I apologize to everyone who has followed me for my '75 fan fiction and is instead being subject to my VERY CORRECT FOOTBALL TAKES, just know the Chiefs are not as good as they think they are, their TE is a bag of dicks who also isn't even as good on paper as people try and say he is, and their QB is a whiny little fuckboy that has only made it this far do to some VERY generous reffing. Rookie!Vanessa X Guitarist!Reader. Noise complaint

Note: this is kinda experimental, also I don’t play the guitar so I did my best please don’t kill Me 😭😭

The strings of the guitar hummed as you tried to tune it. It was new, just bought yesterday, and it was getting to be a pain in your ass already.

“ Y/N come on, we can’t play our shit without you “

“ I’m trying Mathew, it’s not getting in the right key. Just start without me, I’ll get this fixed soon “

Mathew, the ‘ leader ‘ of your little ragtag band, groaned, clearing his throat as he signaled to start one of the songs. And as soon as he did, the drums started, followed by the acoustic, and the keyboard. You were stuck with your stupid new yellow bass guitar.

They had finished by the time you finally got I in the right tune, and it practically roar with sound.

“ hell yeah, alright guys, let’s run- “

Mathew started, before the whine of a police siren stopped him. You all let out a groan, looking down the driveway. It was the same older officer that would always show up at your practices, but this time he was followed by another, A taller blonde, a girl at that.

“ Mathew, You know why I’m here. “

“ Derek come on man. Tell Janett to get over it, we’ve gotta practice and Y/Ns the only one of us who has a garage. “

Derek, the officer, let out a heavy sigh, his hand on his waist as he went onto explain why he just can’t do that, and why we couldn’t be doing it after dark. Your eyes only focused on the new girl, whom was focusing intently on Derek and how he was handling the situation. You played a small note to catch her attention, it worked, and her blue eyes looked up at you. You chuckled, setting your guitar in the stand and trotting up to her.

“ hey,I’m Y/N. I’ve never seen you around here officer. “

“ I-it’s my first day patrolling with Officer Derek, I’m Vanessa. “

You smirked, cocking your hip out and adjusting your bracelets.

“ well officer, if you ever need to practice putting someone in cuffs, you just give me a call~ “

You teased, putting your wrists out in front of her. She blushed, glancing away and letting out an awkward laugh. Derek gave you a glance from the side of his thick glasses.

“ don’t flirt with my Rookie Y/N. Yall have till 7:30 to be packed and gone. Have a good night yall. “

Derek muttered, and headed back to the patrol car. You quickly dug in your pocket, pulling out one of your crumpled flyers.

“ Hey, Officer Vanessa. Here. “

You caught up to her, handing her the flyer. It was just a black paper with your bands logo and some information.

“ me and the guys are gonna be playing at a club later this week, if your off you should stop by.. sure you’d like it. “

“ thank you. I’ll keep it in mind “

Vanessa nodded, and got into the squad car, you watched her drive off and chuckled, walking back up to the band.

“ you tryna sleep with a cop now Y/N? “

“ shut it Mathew. I’m just being nice. Now, one more song for Janett? “

You combed through your hair, throwing it up into a tight ponytail. You had your guitar on standby, this was the biggest show you all had yet, you wore a cropped band shirt, your band specifically, a short black studded jacket, and a pair of tight ripped jeans.

“ we ready? “

Mathew asked, he was dressed much more punkly than any of you, but he was much more into than you all. You all gave a curt nod, and stood in your positions.

The curtain opened, and you were greeted by a roaring crowd. You nervously gripped your guitar, glancing through the crowd to see if Vanessa had shown up. Mathew started announcing the first song, and you quickly got yourself ready, before the bright blue eyes of Vanessa caught yours. She smiled softly, and you did aswell. You felt your whole body calm down, and the music practically played itself.

“ that was amazing, very proud of you all. Y/N, that bass is a beast, definitely worth it. Alright, meet up at the garage Sunday. Till then, my fallen angels “

“ call us that again and we’ll make sure your a risen angel idiot. “

You call at Mathew as he leaves, and you finish packing up your guitar, heading off the stage.

“ hey, Y/N. That was a wonderful show, I’m happy I came “

Vanessa stopped you, smiling again. You couldn’t help but chuckle, smiling back at her.

“ thank you, I’m surprised you made it. “

“ i was free, wanted something to do. “

You both walked towards the door, chatting about the atmosphere and how much of a dive this bar was.

“ I best get walking. Thank you again, I’m sure I’ll see more of you. “

“ your walking home? That’s a while away, let me drive you home, please, I insist.

