Hello, all you lovely heroes of tomorrow. We would like to welcome you to the Avengers Genesis program– a forming discord server made for this team to come together and face the terrors of our times. We like to hang out, we like to get to know each other, and currently, we are recovering from the Avenger’s rescue. With new villains showing up whenever things seem to calm down, there’s never a boring moment.

Rules

1. Be chill.

This is a place to have a good ole time. We want everyone to be a happy camper, so if something is making you not a happy camper please let a mod know! Don’t single people out && don’t be a dick.

2. No god-modding.

Respect people’s muses and their muses abilities! We will not be dealing with auto-hits or auto-anything. Also, do not move another mun’s muse to another area without permission or enter a room that is not yours without permission.

3. 18+.

Don’t be one of those people who lie about their age. We have adult themes, we’re keeping this between adults. If you are a minor, we will find out and we will remove you. This is a matter of safety and legality. Muses also must be over 18.

4. In-character drama needs to stay in-character.

Please know the difference between IC and OOC. Drama happens between our muses but it doesn’t need to happen between muns! Any OOC drama will be addressed && if you’re having a problem please let a mod know.

5. No duplicates.

Right now we will not be accepting duplicate characters. We know Marvel has many different versions of characters but that might make things a bit too confusing! If you’re dead set on a plot dealing with duplicates (ie. Pietro vs. Peter, Spider Noir vs. Spiderman, etc.) please approach the mods & the mun of the pre-existing muse.

6. Please discuss major plot points!

If something involves another character PLEASE involve the other mun. Let them know what’s going on and make sure they are okay with it! An example: no surprise deaths and no knowing things your character shouldn’t know.

7. Muse Limit

Four muses per mun are our current limit. We use the PluralKit Bot to maintain muses.

8. Posting Order

This rule only applies to big events involving five or more people, or fights. To keep everyone involved please establish a posting order. If someone has to leave, they can either ask to pause or have their muse bow out.

18+:

All our players need to be 18 years and older simply due to the nature of the topics that arise in the writing itself.

Discuss major plot points or ideas with the DM:

Currently our in-house @DM🧙‍♀️ is over looking the plot lines and plots. She loves it when people come to her with ideas. Or just come to her and tell her what you would like your character to experience.

Discuss things with your fellow writers:

We like to think of ourselves as open people that are open to many ideas. If your character development involves many people or even just one, don't be afraid to ask.

No duplicate characters:

This can over complicate things. However, one writer can write the same character from alternative time lines or Earths.

Muse Limit:

The amount of muses you have are determined by how active you are in the community.

OC muse limit:

One OC to every one canon character you have. You may join as an OC, but we ask you to have a detailed backstory that our DM can look over. We do make exceptions to this rule based on activity. For example, if someone joins as an OC and can only be active once a week at most, we would not pressure them to take on a canon character.

Time of leave:

Real life always comes first and we understand that people may need to take a leave of absence. But we do ask you to occasionally pop into general when you can to let us know you are okay. After all, we do worry.

In-character drama stays in-character:

Mun does not equal muse here.

No God-Modding:

This is self-explanatory. However, as an example: No one likes having their character taken from them to where they can't do anything or to the point where you are along for the ride. These aren't solo acts.

Posting order:

For larger scenes, there will be a posting order that should be followed. Falling out of sync can throw off the flow of the scene.

Blacklisting:

We encourage anyone to post what they are uncomfortable with reading in the #🚫blacklist. This is so other writers can put spoilers around the topic so that person can not read it. We would also like to point out that we do not black list characters. Having a strong dislike for a character is understandable.However, we do not want to limit someone's ability to write or stifle imagination.

Be Chill:

No one likes an asshole. We all have one—we don't need two.

NSFW:

All NSFW will be held in an invite only NSFW channel that can be muted. We understand that everyone has outside lives and don’t want NSFW content continuously popping up on their phone. Once your character gets to the point where they need a private NSFW channel please post in the #📰channel-requests section.

Bots:

Setting up bots in PK is a rather simple process that helps muns have more than one muse without having to change their name constantly. Once a mun picks up more than one character, we encourage you to make these bots for the ease of muse to muse communication. This takes out the added stress of having to change your name constantly.

Respect the mods:

Please respect the mods and their decisions they have the groups best interests in mind even though you may not agree with it. If a mod says something it is final you may comment about it however once a decision has been reached it is final.

Self-Promotions:

In regards to other RP servers and servers in general, ask before posting any invite links in the servers. This is a common rule known in the streaming community and one that we like to implement. Once you get the green light you may post the invite link in the Share section of the server. If not, we request that you do not post any invite links. Please note that all admins must approve the request.

