed. He found his dog strangled in the downstairs bathroom before he died. he died by getting his head cut off, and so his head is always loose and sometimes falls off. He died in the downstairs bedroom. He chose his fate and figured that decapitation would be the quickest and least painful. He still likes to tell jokes, and sometimes thinks of a really funny joke and begins to burst out laughing in the middle of the night. He was 7 when he died.
Poppy was the fifth victim, she is Caucasian and lived on a farm, she ran into the woods to avenge her chickens that were eaten by a fox, she wore a rainbow dress and had rainbow highlights in her hair, she died by getting skinned, and so the paint slowly chips away on her doll. She died on the balcony, so closed to freedom but just a little to late. She was 8 1/2 when she died. She usually comforts the other kids when they feel homesick of they’re just starting to get used to their new bodies. She is the most responsible next to Frank and is like a mother to all of the other children. She sometimes dusts the walls and floors, making sure to keep at least one corner for Wally!
Howdy was the Sixth victim, he helped his father work at his job and was taking a hike in the woods on his break, he had black hair and had a love for caterpillars. He died by getting his ribs torn out, making it look like he had multiple arms, and so his other set of arms are a little off than the other. He was 8 when he died, and he died in the kitchen trying to grab a knife to protect himself. He is mature and organizes the torture devices when he’s bored. His arms sometimes fall off, and have to be put back on by home, when home feels like it of course. Other times he is found talking about how much he misses his dad and the shop he helped out at. He tried to refrain from talking about his dad, to try and not get homesick. He once tried to break everyone’s dolls to set their souls free, but failed and was punished by having his arms off for a week. After that, he didn’t try and free himself again. Sometimes however he tries to climb on top of tall objects, but always gets put down by home.
Frank was the Seventh victim, always a grumpy and never did anything fun, he wore a black suit and had full black hair, he was always bullied and was dared to go inside of home, despite all of his instincts he went inside. He died by getting his hands cut off and surgically replaced by bleeding out, and so the hands on his doll are more detailed and slightly discolored, they are also always loose and slightly damp. He is the oldest, he was 9 when he died. One time Frank tried to burn down the home, to release him and his friends from this hell (their spirits can only be freed if the dolls are destroyed) but when he lit the house aflame, and closed his eyes to embrace death, he realized the humidity from the flame awww was gone, he opened his eyes to find the fire gone, And although everyone else excepted their fate, Frank still tries to break his and Eddie’s doll to free their souls he always fails and whenever he does home punished him by locking him in the room he died in for a day. Frank and Eddie were best friends, and eventually more, that didn’t last long however, for Frank died on the same day him and Eddie had their first kiss. Frank tried to be clever and tell home that he wanted to die of old age, but instead Home chose for him. Frank also died in the library upstairs, I’d like to mention how Frank and home are enemies, if home could he would banish Frank to relive his death everyday, alas that isn’t possible. A little thing I’d like to add is that Franks doll is coated with pollen and nectar during the spring and so all throughout spring/summer butterflies doesn’t completely cover him but a whole lot of butterflies like to land on him daily
Eddie was the eighth and final victim, he was a mamas boy and always listened to his parents, but after his family dog ran away his mother was devistated, trying to cheer up his mourning mother he ventured off into the woods. He was Caucasian and had bright red hair with freckles and a gap between his teeth, he died by getting his legs cut off and died of shock. His legs are always falling off and severely cracked. He was 8 1/2 when he died and died an exact week after Frank did. He did try and chose his death, but home couldn’t understand him through his stuttering and sobbing and so home chose for him. He died in the hallway trying to crawl to freedom despite the unbearable pain he felt. Eddie didn’t want to be a mail man, but he did help out in the post office to gain money to give to his mother.
However, after Eddie died the deaths seemed to come to a sudden stop, at the same time tho, Wally seemed to start acting a little different..bad different.
That’s all folks, if u got any questions feel free to ask, I’m happy to answer them ^^

"Saving Hawai`iʻs Limu - A Visit With Wally Ito"
Weʻve all heard about the “good old days” when Hawai`iʻs reefs and shorelines were full of fish. To find out why fish have disappeared, we spent the day with Wally Ito who quickly showed us one very big reason - no more limu. Join us in our fascinating shoreline visit with Wally as he shows us how regrowing Hawai`iʻs limu is one big and important answer to keep Hawai`iʻs fragile food chain alive - Watch It Here