“ I can’t make you do that. “

Vanessa took your hand, smiling even more softly and even more gentle than before.

“ please. You’re not making me, I want to. “

You flush, and nodded, letting her walk you out to her car. You sat passenger side, with your guitar case between your legs. She drove off, you admired the way she steered the wheel, you thought it was odd, but just the way her hands controlled the care made you feel something. The way she’d hook her fingers around it, or drive with one had ontop of the wheel, it made you feel fuzzy.

“ You got a girl at home waiting for ya? “

“ n-no. Just myself in that little old house. But it’s nice, I’m thinking of getting a cat. “

“ well..if you ever need someone to keep ya company. “

Vanessa handed you over one of her business cards. You chuckled again, putting it in your pocket.

You two eventually arrived at your house, you stepped out and nodded, walking up to your front door. You looked back at her for a moment, before walking back down.

“ you wanna..j-join me for dinner? I’ve got chicken in the crock pot…”

“ aww..I’d love to but I’ve got work to be done at my place. Give me a text later on though..I’ll make it up to ya~ “

You nodded, feeling a bit disappointed but understood. You said your thank you’s once again, and heading inside, gently closing the door.

After a few hours, you did decide to text her. She was a very open texter, not dry like your band mates were. Your stomached fluttered, finally working up the courage to ask what she meant earlier.

“ Hey, I don’t wanna be a pain. But, what did you mean earlier? When you said you’d made up for not joining me for dinner? “

“ Oh, I almost forgot! Give me one minute darling~ “

It was the first time she called you any sorta name beside your real name. Your heart raced as you waited for her response, your heart was so fast, in fact, that it practically stopped when she had sent you a few nudes. The way her skin looked so smooth, the way her tits were a perfect size. The last thing she texted you for the night was “ Enjoy <3 “.

And you couldn’t help but remember her driving the car, how she controlled that wheel as you slowly made your hand down your pants.

Some stuff i noticed in the fionna and cake finale + betty theroy

# 1 Prismo's face glitch

This one is pretty self explanatory. for a frame prismos face glitches for no reason. I cant think of something we have seen that would explain this.

#2 After credits apple

After the credits there is a short animation of two shapes morphing into an apple. I thought this was a logo or something unrelated at first so I reversed image searched the apple but I couldn't find anything. So if its not related to a company it should be related to the show right? The shapes and bow for sure remind me of golbetty and apples have appeared multiple times (mostly use to shrink in size) This probably is important.

#3 Season One

The image on the left is a promotional poster for the show. On the bottom it gives the date episodes will start airing. Notice the lack of "Season One" near the top. The image on the right Is for the show's soundtrack which was released yesterday. All im gonna say is if I were producing a 10 episode miniseries I wouldn't want to specifically label it as season one if there was only one season.. And I definitely wouldn't only put that on promotional materials AFTER the season was done airing. I bet $72 there will be a season 2.

Adventure time season 6 episode 43. The Comet. yea im bringing this up.

I saw a post saying this means "comet". It has the same number of characters as the bus sign but I no idea where they found how to read this. I think it makes sense though and I'll tell you why

As Simon is flying away from golbetty he sees her do this .. Notice the color of the light (electricity?? fire?) I also think she changes shape a bit. the image on the left is her when she first electricitys herself and the image one the right is a few seconds later. I'm not gonna draw any conclusions on why this is right now.

Now back to Adventure Time ;]

In The Comet finn witnesses several of his reincarnations. The two shown are a comet and a butterfly.

Now IF the bus is saying golbettys destination is "comet" this HEAVILY implies reincarnation as comets are directly tied to this in adventure time. Also notice how the electricity golbetty is using is THE EXACT SAME FUCKING COLOR AS THE COMET. And what does simon wake up to after seeing golbetty do that.

A FUCKING BUTTERFLY I AM GOING TO LOSE IT. she is kissing him

I think what happened is by Simon and Betty both moving on from their toxic yuri relationship Betty's wish to keep simon safe was realized. Because tbh the thing that was mostly likely to hurt Simon was his own indifference to life and tendency to self sacrifice. I mean, he was completely ready to say goodbye to his sanity multiple times JUST that episode.

This allowed Betty to separate from golb because she no longer needed its power. She gave simon and kiss, and then fucked off to do butterfly shit.

Even if im wrong this show was so beautiful TvT I really needed it. I totally understand if yall are disappointed because simon and betty didn't get a happy ending together but. They really needed to move on. And who knows.. maybe we'll get a season two ;) bye

Oh and the scarab fight scene was way too long and bringing jay and little destiny back was weird and forced.