What this article is, is basically informing us what is going on in modern politics with Planned Parenthood. David Crary is just a journalist that is interested in politics. What this article is about is that Planned Parenthood decides to leave this program called the Federal Family Planning Program or the FFPP. Because Trump decided to implement this thing with them that essentially prohibits them from referring women to abortions what so ever. So Planned Parenthood’s McGill Johnson responded with “ We will not be bullied into withholding abortion information from our patients” where they kind of disassociated themselves from the FFPP. They aren't the only ones who have also turned away from the FFPP, some other bigger clinics decided to branch off as well. Some states like Illinois and Vermont have come out to say that they will help and provide any lost funding from this. This is good for this paper just so we can have a sense of what's going on in modern times, because there always seems to be something new going on with PPH.

This article was written by Kayla Epstein (I wonder if she's related to Jeffery Epstein). This article was written for The Washington Post in early October. What this Article is talking about is that Kayla is informing us about recent events with Planned Parenthood and how they have opened a new Planned Parenthood clinic that had is right on the border of Illinois and Missouri. This article directly relates to the one I had talked about with Missouri. The reason for this clinic and its opening is for the people of Missouri that need some type of outlet to gain access to a Planned Parenthood clinic that can offer these abortions. Why this is crucial is because, as stated in the Missouri article, they were trying to basically take away the last Planned Parenthood’ss license to perform legal abortions. The thing about this clinic and why its so special is that it is just 13 miles away from the St. Louis clinic and it actually offers all the things Planned Parenthood could offer. This Information will be great for my paper because it can show how Planned Parenthood functions and how the can see an obstacle and see a way around it.

This news coverage was done by PBS news. What is essentially happening is that in Missouri there is one last Planned Parenthood clinic that is authorized to administer legal abortions to their patients, but their license to be able to administer those abortions is going to expire. The senator is trying to pass a bill to ban all abortions in the state of Missouri including those women who have been raped or any form of incest. So what Planned Parenthood is trying to do is, getting their license to perform abortions renewed and its gaining traction and people are in favor of this. A result of the state coming out against legal abortions, there are protesters and others showing that they do not support that this bill to be passed. Later on the news team brought on the President of Planned Parenthood to briefly discuss her stance on it, and she started to go off about how taking this opportunity to perform legal abortions can cause greater health risks for women. How so is that because you’re taking this away from women which will result in unsafe illegal abortions done by women. This is very interesting when comparing to to the article about Planned Parenthood wanting to emphasize birth control rather than abortion but seems that they want to hop right back into the legalization of abortion.

This is a Youtube video that was created by The Center for Medical Progress. The Center for Medical Progress is a group of citizen journalists that basically like to enforce what is ethical and what isn't in the medical community. In this video it was showing this journalist that was posing to be basically an organ buyer and talking to these representatives at Planned Parenthood. He essentially was trying to squeeze as much information out of them as possible. One thing he wanted to show is PPH (Planned Parenthood) is in fact selling baby fetal specimens to other distributors. Dr. Russo was saying that they try to manipulate the baby's position inside to the breech position because it preserves the baby’s body parts and keeps them as intact as possible. Next Dr. Russo started to talk about how they don’t use Digoxin for the time being to perform abortions due to a national shortage. Digoxin is the chemical used to perform the abortion when the baby is still inside the uterus. What this means is that the baby is getting pulled out still alive. Later he had called one of the distributors that sell the baby parts, DaVinci, and posed as a college student looking to purchase some fetal tissue for some research at his University. DaVinci sells loads of baby parts like fetal tissue, liver, fetal thymus and fetal brain, and the lady working for DaVinci says that they have a wide range catalog of all the different parts. This gives a great 180 degree perspective on Planned Parenthood and the way they like to push their organization and this information will be vital for my research paper.

This is an article that is written by Heather Prescott. Prescott is a Professor at the University of Central Connecticut. In this piece of writing Heather is showing the history of Planned Parenthood and how they were able to branch off from the political heavy face they had created for themselves to gain the public's interest into funding for new birth control methods for women in the United States. They first go about wanting to re-brand themselves and show the world that there is a “contraception gap” between the United States and the rest of the world. So they go ahead and host these conferences in major cities around the United States to provide more information and raise awareness for women, deans of medical schools, Physicians, and many others. They got down to finding a middle ground and straying from the political side of pro-abortion to gain favor for the government to fund women’s health/ birth control research so that women can have more options and be more educated. This article will be great in my research to help show how Planned Parenthood wanted to re brand themselves and still benefit women.

