thinking about how much of a mother figure rebekah could have been to davina if marbekah got their shit together sooner

ugh that's actually so relatable because marcel and rebekah were circling around each other for SOOOO long and were basically the superior version of ross and rachel and i just. YOU WANT TO BE TOGETHER YOU'RE IN LOVE YOU'RE DAVINA'S PARENTS D A M N I T *face palms for eternity*

and yeah, that's actually super real because when has rebekah not wanted to have a child of her own? and in s1 she was so soft for and protective of davina, ya know, a real Savior Of Kids (which i mean i'm watching tvd right now and she was basically helping klaus turn a bunch of teens into Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hybrids so whos to say that she cares about the kiddos amirite). like disregarding TVD rebekah at her core is a very compassionate and maternal person, and i don't want anyone to infantilize davina because by the time s3 happened she was basically a grown adult, but she could have very much benefitted from having a Mom Figure A N D a dad/big brother figure in marbekah and i think they'd love to take care of her and make sure she gets the happy life she deserves. i can totally imagine them taking her to disney land, or the nola equivalent i guess and forcing the whole fam to come because it's an Original Family Outing.

also i fully believe in my heart that davina and hayley and cami became close sometime during s2-3, and were sad together about rebekah basically not showing up for more than 3 eps at a time.