First bit of graphic design I've done in a year and its a fake logo for a hyperspecific AU... don't know how I didn't see that coming honestly.

Ok lets talk about why I went with 'Ghost Fighters' outside of the obvious name pun.

The main enemies the boys face would be ghosts. They are composed entirely of the suffering of people who have passed. The few memories that they have are of their worst experiences, but for the most part they just kind of exist as memories of suffering. Generally these spirits move on after a day or two, but if there is a specific strong attachment to a place or person or trauma sometimes they stick around longer. Someone who was murdered would probably not stick around as long as someone who died of old age.

The general appearance is of an emaciated figure with very few features. They usually have 'ribbons' that extend out of the backs of their heads, the ends of these are sharp and used for fighting. The elongated arms and sharpened two fingered hands with a thumb are also used for slashing.

Ghosts seek out similar suffering in their area. They cant move more than 1/2 mile away from where they died, which gives them a bit of room to roam, but if you live in a place where theres a high concentration of murder they have a higher chance of running into each other.

If they DO. It gets BAD and it gets bad FAST. Ghosts can merge together and so your'e dealing with double the ribbons and double the claws. Their roaming spaces merge which mean that they can find more ghosts to merge with. There isn't really a limit on how many ghosts can merge together. When things like natural disasters happen, you can get large ghost conglomerates and FAST.

It is very rare but sometimes the ghosts will haunt people. People who stay in one space the majority of the time are stuck in the same haunting area as a ghost. All they have to do is temporary move away until either a Ghost Fighter destroys the ghost or it dissipates on its own. If they do end up being possessed you essentially have a ghost in free roam. There really isn't bringing someone back from that.

Generally people cant see ghosts. Ghost Fighters can, of course, but there are also very rare 'psychics' who can see ghosts. Most people cant see them until they start to conglomerate in numbers of 20 or 30. By then it is a VERY large ghost mass and needs to be dealt with. The effects of the ghost can be seen (claw marks in cement, dents where they've been thrown into walls) but generally they go un-noticed by the population.

ALRIGHT. RANDOM FUN DOODLES ASIDE lets talk Ghost Fighter physiology. (it is so so important to me that Roxanne has No Chill whatsoever. SO. IMPORTANT.)

All Ghost Fighters have 'nail polish' with their corresponding color. It used to help them identify each other, but after the rise of nail polish its uhhhhh. not very effective. It's really not nail polish though, thats just the color of the nail now :)

Connection Gems rest on the chest and are embedded into flesh. They allow a Familiar to channel magic through their person! Familiars are a lot like the 'paper flamethrower' metaphor. Lots of power, but unable to use it without destroying themselves. Ghost Fighters allow them a way to express their magic.

EYES. You already know what the fuck it is bro. I don't need to explain myself here yall know me by now but fuck it imma try and find a way to reason it out anyway. Humans aren't really built to contain so much magic, so it shows through in little ways, like shining out of their eyes just a lil bit.

Speaking of which, Ghost Fighters are a little uh. Weird. You know the whole thing with elves? Where they look almost too pretty and the longer you look the stranger it gets? They have that going on. Their hair is always settled just right, their skin is dewy and almost shiny, the light always hits their eyes JUST right. Even bedheads still manage to looks planned and perfect.

SO. When you get a guy like Robbie? Whose attractive to start with but scowls all the time? When he finally DOES smile? Holy Shit. Nobody is prepared for it. Nuclear levels of pretty. Almost hurts to look at. 100 Billion enraptured 30,000 gay / bi awakening.

More stuff about familiars (Eli in particular. Need to think harder about his specific weirdness), transformation sequences, ultimate attacks, and interpersonal relationships on the way. I just. NEEDED. To get what I have so far out there dude. Brain too full. Door stuck. DOOR STUC K.

so some of yall have been asking me what art program I use, and if I have different styles!

yes! I do have diff styles! I use the one you all see on my page the most. It’s easy to draw and I like it the most, I sometimes use a Joy Ang related style, which you guys may have seen in my cobra lily and chameleon drawing. I have a more cartoonish type one, and a simple style for silly sketches :)

The art program I use is sketchbook, I have procreate which I use sometimes, but not often.

The reason for that is as a child, i only used sketchbook, and didn’t have any practice with procreate, so I’m just more accustomed to sketchbook.

I also have adobe but I use them for non wof related stuff, like logos and designs that I sell.