This is a journal that a Medical Director at Planned Parenthood had written to show what it is like in their daily lives. Raegan McDonald-Mosley is a Medical Director that has previously served as the Chief Medical Officer of Planned Parenthood when that whole scandal went on about them selling fetal tissue. The start of this journal she goes on about her personal life talking about meditation and taking her kids to school. But Mosley gets to the office at about 8:30 am and from 9 to about , she sees patients. She is one of the only full time Physicians there and with this time where she sees patients is where on some days she performs what she calls “permanent birth control” which supposedly is like IUDs’ and also examining patients and performing ultrasounds. Next, she has team leadership meetings where they get with the staff and talk about how they can improve and how they can make the work flow better. Lastly she mentions that she checks her emails, phone calls and overviews certain medical conditions for example she says “ If there is a medical condition that could lead to cancer, the medical director has to review the chart and sign off on it.” This journal will be great for my essay just to show what exactly some of these Planned Parenthood physicians go through on a daily basis.

This is a testimony that was given by Dr. Anthony Levatino. Dr. Anthony Levatino is a former abortion provider that owned his own practice a few years ago. In this testimony he goes on at the beginning talking about the several tools used to basically remove 2nd trimester babies. He states that he would reach up with these clamps and grab each baby part. Arm, leg, and finally he said you'd know you had the head when you had a wide grip and squeezed and white puss would come from the cervix and you'd know that was the baby’s head. Later he went on talking about his practice and why he stopped. He mentioned that he had adopted a child and they got into a car accident and the child had died there in his arms in the back of an ambulance. So then shortly after he stopped doing 2nd trimester abortions and then all abortions all together. This information is going to be great for the research paper so it can show more of a pro-life approach to this argument where all the previous research information showed a stance where they are more in favor of Planned Parenthood and funding for them.

This was written by Sarrah Torre. Sarrah Torre is an author that primarily focuses on policy issues that relate to family, religion and life. In this article Sarrah goes off with some facts about Planned Parenthood and why they shouldn't be funded by the federal government because basically, all of congress wanted some more facts before cutting off all funding for Planned Parenthood. The first facts she gives (which personally is probably the best one) is that Planned Parenthood is basically a billion dollar organization all because taxpayers are funding them. She claims that they make over $127 million dollars of revenue after all expenses and net assets over $1.4 billion. And also on top of that Planned Parenthood had received $528 million from just taxpayers money alone. Which comes out to about 41% of what their total revenue was. Another fact she had given was that they are on a constant decrease over the years of the preventative care that they offer. She says they performed 327,000+ abortions in 2014 and only had 1,880 adoption referrals and 18,000 prenatal screenings. These facts will be really useful to my paper to get a sense of numbers that Planned Parenthood puts up and how in comparison to other companies and health organizations how well they actually do.

This article is from The New York Times and it was written by Leana Wen. Wen is a Doctor who also was the President and Chief Executive of Planned Parenthood. Just recently Wen had left running Planned Parenthood. In this article that she wrote she went off about a few things that had driven her to leave the Planned Parenthood organization. Wen said she had joined Planned Parenthood to make a change in the way they are viewed and Planned Parenthood wanted that as well. She wanted to take this healthcare provider from being so politically heavy viewed to one of the big mainstream healthcare providers. So she said she had pushed for that and in doing so she helped all kinds of people, people who were pro-life that supported abortions so women doing go for harmful back-alley abortions. She had also helped people who only sought out their other prevention options. But Planned Parenthood apparently didn't want to steer from this political heavy mindset which Wen wasn't all for. This article would be nice to include in my paper because it can really show how some people with Planned Parenthood want to take the direction of it to help people who actually seek out help from them rather than making a statement for themselves and pushing for this pro-choice organization.

This article was written by Andrew Wolfson. There isn't really any information about Andrew other than him just being a journalist. In this article it goes on talking about Planned Parenthood of Kentucky and Indiana looking to branch out. So they had done just that and paired up with the North Western PPH. With this alliance it will allow them a $90 million+ budget and help them serve upwards to 164,000 patients. Why they have chosen to do this with the North Western PPH rather than the PPH’s around them is as they state “We felt it was important to help the mission of Planned Parenthood everywhere, not just in our neighborhood”. This is great to include in my research because it can show that planned parenthood is constantly looking to expand and find ways to create this funding. Which brings some type of pattern, more abortion and more money…
