This is the second time we've seen this banana. Does this mean that there will be a building in V10 with a big banana on it?

My favorite thing about the Rwby Beyond episode "Boba" has got to be the touching on small things. Like yeah they had the big conversation and I love it. But also Vacou citizens recognizing Ruby and Ruby...being awkward with it. Willing to take pictures with them but the little "Am I taking the picture?" moment was adorable. And how drained she was after because Ruby still isn't good with big crowds and being admired being new to her. How excited she was about the boba and "I can't believe you downplayed this" to Yang. Yangs awkwardness because she knows the conversation they're going to have and isn't sure how to broach it. And yes. Touching back on "normal girl with normal knees" I am still flying high and no one can bring me down.

One of RWBY's themes, especially in the later volumes, is how stifling and painful being expected to act perfect all the time really is.

So naturally, the fandom holds its characters to absolutely high standards and flip when they aren't 100% absolutely golden, or woobyfy them to such a degree that they can't see any of the flaws they're supposed to have.

Goddamn is it wild how you do a bit of speculation on how maybe Jaune and Oscar's characters could've been combined in an interesting way that would've both reduced male cast bloat and reinforced Jaune's theme of "wanting to be the hero but not being able to" by giving him a path towards it (merging with Oz) that would've, quite clearly, cost him himself by irrevocably changing who he is as a person, which at least to me is a pretty clear way of saying "this is not for you", and suddenly you're a "Jaune stan" trying to make him a bigger deal than the female leads?

Like, just... no? That wasn't my idea at all? I've been beating the "Jaune is not a main character" drum since I got into RWBY. I literally have all the RWBY/Jaune ship tags blocked because I despise fanon inflation of his character that much.