- SKULL IS HERE SKULL IS HERE SKULL IS HERE honestly, after "the Golden Blade" character that really threw me off it's good to see this iconic bastard appear on screen. low key sad it's not pulling any faces (yet)

- “Hunt or be Haunted”. this one really took me by surprise. the change of tagline suggests that our smallest agency in London and their business is no longer the only focus of the story. it gives more of a feel of survival story rather then underdogs type of story tho. we'll see where it goes

- the logo is growing on me, it still looks too polished to me, compared to any of book logos which were, well, logos, and here it's just font. but it goes nicely with brutalism aesthetic, sPEAKING OF WHICH-

- yall see this? they are actually going with brutalism for their world?? not a sugar-coated London with beautiful scenery of old european city?? thank you l&co crew i love you for doing your hw.

- last but not least: composition. i think it ties nicely back to tagline change since, yes, it would be nice to see idk Portland Row being shown. but no, characters are in the middle of empty street, looking at something that we can't see. they are agents after all - seeing things outside regular person's comprehension is their thing. they are distressed but got their rapiers at ready. sky is getting dark, ghost lamp (my beloved) is on, quiet city is cowardly seen underneath. f i t t i e s i s b e h i n d e v e r y t h i n g

NOW ON TO THE CHARACTERS

they are all so awkward looking, my divvies

- SKULL my man got a nice looking prison, i like the handle, it's handy. now i see why Lucy will struggle while breaking this jar with poop statue. now waiting for his cast announcement :/

- Lucy got the biggest wardrobe update, kinda digging it. definitely more practical, but it's sad to see heavy boots go. but now everyone is much quicker on their feet, especially after seeing how fast these ghosts are. ARE THOSE FLARES ON HER BELT

- not to be that person, but Cameron was born for this role. really aching to seeing more of his acting and his way of bringing Lockwood on the big screen. also thank lord he's wearing trainers. he already has a safety hazard coat, if there was one more formal piece of clothing he’d died on spot- wait he still has a tie- credit goes to @lucyjcarlyle for pointing out Lockwood's ring, can't wait to find out it is a family relic and die inside

- George by Ali actually feels like George, right? baggy clothes, bag that weights him, something about his posture - all those things add to recognition of character despite differentiating from books’ description. it’s sad we didn’t get to see him in teaser

- and they all look relatively young! like this thumbnail really captures it

also, im not the only one who sees the iconic @doodlingraka's colour palette everywhere, right? because i dig it and i want more

in conclusion: it doesn’t look perfect, lets be honest here, but Cornish’s interview puts it all together in a perspective. this show is a love letter to horror movies of last century. they were clumsy, too, but they knew how to scare its viewer in a smart way. and that’s what books did, now it’s time to pay a tribute. at least i want to believe so

it's adorable that Alan gets to play with his stickmen kids it's wholesome

Also, I feel so sorry for Chosen cause he came to Alan"s PC to get the most powerful stick he knows cause he is being chased rn and second doesn't even remember his epic powers.

Aww poor Alan, has to watch his kid burn smth and leave with his other adoptive kids.

I talked to my sister about how the 2nd possibility works by watching AVM 30 until I stumble into THIS

So this might be possible that Victim could have been spying on Alan's PC and saw Chosen's battle with one of TDL's viruses

THO I COULD BE WRONG AND THAT REALLY IS JUST SOME RANDOM GREY HOLLOW-HEAD STICKMAN THAT WE DON'T KNOW. BRO SOMEONE CLARIFY MY WRONGS HERE I DON'T MIND IF I'M WRONG!!!11!1

The heat of the holy day wasn't the only thing sending him into a swelter. It was you.

Your families had liked each other, doing work for one on the land if needed, and the other returning the favor. They were friendly. You’d known Rhett from school.

There you stood before him in the pew, back facing him. You wore a white sundress, your hair was down, a light pink bow pasted in, holding up your half-up hair-do. Cowboy boots adorned your feet, he smiled at that. Dash of personality in the mess of the sunday-stiffness. Your parents spoke with his, and you turned around to face him, red-polished fingernails curling around the bench as you leaned in, cross necklace falling perfectly between your breasts.

“Hi, Rhett.” Plush lips pushing into a smile.

His lips curled into a slight smile, and he avoided eye contact.

“How’s your sunday treating you, you like you’re just…burning up in your sunday best, Rhett.” Your head titled, sinister frown replacing your bright smile as he leaned closer to you over the pew.

“We both might as well have burst into flames when we walked in.” He whispered into your ear, and you shivered.

