i often feel very sad for the ultra rich. the more money they have, the more they have nothing. everyone strives and strives for meaning in life, looking for things to give them purpose and a reason to keep going. they don't realize the hole in their heart is God-shaped, and can only be satisfied by Him. our desire for eternity is because we were made for eternity; an eternity in Christ, full of Him and His wonders.

With His help, such a person will be able to see the essence of things and understand their mysteries. All knowledge is in God, and when He wills it, according to His mercy, He will reveal these mysteries to the mind of an individual. Even a simple, uneducated monk, by the mercy of God, can be given the gift of knowledge of the great mysteries of life and death, of paradise and hades, and learn about the inner order of things in this world. When the Kingdom of God enters a man’s heart, it is as though God takes away the veil of ignorance from his mind. Then, such a man understands not only the mystery of created matter, but also the mystery of his own being. Finally, in one sacred moment, God will reveal Himself to him in His infinite mercy, and he will behold the King of Glory just as he beholds the reflection of the sun on the water. In such moments God and man are one, and God’s Spirit works in him. Such a person lives in the world only in his body, while his spirit dwells in the Kingdom of God, with the angels and the saints, beholding the Lord.
