So Hybe won't put out physical albums, but of course their focus is on merchandise. I'm not surprised at all, given the company's direction, but is it that hard to focus on music and everything else in direct connection to that? Like an actual album? For music fans, that is much more valuable and would make more sense for the artist to have. Merchandise should be secondary, not the main focus of an album release. Given that even before Hobi's album release, the merchandise they created and released a few months prior proved to be a success, of course Hybe is doing this. The company knows that fans will buy everything, as long as it has the BTS name on it, or the name of the individual members. From a business point, it's smart. That is, if they only care about making money. But physical albums still sell. Is merchandise bringing that much more so it makes a significant differerence? The music should always be the number one priority.