Fact is, you have seen Rhett. Last night, and the night before that, and so on. You’d reunited with Rhett at the bar after a few years of his absence two months ago. He’d asked you to dance drunkenly, you agreed, drunkenly. All that a few shared cigarettes outside and you’d find yourself rolling around with both your pants down at your ankles in the back of his truck in your driveway when he’d driven you home that night.

Covered by the moonlight shadows of the magnolias.

Each night since then had been hushed, texts reading ‘meet me here’ ‘meet me there’. After last night Rhett is particularly flustered on God’s day because innocence is radiating off the body in that white dress that he had done sinful things to the night prior.

He first had you on the driver's side of the car.

“-com’on baby, god…shit, baby you feel ngh-so damn good” Rhett huffed with his hand cemented to the ceiling of his truck as you bounced on top of him, your sweet moans echoing off the steamed windows.

“Rhett, baby…so deep. Makin’ me sweat like a sinner in church, jesus.” You panted, hands gripping his hair and shoulders as your bodies suctioned together in the humid air of the truck.

Then he took you on the hood

Your palms were firmly planted on the hood of the car, a ford logo was being pressed into your breasts, as Rhett slammed into you.

“-Shi’ baby, hold on.” His chest heaved with every word. “God damn, girl” he let out a chuckle as you started to match his thrusts by pushing your hips back at the same time

“Com’ on Rhett, git in there deep, baby how I like it.” You bit your lip into a smile as he gripped your waist and continued his attack.

“Rhett!” Your mother turned to speak to him, “So lovely seein’ you. How are you?”

“I am just great, Mrs.L/N, thank you for askin’ ma’am. Been a long time since we seen y’all.” He choked on his words a bit, as he was pulled from his lustrous thoughts of last night.

“Y’know, you two knew each other right? Why dont yall get together sometime, hang out? Y/N just been loungin’ like a cat and smokin’ like a chimney since she been home this summer…” Your mother droned

“Momma!” You yelped, pulling her sleeve “Have not…” You pouted, and Rhett let out a chuckle.

“Y’know maybe we will just plan somethin’, we do have some catching up to do.”

The service was over, and everyone was finishing their ‘peace be with you’s’ and you turned to Rhett, hand reaching to his. You looked up at him with long lashes, smiling. You grabbed his hands,

“Peace be with you” You finished, and felt a paper slide into your hands from his. He winked,

“And peace be with you.”

The Game Awards, but just the announcements I care about:

Pony Island 2: Panda Circus - I have very vague memories of watching a playthrough of the first game, and the sequel looks absolutely bonkers in the best of ways. Also SUNGWON!

Usual June - Not much to say except it looks cool and I hope it turns out good.

Windblown - Never played Dead Cells despite everyone saying it's great, but man they really did just brutally murder those little animal dudes. Awesome.

God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla - Free update!? Based. Also that was absolutely a cyclops, I'm curious if they tie back in some Greek mythology stuff.

Big Walk - I have no idea what this game is but it better win Game of the Year 2025.

No Rest for the Wicked - Not quite sure what the game itself it, except that it's gorgeous.

5 New Sega Games - JET SET RADIOOOOO- ahm, I mean, this might just be the highlight of the entire show for me, despite how little was shown. Sega has so many cool old games that haven't seen the light of day in so long (though Streets of Rage had a game somewhat recently I think?). Anyway I'm going to break this up into individual sections despite each one having about 5 seconds of footage, lol

Jet Set Radio - Obviously this game was in production well before the release of Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, but I guarantee people are going to be way more hype for this thanks to Team Reptile. Seeing DJ Professor K in this new style sent me to a higher plane. Can't wait for more on this one.

Streets of Rage - I'm not really a beat 'em up enjoyer, but it's interesting that this game is going 3D.

Shinobi - This game looks very pretty. High hopes for this one. Hope it takes notes from all the big indie platformers of the last decade.

Golden Axe - This one looks veeeery interesting. I'm only vaguely familiar with OG Golden Axe, but the art style and the game being 3D have certainly caught my eye.

Crazy Taxi - HEY HEY HEY IT'S TIME TO MAKE SOME CRRRAZY MONEY ARE YOU READY? HERE WE GO! Very curious how they adapt this one into a modern title. YAH YAH YAH YAH YAH

OD - I'm not interested in playing this (I mean we don't even know what the game is besides horror... with really detailed faces), but it's a Kojima game so I'll nonetheless watch it from a distance. Hideo Kojima and Jordan Peele is a wild combo.

Black Myth: Wukong - Holy shit it has a release date. This game has looked insane since it's reveal, hope it lives up to the years of hype.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau - Everyone's fixating on the Critical Role logo lol. This one's got style and I hope it does well, but I'm not really a metroidvania guy so I'll probably pass.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth - Cid real!

