Over a thousand people from all over the region participated yesterday afternoon, Sunday 11 February, in the regional procession "Free Palestine, stop the genocide. With the resistance of the Palestinian people" organized in Genoa by the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions Movement, in which was joined by other movements, associations, parties, unions and a group of Palestinian refugees.
Opening the procession, escorted at the beginning and end by the police, was a banner also written in Arabic: "Generation after generation until liberation". Banners and posters [had] the words "Free Palestine", "Stop arms trafficking" and "Israel, EU, NATO, legalized terrorism". The exhortation "Free Palestine" was incessant.
Also in the square were a group of doctors in white coats with the sign: "Ceasefire now, 1,200 adults and 44 children without dialysis, 500 newborns a month without life-saving treatment, 10 thousand cancer patients without treatment".