Blade - There are very few potential Marvel projects I'd be interested in this point... luckily Blade is still cool XD

Not a game, but after that Old Gods of Asgard performance... do I need to check out Alan Wake 2??? XD

Guilty Gear Strive updates - The original gun-wielding menace has returned. Dig the new outfit. I know at least one person who will be thrilled at Elphelt's return. Curious as to how this 3v3 mode will play.

Was not expecting Elden Ring DLC news - they literally said that it was still a ways off, so idk why so many people were expecting a trailer. Happy for Monster Hunter fans, even if I'll never get the appeal of those games. So many shooters with forgettable titles and/or minimal gameplay shown. And apparently Fortnite is a games platform now? Weird.

Congrats to Baldur's Gate 3 for winning the things. See yall next year when Foamstars sweeps the Game Awards.

Amazing Digital Circus Foreshadowing...

Listen. LISTEN! The Amazing Digital Circus is a great pilot and yall should go watch it it's great and BECAUSE OF THAT I just wanna make this one little post and then it's back to WOY and ROTTMNT. Cool? Cool.

So if you've seen TADC (SPOILERS BTW) then you know what happens to Kaufmo. There is just... SO MUCH FORESHADOWING to him getting Abstructed, and I wanted to list out all the little details and hints I found up until we first see his Abstructed form.

(Google is saying Abstructed isn't a word but I beg to differ)

In the little theme song sequence, when Kaufmo's meant to appear it just shows a cardboard cut out of him with the captions that say: "Kaufmo the clown did not show up today."

This is KIND OF A STRETCH, but when Pomni first arrives and starts maneuvering past all the floating objects, an eyeball comes very close to hitting her. Oh, and also the potted plant no-clipping.

"Kinger here has supposedly been here the longest. That's why he's crazy~!" (Jax's smile falls when he says Kinger's gone crazy)

Every time Pomni mentions the exit. I'm not listing them all lol

"Oh, wait! We should go check on Kaufmo! I'm pretty sure he'd like to meet Pomni. ... You wanna come with us to check on Kaufmo?" "No, not really. I think Kaufmo's gone insane."

Literally just the entire hallway scene. Was gonna go from quote to quote but realized it'd be too long.

In the background when the three are walking, we can see 3 types of logos on certain doors. We have the regular ones with the faces of the characters we've already seen, then there are logos with faces that have been crossed out. And then there's also just the empty rooms with manikins for logos. The crossed out faces are the most important ones though.

"... And when you reach your breaking point, something really terrible can happen-! Ah... But that's not something we need to deal with today...!"

"What? It could be a completely unrelated question! You'll never know until it's too late!"

Police Captain!Vanessa X Rookie!Reader. Newbie.

“ Alright settle down! Bunch of animals yall are. Ok. Steven, Mason ,Liam , you all are on patrol duty in the west, Johanna, Marcus, Harry, patrol duty to the east. Rest of yall are on you assigned duty’s seen in your schedules. Before I dismiss, we have a new rookie amongst us. Y/N L/N. Y/N will be patrolling with…Johanna, a little girl on girl time. Dismissed. “

Captain Shelly’s voice was loud, booming in the meeting room. Her Ivy green eyes made contact with yours, and she gave you a curt nod, heading out of the room. You were able to quickly find Johanna, who seemed less than pleased to have been given a rookie to drive around. She was talking with two other people, who snickered before walking away.

“ alright newbie, let’s go, ain’t much happens east end, we’ll be sitting in the middle of some parking lot for a while. Don’t expect me to hold your hand or something if we do have to pull someone over or something. You should know how to deal with tickets from the academy. “

“ yes maam, i was transferred here, so i do know a bit of- “

“ yeah great. Let’s go. “

Johanna called, leading you to her shop. It was a big black and white SUV, with the badge logo on each door, and the towns name on the bumper.

“ hey, don’t forget your belt stuff, you’ve gotta go check them out sense your new in the system. “

“ oh yeah! I’ll be right back maam! “

You quickly made your way through the station, making your way to the storage station. A nice older lady worked there, you explain your situation and she took your information. She then slid a small box through the small window of the office, inside was a new radio, a simple gun with a box of 10 billets, a yellow taser in box, and three pairs of cuffs.

“ now, everyday you’ll have to return the bullets of the gun, or the whole gun if you’d like, and the radio. This box is yours, and will be kept in your cubby in here, and everyday when you check in I’ll give it to you to gather your stuff! Your taser and cuffs stay in your locker, supposing you have a locker. “

You sighed, shaking your head. You hadnt had any time to get anything done before you were called in for the morning dispatch meeting. The lady gave you a soft smile.

“ well, if you don’t have one by the end of your shift, you can gives those to me aswell. I hope you have a good first day dear! “

“ thank you maam!! “

You quickly made your way back to the shop, opening the passenger side door. You shrieked, a small, brown cockroach was sitting right on the seat. Johanna bursted out laughing, scooping up the brown insect. Bending it to show it was just a peice of molded rubber.

“ ha. This’ll be fun. Alright, strap in, let’s go. “

You rolled your eyes, chuckling softly as you sat down, strapping into the seat. She pulled out, and you two were out, heading towards the east end.

All the officers were parked in an old parking lot, talking to eachother through the walkies in the cars. It was dead winter, and snow was blowing all across the cars.

“ hey, Newbie. The back windows all covered up, the snow brush is in the back. Will you go clean it? “

“ isn’t there a window brush? You can just turns nob and- “

“ it’s broken. Go on. “

“ I don’t have a jacket yet- “

Johanna only glared at you, and you groaned, stepping out of the vehicle, immediately freezing. You quickly grabbed the brush from the back, slowly trudging to the back window and brushing the snow off it, and chipping some fresh ice off the back with the scraper. It felt like forever until you were done. Suddenly, with a small buzz, the back wiper turned on, the black plastic when back and forth across the window, you could hear Johanna’s laughter from inside the car. You groaned, trudging back into the car, kicking the snow off yoir shoes.

“ sorry Y/N. It must off fixed itself! Cmon, let’s go check for tickets. “

Johanna snickered, and drove off, there was a mix of laughter coming from the radio. You knew it was gonna be a hard patrol day.

You finally got back to the station, your hair was frizzed, your skin was ice cold, and your shoes soaked through. Johanna had, in just one day, made you write every ticket, ‘ Accidentally ‘ hit you with snow, scared you with the fake cockroach again, and Locked you out of the car for atleast 5 minutes. She said it was to ‘ teach you resilience ‘, but you knew it was just cause you where the new rookie.

You checked your stuff into the box with the lady, who you finally learned her name, norma. She was a sweetheart, nicest person you’ve dealt with today.

You headed to clock out, getting stoped by the captain. She was a taller woman, Vanessa was her name, blonde hair, pale skin, and beautiful green eyes. She gave you a soft smile.

“ Y/N. How was your first day patrolling. You look like you’ve been dragged through the west end. “

“ Captain. Today was…eventful…just some..resilience training…today was fine..”

Her gaze slightly hardened, looking up. Johanna and the others where laughing and talking not to far behind you.

“ what did she do to you. “

“ nothing captain..”

“ tell me y/n. “

Her voice was deep, heavy. You sighed, holding your arm as you spoke.

“ just some..rookie pranks. Lost of snow..I’m freezing, pushing, shoving, just….stuff. I don’t feel really welcome I guess…”

Vanessa quickly took off her own jacket, laying it across your shoulder. She gave you another smile, before turning to the gathers of officers.

“ HEY! LISTEN UP! I hear anymore rookie pranks going on, I’ll personally make sure you assigned to janitor duty for a month! And you keep it up, you’ll get suspended without pay. “

Johanna shot dart like glares at you, and Vanessa shot them back. You smiled, dipping your head to your captain.

“ t-thank you captain- “

“ please. Call me Vanessa. Feel free to keep the jacket, I have spares. And here, incase you ever need a call. “

Vanessa handed you a card, with her number and full name on it.

“ I’ll be free for you hun. Go home, eat something. I’ll be seeing you tomorrow darling. “

You blushed lightly, nodding. You finished clocking out and headed to your car. You felt all giggly inside. You had the captains number, and she clearly favored you. Atleast you had the captain in your corner now.

ok so i had a galaxy brain moment earlier, and i wish to share my revelation w/ yall.

As everyone knows, Luz has an affinity for snakes. i mean, we literally see it in the first episode. BUT. a hint that her palisman is going to be a snake might have been hiding in full view even before that first episode.

consider the show's logo-

As is easily seen, the owlbert in the "O" of owl matches up with the right side of the H, creating a facsimile of eda's staff, palisman and all.

We only see the shape of the right side of the H in one other place: where it's been flipped to create the L. funnily enough, *that* also lines up perfectly with another letter- the S.

so if the O is representative of a palisman on top of a staff, then it makes sense that the S is meant to be a palisman as well. and what letter is most commonly associated with snakes?

S!!

I also don't think it's a coincidence that the main part of the "staff" is created by the L- it's literally the first letter in Luz's name.

so yeah, that's my wackjob "hiding in plain view" theory. i havent done one of these posts before so excuse me if i didnt explain it well lmao

progress report 7/9

jfc I am QUITE TIRED after this week lmao

SO most of you saw that Mori’s upgraded intro went public yesterday! The game had a very successful day on itch.io in terms of views/downloads (almost 600 new views, 115 new downloads, and over 200 browser plays), we got some new ratings and several new follows :D

this is super important because I only use word of mouth to advertise TCM and bring new players to it.

The original Mori chapter was submitted as an entry to 2021 Spooktober VN fest and that’s why it didn’t have Spicy Content lol. It was also made from start to finish in 30 days which... Was very difficult. There were several all nighters involved.

That version will be retired from Itch permanently, though it might be made available to p@trons at a later date as an archival thing.

It’s also available on Gamejolt for now and I can’t stress the For Now part enough. Gamejolt has been purging adult content and I’m not sure if me linking the 18+ version in the game description is enough to get it taken down or not. We’ll see lol.

ANYWAY. The new and improved version of Mori’s chapter has new scenes, more soundtrack, more lighting effects, cosmetic improvements to the UI/UX, and hot spicy scenes that are customized to the body type you choose at the beginning of the game. So even if you’ve played the old one, I think the new one is worth a look too :D

BUT also! I’ll be pushing the new chapter all weekend to try and scoop some new people up

And speaking of new people, wow I got an INFLUX of followers yesterday- WELCOME! Please tell me about your TCM mcs/tag me in posts/send me memes, whatever, I love engaging w yall.

OKAY other news- Atlas has completed Amir’s monster sprite, which means only the Chapter CG is left. Once I get that it will probably be 2-3 days of last minute implementation/bugfixing but then Sweet and Glorious Release!

Amir’s release schedule will look like this

Galleria/Level 4 P@trons gain access immediately after i finish it.

Uptown/Level 3 P@trons gain access after 3 days

Lower East/Level 2 P@trons gain access after 1 week

Pitrats/Level 1 P@trons gain access 2 weeks

Amir will go public once I release the next chapter, Akello, to p@trons.

Why is the schedule like this?

Game dev costs money and p@tron membership is critical to me being able to do this.

p@trons are involved in a lot of feedback and development choices so not only do I want to reward them for monetarily supporting the game, I want to give them time to share their thoughts and opinions to help me shape these characters and story.

But also p@tron membership helps me keep the game free for everybody, which is an all around win.

The other bonus is that I don’t have membership minimums for early access so if you desperately want to play the new chapter you can join at the 2$ level and get in on it as long as it’s hit that 2 week mark.

Okay... enough of that.

Yall have seen TCMs fancy new logo? Well, after fucking around with After Effects for a while I gave up and hired a professional to make me some slick animations. You’ll start to see these deployed on TCM’s itch page, the studio peaches website, and other socials.

I think... that’s everything going on this week?

I have June’s writing requests to post to the Galleria crowd, Uptown’s Q&As will be posted next week. Amir’s bonus side story will drop with his chapter release... We’re about 10 p/atrons away from the next community goal: another spicy Mori short story (which means More Kazu)

Difficult Class Choices (Kodoku’s Lilacs, The Life of a Flowstar, No. 118)

So yesterday, I went back to my school with my mom because there's something to do with college schools there about classes and stuff. We only talked to a couple of the different college people, and there were like ten there, so Idk what will be the best one that has photography or film. The college I'm gonna visit on monday with my classmates said that photography is a minor class, so if I wanted to, I could go part days and take that class. They did also say that they are planning to get it as a major class, so hopefully that's the case.

There was another college that we spoke to and seen if there was anything related to photography and the closest they got is digital marketing, which might also include programs like Word or Excel. They also had graphic designing and other stuff if I like to work from computers, like coming up with a design for something like logos or houses, so I could do that if I wanted to. And there was one they suggested me of just sitting around and watching security cameras on a store and see what I can save or not.

The problem is with the first two classes, maybe depending on the stuff, it's just hard to come up with something to put down for me, and when that happens, I tend to panic. And for the security camera one, maybe unless I'm on a drug to stay patient, it just feels boring to sit around looking on a screen all day, especially since I've been doing that with games for years, and how it might be boring. Oh well, in the end, you might as well gotta get that money because that's how nowadays life is, I suppose. Hopefully, that first college I'm visiting does put photography as a major next year, I'll most likely go there fo it. Until then, hope yall are having a goodnight.
